Relay for reddit is the only app worth using IMO (and I've literally tried them all). The gesture navigation is so much better than other apps, and it has a great splitscreen tablet view to boot.
Nintendo 3DS emulator!
This is soo f*cking cool!
You can download the emulator from the Google PlayStore it's named "Citra":
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.citra.citra_emu
Galaxy Z Fold 2 - absolutely perfect device for this with its two screens.
Works flawless with constant 30fps.
I just took the screenshot with on screen buttons - connected my Stadia controller via USB C cable.
You need this
Then, there are a lot of packs for it in the play store you can download that come with different widgets. In this case OP is using a widget from the Timeless Kwgt pack which you can search for it on the play store.
Your next step would be pulling up a YouTube video on how too customize the widgets. You can virtually change size, colors and even make the widget open any application you want depending on where you click on it. On my widgets I always have it open things that make sense, for example touch clock opens my clock app, touching weather opens my weather app, etc. And I always have a some section on the widget that when I touch it opens reddit for fast access since it's what I use the most on my phone, super cool and one more reason why I love android.
awarded !!!!!! this is what i was looking for. found it on amazon in the US for those who want the kickstand:
No. The adhesive is what keeps it from damaging the phone. Without, the case slides ever-so-slightly and the dust that gets in there will scratch the bezel. Tape it down the spines and the sides. Buy this and reuse when cleaning the phone.

I have this one and I really like it. Convenient power bank that you can just take with you and drop it back in the slot when you get home.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.snowlife01.android.rotationcontrol
I've been using this app even prior to this phone to get apps to rotate for me. Or even, not rotate. You can set per app settings for rotation and it's pretty nice.
My Fold 1 replaced all my devices; PC, tablet, Kindle, phone etc. Didn’t miss any of them at all.
Since Corona and lot of home office work I got a PC (got it from work).
Fold together with DeX can truly replace a PC with most (basic) stuff. It can’t replace it entirely for everyone, but for some people.
I sold my Fold 1 for the Fold 2. Meanwhile I use a tab S5e from work, mainly just because it’s laying around there. I just use it to watch Anime & Series while I eat. I also use it for Yu-Gi-Oh!, the Neuron app is really an amazing tool, not just for LP in duels, you can also scan and manage your decks 😁
Here's the case database. Adding your suggestions as they come in. Will eventually build out similar databases for other accessories like grips, chargers, stands, car mounts, etc.
I personally think Taskbar does a really good job too. It also gives you a lot of options, you can open apps in popup mode directly and you have some quick settings toggles 😁
I ordered the Spigen for the pen (ships in October). I'm stuck with the Samsung case till then. But the OhSnap with car mount is what I use for wireless charging. My Fold 2 was too heavy to stay open on the car mount, but the Fold 3 stays open and straight just fine. I use this stand on the back. Doesn't add much bulk at all and still fits just fine in pocket.

Lemuroid best emulator, on android imo.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.swordfish.lemuroid
Get game packs, full collection off reputable sites. Ive got old school game on my fold 2. Thousands ahahah, paired with the game sir bluetooth. 🤣
Unless you absolutely want to have your front screen always visible, folio cases were pretty much made for the Fold, and they don't require tape. I use the Araree Bonnet.
I have that one and an Arteckone like this https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B015LSEQ28/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_XXZNSVVHTQD07GTP1KRA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The Arteck is way nicer to type on and feels a lot better quality, but has no track pad so you would need a mouse or just use the touch screen.
grab Nicelock from the Google play store for now, works for Multistar (I've not tried the other modules).
I wonder if extracting the APK from your Tab S7 is possible. I've used this app before to extract APK's from other apps.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ext.ui&hl=en_US&gl=US
Doesn't hurt to try right?
I bought this case here, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C3ZKJYQ/ . I got it to work but it only grabs the screen portion of the fold, it seems pretty secure, I haven't really driven around with it, but will drive a bit tomorrow and test it. Still looking for something a little bit better though.
Install Samsung app Sound Assistant, there you can set more volume steps, like 5 instead of 10, which is now granulary. Also you now can set 100 steps and even 255??? try it, i love it
I already owned the game , and the services starts at 9.99
I prefer shadow since it’s a full fledge pc, windows detect the aspect ratio of the fold display and renders the game on high resolution without cropping
The lag depends on your connection and your controller , my connection gives me a 12ms ping and the controller is usb c so no Bluetooth lag there
Anything “wired” like the Gamesir X2 or the razer Kishi should work out fine , but even playing on my chrome cast with an Xbox controller feels pretty native
There’s a shadow speed test you can try if you’re interested
A couple of extra notes:
shadows gives you access to the whole windows , so gray area stuff like emulator or games on unsupported services like epic games work here , which is why I prefer it over stadia
Ps4 and switch controller while supported natively on Android , have a build it input lag that affects services like this , is the reason why services like xcloud or stadia recommend official controllers , if you want to use a console game pad and a clip go for the Xbox one
You should check out Headunit Reloaded! It's a full Android Auto emulator. I've tested it out a bit on previous devices and it seems to work pretty well. It definitely feels better to use. I never liked the AA for phone screens app or the maps driving mode.

