For the martial artists: Tae Kwon Do is only around 60 years old.
~~Thesis paper I wrote for my black belt~~ Moved to Google Docs
If you want other links I'd have to look online for a bit, but there is a lot of misinformation because Korea wants to world to believe TKD is an ancient art.
EDIT: Some people think I'm saying Tae Kwon Do isn't based on older martial arts. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying Tae Kwon Do is NOT based on Taekkyon or other so called "ancient" arts from Korea and is fact based on Karate and a little Chuan Fa. I lay this all out in great detail in my thesis.
Careful, careful... misleading title. I am french and follow technology-related legislation very closely. What happened here is that google were accused of having too strong a monopoly, as they can (ab)use their search engine to promote their own content over that of their opponents.
I do not agree nor disagree with this decision yet, as I want to know more about it before I make myself a final opinion. Just keep in mind that the title is misleading and google were not being accused of providing a free service at all here.
Anyone who speaks french can read this opinion piece to learn more about the case. They strongly take an anti-google stance there, despite being famous for defending anything free. A link to the official judgement can be found here, also in french, which is what I want to read before making my own opinion on this matter.
It is theorized that getting potatoes increases your CPU power, no idea if it's true or not but it'll help anyway. People should be playing any Potato Sack game they own, it'll help more if everybody is playing the same game though. Once we fill up a bar, we can focus everybody's attention on a different bar making the whole process faster.
The Wonderful End of the World is completed!
Right now, everyone should be playing 1...2...3... Kick It! or AaAaAA but at this point anything will help, Killing Floor really needs a boost.
Steam will only keep track of one Potato Sack game at one time, so there is no point in opening more than 1 game
Edit: Go ahead and idle your game
This is the guide on how to collect all 36 potatoes, collecting them all will unlock a secret reward in Portal 2!

I found the source article here.
The conclusion is:
> Higher BMI z score in girls as young as 36 months of age and higher rate of change of BMI between 36 months old and grade 1, a period well before the onset of puberty, are associated with earlier puberty, which suggests that increasing rates of obesity in the United States may result in an earlier average age of onset of puberty for US girls.
This is a study about finding a relationship between higher BMI scores and early puberty onset, which they did. That is kind of interesting on its own. However, the word 'father' is never used in the article and all the data seems to be ~~made up by Oliver James.~~
EDIT: Princesszetsubo pointed out an article that does support the claim. I uploaded it to googledocs if you want to see it here. They conducted research that determined there is a correlation leading to younger menarche with a lacking father figure, so it is true, it was just never cited.
EDIT2: So I emailed Oliver James earlier if he had a source and he got back to me. He stated the problem is with the website; they don't put up the complete list of references. He also attached the article he used, here. It essentially parallels the findings of the previous articles and has many relevant references.
I thought it was so much cleaner this way...
I'm sorry to anyone who could not read the image. It was an uncompressed png, and it seemed legible even on my cell phone. But, I've made you guys a PDF file. :)
Edit: Actually, nvm, his Reddit username is YellowLord, not YellowKing, and he's banned from PiF as well. YellowKing's his Steam username.
Edit2: Ok, so Yellow_King and Yellowlord are, according to <strong>the PiF ban list</strong>, one of many alt accounts someone has, they're banned from the subreddit.
The ban list also lists another person as banned, the reason is "Found PiF in 2 hours of account creation, enters PiFs, deletes history, Friends with yellowking".
So I'm guessing they ban suspicious looking people who happen to be Steam friends (not Reddit friends) with YellowKing, because they suspect them of being alt accounts, or at least shady. Dunno if DoubleNyher aroused the mods' suspicions in any other way, if not, then the ban is kinda stupid imo. But I'm not a mod, I'm sure they know quite a bit more :)
Edit3: <strong>Post at PiF by another mod</strong> says: "He's banned for a reason. His "friends" were banned for a reason. We suspect his "friends" of being alternate accounts trying to get around our rules." and "I will talk to the people that were banned and get to the bottom of this."
So hopefully this'll get sorted out, my guess'd be the top mod went around banning anyone friends with YellowKing on Steam, and may have been a bit too trigger happy. But honestly, I dunno, we're only seeing OP's side of the story, maybe there's other stuff that made him look bad.
And stop spamming their subreddit ffs, it's a good place dammit D:

Edit: The comments made me pull up the papers I wrote (even though this was 5 years ago). My midterm paper was Bruce Lee paralleling Hong Kong as both are a fusion of Western influence without giving up Eastern ideology, and my final paper was a reconstruction of "Hero" and "Rashomon" using the broken narrative structures to piece together a message that transcended the movie.

My final paper was titled "Puns and Wordplay in the Television Series Arrested Development." The professor was a humor scholar and he had never heard of the show - he was a much older gentleman - so he was thankful that I introduced him to the show.
Hell, I was just thankful I could submit a paper - in grad school, mind you - about how Tobias Fünke is "buy curious" and will allow Michael to "zing your arrow into my buttocks anytime."
EDIT: Here is "Puns and Wordplay in the Television Series <em>Arrested Development</em>". It's 15 pages long. It's not as scintillating as I remember, and it suffers from me double-spacing after every period (eesh). But hey, I got an A on it.
I just did my thesis on plus size models. Read it here.
Oh goodness. Ill try to get on tomorrow and help out. I've been waiting years for this moment.

POLL: 313. Digital Exploration of Interior Design
Stealing top comment, but I also did some investigation into the content of his marketing website. Considering the grammar and spelling in his emails, I knew the words used on his website could not be his own.. I was right.
OK - first take a look at this: https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1zp_HHPnwQIk0iopDHy5OBzCutwJI9tA7FJLuuFhVPfU/edit?hl=en_US
Anything at altitude is subject to gravity, which will draw it back towards the planet's centre of mass. First, let's look at object A. The green arrows indicate the gravitational vector. The only way to keep this satellite in a stable orbit, is for it to be moving sideways fast enough that the 'fall' due to gravity maintains it at the orbit altitude.
Object B is in a higher orbit, and you'll see that it has a smaller gravity vector. Similarly, to maintain its orbit it needs less orbital velocity.
Hence, low earth orbit objects need a high orbital velocity (the ISS orbits about 16 times a day, at 27,700 km/h), while high orbits have a lower orbital velocity (geostationary satellites travel only one orbit a day, at about 11,000 km/h).
Back to the original question - while you would be stepping off your building and dropping, you would be imparted with enough velocity to maintain a geostationary orbit. Bare in mind - this only works at geostationary altitude. If you stepped off higher up you would be placed in an orbit for which you were travelling too fast, and hence you would prograde away, while if you stepped off at lower altitude you would be travelling to slowly and would follow a retrograde orbit to eventually burn up in the atmosphere.

