It's super effective - Let us all try and withstand the urge to reply and just let them think they're shadowbanned or something.
One of the main reasons they post their trash is to engage someone. Don't give them that. Lets let them fester at the bottom of the comment section with a lonely 0 replies.
They wouldn't like that at all.
Also, if you haven't got it yet - get RES browser extension which lets you add tags to people so you can tag trolls.
> Q. Can I take Lumberyard and make my own game engine and distribute it?
>No. While you may maintain an internal version of Lumberyard that you have modified, you may not distribute that modified version in source code form, or as a freestanding game engine to third parties. You also may not use Lumberyard to distribute your own game engine, to make improvements to another game engine, or otherwise compete with Lumberyard or Amazon GameLift.
>will the chassis warp
What you are taking about here is soft-body physics, the only game I know of that currently implements it is BeamNG.Drive. The reason it's so rare is it's extremely resource intensive, I can't see SC being able to implement it along with physics based fight, physics based damage and everything else while still having it run on a consumer grade machine.
I think it's much more likely that they will bounce off eachother and suffer all planed damage modeling including depressurisation and debris.
I just wanted to try something different so I created another partition on my SSD with Linux (Zorin OS). Also I want to get rid of Windows. The game runs very good so far, I also get very nice FPS... should be the same like with Windows.
Installation is also pretty straight forward:
- Just install a Linux distibution (I installed Zorin OS, just because im not very familiar with Linux and it's an easy to use distribution if you come from Windows). It will install almost everything you need (drivers etc.). First I installed it on a HDD with Star Citizen but you really feel a performance gain with a SSD so better install everything on a SSD!
- Install Lutris. Basically its a community project that makes it very easy to get Windows games running on Linux. You just search a game, for example Star Citizen and it will run community created scripts which install everything you need for a specific game.
- "Furthermore, to prevent crashes at areas with lots of geometry, the game needs a Linux resource limit named "vm.max_map_count" increased. To do this, execute: sudo sysctl -w vm.max_map_count=16777216"
- Then after you just started RSI Launcher and downloaded everything you have to copy /home/yourname/Games/star-citizen/drive_c/Program Files/Roberts Space Industries/RSI Launcher/d3dcompiler_47.dll to /home/yourname/Games/star-citizen/drive_c/Program Files/Roberts Space Industries/StarCitizen/LIVE/Bin64 and overwrite the old file. I had bad shader problems without this.
That's it. It runs and looks awesome as always :)
I don't know if this is okay to write but fuck it.
INN work their arses off to get these transcripts out for us, plus countless other shows, articles and up to the minute news. Upvotes are nice but pledging some money to support them is even better.
Come on, guys. Go to their Patreon Page and help them out. They're supporting the SC subreddit and the game itself, it's time to support them.
Hey guys. The Escapist thought checking people's faces with LinkedIn accounts was good enough to verify identity.
I am now a former artist for CIG. AMA?
If you want more proof, I can ~~make~~ find some paystubs, and tomorrow I can show you my ID card. Also, I just so happen to have a W2 with ~~a completely made up tax id~~ CIG's information
Edit: Regardless of what I post below this, the point is that only CIG, CIG's employees, and the IRS can really know who has or hasn't worked for CIG. I can give the benefit of the doubt to a named individual, but I don't trust games journalists presenting anonymous sources. Social engineering is too easy if just a few people collude. The IRS won't give the information, and they can't break the sources trust by verifying with CIG.
I'm not saying that The Escapist's sources are "for certain" faking their links to CIG. I'm saying that The Escapist couldn't know they were real unless they provided information that could only come from CIG or had been in a SC video. If some of the sources were unverifiable, but still quoted in the article, that seriously raises some questions. Either the writer and EiC are stupid or they are unethical. I don't know which is worse.
Given the incidents of MechWarrior Online devs turning hostile towards their users and going back on their word about game mechanics, I'll be treating any crowd funding that they want to do with extreme scepticism.
My mouth hit the floor when I saw this. Reminds me of the jump in the Freelancer intro.
Are systems scaled down quite a bit? I noticed they were only travelling 2200km. For perspective, our moon sits at 384,400km away from the Earth...
I'm not a lawyer, and don't know what the specifics of the licensing deal between CIG and Crytek were, but after reading the lawsuit, I have a number of questions:
This is ridiculous, not because cannons shouldn't be made semi-auto to balance their power, but because AutoHotkey exists and anyone who wants to maintain full auto on these weapons will just use a simple AHK script.
EDIT: So in summary, thanks CIG for nerfing a large percentage of my opponents!
So lemme introduce you to Jira. Jira is the software CIG and many other companies use to track work. If you've used Trello before you'll be familiar with the basic concept.
Jita was originally created as a customer support ticketing system, so the word "issue" is a legacy holdover from that time. Issues in Jira just means "thing to do". In softwareland parlance if we wanna write up a task that could be completely unrelated to a problem (like, say, add animated cat gifs on the website) that would be called writing a ticket or writing an issue. It doesn't mean there's a problem. Hence why the things are listed as tasks, and some are listed as bugs.
Here's his LinkedIn profile. It's public, so nothing wrong with it.
I talked to Alex one time on a press event for Diablo 3, really nice guy and it seemed he loved working at Blizzard. If this is true I wish him the best.
But key staff members leaving CIG is really not good, specially when production seems to be at it's peak.