There is an app called Rotation Manager that will let you allow all apps to rotate.
You can change what each app does when rotated, or just all of them, up to you
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pranavpandey.rotation
I used this app, basically same thing but older/higher ratings https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.naing.vwallpaper
Also video instructions, including link if you want the W21 wallpapers. I'm hoping the W22 will have a nice live wallpaper too. https://youtu.be/P6S9hy2cDck
To do this go here and download the 4k version of the live wallpaper you want. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1bboTohF06r-fafrImTExAPqM9m6h2m2lgJyAkQuYVJI/htmlview
Then download the app Any video live wallpaper https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mclwp.anyvideolivewallpaper
Then open the app. Select your downloaded live wallpaper and voila!
Note: the hdr videos don't work for some reason. Just use the 4k links and those seem to work.
I got a cheap slim case on Amazon and works with wireless charging. I love it. No slippage no scratches... Perfect

Trust me and try „Niagara Launcher“. Once I used this I can’t go back to any other launcher 😱☺️
It always looks clean, on all screens, has built in notifications on your Home Screen, Widgets and much much more 😁
I went with the 2021 “new” version because it has a proper D-Pad. And I like minimal latency, so no Bluetooth is actually better for me.

Very nice, thanks for sharing 😁👍🏼
What did you do one hour on your launcher? Organizing the homescreen and its layout etc.? 🤔
Why do you use 2 different browser and what for?
Is tidal worth the hype?
Did you try other Reddit clients, for example Relay for reddit ?
Unfortunately this is the problem with Chinese chargers. They can say a lot, and not be held accountable.
My guess is that it's not downthrottling properly.
Here's what I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2NN8L3V
Legal: It's Chinese stuff, you shouldn't leave it alone - or frankly use it - in your car without comprehensive insurance - if it burns down your car, don't blame and/or sue me.
Exact product i used is below, there was not a shatter risk for the protector. Biggest risk for my install was having the the screen protector stick to its "sheet". Hard to descibe until you review the process. I believe the same happens in the video, I'll post as the next comment.

