Look at Messis 2nd goal, Neymar was one step ahead of Messi but Neymar didnt even extend his leg to score, he let Messi score. I think that is why Messi gave Neymar the pen. https://streamable.com/zo3s
Great game, could have easily been 10 or 12 goals. At the end of the day im glad we got another 3pts on the board.

Frustrating, clueless and wasteful. The equivalent of Messi winning the World Cup with the current state of this Argentina national team would be like winning the Champions League with Getafe or Osasuna.
Their whole game plan is to pass the ball to Messi and expect him to create a chance. And so he does, about a dozen times per game, only to see his teammates waste them all.
EDIT: Because people are inevitably going to ask, in order for Argentina to even reach the play-offs they need Chile, Colombia, Peru (and possibly Paraguay) to drop points.
Current table with only 1 round to play: http://www.livescore.com/worldcup/conmebol-qualification/
Remaining matches:
So either Peru or Colombia are going to drop points so that's good. In other words, Argentina still holds their the faith in their own hands (if they win). They can even end up 3rd if Chile loses away to Brazil.
If Argentina wins their last game they end up in the play-offs at the very least.
If Colombia beats Peru, then even a draw would be enough, but only if Paraguay fails to win against Venezuela.
https://streamable.com/vykb Suárez and his goal against Real Madrid, never have I seen so much passion in a celebration, Suárez is more hype than anyone. Edit: bonus Ray Hudson commentary http://youtu.be/EULgESKPKqM
No, actually, it is not like the English word "new" but more like "no" with a hint of a "u" sound on the end. It is very hard to explain, I am from Madrid but I have friends from Barcelona and I've heard them say it like this, and the Spanish commentators say it as well. Because I can't really explain it, here is a link of two men from Spain pronouncing it. One of them is from near Barcelona and I believe it is is the first link, he does a good job of enunciating.
It’s a 47 goal difference in official competitions, which is roughly 2 seasons worth of goals that Eto’o is behind on (130 goals total over 5 seasons yields 26 goals per season, 47/26=~1.8 seasons). If you give Suárez the extra two seasons that Eto'o would need to make up for this gap, according to his goal per game ratio, he would extend the lead to a 65 goal difference, but keep in mind that this does NOT factor in his exponential decline, and rather his linear average, while the same standard is kept for Eto'o.

In addition, while they have currently played the same number of seasons, Suárez has maintained a higher goal contribution per game ratio (1.104 compared to Eto’o’s 0.85).

Suárez has definitely declined, but he has always statistically contributed more than Eto'o, and it's not close.

For further proof, see the graph below which illustrates Suárez's (depicted in red) goal contribution per game over seasons 1 (2014/15), 2 (2015/16), and so on all the way to 5 (2018/19). It also shows the same information for Eto'o, of course with season 1 being 2005/05, and season 5 being 2008/09. Both are accompanied by a line depicting their average goal contribution per game.

