From the first picture, closest I could find were these. https://www.amazon.com/Ray-Ban-Unisex-Adult-Rb3547n-Flat-Sunglasses/dp/B08B1B4CZ4 There can be some good cheap alternatives if you search for the oval style
23% of ye so far are either braindead or it's your second language in which case you get a pass and a free link towards DuoLingo
/u/sureforthecraic gets a link to /r/EnglishLearning so she can string a sentence together at some point.
Ah, you shouldn't have too much of a problem getting started so :)
I'd go with Kodi first if you've never used a Pi before:
It's fairly quick to get started and a great way of bringing your whole photo, music, and video collection together on the big screen. Uses you TV's remote too, so no extra clutter either.
Dub emigrant here in US. Tripped across this in Groupon.
We can laugh but I'm sure they're printing money with this horseshite. Maybe I'll set up an agency selling Irish bridges ;)
Oh if I was to recommend a book I’d have to recommend another one! It’s a about the person who set up the Silk Road! Fascinating read!

I'm using Private Internet Access. I've got Express VPN on my work laptop, I could try that when I get to work tomorrow. I've heard good things about Surfshark, Nord VPN too. I'll see if it has a trial
>Amazon
nope
did a search and only one that is available is "by invitation" only , so basically a lottery
Ah yes, I just had a look there, and those look like the proper job alright. And I'm starting to see the differences between the good ones and the weak pieces of shite now. This is the Philips one I got a few years ago: Philips Hair Clipper. It looks kind of fancy in the photos, but it's about as light as a bag of Taytos and feels like something you'd get in a lucky bag.
I did pick up a cheap 5 head shaver last year alright, just to test myself to see if I'd even use it. It's absolutely fine, but I don't use it enough to actually buy a more expensive one.
I might pick up one of those Wahl ones alright though, thanks!
well for a start you can get a saorview aerial and plug it into the tv for the saorview channels
i have one of these and it works great
I am using Just Run, it is free and has a full 9 week program that is easy and straightforward, no ads. It has an upgrade to premium for €3.50 but they aren't aggressive about it.

I got that kit on amazon for 20 quid and it has EVERYTHING you could need to get started in one handy bag. Getting used to the colour codes in patterns is awkward, but you can just go with your gut on what is closest anyway.
Loads of free patterns on line too. and r/CrossStitch is amazing. they've a huge FAQ linked that has links to all the starter videos you could need, and everyone on there is so lovely, your teeth could rot from the sweetness. It's so good!
Tbh I don’t know if I’d recommend ours, it was on the cheaper side as we didn’t know if we’d use it a huge amount and we’ve found the non stock coating has gone fairly quickly. Will run it into the ground before replacing it though.
Behold! The tabletop mini dishwasher! What a time to be alive!
I've been using this minimalist phone launcher for a few weeks and it's been great at reducing my screen time and distractions. Makes the phone feel dumb but will all the benefits of a smart phone. I think it's android only minimalist phone launcher
I read this book and it helped. I'm usually well under an hour a day on my phone now - usually 30 - 40 mins. I don't have Reddit, Twitter, Facebook etc. on the phone. Sure, I do spend a little bit of time on my laptop that I didn't before but it's planned rather than habitual.

Not sure if you would be able to download if we gave you the link? Here
It is a lot easier to use the desktop version though, if your mum has a laptop available.
I used to suffer quite bad but I bought these a few of years back and they work for me! kinda forgot how bad I used to have it, great value for money too! still got loads!
La costena is an American brand, it's called that in the us too

Lately I've been trying out recipes from Real Irish Food by David Bowers. I'm taking him at his word about the recipes being real Irish cuisine. First thing I tried was the farmhouse vegetable soup bc I liked it so much when we visited. I've also made the white soda bread which is, as others have noted, not nearly as sweet as American soda bread. But it is so freaking delicious for something so basic! Two people here and we demolish it in no time.
Other recipes tried from the book: celery soup; seafood chowder was a big hit w/my husband, he loved having that over there; the wheaten bread I messed up somehow, will try again. I really liked that when we were over so I'm disappointed that it came out poorly.
This Facebook group for traditional Irish recipes and Celtic foods has some really tasty looking stuff in it, although I haven't tried any recipes from it yet.

Like these. He kills every thing else. He treats these with a certain reverence. No idea why.
Most definitely! There's also Meetup.com although mostly for work and other interests, but there are definitely newcomer climbing days out there as well as hikes up to Glendalough and other stuff like that.
Also definitely check if where your working has something like a sports&social club sometimes it can be good craic, our place has a dreadful 5-a-side team... we have not improved even with the amount of "training" we do.
The reason you need to do this a few times a year is because bleach does not always kill mold.
It only kills surface mold, not the membrane underneath. The mold will always return. Vinegar is much more effective for removing mold from porous materials. This is because bleach only kills mold spores on the surface of affected materials. Vinegar will penetrate porous materials and kill the mold at the roots. If you use bleach to remove mold growth, there is a good chance that the mold will return.
Remove all clothing from the area, and spray the walls with white distilled vinegar (full strength, not diluted, and not balsamic or wine vinegar).
Leave for an hour
Rinse with warm water, spray again and leave to dry.
Then get one of those moisture absorbing de-humidifying bags that people use in their cars. Does wonders for any enclosed space. And is reusable after a shot in the microwave
Blue Highways by William Least Heat Moon. I first read it when I lived in San Francisco and I recently got my third copy of the book and I'm just waiting till I get a bit of free time and good weather to delve into it when I next go camping on my land for a few days R&R all on my own.
You can either get a powerline adapter like this or a wifi extender like this
If the wifi router isn't all that far away you may well have metal in the walls stopping the wifi radio signal, so the powerline adapter runs the internet (ethernet) across the power lines
Lastly what does "wired up as a smart home" mean ? If that means you already have ethernet ports wired in then you can just plug a network cable into the router and patch it to the TV
Hope that helps. Note the powerline adapter above is the bottom of the range, for about 30 or 40 eur you can get one that is a wifi extender and a powerline adapter in one
It's linked at the bottom of the Wiki article, still available on Amazon.
It's an amazing read if you get the chance, not as grim as you'd imagine and more fascinating as it goes into such much detail.
I'd rather burn my money than hand over £70 for that crap!
I love the standard fake Chinesium reviews: "Perfect deliver, perfect condition and very easy to use ", the only genuine reviews are the 1* saying how shite the product is.
I use this clippers which is remarkable as it uses a curved blade so gets the job done in far fewer passes.
Had a blood sample and chest x-ray this morning, might be time to give up the aul' fags after thirty odd years. Whatever people say about our health service, I was impressed: blood samples €30 for a full range of tests and the x-ray was free with a three minute wait in St. Michael's for a walk-in. Thank fuck I have a Medical Card though and I don't live 5,000k to the West of our lovely island.
Prepping timber to make gates today, finish harvesting what little honey I got this year and putting it in containers.
I got a lovely book yesterday Willow: A Guide to Growing and Harvesting - Plus 20 Beautiful Woven Projects as I'm planning on planting a load of Willow in November to get into basketry and willow products to make a bit of cash and some sort of living from my land. Establishing a business on my land will also strengthen the connection to the area as required by Wicklow County Council in respect of PP applications.
I still haven't received my Eircode and I need it to open all sorts of bureaucratic doors.
Forecast is good for this weekend so I'll spend Saturday and Sunday night camping and working and enjoying the peaceful beauty of Wicklow.
Life is good.
Have you tried country relish ? Really good on a fry
Ah, that's really interesting.
Hardly related too much, but one of my favorite books is The Making Of The Atomic Bomb.
Such a fascinating read!