You will also need a good cig 12v plug that supports fast charging.
Looks sick! Added it to the Case Master Database. https://www.notion.so/madebyafterhours/748310df1ef34c62b58f087968c0860d?v=f4f78bbe85ee4734b02ef9d74f5bf308
It's called Energy Ring. I've been using since Samsung started with the hole punch displays and now i cant live without it. It only works on the outside cover but I've never found it to be an issue.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=you.in.spark.energy.ring.gen
You are in for a treat! Especially as Samsung is the first to roll this out. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sync-across-your-devices - been using it on my Asus and Fold 2 and it is very impressive. A few quirks to iron out, but the potential is there.
The specific string has changed for me with each major software version, and may differ per device (i.e. Fold/Fold2/Fold3/Flip/etc).
So you'll have to use the logcat search/record function when creating a new profile in tasker, then close and open the device. The have a search though the recorded logs for something that fits the bill. Might need to set tasker to continue on the front screen to get a full log, don't recall.
As for keyboard layouts, it'll be easiest to install the SwiftKey beta (or some other keyboard) alongside regular SwiftKey and switch between them via tasker.
Board games are great at utilizing the main screen e.g. Talisman / Through the Ages
Download Samsung Band Selection from the play store. It will allow you to select LTE ALL from the options, which turns off 5g.
It's the cloud3squared Meteogram Weather Widget, which is bonkers customizable.
Mine shows temperature, felt temperature, daily minima/maxima, rain, cloudiness, and sunrise/sunset, using a custom time scale so that the next hours take more space than the same interval tomorrow. But I don't use 90% of the features.
Mullvad is the best in terms of privacy and price in my opinion. They are very serious about their users privacy and don't keep any logs whatsoever of your activity. The speed is great as well. You can also pay with crypto if you want to be completely anonymous. I've use Nord, Pia, proton, etc., and I find mullvad to be the best. Proton would be my second pick. Stay away from Nord.
If you have a pc with an nvidia graphics card, you can use Moonlight to stream games: Moonlight
I've used this for a long time on multiple platforms, even over the internet in different countries, with almost no latency.
Https://Obsidian.md to find out more. By the way, you don't need to use the paid sync option if you're using something like Syncthing to sync your folders. There is a slight learning curve to getting everything set up, so those who want an easier route I suggest Google Drive.
Thank you! I never used an app like that but there's options on Play Store like How to Draw. But I don't know how they teach or if the lessons are good.
The Remote Play app only supports the DualShock 4 or DualSense controllers natively. However, with a bit of setup you can use PSPlay, a third party app that does remote play and allows you to map other controllers and the touchscreen to PlayStation controls. It isn't free, but it works really well.
Idk if there are better apps, but I use Business calendar and Todoist, both amazing apps and have some tablet UI 😁 I also set a pair in edge panel to open them together 😁
I'm using something neat for widgets. Popup Widget. It creates a shortcut that pops up a widget or collection of widgets. I bought it many many years ago, probably my Nexus days. But it's working great for me with Niagara on the Fold.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ss.popupWidget
Maybe not as nice as having multiple widgets always showing, but I'm starting to like it. I do wish Niagara would have more widget layout options though.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=psplay.grill.com
I use this app instead. Works just as well in my experience and you can use any controller you want without having to map anything.
I launched the X2 in xinput mode and had no issues using it.
Weird, mines directly from the playstore.

Don't even worry too much about the low reviews. It's from people who didn't follow directions and know how to set up the controller...

You can actually download Taskbar from the playstore while you wait for the update. Wallpaper Changer if you want to use your own images
Medibang is a great drawing software but if you're a fan of procreate I would check out Huion Sketch. Recently discovered it and I'm in love. As an Android user who desperately wants procreate it's the best substitute I've found so far.
You can use wallpaper changer to sync both screens. You have to set it on cover screen and main screen. After that you can chose a folder will wallpapers and it’ll set it everywhere. You can make it change the wallpaper every time you unlock or double tap the screen or with a quick settings toggle 😁
You mean something like this? Honestly I should probably be using one of these anyways given how much I've screwed up my current phone with all the time it's spent with me in the shop lol
Considering something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MLVVZQ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_CTYJB15NC2BXE8PTFB5Q?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Mostly just concerned about damaging the tip, so even if I'm not attaching it to the phone, it would be nice to make sure it's protected
I use one of these: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08S48M82K/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_GG6HM4VYWCFND6FRHE0T
Works well, though initially I wasn't getting fast charging with it (had to swap cables). There are a bunch of variants from different Chinese manufacturers, but they all seem to be the same. All look exactly like this though.
Inner screen no, I replaced it with the Orzero screen protectors everyone on this sub raves about as soon as I got the bubbles at the top and bottom of the fold which inevitably happens to everyone. I'm glad I did too, much less tacky than the OG protector. I have heard that newer folds have a different material on the stock screen protector though so who knows. I think the original protector lasted like two months for me, then I jumped ship. Link below to the protectors.

