I use NordVPN and server 1821 gets around regional blackouts (except perhaps Miami area). It doesn’t show nationally televised games. I have just given up trying to fight these companies. I listen to the playoff games with then kick up a stream here in the most intense moments. I don’t pay for since I have T-Mobile, otherwise I’d probably be more frustrated about it.
I use NordVPN and I'm pretty happy with it. I bought it around January and at the time did research and I IIRC the most highly rated from sites like PC Mag and Tech Radar were Private Internet Access, Express VPN, and NordVPN. I chose NordVPN because it was highly rated for use with Netflix, and also it's the cheapest, you can get 3 years for $33 a year.
I have used and to watch local market "blacked out" games on my Roku.
You subscribe to one service and then go into your router to open some ports. There are instructions on what to do with your router on the respective website.
I use Private Internet Access. It works on PC/Mac and mobile. I either watch on the ipad/iphone or cast it via chromecast from the At Bat app to the TV and I've yet to have an issue. It runs $40/year.
I know some others like ZenMate have PS3/PS4/Xbox capabilities but I haven't ventured into those yet
HD SNY Ace Stream acestream://5d9775a93fcbaaaeeadd716510b4255e7df6b85e
Ace Stream is a media player for windows similar to VLC that uses bit torrent to distribute the stream. you can download it here http://acestream.org/
Some people love it some people hate it. Google Ace Stream and decide if it is right for you. Unfortunately this is the best stream I have come across.
It's a P2P streaming format - you need the VLC-based Acestream player (http://acestream.org/) to watch it.
Has its own issues compared to web streams, but when it works the quality of streams are usually a lot higher, and it avoids webpages cluttered with dodgy ads and pop-ups. It's pretty much a standard best format for /r/soccerstreams (where direct HD streams get taken down pretty rapidly), I find it a bit weird that it's so rare to see on here.
The stream I've linked has a bit of occasional choppiness, but it seems to be on the source video rather than issues with connectivity.
I've been a subscriber for years and love it. To all the people complaining about blackouts, you know about services like Unlocator, right? Roku apps is great, and 60fps if you've got the network to swing it is silky smooth.
Does anyone use dnsmasq on their router with their SmartDNS service (Unblock-Us, Unlocater, etc.)?
I had the following dnsmasq script setup last season for and Unblock-Us and it worked fine without having to set the global DNS servers in the router to Unblock-Us' servers.
The advantage being only traffic would get routed to the Unblock-Us smart DNS servers. This season, this script is not working properly, even though the Unblock-Us check page indicates everything is set up properly. Presumably, there are one or more new domains that need to be added to the filter list. Anyone have any ideas on what those domains may be or how to sniff them out? I tried using the "inspect" and "network" options in Chrome while loading the stream, but the traffic is a little overwhelming.
For the time being, I'm just using device MAC addresses for my Roku devices to redirect those devices' DNS requests to Unblock-Us, but would prefer the domain name/service IP approach.
Just opened a ticket and got a concerning auto-response that says:
> Upcoming holidays on which we're closed: > > March 25, Friday (Good Friday) > March 28, Monday (Easter Monday)
Those dates line up with 2016. Makes me wonder if AFT is just on autopilot anymore...
Edit: FWIW, confirmed that Unlocator is working.
Are you casting from a phone or computer?
If from computer, select the "Cast tab" option on the dropdown of the chromecast icon on your Chrome browser. The Clappr error seems to happen when you click on the Chromecast icons that are sometimes integrated into the bottom of the embedded players on the websites. Don't click on those icons, as they don't seem to work for some strange reason. Instead, always click on the Chromecast icon located at the top of your Chrome browser tab and use the cast tab option.
If from phone, download any one of those 3rd party casting apps. I use this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instantbits.cast.webvideo&hl=en_US
These apps have browsers built into the app so you can navigate to any of the streaming sites on the web. Then when you hit the Chromecast icon from within that app's browser, it'll cast fine. I kept trying to cast from my phone using the Chrome mobile browser, but it always gave me the Clappr error. Then one day it struck me that there's probably dedicated apps just for this purpose for phones, so I randomly searched the Play Store and found that one listed above. There's many other 3rd party casting apps available in the store too, but the one above has the best rating I believe.
