Try the Transit - Real time Transport app.
Its pretty much as up to date as the digital bus station boards, and way more user friendly than other transit apps I've used.
Plus, you have the option of allowing it to track your phones GPS once you're riding the bus to share its position with other users at stops down the line. The more people use it, the better it gets.

No you're not. Bee Clean starts at $14 and their job advertisements literally never go down; they're always looking.
Looking since September and you couldn't find anything above minimum wage? Bullshit. You're just too picky.
But that's ok because you can clearly afford to be picky. If I was unemployed since September I'd be out on the street. you're lucky you get to be so picky. Just please don't pretend like you're such a victim of circumstance, when you're really just being picky.

I was confused by the names thinking this was an official city of Winnipeg Transit app.
TL;DR 3rd party app "Google Play:Transit" will use crowdsourcing for real time location of buses.
Game-changer!
As pointed out by James Turner - it was a one-question survey, no follow-up questions to ask people why they chose their answer, or to ask if they had ever visited. Absolutely useless summer filler.

I'm guessing it's the price. This is the land of dollar stores. $50 for a few hours of beginner CSS training in Winnipeg is like charging $150-$200 in Toronto or Vancouver.
For a non-profit group, I'd expect a bring-your-own-lunch option, and perhaps a $15 to 20 fee, max. Especially when I can learn it for free here: http://www.codecademy.com/en/tracks/web

I grew up here in Winnipeg and used to wear Dr Martens all the time. The soles freeze in the winter, can crack, and the treads are extremely slippery on snow.
This is more the sort of thing you need here in winter:
Doc Martens are just fine here outside of winter, though.
This march literally united people from all over the world to stand up for the rights of women in the United States. Will trump listen? No, he's seen it happening and has twittered out, well they should have voted. This is one of the largest, most peaceful protests I have seen in my lifetime. It certainly caught the eyes of multiple world leaders, and upcoming world leaders as well. I couldn't even get through this whole article because there are just so many places that took part:
Do you have a computer or a phone?
If you're curious about Kodi, which is what these 'android tv boxes' run, you can get a version for almost any computer OS or mobile device that you are likely to be running here: https://kodi.tv/download/
Throw Fusion on (search for Youtube videos for how to add Fusion to Kodi) and you'll be all set.
The advantage of these boxes is that 'everything' is set up for you already and they have a small footprint for living room use.
But, if you want to try it without spending any money, you can.
Your ISP doesn't have anything to do with whether or not you can get US Netflix.
If you want unfettered access, buy a router with VPN support, and subscribe to a VPN service with gateways in the US, like Private Internet Access, Hotspot Shield or Witopia.
You can use a VPN without a VPN router, but you'd have to manually enter the settings and connect to it on each individual device.
Same thing. Thought 'Oh fuck what did I do and why are they watching.' Using a VPN now and it's working. I use the paid version of this: https://www.surfeasy.com But they have so many megs for free, so you can use it until MTS fixes it, if you don't already have a VPN.
True story (not sure why you've gotten down voted for it) most of those TOS agreements allow the social media company to retain the rights to your photos. Check out, for more details.
The City of Winnipeg endorsed traffic app waze has a speed limit indicator and also displays your speed based on your GPS, so you could actually confirm where/when it goes from 60km/h to 50km/h, etc.
Even if you don't need the map feature, the app is great for displaying speed limits in this city of minimal speed limit signs.
I agree. However decriminalization is only a half measure unfortunately. Sure it's a good starting point because people need to be treated instead of punished but decrim only addresses some of the issues. Full legalization of all drugs will allow drug users to be safe through regulation and research. It will also significantly decrease gang violence and reduce police budgets required in order to keep track of these gangs distributing these drugs, which those monies saved could be applied elsewhere in the budget (just think about how much is spent to control drugs).
I know it seems radical to legalize but I urge you to read Dr. Carl Hart's book called Drug Use for Grown Ups. Dr. Carl Hart was the former Chair of Psychology Dept at Columbia and now leads research at Columbia on illicit drugs. He has now come out as a frequent heroin user (insufflation not injection) and argues that all recreational drugs can not only be safe to use but do actually have some positive attributes. Again I know it seems radical but I urge you to read his book or purchase the audio book version.
Consider this: most drug overdoses happen because either the drug user was not taking the drug they believed to have purchased because it had additives in it (such as fentanyl in heroin) or because they were uneducated on taking a depressant (such as alcohol or a benzodiazepine) with an opioid (such as heroin or pain medication). These combinations are deadly because it slows body functions down to a critical level.
If we accept that there will always be drug users and that we will never eradicate drug use, then we need to make it legal for people to buy these drugs safely through regulation, education and research.
I accept all the downvotes ha. Again, I realize how this can be viewed as counterintuitive to solving the opioid crisis but I believe in the long run it will lead to a healthier society.
Keep in contact with your city councilor. If they were able to get police to help in the front lanes, they can get police to help in the back lanes. They can also help you look for more permanent solutions, like making the alley one way only.
Also, every time you see a violation make a report: https://www.winnipeg.ca/police/report/default.stm#traffic
If they get enough reports about speeding happening in back lanes, they should enforce.
Keep in mind that the drivers might actually be doing the limit. Most of the time, I drive about 15km on my back lane and the neighbours do the same. Someone doing 30km in a narrow alley might seem like they are 'flying' but it is all about perspective.
If you really want to be that person, you could splash out on one of these https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B001R5CJII/ Or some dastardly wayward person could leave an old sofa carelessly in the lane making it very narrow, but that might get someone in trouble with bylaw enforcement.