Because I was bored, I checked their SPF record (main reason for deliveribility issues is a messed up record or lack there of).
It looks like they're using the SPF type instead of the TXT type.
What does this mean? Well it means your email provider likely rejected their email due to this invalid record.

Someone should message them and get that fixed.
Brownie points if they manage to get a DKIM record in place as well.
my internet slows to a crawl when using a VPN.. I go from 6 MB/s to 600 Kbps..
The ISP's are catching on.. Any VPN traffick gets throttled
Using Private Internet Access as well. doesnt matter what server i use.. it's always the same max speed. AT&T LTE for those who are wondering.
I don't think it's a coincidence that the first review was posted on October 18th - the exact same day manzes/jcrg99 (who has pretty much devoted his life to talking shit about CIG) posted it to an MMO forum. And I don't think it's a coincidence that one of the other reviews misspelled "morale" in the exact same way. It could be, but I don't think it is.
Actually, it's a very applicable non-reddit analogy from a book on software project management called "The Mythical Man-Month". It's been used to describe the fallacy of adding more developers to speed up a project since the 80s.
For these types of experience sites, it's all too common (IMHO). It's great to create an immersive experience, but if it breaks on mobile and slows down user actions in general...not so great.
How about Elite: Dangerous (actually manages a 0/100 for Desktop and Mobile):
And take a look at the test for eveonline.com:
That being said, Google tends to weight their test in ways that are not always indicative of real-world performance, and a small fix with little perceivable impact can bump scores 20+ points.
SSDs are extremely inexpensive right now, and it's right-around the time people tend to buy things for one another, so... two low-cost SSD options to consider. If you have an m.2 slot, option 1. If you don't have an m.2 slot, option 2:
That said, it is possible to play Star Citizen installed to a mechanical (magnetic disk) HDD, but the experience will include a lot of stutters as assets are loaded from storage into RAM (and CPU L3/L2/L1 cache). With enough RAM (32 GB, typically), this stuttering is reduced after playing the game for a while as (almost) all assets can be loaded into RAM and kept there. With 16 GB, it'll be more frequent, but not unbearable.
The only way to know whether you'll be fine 'tolerating' the stutters is by watching for a 'Free Fly' event during which you can download and play the game without a game package (no purchase necessary). There will likely be a Free Fly event during the holidays, but I can't be 100% certain. I don't work at CIG.
yeah might as well shell out the extra $50 for an actual printer at this point
I got an X56 to replace my old X52 Pro but was deeply underwhelmed by it and was really happy to return it for a refund when it turned out to have a fault with the throttle not going beyond 80%
Ended up going for this - the Thrustamaster T.1600M FCS instead https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaster-T-16000M-FCS-Hotas-PC/dp/B01H6KXGDY which has now been working really nicely in ED and SC for a year now
Just check this,
https://trello.com/b/KbugnSRJ/subnautica-roadmap
https://trello.com/b/yxoJrFgP/subnautica-development
It's more open than everything you mentioned. they have also have trellos for design, the stuff that is already done, playtesting, bugfixing, you name it. All there, in the open, for you to see.
You're welcome
From the FAQ: Q. Is it okay for me to use my own servers? Yes. You can use hardware you own and operate for your game.
It's referring mostly to services similar to AWS. Incidentally, I see Polygon has already managed to put the most negative spin on this development they could possibly manage.