BETTER NEW VERSION HERE
People, I want to discuss something with you. Instead of saying "it's a shame the video doesn't describe anything", "Another sensationalist headline by MSNBC", "no viable information", etc., please try googling the topic and see if there are any research papers or even a Wikipedia article about it.
This same video was posted in r/energy and r/technology some time ago and in both places I posted a PDF for all you naysayers.
For the lazy out there, the PDF says that this engine is very efficient for steady use, like a generator which charges a battery. It's not supposed to be used to power a car because it has no torque. It's not designed to produce a lot of torque, it only has to be highly efficient at one speed. Think of it like a jet engine. They're very efficient at one speed, but when you need a lot of torque for takeoff then they're extremely inefficient.
Please, before you reply read the PDF (Google docs link, no downloading).
> A wave disk can be an effective compression device and in conjunction with the combustion chamber can form an efficient gas generator but a wave engine design on the basis of only unsteady processes cannot be an efficient device. In specific wave-disk geometry, torque generation is possible, but it is not as effective as in the case of steady-state machines.
tl;dr - It's supposed to be used in hybrid cars as a generator. Learn to google.
I made an updated version that is better for updating and has US tax brackets included:
I managed to play the game at Dreamhack last month. Frostbite 2 engine is simply amazing. Shell casing, spent rounds and ricochets were all amazing.
Gunplay is a lot "beefier" in which i mean there is actual kick to a weapon. Its rather hard to snipe someone across map with a SMG now. And it is nigh on difficult to kill someone with a LMG if you havn't got it deployed or you are Crouched/Prone.
It is amazing, and without doubt the best BF title i have ever played.
EDIT: Btw, if anyone wants to read the 3 Page in-depth review/experience of Bf3 at DH go here if you wish.
I made this myself, here is the google doc with the data. 2011 is the projected value for 16 weeks.
One mistake I made is I didn't prorate the games from 1977 and before to account for the fact that they only had 14 games, so those numbers (rushing and passing) should be 14 percent higher.
As you can see, the rule changes in 1978 had by far the biggest effect on the league. In 1977 the league rushed for more yards than it passed, and teams were averaging only 141 passing yards per game, with defensive teams like Pittsburgh dominating. By 1980 it was passing for 50% more yards than rushing and averaging 195 passing yards per game, with teams like the 49ers taking over.
The two major changes were illegal contact, which we are all very familiar with, but perhaps more importantly, changing how offensive lineman were allowed to block, allowing them to use the palms of their hands and extend their arms.

Looking at some of the formation models for the solar system are pretty instructive. I know AskScience hate speculative stuff, but what about papers that run speculative models? These suggest that small changes in the eccentricity of Jupiter would result in significant changes in the rate at which comets are fed into the inner solar system in the early history of the planet, and that a direct result of that is that changing Jupiter's eccentricity can turn Earth into a desert planet or a water world. How on the knife-edge were we, if this is true?

This is what I used with my family; it was written roughly 5 or 6 years ago, so pretty much when I was a teenager, so there's a pretty distinct lack of business terms. I tried to cover all the bases I could with this one, since getting blackmailed to do things horrified me. The demands for money were just to scare them, keep them from lying to me, since the first time I did computer fixing for my family I was blamed for the problems that started to plague my parents' computer a while after I fixed it (that's also where that third question comes from, since my parents seem to have a god-given ability to find viruses not even on porn sites).
I don't do assistance for anything from Apple, though. I'm not proficient enough with OSX to do anything with it, or know how it works. Probably better off going to the Apple store for that.
Just to point this out: somethingawful.com is SOPA supporter.
Edit:I have investigated the issue. The reason I was saying it, because my plugin was showing a notification. It seems it is triggered by the "nodakpharmacy.net". I have no idea where exactly in the site it is being loaded (advertisement?), and it is strange to be loaded at all, but this is as far as I can dig in.

For all those wondering: here's a report on it.

For those who aren't aware, Tarn and Zach are those who run this project. Zach is paid for his contributions, but mostly works another job. Tarn is funded solely by donations -- of which Zach's pay, rent, food, etc. are real expenses.
Tarn isn't getting rich from donations. Here's the donations (yes, I track this meticulously) since 2007: Google Docs Spreadsheet
This is certainly a better than average year (on track for $40,000), and Tarn is doing what he loves, but the reality certainly remains that he could make a lot more money doing something else.
Now, I'm not just saying and not doing. Here's what I've donated in the past 12 months.
I agree with the poster: let's make December menace with spikes of dollars. There's 8557 subscribers to this subreddit, so why not make a goal for the DF subreddit to donate $8557 this holiday season? I'm going to kick it off with an ad-hoc $100 donation, right now. UPDATE: Done
Actually it isn't as gold efficient as people think. It's above average for gold efficiency, but nowhere near the top (at least if you only consider the benefit to the holder and not the benefits to the team). You can see how it compares to other items in terms of efficiency on this spreadsheet (just switch to the "Data" tab).
It is however one of only two items in the game that give you both armor and MR (the other being guardian angel), which means if you want to get a single item early to go against a fairly balanced team in terms of damage types it is a good bet.