Here are the 2 plans to choose from:

You want the 'Best of Live TV Beta- Multi Stream'.
Before you lay out the cash, maybe call them just to ensure the YES is available to all who get the Beta package. I know I have it on mine, but I am also in the NYC area. I'm 99% sure you'd get it, but calling would give you the extra assurance.
Sling TV works with Chromecast, Roku, FireTV, Android, iOS, XBox, and they have an app for Windows.
https://www.sling.com/devices
Like I said, just double check with them that you'll get YES in your area and you'll be good to go.

Just want to add here, completely separate from Unlocator / Yonder. I setup a DNS access on Digital Ocean on a droplet in UK / Germany and those were not working for tonight.
Tried tinkering with it for hours on my laptop and on my nvidia shield tv and nothing worked with a different DNS
MLB is definitely screwing with Smart DNS services because many are having issues with Unlocator and Yonder is not working at all. Hopefully Unlocator keeps working for you, but don’t hold your breath.
I use IPVanish. It's worked well for me. I'll also echo what others have said in saying use and Adblocker as well. I would recommend Ublock Origin. There is another called just Ublock, but you want Ublock Origin. Some streams require you to disable it and the loophole around that is to disable the adblock for that page, reload the page, then reenable it.
It registers the public IP address you signed up with, same as Unlocator.. you have the option to update it on the fly if you are using a different Internet connection (hotel, mobile, etc.) than the one you signed up with..
No sign in, just point to their DNS servers from the device behind the registered IP address..
I just canceled my AFT account because they never responded, and Unlocator has been working great. They were great for quite a while, but their days are clearly behind us.
Don't forget to cancel the payment link from the Paypal side either.. just in case their "cancel" process is just as good as their ticket responses.
You are already paying for the stream. Might as well push a couple extra dollars as another user mentioned. VPN. Easiest way, just set location to out of territory... if you do not want to bother with extra cords, screen/browser casting, etc. ExpressVPN, PrivateVPN, IPVanish... they are all top quality, and quick for HD streams.
I cut the cord years ago, Reddit is a goldmine for streams & info. I pay only for unlimited Internet service at 1,000Mbs generally achieve over 900 & have zero cable/satellite or streaming service bills. Have 4 large screens in "da Cave" & 3 others around the house. I stream everything & catch local on antenna. Gold Tip - buy a top of the line ARRIS router, go into the router homepage & adjust settings to only N protocol on 2.4 reducing bandwidth to 20 & AC if your equipment supports it otherwise N/AC mix at 40 bandwidth. These are simple anyone can do it adjustments & will increase WiFi speeds double or more. FireTVsticks are also great to use but require a little config & aint talking KODI which is a pain. A PAID VPN subscription is a MUST, don't stream without it & IPVanish & ExpressVPN are both solid choices. My 2 cents not open for debate but Thanks to all who submit links especially to Non-Malware infested sites.
Found a method to watch blackout games w/o a VPN, but you'll still need it to begin with. I recommend using TunnelBear for this.
Run VPN, & connect to any desired country.
When connected, go to & sign in.
Go to the blacked out game, & start video feed.
When the feed begins playing, disconnect from VPN.
Ta-da! You should be disconnected from your VPN but the feed of the blacked out game should continue. Just don't close out the tab/window.
(My room has no cable, and I honestly believe the idea of blackout areas when you have a premium subscription is lame.)
You may also pause the feed & go back to Live without the VPN.
Be aware that is cracking down on VPNs and smart DNS services this year. My account was suspended yesterday and it seems others are seeing the same issue (see /r/baseball/comments/4ezxdu/mlbtv_account_suspended/). I've been using Unlocator for the past 3 years without a problem. I will never again consider paying for another MLB product until they remove these ridiculous in-market blackouts.
I use Private Internet Access as well. My router ASUS RT-AC3200 allows me to connect an OpenVPN client to PIA. This "unblocks" my entire network and allows me to use AppleTV which doesn't have native VPN support.