> They are showing their internal schedule since Dec of last year for Christ sakes. Who does that.
Off the top of my head, because I've played both games: the dev teams of Subnautica and Rust.
There are many indie game projects that are fully open with their development, as opposed to CIG's sort-of-open, mostly-closed development of both SC & Sq42.
Is there a slowed down version and/or pics of the individual screens floating around?
Edit: credit to u/KriLL3 posting this.
It happened because you most likely:
Used an easy to guess/weak password and/or one that you used elsewhere. Never use the same password on multiple websites and you better go around checking all other sites where you used that password because the hackers may not have stopped with just your Star Citizen account. Check your email address on https://haveibeenpwned.com/ it'll tell you if they were compromised and also when and how.
Ignored the notices about 2 factor authentication being implemented that every backer received or neglected to set it up. They made a post on the website about it, they talked about it on the monthly report, they talked about it on Around the Verse, they sent emails to every backer about it. Once the system was up and running no one could log into their account unless you either went through the process of setting it up or explicitly declined to use it. It's possible your hack happened before that system went online though.
>...gifting a package or deleting the whole account should require an email confirmation...
Gifting a package and/or deleting your account DO give you email notices/confirmations. The thing is the hackers change your email address in your profile to one that they control once they get access to your account so you are not alerted to what they are doing.

I'm not concerned with the "inner voice" being voiced. I'm concerned that it exists at all. It should match what your player is about to say.
Tons of people weren't happy when FO4 went with voice choices that didn't match what your player actually says. There's even a mod to fix it that got main stream coverage.
It was a widely agreed upon to be a poor choice in FO4. Why is it a better choice in S42?

Here you go!
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/fly-now
Be advised the game is in an alpha state and as such is buggy, incomplete and unoptimised.
You can still get a taste for the game and try out a whole bunch of different ships but even basics are still being worked on. Do not expect a finished game for some time yet!

Second, this is run to showcase DLSS, the new AI-driven upscaling which is another RTX feature.
EDIT: I want to make this as clear as possible: Wait For Benchmarks
The "Play Now" link gives a more streamlined selection
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/play-now
But it's still confusing because they don't make it perfectly clear what you're buying or what the hangar/insurance are for.
Yeah, I agree. The How to Play section offers a lot of good information and, from what I can see, tells you most of the stuff you need to know to play the game — but the presentation of it feels overwhelming and bit unorganized.
Then you have the About the Game section, which is an ADD person's worst nightmare with its myriad of pop-ups, interactive menus, scrolling pictures, and enough links to max out your RAM with chrome tabs, lol.
Which is ironic since we don't have a more visible link to commonly-used things like the Electronic Access rental store and the StarMap.
This last website update was terrible in my opinion. It added a ton of updated information and visuals, which is great — but yeah, the presentation kind of ruins it.
Some highlights:
> Seperate taps = No mixer valve
You know that you don't need an actual mixer valve right? You can have independent valves leading to a single tap.

> Q. Do I have to run my game on AWS?
> No. If you own and operate your own private servers, you do not need to use AWS. You also don’t need to use AWS if your game does not use any servers. For example, if you release a free-standing single‐player or local-only multiplayer game, you pay us nothing
Rust's devblogs are much more disciplined. Just detailed release notes/commentary (for each weekly release) and some recently completed concept art.
Meanwhile, cig's monthly report feels like they go to each department and have them write a couple paragraphs. It's a sluggish "bureaucratic" document and rarely shows new content/info for the first time.
Like, go read the "liveops" section of the Nov 16 report and tell me that's useful info. It's basically, "We helped on the releases that you're already aware of, so thank all these people." Player Relations is the same way. The whole thing starts to read as a very "me too!" document.
Now go read the dev blog 143. There's agonizing detail about the game. No self-congratulatory bullshit or filler. Just content.
Actually there are quite a few examples out there, that did this before (and in my opinion more indepth)
for example Interstellar Marines did a trello back in the days and updated it daily.
also Frontiers Elite Dangerous has an indepth status report with actual financial status updates
this are just a few examples out of my head, i'm sure there are more games
I would like to remind you all that using a pre-paid card for purchases to avoid VAT is illegal, by no means should anyone use companies like wise.com to create a Canadian account to avoid VAT.
read this for MW:O info, and a glimpse as to the people behind it. http://www.gamefront.com/mechwarrior-online-forum-ragesplosion/
Made by PGI. Cash grabbing tools that botched MW:O.
They are considering basic game play mechanics stretch goals.
They delete any and all forum content that is critical of them, and ban users for posting critical content ANYWHERE, not just in their forums.
The official subreddit is moderated by PGI employees, against reddiquette, using the same banhammer in point 3.