Bubbles get you drunker faster. The carbonation forces your pyloric valve open faster so the alcohol enters your blood stream more quickly.... so if you're used to drinking beer and you start drinking liquor it may take longer to feel the effects, thus getting you more hammered in the long run. Same deal with Champagne vs. Wine

What sorts of things are you looking for from Access and Filemaker?
"abortion solves nothing", really pope, really?
And just where do you get that from, god? Did the big man in the sky tell you that? Because I don't think his information comes from experts who actually study the issue.
Because they have long concluded ".. that legalized abortion is a primary explanation for the large drops in murder, property crime, and violent crime that our nation has experienced over the last decade. Indeed, legalized abortion may account for as much as one-half of the overall crime reduction".
But facts aside, if you take a logical and moral approach it's not hard to realize that forcing people into difficult long term situations that they, and perhaps their families, aren't ready for, will never yield the most positive result. Morally speaking it's abhorrent to put the rights of a non-sentient blastocyst ahead of a woman. Especially as it's counter productive to a healthy society, life is hard enough without being forced into it.
It was great until the devs decided to make upgrades and weapons completely unobtainable by anyone but the money and/or time rich.
The average match gives you between 300-1000XP for free2play users, or 1000-3000 with boost (which costs about $15/mo). It takes 4 million XP to unlock everything. Alternatively, you can purchase the weapons directly, which costs 16,000 gold (~$150USD) for everything, plus you have to earn another 1 million XP for weapon and armour upgrades on top of that. (source for figures)
It feels completely pointless playing anymore, because it never feels like you're actually achieving anything.
EDIT: Downvoted for pointing out facts everyone wishes weren't true. Classy.
You can download the latest draft for free (got accepted without any modifications), at least that's what Slashdot said.
Here's one, but this video is more helpful.
Basically there's not precisely a law to cite with you asking if you're free to go, but longstanding legal precedents. Basically, in order to legally detain you, they need reasonable suspicion that you're engaged in a criminal activity, otherwise you're free to go. It's not precisely that simple, but the question is.
If you ask, "Am I free to go?" and they say yes, you don't have to continue your encounter with them anymore. If they say no, then they are detaining you for questioning or for some other reason, at which point that video above becomes even more useful.
It is perfectly fine in moderation. Add a lot of veggies in and its a pretty complete meal.

Let me know if anything in that spreadsheet looks wrong, but if my formulas are right, you and your grandchildren should really prefer taking that $400/wk. That "amount spent" is just how much of the 20k you're spending... Make it whatever you want (between 0-20k, anyway). I picked 3%, 4%, and $10,000 somewhat randomly, but happily, it works out to you having almost no money left when you're planning on dying.

From the article:
>Rolling Stone: How did you get the name Darth Vader?
>George Lucas: "Darth" is a variation of dark. And "Vader" is a variation of father. So it's basically Dark Father. All the names have history, but sometimes I make mistakes — Luke was originally going to be called Luke Starkiller, but then I realized that wasn't appropriate for the character. It was appropriate for Anakin, but not his son. I said, "Wait, we can't weigh this down too much — he's the one that redeems him."
Lucas didn't intend to use the Dutch word for "father," it was just coincidence. Also, the word "Darth" doesn't mean "dark" in Dutch, but it is meant to invoke the idea of darkness. Also, I think Dutch speakers pronounce "Vader" differently than VAY-DURR right?
Media and Politics. Instead of a final, we had a 10 page (single spaced) paper of ~10 different essays, and a 10 page (double spaced) essay due. I put in more work than i'd put in for any of my other classes, combined, over the entire quarter just on those two papers (got a B+ too). The workload for the quarter was relatively simillar.
Anyways, the class completely opened my eyes about how pretty fucked up everything is (beyond a "Fox news is bad!" level. really getting into the details, why/how it works, etc.)
Worked our asses off in that class, but totally worth it.
Edit: Uploaded the papers to google docs due to popular demand. I warn you that I am not an amazing writer, and I'm sure there are plenty of gramatical errors (I'm terrible at proofreading). I'm proud of the papers though. Also, watch the movies "Wag the Dog" (Just think to your self, "Would this really be possible?
) and "Out Foxed". I'd watch Wag the Dog first.