Whoa! There's rumor that Messi's gf Anto & Iniesta's wife Anna is Pregnant. Now Bartra confirms Melissa is Pregnant
Few days ago, Shakira had a baby. It seems that for last few years, Barca is having a lot of babies!
Going to take a stab at this since I am studying for my accounting designation and just took a quick look at the 2015 financials. Obviously a lot could have changed since these were released but I can highlight a few things.
Also this financial report didn't have a cash flow statement which will be more helpful with the analysis.
I can highlight a few points.
Also take this lightly but 1) there were no cash flow statements so I couldn't analyze 2) I didn't look at any other football team financials, maybe the high debt thing is completely normal. You can only compare within industries. 3) If someone else wants to analyze this, the annual reports are here
Hey guys! I am the owner of /r/FCBswap this is a subreddit dedicated to swapping, sharing, and selling your FCB jerseys and other merchandise. I made a post in the past and grew the sub, but it’s currently dead. I would really like to grow it again with the addition of a new instagram account.
Please let me know what you guys think in this poll:
Dembele has been fined by Xavi for reporting 3 minutes late to Barcelona training.
> One of Xavi's rules is that players must arrive at the training ground 90 minutes before each session starts. Dembele, who has struggled with his timekeeping in the past, failed to do this on Friday morning. The session started at 10:00am and the Frenchman did not clock in until 8:33am, making him three minutes late. As punishment for his tardiness, Dembele was hit with a fine. Xavi does not just expect his players to arrive on time either; he has similar standards for his coaching staff. His backroom team are all instructed to arrive two hours before each session starts so they can conduct individual talks with players before the group training begins.
I love Pedro, he grew up in the pueblo next to where my wife's parents live in Tenerife, such a humble hard working guy.
I am also the person who invented the "Pedro!" nickname back in 2009.
IF Arthur met our expectations, then a midfield of Rakitic-Busqi-Arthur can be so deadly. It might be a little defensive, but we can control any game with that midfield. And with Messi/SuarezORDembele/Coutinho upfront, we are set.
But again, how Valverde uses Coutinho in next season will determine if our marquee signing is a midfielder or forwarder. In other words, Hazard or Eriksen.
Temperatures in Spain often get out of control in August so they probably had that in mind.
If you look at the schedules for this round, the majority of the games are being played evening time so it could very well be related to what I said.
The game being played on a Saturday night could also explain the late hour but while this is a bit unusual, it's also not a precedent - I remember some Supercup games in the past starting as late as 10:30-11pm local time.
Have you tried
It's free if you have a German IP (so get it via Zenmate), and it shows it in HD, with around 0 lag.
It's technically an official stream too, so you won't have the typical bullshit that comes with all those shady ass rojadirecta streams
Shouldn't use Hola btw, it's not safe. However I see that Zenmate put UK on their premium :\ pity. So you should delete Hola right after watching the final to be safe.
If you have a smartphone, download the app fotmob, it has amazing audio streams in 4 or 5 languages. The link for Android is below:

I've had this for 2 years. 10 bucks a month, I get every Barcelona league game on Bein Sports (plus for some reason an inordinate amount of Bilbao games on Bein Sports Espanol, which is awesome). I cancel in May and restart in August. Usually has Ray Hudson and Phil Schoen commentating on Barcelona games.
17 out of 20 trophies by these 2 i read on twitter in recent years.
I think in terms of titles, players like Pele, Beckenbauer, Cafu, Giggs are ahead, not certain on order and specific number, according to this rough data, its Pele with 32.
This topic needs proper wiki page for better organization and better factual clarity.
There was once a slide share posted in this sub regarding player roles within the Barca system. Sort of a coaching doc. Anybody have any idea where I can find it?
Edit: using the search function helps found

Statistically, that's a complete lie. De Jong created 9 big chances while Pedri created only 5. Also to be considered that De Jong had to play as a sweeper as well at times.

You can use something like r/blokada for free or a good VPN with adblocker built in. Some browsers come in with adblockers built in. Not sure about iPhone but Bromite on Android has built in adblocker.
I rarely see any ads or pop ups at all on my phone anymore after a few tweaks and some of them also block trackers, if you care about that.
>Respeto a los homosexuales, pero no quiero a esa gente en el vestuario. No me marcharia de un equipo por eso, porque respeto igual a un homosexual que a un negro, un gordo, o un enano, pero de ser posible prefiero no tener a gays en mi vida.
Anyone who doesn't have a stream, if you okay with Arabic commentary, go to Kora-star.tv if it doesn't work download a VPN and try changing location If not go to sonyliv.com download a VPN and change location to India
Here's a VPN for Android users
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=free.vpn.unblock.proxy.vpn.master.pro
this is where most games are streamed, you can access it by using a VPN like Zenmate (costs, but brilliant) or Hola (free, but you will probably get a v poor stream) and changing your location to Spain.
Maybe in three years.
In fact here's how I see our starting XI three years from now
-----------------Valdés----------------
big name singing/Bartra---Piqué------------Fontàs-----Muniesa
--------------Busquets---------------
-------Iniesta-------------Thiago/Fabregas-------
Pedro---------Messi---------Afellay
Subs: Xavi, Miño (GK), JDS (MF), Romeu (DM), Sergi Roberto (MF), Deulofeu (F), Rochina (F), Victor Vazquez (F) Gomez (CB).
>You bring up a really solid point. Tito wanted really strong width so the RW and LW formations are what he went for, namely the 4-3-3. To get better at pressing and getting the ball back, it's better if you're all close together in packs of 2-3 so you can pressure together.
This is not completely true. Guardiola emphasized a lot on width and the pressing game was insane back then. It's all about transitioning from width in possession to narrowing the pitch down when losing the ball.
You can see it already in the first few seconds of this video