> Who says it needs to be done early?
David Braben, the guy who made the current reigning king of VR experiences. Read about the early design decisions they made and how it helped them achieve success here.
Beyond that, Code Complete, which is the current reigning manual of software construction.
This is a core principle that drives the behavior of most modern development processes and pipelines, and missing or neglecting major requirements early is the number one killer of software projects.
If people want to upvote the IGN link instead, I'll delete this post; no worries. :)
You hear that? $90m VANISHED into thin air, gone. All we got was arena commander and a social module. The FPS module has been outsourced to India. How do i know? I'm in contact with this former dev.
Sorry to ask but, shouldn't children be covered under the health care plan of the parents? My understanding is that he has got health insurance via his employer, that would be CIG. Doesn't the health care plan CIG offerers it's employees cover their children?
Sorry if those are dumb questions, it just seems inconceivable to me that a father who works at an IT firm in a first world country has no health insurance for his children. https://www.healthcare.gov/young-adults/children-under-26/
Edit: CIG health care plan according to glasdoor (take with a grain of salt): https://www.glassdoor.de/Zusatzleistungen/Cloud-Imperium-Games-US-Zusatzleistungen-EI_IE776546.0,20_IL.21,23_IN1.htm?&countryRedirect=true
"Here's a breakdown of their actual benefits. FACTS: - Medical, Dental & Vision care is 100% free for employees and fully paid by the company (employees who add dependents on their plan only pay 25% of the cost while CIG pays 75%) Medical - CIGNA PPO Network Dental - Humana PPO Vision - Guardian VSP PPO *PPO - Any doctor and/or specialist within the network (biggest network for healthcare in the U.S.) Since Deductible is $5,000, CIG has a Health Reimbursement Program where employees receive reimbursement for any medical expenses that exceed $1,000 Employees receive short and long term disability for illness/injury (meaning if you are out you are on job protected paid leave)..."
Either this is wrong, or I don't understand it or the criticism of the US health care system in this thread is at least in this case a bit unwarranted.
I don't think it'll be an issue if the private server is running on your own PC.
>Q. Do I have to run my game on AWS? No. If you own and operate your own private servers, you do not need to use AWS.
>I should warn now: It's gonna go up a similar amount for the flight ready sale, so this will still be the cheapest chance to get a Starfarer.

That's Merriam-Webster which apparently likes to add in words that other dictionaries don't take as formal use.
Source: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/funner
>Merriam-Webster, however, gives fun as an adjective without comment, and states that funner and funnest are ‘sometimes’ used. Because of the remaining stigma, more fun may be preferred in formal writing.
Also see Source: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/us/definition/american_english/fun
>The use of fun as an adjective meaning ‘enjoyable,’ as in we had a fun evening, is now established in informal use, although not accepted in standard English. The comparative and superlative forms funner and funnest, formed as if fun were a standard adjective, should only be used in very informal contexts, typically speech.
Just to add a couple more notes: it'll also be at least 15 jumps to get from one end of the known universe to another, and potentially 5-30 minutes to navigate unknown jump points. I'd also take most of these numbers - including the 30 minutes per system figure - with a grain of salt, since: a) you'll be dropped out of cruise speed and into combat instances along the way, and b) it was very early in development and somewhat predated the current cruise speed plan.
All you need is one of the two starter packages listed at the bottom of this page. Before you purchase, please make sure you properly understand the developmental state of Star Citizen and are ok with what will likely be a long and slow development process. This is NOT a finished game, it is buggy, performance isn't great, and it's missing features. All that aside, if you're sure you want to try it out, those two packages, and anything else on the store that says "Game Package" and lists "Star Citizen Digital Download" as included will give you game access.
No. Battlefield 1 recommends 16GB, and even Call of Duty recommends 12GB these days. Those games seek out a far wider audience :P
I posted this article elsewhere in the thread. It's pretty good but apparently things have gotten even worse since this was written.
It really reads like a "How Not to Launch a Game" guide, because PGI messed everything up. It's really the antithesis to Star Citizen.

