Not sure how well this will be received, but if you are looking for an android space game, Galactic Phantasy Prelude is actually a very well made and beautiful game. It gets repetitive real fast, and the ships are twice as expensive as SC... but even with the default ship you can play 20-40+ hours and really get into it. The voice acting is also very well done.

Galactic Phantasy Prelude is a really good one, free with IAP but I haven't found you need them yet. Offers dogfighting, trading, mining, pirating.