Much of this article is either patchwritten or plagiarized. The entire first section of the article is patchwritten without attribution from this book. The author quotes text from the book at times, but at other times text is used from the book without attribution. I imagine the same is true of the autobiography that the author quotes from.
It's a shame that SBNation published this, when some of their other Barca content is so well done and original.

We are making more money. Revenues increased 14% from prior year (also we won the treble) but expenses increased by 23% so our net profit (what we take home after paying the bills) is $15 million compared to last year which was $43 million. But we just aren't handling our cash, assets, and debt effectively.

Yea I know crazy right ? But you have to call or email them they dont really advertise it or let you access it on the site. But yea it works thats all.
You have to call and talk to somebody. When my original subscription ran out last year I had to sign up again and could not find the package I had anywhere. I called and they set me up with no problem.

I just realised that Stoichkov's autobiography is translated to English. Here is the link. I think it's a brilliant read for all Culers.
You have no idea how much I disagree with that video lmao (my username might give a hint).
The US closed shop system is anything but socialist in nature. The points he makes is from the assumption that capitalism or some ideal capitalism leads to unbridled dog eats dog world type of competition while historically capitalism has always led to monopoly of the big companies. NBA's closed system is just that. The ESL is just that monopolistic power of the big clubs manifesting and killing the much more democratic domestic leagues. For example, I'd refer you to Simon Critchley's first chapter of his book What We Think about When We Think about Football where he explains the socialist nature of football (clubs, supporters, team organizations) compared to Basketball, Cricket, Baseball etc.
I disagree completely with the premise of that video but I understand what he's trying to explain. I just think the whole explanation is standing upside down and it's the complete opposite.
For people in India, who can't access a TV, is a good source.
1000 Rs ( approx 17 $ ) for a full season pass for La Liga, EPL and Serie A.
I don't know if this is available in other countries, but you could always use a Proxy extension ( like Zenmate (free) or (paid)) to access this.
Here are the user's dailymotion and metacafe accounts. Not as much content there, but I'm guessing that's where they'll post stuff if Youtube bans them.
Something like this?
If so, it's just this and nothing else?

You said "This would be possible if the data showed every single match day ever in La Liga." so that's what I did. Of course this is just for a single season but can easily be done for the rest.
Let's say next year at the WC France will play Japan or China. Do you think Griezmann would stop playing if he and Dembele got a little too cocky on the pitch?
Griezmann: Stopping matches for homophobia, racism 'very good'
I have Sling. It’ll typically cost you $25 a month for the regular channels with Sling Blue and Orange (some channels appear just for Sling Orange) and with the Sports package that includes BeIN Sports, it’ll cost you an extra $10 a month so all together it’ll be $35 a month. Sling also has international channels too.
You can find more here
You can get BeIN sports (and a few other international sport channels) as a standalone Sling package for $60 a year. https://www.sling.com/international/international-sports#dyn-grid-plan-tab-2-s-2
Sling TV Latino is just the name of the package. The base package (Best of Spanish) includes the channels beIN Sports (English commentary) and beIN Sports en Español (Spanish commentary) so you can watch whichever.

