Just a heads up, IPFS uses a dht, like torrents, but it's like all one giant "torrent" with an enormous dynamically-made data set. Performance has been degrading as it grows like what has been happening with https://d.tube.
The core IPFS devs acknowledge it turns out dht's don't scale well and have in mind to come up with better routing.
Really hope we get more resources poured to development of p2p systems. Webtorrent like in bitchute is even more shit with awful performance of current implementations and still a newborn protocol.
We need this shit yesterday especially with the purging and censorship of conservatives and now we're realizing it. Not only build the sites but the infant protocols too.

Different issue but end result is video not playing. Seems to be server side. Donate if you can to help fund more coffee for the people who code the site. https://www.bitchute.com/help-us-grow/
And paypal too: https://bitchute.info/bitchutes-immediate-removal-from-paypal/
Let us all remember going forward that using paypal and patreon is hurtful to a free and open internet.
We can still donate to BitChute via Bitcoin, BTC, and etherium directly at the addresses on their website. https://www.bitchute.com/help-us-grow/
I mean, I'm not doing anything porn-related, but I have some Japanese-oriented videos (mostly on Youtube, but the new stuff is going on Bitchute). I played Skyrim for a while in Japanese and translated - and gave grammar breakdowns - on SOME of the language used.

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file transfer protocol for sharing large amounts of data over the Internet, in which each part of a file downloaded by a user is transferred to other users.
WebTorrent is an independent project started by Feross Aboukhadijeh in October 2013 and is the first torrent client that works in the browser. YEP, THAT'S RIGHT. THE BROWSER. BitChute is powered by WebTorrent.
now that you mention it, do you remember they reimplemented p2p 7 months ago?
i wonder why they didn't continue work on that or actually use it because it worked perfectly fine ~~after my bug report~~
If you have an android phone, you should give bitslide a try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.rbinesconsulting.bitslide&hl=en_US
I uploaded this:

odysee is a frontend for lbry with extra features and a better ux.
is there something specific you wanna know about it? you could just try it out, check their channel and read the faq
LBRY / Odysee doesn't do any file processing, so you should process your videos yourself before uploading.
Run your file through Handbrake, and make sure it's set to be "Web Optimized"
That's actually not true, they have full control over the process, it seems to work exactly the same as Bitchute except you can seed it yourself off your own computer, they still control whatever passes as a tracker in their version, which means they can pull files off their servers the same as Bitchute can pull files off of their trackers. https://lbry.com/faq/host-content
I do everything manually its just easier. LBRY has a much easier way yet they take FOREVER to transfer your videos due to the amount of people joining.
You basically create your LBRY channel copy and paste your YouTube channel in the box and they'll do it for you but don't expect it to be done in three days. If you're just looking for another platform to back up your videos then check on your channel after a week. Mine haven't transferred over yet its been two weeks.
You can use Jdownloader: https://jdownloader.org/download/index
It can grab an m4a audio file, if that helps any vs converting from video file.
Maybe you can track down an mp3 plugin that could go direct.
>What I don't get is how this has happened out of the blue. My videos looked normal just a few days ago. Now it's not only my recent videos, but all of my videos look downgraded. Blurry. They look plainly bad. I don't think the videos were HD before this, and they don't have to be. I would guess 720p, but not what I see now.
That sounds weird. BitChute was 480p or lower ever since I joined (back in 2019).
>I tried downloading MPV from different places, but I only get to download two update files. When I click on one, it says that mpv is not available. See, thats what I hate. You try to solve one problem, you get more bs to deal with.
No kidding. It's pretty annoying. Especially if you're the type of person who goes through a list of pass phrases for different accounts. This was one of the big reasons I switched over from the Firefox Browser to Vivialdi's. Big recommend form me if it's reason enough for you to switch. https://vivaldi.com/
The bandwidth BitChute uses is vastly reduced once more than one user is viewing - because every viewer becomes a node which also streams.
See https://webtorrent.io for more details.
Use Youtube-DL (not only for YouTube) to download BitChute videos.
As long as BitChute uses Cloudflare, it's doomed to failure. Cloudflare can modify the content that is being sent to the users and totally block the access, even with VPN, to countries where BitChute is blocked by the government.

Yes, i send them an message about it and asked if it will be .VP9 They said 'VP9 is good but has low adoption rate. I said back But VP9 has ¾ support of devices and browsers
You can look in to gab for the conversation https://mobile.twitter.com/bitchute/status/1201084724212428801
TOR might help with anonymity, a VPN doesn't. Even if they say they aren't logging they still are, they are. When it comes to security, NordVPN covers up a vulnerability for 2 years then sends its shills after anyone who calls them out.
Here is the Bitchute app from the Google Play I use. No you can't upload but its convenient to check your channel respond to comments as well copy links to share your and other videos. Biggest problem is updates.
Mistake, you CAN Upload from the App.**

for 7 and 8, try the bitslide app

It is an unofficial native BitChute android app

For your phone you can give it a try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=anticlimacticteleservices.sic
I'm planning on an Android TV version and Fire Stick, will probably take a while to work down the list to Roku compatibility. I hear rumors that they'll have actual official apps some day.
You do realize that there's already an App for BitChute on the Play Store right now, right? It's just in need of some updates done to it. So what's stopping you from doing it?