I live in Los Angeles and bought MLB Premium TV and use Unlocator, setup was easy as I just did it with my router so all my devices can stream without further setup. Works like a charm and glad I pulled the trigger. Nohting like seeing baseball in pure HD!
BTW, Giants look scary this year, love seeing all the homegrown talent on your team.
Last year I waited until it was $12 and I got most of the Giants playoff games. All but one, I believe. I noticed a game here and there from other series' weren't available, but I didn't try an awful lot. I don't know the rules, but I was happy with the results (when paired with Unlocator.)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.blinkt.openvpn
Use one of the APK converters to download the .apk.
Then follow the instructions on PIA's website for setting up with an OpenVPN Client. It's geared towards Linux, but you should be able to translate the instructions to the android app linked above no problem.
If you get your streams from your sports in hd you can cast/direct stream those videos to your tv with this app assuming your using an android device. The app might be available for iOS as well though.

I use the app TuneIn Radio (Google Play Store). It streams local station broadcasts throughout the world. While I'm also a MLB subscriber, I prefer this app, and it's free...
VPNs can be of varying quality. The DNS services use your full bandwidth so you can be sure to stream the best quality that your network can handle.
I use https://unlocator.com/ and they have a 7 day trial.
Former Yonder user who’s been using Unlocator this week, testing it out via the free trial.
The last two days it has been fine. Tonight my team isn’t playing but I’m unable to watch another team that is blacked out for my area.
How is Unlocator working for others tonight?
This is interesting, because I've used Unblock-us the last several years and it's now not working, but Unlocator has been the last several days. I had Unlocator working with their DNS servers set in the router, my IPv6 routing turned off in the router, and static routes set for Google DNS servers (Unlocator has guides to set this up in their tips and tricks section in case individual apps are trying to bypass your router's DNS settings). I had to add Unlocator's DNS servers to my routers dnsmasq config to be able to turn IPv6 back on and have it work.
Thanks for the help. When I mirror it gives me the error “Screen Recording not Permitted” even though I have SR disabled on my iphone. I’ve been emailing w ExpressVPN and they’ve had me try a few things but nothing has been successful. From the sounds of others on this thread I think maybe the network giants have been able to squash any work arounds this season...

I signed up with both Unlocator and YonderTV and have their DNS configured separately on my two Apple TVs. Been having issues on and off with Unlocator as recently as yesterday (as have many others on twitter). Haven't had a single issue with YonderTV since last Tuesday (april 3rd).
Unlocator is also working for me viewing the Cards games. It wasn't working initially until the end of the game on 3/30. It's worked for games on 3/31 and 4/1 since then. I had used Unblock-us for previous 2 years, but I haven't gotten it to work, yet, and haven't heard back from their support people in about 4 days.
The "Screen Recording not Permitted" seems like it's something built into the At Bat app that is detecting the screen mirroring even though you have screen recording disabled on the phone. That's most likely not related to the VPN connection. Unblock-us, although not a true VPN service, has been working for me the last several weeks (Unlocator was also working when I tried it earlier in the season), and it's easy to setup at the router level if Apple TV doesn't let you set DNS servers manually. My neighbor uses Unblock-us with his Apple TV and and , and it's been working well for him. Both Unblock-us and Unlocator (probably other SmartDNS services) have a free 7 day trial with just an email address, so may be worth a try. I've found, this season anyway, that Unlocator was much more responsive to support emails if there's an issue.
I have used Unblock-US for the past 2 years on my Apple TV. It had worked really well. This year, I couldn't get it to their tech support has been completely unresponsive (which was not the case the past 2 years). So I tried Unlocator instead, and it did not work either. It was running for 1 game, but then would quit in the middle and I couldn't get it back on. I simply got an Error message. I tried working with Unlocator's tech support, but it was taking them about a day to respond to email, and when they did kept telling me the same "steps" over and over again (even though I had already told them that the steps didn't work). They insisted that they had tested MLB in their offices, and it was working just fine.