To gather the data I measured the temp of the water in 4 situations over the first minute in the mug. The situations were:
Conclusion: The hottest water came from a stove kettle, and a heated mug. Close behind it was the electric kettle and the heated mug. Well below these two were the trials with the cold mug.
TL; DR You should always throw a splash of boiling water in the mug before adding the tea leaves/tea bag. Swirl it around to heat the mug, then pour it out, add the tea, and pour into the mug from a full boil.

Magnet schools I haven't heard of before (I'm Canadian), but I don't think they're relevant to this discussion. The problem with mathematics education is systemic. Many parents, elementary school teachers, and non-"technical" (science/computers/math/etc.) high school teachers have negative attitudes towards math and are often lacking in basic numeracy skills.
Students are very quick to pick up on adults' discomfort, and many adults broadcast their math phobia. Students going through a public school education may face all of the following:
... and many more.
This is a major, systemic problem in education in North America, and can't be solved with specialized programs.
I'll ask everyone to please read the section on security before commenting on the security implications of this proposal. After you have read it, feel free to complain to your heart's content.

Unfortunately I don't hold advanced degrees in physics, but I am a programmer, which I hope improves my chances of finding work. I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
Here is a breakdown of why a (large) set of people think that the ending was poorly written.
First, all of the endings are essentially the same. This is lazy, regardless of how you feel about the endings themselves. Even if the idea behind all of the endings are good in terms of writing, which has some significant backing, different colors a different ending does not make.
It nullifies any and all prior choices that you have made during the game. The entire series was based around how your choices have larger repercussions in the grand scheme of things, and that your choices were important. It is thematically different from every other aspect of the series. This is not helped by the first bullet point. Some people enjoyed the endings because of this. Flipping the player's expectations on their heads might be seen as a powerful deviation from the norm.
The entire ending turns the plot into swiss cheese and doesn't make any god damn sense.
My opinion? The developers used the ending to decide whether or not they wanted to sell, give away for free, or drop a DLC ending altogether based on the consumer reaction. They claim indoctrination if they decide to use the DLC, and if people like the game enough they sell it. If there is a large enough backlash the DLC is either free or dropped. Probably the latter.
Also, its a really good overall game. And I've seen endings done much more poorly than that.
You are a first time unusual unboxer and I assume new to this game (F2P) here is a hint of advice.
DO NOT SELL IT (Or at least not just yet)
All unusuals unboxed this hallowing will have these new effects, so the new effects will become increasingly rare after halloween mode ends. The Hermes is a new and popular hat for a popular class. I imagine your hat is extremely valuable.
Go to an unusual server when all this dies down, get that thing price checked by multiple people, and start selling on SourceOP. Do not set a buyout until you get an idea of what kind of offers to expect.
Since I assume you have somewhat low playtime and a newly unboxed unusuals, you may be added by "sharks." Sharks prey on new players who do not know the value of their rare items. Do not talk to one. For more information on sharks look here.
OPTION 2: Hold onto it because it's badass.
I have created a PDF version of this post complete with formatting and minor editing for spelling and grammar.
Download Here (Mediafire)
View online (scribd / google docs)
Since Google Docs already has the option of Download As -> XLS/PDF/HTML, all you have to do is change the ending of your URL from "output=html" to "output=pdf" or "output=xls".
Just because I take every conceivable opportunity to post it:
Publicly Editable CharDee MacDennis Rules & Challenges
Based on the results from the Who in the World is reddit survey I made a list of the usage per capita in all of the 192 independent countries in the UN + some other territories ( population data).
I put the list on a shared google doc spreadsheet here.
The top 15 of independent countries by users per capita:
Using this statistics and the StatPlanet program I created this map. The color groups are there to roughly represent the succession of penetration and indicate where there is any substantial reddit usage but there is no linear relationship between the color groups. The second one is approximately half of the first one, while the last one is just about 1% of the first one.