Hey, it's Winnipeg we're comparing to Minneapolis. We're not comparing Anchorage to Key West. You don't enter another universe as soon as you cross that 49th parallel.
Winnipeg gets about 40-50 fewer minutes of daylight than Minneapolis on the winter solstice and 40-50 more minutes during the summer solstice, according to http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/sunrise.html. Hardly noticeable on a day-to-day basis.

most pet stores are similiar in price and supply choice. Pet Value tends to be a bit higher, but otherwise all the box stores are around the same. Costco is great for larger dog beds. Amazon is truly your best bet for most pet supplies, especially poop bags. I bout these two years ago, have two dogs and am maybe half way through them.
Download the PayByPhone app, the meter should have a location number (7912 in your case) that you can input if the machine isn't working and can pay that way.
Takes the guesswork out of paying for parking at confusing places like that.
You should definitely check out openstreetmap for bike trails. Found out about this a few weeks ago -- I had no idea there were so many cool trails! I really like biking through Assiniboine Forest or the Harte Trail, they literally feel cool when I bike through them.

From WikiTravel:
> Winnipeg Taxicab Tariff: Starting fee: $3.50 with 72.5 metres, then $0.10 for each additional 72.5 metres + $0.10 for each 13.18 seconds of time. Whenever the taxi stops, there's a "waiting time charge" of $0.10 for each 13.18 seconds of metered waiting time. A 10 km ride works out to about $17.20 + any waiting times + tip (15-20%).

I went to a private psychologist and she charged me on a sliding scale. She also gave me a book - The Feeling Good Handbook by Dr. David Burns, for Cognative Behaviour Therapy.
I saw her a total of four times, and she was helpful, but that book saved me. You can get it at the library.
Here's the thing about CBT - it takes a while to work, because you are basically rewiring your brain to respond differently. It's like changing a habit.
I suffered from panic attacks. I would do the steps in the book and I would rate my panic before and after. At first, my panic would go from a 10 to like, an 8. I was like, WHAT THE HELL, this isn't helping at ALL.
But my therapist told me to stick with it. So I did. After a while, my panic went from 10 to 6. Then an 8 to a 4. Then a 5 to a 3. It got better.
It took me about 6-8 months from my first panic attack to feeling like myself again. Exercise helped a lot. I would walk fast - I couldn't run, I was too out of shape - or I would get on my bike. Working up a sweat was important. You have to give the adrenaline in your system some place to go. And the endorphins released afterwards help with depression.
Good luck. Keep going. Reaching out is half the battle. If you keep working at it, it WILL get better.

I would strongly suggest not financing a car with the intent of trading it in within a year. If your credit is damaged, unless you make huge payments you will not own enough of it to actually make any money off of it and you will still owe the bank after you trade it in. They have a pretty term for it, but it's really a horrible thing.
Get out, look at, research and test drive cars you are interested in. This will give you an appreciation for how different cars actually feel both mechanically and how you feel in them. This will also give you an appreciation for how to deal with car salesmen, or women. Make your intentions clear and you might actually find one that isn't a dick. If you find something you like, even think about renting one for a couple of days to see if you can live with it.
When it comes down to the brass tacks of the deal, DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING THEY VERBALLY CONVEY AS LEGALLY BINDING. If they say something, make them physically write it into the contract. If they say they can't or are unwilling to, they are lying or trying to screw you. Also if you don't see some sort of history report (ie carfax etc) assume it's bad. My sister bought a used car from StJames VW a few years ago and when she went to trade it in last month, found out that in the 2 years it was leased before she bought it, there were almost $30000 in claims on it.
There's an American Lemon Law Lawyer that has a blog/podcast, mostly about car buying. Some of it is US specific, but the basics to what he talks about can be applied anywhere. Here is a LINK to his most recent article, with a relevant title. Here's MORE of his articles.
Remember, it's your money. If you don't like what they are saying or doing, you are free to walk out and never go back.