After much frustration, I tried yet a 3rd service called Smart DNS Proxy. So far, it seems to be a bit slower than the other services. But the good news is that a) it's working, and b) their tech support is live chat, so they did realtime trouble shooting with me to get up and running. So for me, it's Smart DNS Proxy until either Unblock-US or Unlocator gets their act together.
I was messing around the entire game (locally blacked-out game) with both Unblock-us and Unlocator configurations, and finally got Unlocator to work in the last inning. The same configuration did not work about 40 minutes before, so there must be some cat-and-mouse going on between and the Smart DNS services. My working configuration was the Unlocator DNS server IPs in my router. I also added the static routes to my router's LAN configuration that Unlocator recommends for Googles DNS servers (in case the Roku app itself tries to bypass the router's DNS rules). I have my IPv6 routing disabled for now, so the apps don't try to use an IPv6 route to look up the geoservers. Both my Roku and PC started working about the the same time. Anyway, my in-market game is over now, so I guess we'll see if it continues to work for tomorrow's game.
Reply here with what DNS service and device you are currently using (or tried) and whether or not you’ve been having issues. This is assuming you are trying to watch a game that is blacked out in your area.
It's been working on my PS4 just fine.
Have you logged into your Unlocator account to make sure you're still connected to their DNS servers?
Last time I had this issue, my DNS settings on my device had been cleared so I was simply disconnected from Unlocators DNS servers.
I’ve been using ExpressVPN for a few years now and love it. I travel internationally quite a bit, and it always works. Also, their customer service is great, and they have multiple servers that will work with sites that detect vpn’s (mlb, Netflix, Hulu, etc).
On a side note, I have been a subscriber to for a long time, but I recently cancelled the auto renew feature and will not be subscribing next season. The blackouts have just gotten ridiculous. They are now selling games to Facebook and other social media outlets. I don’t have Facebook, so when the game I want to watch is on Facebook I can’t watch it even though I’m paying for MLB, while all Facebook users that aren’t paying can. That was the last straw for me.
I too use the BilaSports stream as my go-to. I watch the Dodgers live every game. There is no cost but you may want to look into subscribing to a VPN service to hide from your ISP. I use PIA (Private Internet Access).
I'm having the same issue. Unblock Us stopped working for me a few days ago... wouldn't let me log in to the app or anything. So I switched back to default connection settings and it worked fine, except of course the blacked out team I want to watch. Tried Unlocator trial and it let me log in at least but gave me a "critical error" message when I tried watching my team again.
I'm not sure if Yonder has the same issue Unlocator, but basically Unlocator says the problem is the FireTV because it uses location services in addition to DNS.
"Please note that the MLB app for IOS and Android is not supported due to the use of location services, which can’t be bypassed. This includes Fire Stick/TV, Nexus Player, Kindle and any other Android based device." ()
I personally have observed this. So I have to watch blacked out content via Unlocator on my Xbox.
Yonder also mentions that FireTV tries to force IP6. That could also be your problem ()"
"With the recent Amazon Fire TV OS update (version 5.0.5), Fire TV devices (boxes and sticks) will ignore IPv4 DNS settings in favor of IPv6 if available. If you're still getting blackouts, you'll need to disable IPv6 on your router in order to allow your Fire TV to use our DNS."
VPN HideMyAss worked for me in 2015. That cost me about $10/month then. The MLB stream is weak to begin with, and then routing through all the extra servers involved in VPN weakened the feed further, so your feed may freeze more often using the VPN.
You can probably access the site using duckduckgo through TOR for free. Same issues with extra freezing probably using this method because again of all the extra servers routing you around the planet, but this method is free.
SIAP
I use VPN (Private Internet Access). Less concerned with trouble watching streams, more because I don't want my ISP knowing what I do online. I use VPN almost always, they've forced my hand. It's now legal for your ISP to sell your all your online data and because NetNeutrality has been gutted.
I had done everything other than sign out of MLB on my Roku. This was the ticket! Thank you for posting all the steps here. Unlocator working for me in Milwaukee. So glad I found this thread. Thanks again!
I tried three smart DNS services. One of them was Smart DNS Proxy. I told Smart DNS Proxy about this on opening day and they still don't have it figured out. I moved over to YonderTV and it works great. It's $30 annually so not as expensive as Unlocator.