It looks like it's a rat-tailed maggot (page 9 of the pdf) which will turn into a hover-fly.
Here's the wiki page:
That is an inflation rate of only 4.3%, which is really, really good. (Ignore the title of the spreadsheet, I edited an old sheet for you.)
It was an OSHA requirement done-away-with in 1977.
See also, this. WTF?
I'm guessing this was originally in the wikipedia entry on toilet seats, and blog-spammers copy wikipedia for some reason (to get search result hits to get ad money?)
A spreadsheet is being updated here. Im not the one to create or update it.
The opening page is the current state and can be compared to pre-nerf page. Basically missions that created ~95 credits per minute are now creating 2 to 14 credits per minute. Massive nerf overall.
I have a feeling this article is mis-quoting the results of the study. I believe the statistic is that on average you become spatially disoriented within 178 seconds, that's a lot different than "life expectancy."
One of my flight instructors was a former 777 pilot and she said every single time she flew through clouds she became disoriented. It's natural, and you train for it. You focus on your instruments and disregard any conflicting sensation your brain is sending you.
I'm trying to say that to myself in Urdu and it doesn't make sense at all. I must be really out of touch with the way the new generation is cussing 0_0
The list in transliterated urdu
With gems like "dirty insect rotting in a dirty asshole" and "everyone's penis in your mother's vagina". Highly specific!
Other WTF items:
White monkey / black monkey
Carrom board (A popular game played in Pakistan)
When you were born, did you come out the back or front? (Whole phrase, as is)
Your balls are really nice
Small penis (interestingly, I haven't run across 'large penis')
Ghost of the vagina
I recently wrote an article to answer this very question, taking the reader from a brief history of the problem, through Turing Machines, time complexity, P & NP, some of the consequences of a proof and a brief overview of attempts at solving the problem.
I hope someone finds it informative (edit: ... and would appreciate feedback if anyone has any).
With this handy spread sheet!
Awesomely, we got the spreadsheet added to the side bar! You can view it and there is a big link at the top of it to submit any corrections, additional information, or new releases. It is now a collaborative effort between Beer Advocate and Reddit! Hope to see this list fill out even more. Also, feel free to add Breweries outside of the US, as some have suggested.
Ok, while I want to defend the "angry masses", this is pushing it way too far. After reading an amazing google doc analysis of the ending, there is more than enough proof to suggest some sort of sequel in the form of DLC. Whether or not that DLC costs nothing or $15 is another problem all by itself, but every sign seems to point towards a new ending.
Making your voice heard and articulating your points? That's fine by me. Starting polls on forums to show support for a new ending? Still good. Raising $50,000 for Child's Play in support of this idea? Excellent, and far more meaningful than any other strategy that's come from this.
But, filing an FTC complaint based on claims within the forums? That's too far, and really does cast a bad light on those of us who'd like to see some closure to this amazing series. Even though I'd like to see a new ending, I definitely agree that this sort of customer crosses over into "entitled".
By the way, here is the document I was talking about. Offers a very thorough analysis, and proves that this FTC complaint is both overreacting and preemptive. I was only linked to it by a friend, I take no credit to any observations made within.
The article says that they posted a 2.3B profit in 2008. And their earnings per share in 2008, per their web site and report was $4.47. Maybe someone with more financial knowledge can chime in.
EDIT: The gist of the OPs comment is still correct. In 2009 they paid $6.5 billion in taxes, $4.5B in 2010. They avoided paying around $600M in 2008.
Google doc of the errors in the book. SPOILER WARNING. But seriously. I made it two pages in and facedesk'd. I would consider giving yourself a concussion a bigger threat than reading the "spoilers," if you can call it that.
Absolutely! I didn't mean to say otherwise.
The next six to eight months are going to be glorious.
And for those wondering why this list doesn't include MMOs or RTS or console games, it's because it only covers action and FPS games for the PC.
Here's the first draft. I haven't revisited it since I wrote it all in one sitting. Now that I think about it, I really should go back to this...
Try and figure out which part of the story I wrote while tripping.
EDIT: I should add that this story is NOT the ten page stream of consciousness. It was adapted from that piece and this story only has about 1 page of that work in it. I'll post the actual 10 page stream in a bit.
EDIT #2: Here's the stream of consciousness piece. WARNING: it's just one big block of text.