Personally I use Zenmate which is pretty much same thing
BBC streams all the games free live on their website. Problem is, you have to be in the UK to get access. Solution: download a VPN (Private Internet Access, for example, or another one that gives you the option of which server to use). Switch your location settings to use a UK server and voila, you're now an English user in the eyes of BBC. Bonus: no more letters from Comcast for pirating Game of Thrones.

That recent book by Simon Kuper has a wonderful description of how outmatched Bartomeu was in his job. Kuper really knows the structure of the big teams in Europe and he was astonished by how naive and out-to-school the Barca board was.
This book may be helpful. There’s a good bit devoted to Pep and his rise to leading Barca. But most were supportive, even though he was young with little experience.

Ironically, one of the most famous book on what it is to follow Burnley as a fan is called "It's Burnley, not Barcelona". (Also it's been published in 02/03, not the greatest Barca season)

This TripAdvisor article gives a very good guideline to buying tickets, it's worth a read.
But in a tl;dr version, since it's a small game (not vs Madrid or Atletico, for example), you'll very likely get free tickets near each other, as many season ticket holders will put their seats for sale. So you can wait until a few days before to buy it.
(Disclaimer: I have never been to a Barça game before, and, such as yourself, I'll only do so when I visit Barcelona next January. So I'm no expert, but from what I've read most people agree with what I just told you)
Edit: An excerpt from the article that sums it up: "Seat holders whose seats are sold receive 50% of the purchase price, which motivates the them to release their seats if they do not attend. Most seat holders start releasing their seats 10-14 days before the match, most do it in the last few days, up to 72 hours before the match (if they release the tickets less than 72 hours before the match the money for the sale can only be used to cover their annual membership fee. An earlier release ensures that the payment is transfer to their bank account)"
Spotify has about 32% of the market, Apple 16, and Amazon 13
Amazon and Tidal pay better, but it's probably not enough to make a difference unless you're getting hundreds of thousands of streams. According to this, you get $400 from Spotify for 100,000 streams, $500 from Apple, and $1200 from tidal.

Personal ratings don’t really mean anything.
FotMob gave Abde a 7.7 and Dembele a 8.4 which got bumped because of the assist from a corner. Dembele did create more chances but overall their stats are the overall the same.

This was only against Sevilla.
The fact that a Barca B kid is keeping up with Dembele says more about Dembele.
And it is not just the field. They have the crest on rugs at the entrance to offices and training facilities.
If the crest shouldn't be stepped on, stop putting it on the damn ground in the middle of walk ways.
They even sell rugs of the crest on Amazon.

Not certain, but heres the link to the package im currently using. https://www.sling.com/international/international-sports
Only shit thing is the La Liga TV channel has a tendency to go crazy every few weeks. To the point where its not watchable because the image and audio cut in and out. It hasnt done so for a a couple months which has been nice, but its a known issue with Sling and a few channels actually, but they dont do anything to fix it permanently (although they may have now lol)
And be wary, as the channel only shows La Liga TV in 4 hour segments on the guide. So you cant set it to record a specific game if you wish. You have to record La Liga TV at the time the game is, and often you have to record 2 blocks of the show to catch the full game. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of.
If you only want to watch La Liga, Sling's international sports package is $60 a year and gives you Bein. Tbh, quality is not as consistent as ESPN plus or Peacock, but it's generally fine.

Garcia was atrocious and tbh Araujo continues to not do enough in build up. We can blame the fullbacks all we want but central defense has been an issue on this squad for 5 seasons. That combined with a really poor performance from Pedri meant we never controlled the game the way we need to.
Stats are not everything, especially when taken out of context. Griezmann has the second most chances created for Barca.
https://www.fotmob.com/leagues/87/stats/season/15585/players/big_chance_created/laliga
That's the format that makes most sense to me. Like if someone asked me about our last 5 matches I'd probably start with the most recent one. It's also marked in bold for better visibility, not sure if you noticed.
Sites like soccerway use left to right, others like fotmob use right to left so it's not an exact standard.