I wouldn't recommend reading the comments, our friend ponymilar is once again moaning about the game using one of his alts.
that's how it works in EVE Online. All those famous pvp battles involving thousands of people were happening at an incredible snails pace because the only real solution to handle a battle that big, was to slow the game down: https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/introducing-time-dilation-tidi
edit: but eve is not a real time simulator like star citizen so they can get away with it
This is my first go at 3D printing a SC ship model. I grabbed the model from the Holo Viewer and did quite a lot of clean up and fixing and sent it to be printed at Shapeways (~$20 with S&H). Turned out better than I expected, it's not perfect but I'm happy with it for a first run. Probably going to try the Cutlass or Avenger or Retaliator depending on how good/bad the Holo Viewer model is.

If you're already able to log into the RSI website, you should see a "play now" button that takes you to https://robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/play-now. Go there and see what you can see.

Yes, there are too damn many. Who are these jerks?
In all seriousness, there are a lot... most of us knew there would be. And they can bury discussion posts before they have a chance to get noticed. Perhaps the mods (/u/qwints, /u/GentlemanJ, /u/Jumbify) could add a SCREENSHOT flair to the list of flairs and hope that jerks like me use it. We have ARTWORK, CREATIVE, FLUFF, etc... but nothing specifically for screenshots. Then, if you use <strong>RES</strong> (Reddit Enhancement Suite), you could filter out posts with the SCREENSHOT flair and ignore them for a while.
On the flip side... I've seen many screenshot posts generate some very interesting gameplay and tech discussions themselves. The vast majority of them don't though.
CS* (Cross Section) missiles.
Its not even all CS missiles. StrikeForce IIs which are also CS missiles are substantially more balanced since they don't maneuver that well and have a lower proximity explosion distance than the Tempest IIs meaning you can avoid them by simply paying attention. Tempest IIs on the other hand have pretty much the best or near best specs in most categories, they can maneuver better than any other s2 missile and have a high enough proximity explosion distance to explode and do damage even as they pass by which makes them much harder to avoid, especially in the slower ships. That's not to say you can't avoid them, it just requires a lot of effort and basically puts you out of the fight while you are evading the missing during which you are an easy target to pick on.
Yes you aren't alone. A lot of people have simply stopped playing and most of who are left are just spamming Tempest IIs at each other. Battle Royale is completely unplayable for me due to all the Tempest spammers.

This is from the Lumberyard FAQs:
> Q. Can my game use an alternate web service instead of AWS? No. If your game servers use a non-AWS alternate web service, we obviously don’t make any money, and it’s more difficult for us to support future development of Lumberyard. By “alternate web service” we mean any non-AWS web service that is similar to or can act as a replacement for Amazon EC2, Amazon Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Amazon S3, Amazon EBS, Amazon EC2 Container Service, or Amazon GameLift. You can use hardware you own and operate for your game servers.
> Q. Is it okay for me to use my own servers? Yes. You can use hardware you own and operate for your game.
Emphasis mine.
It doesn't prevent CIG from making the excuse you state, but they can't claim it's a contractual restriction, at least.
This is a big reason why we need the Linux version. Don't mind waiting because I know it was promised to be released, just hope it's available when the universe persistence becomes permanent, not released as an after thought.

I'm only using Windows at the moment for PUBG and Star Citizen nothing else. Completely moved to Ubuntu since Steam Play was launched. It's so liberating to have a PC that does what I want and have some privacy back. I'm running a Pi-Hole on my home network (a black hole for DNS requests to advertising and tracking sites on the internet and runs on a Raspberry Pi - https://pi-hole.net/). It really highlights the ridiculous amount of advertising and tracking going on on Windows, Android and Apple devices on my network. Linux is a stark difference in comparison. It's kinda scary.
> I want to know how to capture a high quality PNG .
Simplest way? Download MSI Afterburner - ignore the bulk of it - but go in to the settings and set up the "screen capture" tab.
Keep it running while playing SC and you can take a screenshot using the key you designated which will save to the folder you designated.
The screenshot will be the same resolution as you set the game up to run in.
If you want to force high quality screenshots...
...say (6K or 4K) despite not having a monitor that natively plays at that resolution, it gets a little more complicated. It's possible to do it using nVidia DSR or by setting the user.cfg file to allow higher resolutions than you could normally play on.
This can be tricky to get working and (for me) results in crashes.
AWS is a cloud provider, they will gladly virtualize you pretty much anything you ask for.