>I'm annoyed at the ~~right-wingers~~ clearly unqualified parents of various political affiliations who educate their kids poorly and spoil things for the rest of us.
FTFY? Though as Table 9 of this study indicates, homeschooling parents (in the US) are statistically more likely to identify as Republican and/or conservative, so it stands to reason that there will be more "right-wingers" poorly educating their children than "left-wingers," though I'm sure there's no shortage of stupid coming from all camps.
>"We're not reforming the NHS because it's easy. Let alone popular. We're doing it because it is right and necessary. In fact, it is more than that. It is unavoidable and it is urgent."
Ahh, I suppose such logical deductions will be based upon vast amounts of solid, reliable, objective and statistically significant evidence that will be presented to the public for review any time now...
No? Oh of course, as simple minded, ordinary members of the public we simply need to sit back, relax and bask in the glory of our infallible leader. We only need to believe in his powers and have eternal faith in he who surely has our best interests at heart.
Radical re-organisation of the public's health service involving selling off huge sections for the highest bidder to make money from? Ignoring the small fact that, despite its own perfectly treatable afflictions, it continues to be rated as one of the most cost effective in the world? Looking the other way while the Secretary of State for Health accepts 'donations' from private healthcare providers, and is married to the managing director of a lobbying firm?
Fuck off Cameron, no really, just fuck off. You're as transparent as you are slimy and seeking to make money at the expense of the health, well being and happiness of the country is as low as it gets. I don't share your belief in Tory ideology just like I don't share your belief in god.
That doesn't necessarily mean they're not related. For example, there is some evidence for heightened sexual attraction under high anxiety.
Have any of you actually read what he wrote? I'm a lifelong gamer and while I don't necessarily agree that games motivated him, read what he wrote concerning Call of Duty:
>I just bought Modern Warfare 2, the game. It is probably the best military simulator out there and it’s one of the hottest games this year. I played MW1 as well but I didn’t really like it as I’m generally more the fantasy RPG kind of person – Dragon Age Origins etc .and not so much into first person shooters. I see MW2 more as a part of my training-simulation than anything else. I’ve still learned to love it though and especially the multiplayer part is amazing. You can more or less completely simulate actual operations.
I also disagree that COD is a 'military simulator' or that you can 'simulate actual operations,' but for gamers to deny that the guy loved shooting games and regarded them as training is willful blindness. We can't always just scream that videogames never influence anything, numerous times have I heard friends of mine compare shooting real guns to FPS games. There is definitely a component there that transfers over, but what I think the media overlooks is that sometimes dyed-in-the-wool sociopaths play videogames, it isn't that videogames necessarily create sociopaths.
Apparently PyPy's effort is based on newer research.
Kingdom heart is jrpg storytelling at its finest.

I really like this idea and went on ahead and created a public google docs page with a template to get it started. I have not added a recipe yet but I hope others will.

See, it IS cool that we had a vote of non-confidence, but it's a little shitty, too. If left-wing folk hadn't pushed the issue when the Cons were tabling their budget (oh yeah; in Canada, when we 'table an issue' we mean putting it on the table, as in 'let's discuss it now'), then the vote wouldn't have happened, and the Cons wouldn't have their majority (they had a minority previously) and the other parties, working together, could have stopped any particularly crazy bills from getting through. Unfortunately, we've now gotta deal with an 'omnibus crime bill' that will get through without any resistance possible. :/ This includes mandatory minimum sentencing for weed and spying on Canadian internet. :/