You can bring your own tubing to any of the nice campsites in the province. Here's one supplier on amazon. Just clean up after yourself and don't leave any sharps around.
You can get this drone for $60 on Amazon. It came highly recommended by some 'what can I get for under $50 US' reddit thread. Perfect social item, as people want them but can't justify buying them for themselves. Will probably make 10 times it's value in raffle tickets at any reasonably attended social.
I'm no audiophile, especially so when I'm at the gym, so I usually just buy cheaper ones on Amazon. I bought the Anker Soundbuds Slim a couple months ago and so far I love them. Paid less than $35, battery life is advertised at 10hrs, and honestly it's probably pretty close to that.
A 120 volt pump will serve you much better than the 12 volt one you bought. Something like:

Layers are best. You can get thermal underwear(long johns) if you're going to be outside for long periods. Decent boots/shoes, a decent jacket, and some gloves/mitts should be sufficient. Mostly it's around -20° to -25°. There's only a few days where it gets to -30° and below, and usually only stays there for a couple days.
But layers are key. You can take some off when you go inside or add more if you're not warm enough. I usually wear a shirt, sweater, and jacket. When it gets colder I throw on a touque (we don't call them hats or beanies like in the US - if you do people will think you're talking about a ball cap or just stare at you like you're weird), or a scarf. If you're going to be outside for longer on cold days, then thermal underwear, consider a thermal layer for shirt as well, and some nice wool socks. Also, mitts are way warmer than gloves. Nearly anytime I've worn gloves my hands get cold.
Also, if you get cold hands/feet really easily, consider grabbing some of those one-time use heat packs. You can find them many places, and they're great for an emergency or if you find you're under-dressed. I usually buy a box at Costco and have some in the car at all times. I use them for running/skiing in the winter, and sometimes give out extras to pan-handlers on the really cold days.

Books are in great shape, most I just flipped through and haven't even read yet. I have one photo of everything but can take more detailed photos of individual items upon request.
I'm wanting to sell the region guides and corresponding adventures/campaigns together, but the other items that aren't part of a "set" can go individually.
Here's the list:
Wilderland Adventures - $35
The Road Goes Ever On - $30
The Eaves of Mirkwood & Loremaster Screen - $30
Rhovanion Region Guide & Mirkwood Campaign - $70
Rivendell Region Guide & Eriador Adventures (not yet in stores) - $70
Let me know if you have any questions.

I'm not 100% on that, but if you look at this archive of the MB page from 2007, it said then:
> "These provincially subsidized loans are interest-free while you are a full-time student and for six months after your studies end. "
So I think this new announcement must be making them interest-free after graduation. (That's where I'd want an income cap on this program).
If you're close to the north end of town the Wellness Institute has a Yoga Studio with a bunch of different instructors and classes. A monthly pass is $50 or you can pay per class. I'm not sure what the CFIB guy is trying to say but it sounds like he is putting misinformation out there. Best course of action is to make sure you hard wire your box to the router. Get one with QOS to stop others from hogging all your bandwidth, mainly upload, as that's the easiest to fill.
secondly, if you want to track it down, run ping plotter on a second machine while you're playing on the original machine, to the server you're connecting to. it will show you where the lag is occurring..... maybe. if it comes back clear then it's something within the game.

I stuck one of those little situational mirrors on my helmet to minimize turning my head to the left to check for cars coming up from behind me. Been a life saver one 2 fronts - I no longer drift in the lane I'm checking because I don't turn my head.
And, I've become so accustomed to it, that I literally can't stand going for even a 30 second test ride (after tuneup/adjustmetns) without the mirror - I feel exposed and situationaly unaware. As a result, I pathologically wear my helmet.