I know for a fact youll love the fold 3. It changes everything from a usability stand point. I have multiple tablets laying around since even though its smaller it ls just so much more convenient to always have one on you. Fwiw, i bought a friction hinge kickstand and it is the perfect accessory for this.
I had the Spigen Tough Armor case for while, I like it quite a bit.
Lately I'm using the araree clear case for the front and that carbon fiber folio case on the back (its not this one but something similar).
I love this stand, goes great with my vent car magnet. Simple, easy and functional. Plus doesn't break the bank. At 8 or 9$
No issues with the magnet . Does interfere with wireless charging but I can always remove my case if I need to.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08K9CFQGR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_06P8982RTWVR4WJ1FM79
This has saved my phone a handful of times so far, one from a drop off my shower standing ledge (about 5 feet off the ground) that fell onto tile.
Up to you, I love the clean look honestly. But then again I love having my phone not cracked, the 1 time I ran downstairs with an older note 2 or 3 it fell out of my pocket and onto the ground. It's still to this day the only phone I've ever owned with a cracked screen.
I started buying phones at 17 and I'm 33 now. I'm saving my phone screen replacement for a really good reason. Need to return this baby in <20 months 😋
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08K9CFQGR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_TPZ8F8X6TS5M080RDN6A
Plus
I use a magnetic phone mount in my car so it works seamlessly opened or closed.
It’s this one. Sometimes in games it feels like the sticks movement isnt that great, but it was the best controller i found for the phone.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H3W4XZR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As a runner, I tried arm bands and I'm telling you this phone is too heavy and bulky to keep in your arms like that.
I've been using this one recently, a slim phone backpack. Very easy to slip the phone in and out of the pocket: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FMWAGMC/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_fabc_EDJ82D4KWEJ2JSKV8WZB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I also run with my Galaxy Watch3 which is honestly a more practical approach than continuing to use your Z Fold 2.
Alternatively, I used this belt strap as well prior to the backpack, but the backpack is much easier since this phone is heavy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019BQNTL0/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_fabc_V3APNCRZ5A9KJKQDNT5K
Just include this in the box?
I'm rocking a wallet type case, the Araree. It's the best compromise. There's protection for the front, sides and back without adding too much bulk.
My previous oem Aramid is nice but only protects the back from scratches, that's it. And the Ringke slim didn't last 1 hour for me as the front case mount is a joke.
The 3 N10+ in the family has gone through 2 screen replacements in the last year at the cost of about $300 each. Depending on the type of floor and how it hits it, the damage to the ZF2 would be worse and range from nothing to cracked screen, broken hinge and scratched or knocked up edges.
Moreover, having a case makes the phone so less slippery. Especially with the ZF2 and the opening, closing and additional width when open, it's a sure disaster for me and the stone, tile and wood floors of my house.
I'll be using my Araree until a better one comes along that has an opening in the front so I can see the time, AOD e.g. comes along. Check it out:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DDCWD2W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If you want something super sturdy, this is what you want. Made for extreme environments like trucks, boats and planes. Just got mine and really like it. You get what you pay for. Can't believe people rely on $9.99 vent mounts for a 2k phone that could easily break if it falls from the mount at a high speed but to each their own.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B4IXTMI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_vGF.FbCXZG7K2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
have this case it protects the hinge however it does not have a stand u ccan always ad a opsock or a phone ring its a heavy duty case one of the reason i chose it I have heard VRS has some with a stand but the quality of the case is not good https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089ZZ3PX7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Ubiquity Music Widget is a universal music widget that I've used for years. It mostly works, the only issue I've had is sometimes the widget becomes unresponsive. I've only tried one other universal widget and it also had the same issue.
So yesterday I made a post about not having dex mode on the Fold 2. So today I started searching and looking around. Tried some stuff. And to my surprise there was an app who mimics Dex mode. It works and feels the same, sometimes like the app drawer even better!

>For cases what would you guys recommend? I usually get a Spigen case mainly because they are pretty good in price and have a kickstand which disappoints me to see they don't have that with their case for the fold.
IIRC, Spigen makes a "stick-on" kickstand, but there are other aftermarket cases that come with kickstands. Others in this sub can probably provide references.
>So any kind of help would be great and I am looking forward to this great journey of a foldable phone.
From personal experience, I recommend getting a finger ring or pop socket to stick onto the back of the phone/rear case. It helps with opening the fold with one hand (which is both convenient AND a great ice breaker/conversation starter 👍 ). I'm using an iRing, which doubles as a kickstand in landscape mode.

This will prevent it from falling out if you tip the controller upsidedown.
I bought both from Amazon US
Orzero : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HJX76RK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_e3TSFbNA918TB
Gobuckee : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KRXVXFT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_n4TSFb91YG3DC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I can't speak for how gobuckee screen feels on the inside yet but Orzero feels like glass

I got mine on ebay, but Amazon has them now also
I've been really enjoying this one.. lots of wallpapers to choose from and the effects are awesome! Also I haven't noticed any battery drain from it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vinwap.parallaxpro

same thing minus the fancy "shocksock" label. exact same thing. ive been using it since day one sans case. so an option maybe for those who cant get the fancy shocksock one?
I recommend the 'glap Play p/1' and it's basically the cream of the crop. It's worth every penny of the high price tag. It feels and operates like a premium product.