Edit: there's enough oxygen in the air humans exhale to cover breathing indefinitely if the energy requirements for converting exhaled H2O and CO2 into O2 and CxHx carbon chains were covered. Source https://www.quora.com/Human-Physiology/How-much-oxygen-is-left-in-the-air-we-breathe-out
Elijah has been a bitter little turd since he got fired for making Drunk inappropriate misogynist comments in chat over a year ago.

I think it's a subtle bird flying for those who complain about phone pics of screens.
Obligatory ShareX suggestion. As much as I agree with the sentiment that complaining about how a screenshot is made is silly, this tool is one I highly recommend.
> Didn't that die with facebook?
Haha, good one... Facebook is still the second most visited site on the whole internet, second only to google.com.
Twitter is still very much a thing too, at number 9.

Are you even trying? If not, here is an additional spoon-feed:
PC REQUIREMENTS;Windows 7 (64bit) with Service Pack 1, Windows 8 (64bit), Windows 10 - Anniversary Update (64bit) DirectX 11 Graphics Card with 2GB RAM (4GB strongly recommended) Quad Core CPU 16GB+ RAM SSD strongly recommended
Nexuiz was a community made open source game. The gamemodes, the weapons, the design, and concept were all contributed by several different members of the community.
Illfonic took the Nexuiz name and the existing source code and closed it all off as a proprietary project at that point. They turned it into a commercial project (in their defense, they did end up swapping to another engine, but keeping the weapons and game design the same) and selling it for a profit.
The open source community didn't want to appear like they were ripping off a commecial project (when it was the exact opposite) so they pretty much had to re-invent their game from scratch, which became http://www.xonotic.org/
Probably not. Your computer has a weak processor that might work, but not well. It has onboard graphics (As far as I can tell) which won't cut it, and only 6Gb ram, where 16GB is pretty much needed, additionally you need an SSD where your computer only has an HDD. Essentially it fails at every requirement.
Now, all is not lost - Have a look at cloud computing! Shadow gaming is the most well known, but there are a few others. If you aren't familiar with the term, essentially it means you rent a virtual computer and run it through your older hardware. There are several plans, but are reasonably cheap, and if you have good internet and want to squeeze the most out of your laptop. I'll have a look at some examples and put them in an edit.
I got lazy, just look them up. Shadow is probably the best bet though.
To put his comment about the cost of patches into perspective: the new CDN that they use is Amazon Cloudfront. Pricing for it is fairly cheap as CDNs go...but still, multiple petabytes out per patch is a fuck-ton of data.
Cloudfront pricing is freely available from AWS: https://aws.amazon.com/cloudfront/pricing/
Based on this and Chris's "multiple petabytes per patch" comment, they are probably dropping about $100k per patch JUST TO GET THE DATA OUT TO US. No seriously...$20k to $25k per petabyte.
Here is his LinkedIn profile, which clearly gives an end date to his CIG employment.
16gb is basically the standard for a gaming rig these days, has been for years. This just happens to be a game that really does need more than 8gb (this game can actually use more than 16gb, 32gb would be recommended), but some people have success increasing their page file (provided you have an SSD).
I'd recommend upping the RAM in your laptop anyway, it's a very simple upgrade to do and shouldn't be that expensive, and it'll benefit you across the board. Honestly "gaming" laptops shouldn't be sold with only 8gb anymore, that's just screwing the customer. I dropped a couple links to some kits to use as reference.
I'm loving my Thrustmaster FCS HOTAS pack. (TWCS is the throttle, FCS is the combo) Default bindings for the throttle aren't there (since it's brand new) but the stick that comes with it is among the most popular (Thrustmaster T16000M). Another advantage of this, if you decide to go dual stick, you already have an ambidextrous one.
If you're on a budget, the Thrustmaster HOTAS X isn't half bad, but it is decidedly entry level.
Edit: corrected TWCS to FCS and added Amazon links.
> Honestly, I would say that CR and CIG have been way more open with backers than a typical game company
No they haven't. They release marketing fluff, that's all. For a real open dev look at games like Subnautica https://trello.com/b/yxoJrFgP/subnautica-development
Never forghet Chris tried getting a publisher, this is conveniently 'forgotten' by backers, but it is true. He tried and failed.
Ender's game is a an amazing book and I would also recommend Ender's Shadow series which runs in parallel with Ender's Game. I honestly thought Bean's story was more interesting but they are both great series.
Since you have done so much work for Star Citizen I will add you on patreon, should help you maybe. And since there are so many Drama posts, I hope one or two Star Citizens could join me here is the https://www.patreon.com/gamersnexus link.
I was not the one who copied your work, but I hope it lessens the pain.
Edit for broken link fix
Great content as always. Thank you for that.
You definitely earned your whitelist in my adblock - at least thats what I thought. But there are no ads! Though there is a patreon, so since this is the starcitizen community (a "put the money where your mouth is" community) I'll leave this here as a little heads up for others who missed this fact:
Here for example, but check my edit. CR himself said that the majority are just 40$ backers.
Latest update, everything is working and registering in game now. Added some basic button animations, added Match Speed button, and shield top and bottom controls (for ships who eventually will have all 6 sides). The 4 menu selects along the top will move the menu UI in game as well, so you can use the control pad to navigate the UI menus in game if you so desire.
All the basics are there, but not a whole else to add until we can get some more control options for AC.
If you have any suggestions on layouts you'd like to see for default folks and any options within reason let me know.
Also I'm halfway to raising the funding for the android export module for the engine I use, if your interested in donating to help this thing get going let me know, I'm 150 shy of the goal and need the help!
Edit: If your interested in helping it get off the ground you can follow this link: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=WUZCTWF9M5J38 Currently setting up a simple webpage with the download information. I'm technically going to put the app in fiction created by a fictional company in the verse. Want to give it its own lore and such as well eventually and the reasoning it exists in the first place :)