This guy, (ThatOnePrivacyGuy?) is active on Reddit but I don't remember his username. He created this ultimate VPN comparison guide.
His reviews are very detailed and contain more information than I can comprehend. He has only ever given one 5 star grade and it was given to Mullvad VPN. I have no personal experience with any VPN but I am like you in the market for one and I strongly encourage you to check out this guy's work.
I use IPVanish and it used to work great for ! This year I tried Chrome plug ins (DNS Overrider, Easy WebRTC Block, and ScriptSafe) with my VPN (IPVanish) and none of them worked to remove the blackout restriction. Whoever said to use the Opera browser was genius!!!! Installed Opera, didn't use IPVanish, opened Opera settings and enabled the built in VPN (all other settings left alone), went to , signed in and all worked perfectly! This is why I love Reddit users! You guys know what their doing! Thanks!
Would love to see a tutorial or step by step walk-through of how you did this.
I've side loaded NordVPN as well as OpenVPN. I have the VPN running fine, but I'm still running into the blackout message when I try to watch my local market team.
I had issues with ExpressVPN last year and submitted a ticket with them. Unfortunately, it did not help and I got frustrated with their lack of immediate assistance (couldn't troubleshoot at 4am when they wrote back). Given that my team (Mets) sucked last year and I gave up watching their shitty play, I didn't pursue this further.
All games unless you're in the same market as the game you want to watch. I'm in Denver trying to watch Cubs games, so unless the Cubs are in Denver playing the Rockies or the game is on ESPN, I can watch all of them. If you can't, just get a VPN like ExpressVPN and route everything through another city when you subscribe and also when you use the service.
Ditto on the VPN. I am in Denver so I don't need one for Cubs games, but I use it to watch Jaguars games. Get the VPN up and running and then subscribe to the service once you've routed all your traffic through another city. I use ExpressVPN - super easy, fast, and it syncs between your laptop and phone for the same price. PM me if you want an invite link to get a free month and see how it works. Super easy. Plus having a VPN is great for other things besides watching Cubs games, like when you are using public Wifi.
Edit: When choosing a VPN, I wouldn't go for the cheapest one. You could be faced with ads, or the VPN might not have the level of support or security you need if it's dirt cheap. There are active coupon codes for ExpressVPN to help bring the cost down (annual is normally a little over $8 per month).
Unfortunately, you are in the group who doesn't have that option yet:
plus Unlocator sounds like your best bet for now.
Unlocator works most of the time. Sometimes it breaks and MLB knows. I got a love letter from MLB last year talking me to stop. I didn't. It still worked. I'm not paying for again... I'll use this subred, lazyman, and maybe pay for blue if that doesn't work. What MLB doesn't understand is that I would pay 300 bucks to use their service with no blackouts... That's about what people pay for Sunday Ticket, so seems a good place to draw a line.
AirVPN works well many different servers to chose from, and countries as well. A bit pricey, but well worth it.
Also for a cheaper (free one week trial too), but easier alternative you can go to this site is much simple, and you can watch all MLB without any blackouts.
Landed here after doing some searching, I think this will help: ?tid=262745
Ran it my Fire TV stick last night, works for in market games with Unlocator DNS running on my router. I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to run Unlocator or PIA vpn on Kodi to get in market streaming to work on my Android tablet. The VPN addon doesnt seem to work in Android.
I'm in Los Angeles. I set my VPN to Canada and the games stream fine. If you're on an iPhone or iPad just download SurfEasy. It's free and all you gotta do is set to Canada for a moment, start the stream, and go back to turn off the VPN so you don't use its free MB's.
If you use the eracknaphobka's addon, you can get MLB's highest quality streams (5000 kbps, 60 fps) on any device, including Fire TV. Works great with Unblock-Us right now, a one time router setup
I'm using this one for my phone only:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.instantbits.cast.webvideo&hl=en_US
Otherwise, from my laptop, I obviously have to use the Chrome browser like everyone else.
also make sure you set up Port Forwarding on your router for the Chromecast