If you want to start CBT on your own, pick up a copy of The Feeling Good Handbook at any major bookstore. Read the relevant chapters to you (anxiety and/or depression) and start the exercises. DO THEM EVERY TIME YOU NEED TO DO THEM. It takes a bit - you're retraining your brain how to think - but it helped me tremendously.
I used CBT to help me with my anxiety. Hubby needed meds. So still speak to someone who can get you sorted out. :)
You're not alone.
I would also recommend CBT. I could provide anecdotal evidence, but recent studies have also suggested that it's the most effective form of therapy. The most common exercise book is called The Feeling Good Handbook, if you want to get started on your own.

So, the idea behind windchill is simple; the faster the wind is when its cold out, the faster heat is taken from your body. The colder it is outside before the wind speed factor is added to the calculation, the faster you will get frostbite. Being exposed to wind in winter can induce frostbite within five minutes or less. This is the most shocking element of our winters, the open areas allow the wind to whip through and chill you quickly. In regards to boots, aim for a pair that are waterproof to the ankle, there is alot of weeks of winter with slushy, chemically melted snow on the sidewalks. Depending on the area of town you live in, you may find it difficult to travel the sidewalks without proper footwear, not all streets are treated equal for road cleaning. Also, the type of boot you choose depends on if you walk a distance daily, wait a time for the bus (which will be late alot after the snow starts) if you simply walk to the car. You will be alot colder if you're not moving. My personal favorite weather source is Weather Underground
Ancient Beach Trail in the Grand Beach area is a pleasant, short hike. There's lots of signage along the trail talking about the history too, which kids may get a kick out of. The last time I went there I had a pretty close encounter with some deer as well.

I use the AllTrails app(for Android or IOS) to find trails for hiking or biking. You can search by map, so if there's a particular place you want to go, you can see if there are any trails there. It's very convenient.
this is their groupon https://www.groupon.com/deals/allied-paintball-canada-maple-ridge-location

Heartland Groupon $13 for 2 people for 1 hour
Good for the next 30 hours or so. Can't say which is better for kids personally, but the reviews seem pretty positive.
> driving to Thompson and then just staying there. It's beautiful in the summer time and Paint Lake is an absolute gem.
Amen to this, stop at little limestone lake along the way, http://cpawsmb.org/campaigns/little-limestone-lake
Stop at Pisew falls and then maybe stay a night and camp at the base of kwasitchewan falls http://wikitravel.org/en/Kwasitchewan_Falls
Then visit paint lake, maybe go canoe camping. Then drive north down 280 (super scenic) and stop at gillam.
Then go back home, not much to see in Churchill in June.
I've had it for decades, literally. Bought it sometime in the late '70s-early '80s, probably at Gooch's. Was just checking it over today, planning to reinstall. It is a German brand, Union. Seems to be still working, but was surprised at how worn the splines on the drive wheel are. I put a lot of miles on that thing, did a lot of night riding commuting home from late shifts. Seems to still work though. You might try Gooch, Woodcock, Olympia, but there's also online, too. Looks like they're still making them.

Average is around 20°F during the day, dropping to around 5°F at night.
Wear a sweater, warm winter jacket, toque (you folks call it a beanie or winter hat because you're weird - it's called a Toque [pronounced too-k]), and some gloves or mitts. If you're really averse to the cold, a scarf or neckwarmer will help. I doubt it will be cold enough for long johns/thermal underwear unless you're spending a long time outside. Warmer shoes will probably do, boots preferred as we'll likely have some snow by then.
windy.com has some good overlays for air quality as well. As well as fire intensity
I love all these sites.
There is also this if you are into cycling or dog walking, just minutes away.
It's not just for metal shows but this is basically everything happening in the city. You can filter by dates or you can click on the venue to see whats going there.
If you want to drive to Brandon (2-3 hours), there are some nice trails in the Brandon Hills.
Downtown is easily where all of the office work is, I can't find any stuff about what percentage of the workforce this is, but for sure highest concentration of workforce in 1 sq mile.
According to this outdated brochure there are 72,000 downtown workers: https://web.archive.org/web/20140111075234/http://www.downtownwinnipegbiz.com/resource/file/DBIZ_Trends_2010.pdf
This post is better suited for /r/winnipegmarketplace. Your request would be better off directed to LocalBitcoins, a site designed for exactly what you're asking.
Also keep in mind that the city's first bitcoin ATM is opening tomorrow.

edit: i works, does a lot of nifty things, might not help in diagnosing your space shuttle but works perfectly for simple home use.
Since seems there is a group of people who blames Facebook for missing invites and details I have set up a newsletter for this also so Facebook is not needed. All info will be sent to people on there at the same time as the Facebook page!