Note: I didn't do all of them. Many were done by /u/nocturnal_nick.
You can't really walk around on the ship though. There is another game that basically is Artemis with walking on ships though. The name escaped me, I'll look for it.
Edit: Remembered it pretty much the moment I clicked "save".
Pulsar: Lost Colony. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/leafygames/pulsar-lost-colony
There is a "How to play" section.
There's a whole playlist of tutorials and others have made some on YouTube.
You're right about atmospheric re-entry, but gas nebula are extremely diffuse. Even at mach 1.5 there would be little resistance from the gas.
> The density in the nebulae is very low, ranging from several hundred to a million atoms per cubic centimeter. Such conditions are better than any vacuum one can achieve on Earth.

어차피 공부 많이하시고 수능 잘 보세용~~
Edit: Essentially the Korean University Exams takes place once a year as the entire senior population take the same test (around 8~12 hours). The entire country comes to a standstill as jetliners are diverted, police/taxis/and random mortocycle volunteers provide free rides to students running late, and mothers pray in front of gates of the schools for the entire duration of the test. Also it is a no school day for rest of the student population to assure that the seniors have a quietest environment possible for the test. Some subjects every student needs to take are: korean history, language, hanja (korean characters), logic, philosophy, math, chemistry/sciences, english, etc.
Source: College Student from Korea (luckily I went to american college so I didn't need to take this test) But its basically 1+ year of straight studying for it. Majority of students even rent temporary study spaces (basically rooms full of desks) and sleep at the desk while studying for it.

And now the huge storm is probably over, they don't even have proper stretch goals anymore;)
According to this chart: https://script.google.com/macros/s/AKfycbzbixsVFtLZMQ2pVVaQc_jT0w-vNBw5GI7zsiQ9gnakMRHJ1A/exec
we're slowing down. We were 130k away from 6m projected. Now it's closer to 200k.
6m is close, but potential. And we get extra missions for all pledgers! That alone is worth the push! Lets get us there!
edit: I really want the extra missions so put my money where my mouth is. Added a Hornet to my hanger.
edit 2: with the US waking up, the projection is just over 6m now. We've got a real chance!
For people that cannot wait there is a slightly advanced fix.
The game might hit more breakpoints with errors, just keep pressing continue. If this doesn't help then (for example memory violation) it probably crashed for good and just need to quit using the box.
EDIT: Added an extra step such that the debugger is no longer required.
