I think Bowman designed those shirts for the team back in the day. Edit: Sack Francisco Men's Reaper Tee, Black, Large https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PX61GEA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_witYCb4DGX2AF
I don’t think they’re still active though....
Ah, thanks for the explanation; well put. Is there a good replay of this that shows the helmet contact? The only one I've seen seems to clearly show shoulder to shoulder. Thanks again!
There's a difference between trying to get an edge in an aggressive, competitive sport ... and literally offering a bounty to your players to hurt the other team.
>Miller's agent, Jack Reale, said there was more to the case than meets the eye but declined additional comment.
What more could there possibly be? He knocked on the wrong door at 2 in the morning, drunk as a skunk, and two men went to the hospital, one of them 70 years old. What more could there possibly be? Did the 70 year old guy throw the first punch?
Here.
The cool part about both these gifs is that the site allows you to step through them frame by frame (just figured that out, lol). You can see what happens: Whitner makes contact with the shoulder pad, but Willson's head kinda bounces off Whitner's rock hard abs eventually as the contact continues. I don't know the actual rule, but IMO the facemask did eventually hit Whitner's tummy. Does anyone know the rule about that aspect?
So far it seems like the refs are gonna go easy on the PI calls today, which I'm ok with. If they wanna get physical with Crabtree and Boldin, let em. They know what'll happen
EDIT: Ha, ya'll are probably the same people who complain about the refs when OUR DBs get called for PI and holding. The officiating is never gonna be perfect, today's game was called pretty well. Quit fucking complaining
I've seen an all gold 49er jersey. They made them for the probowl or some other special event a long time ago. Saw some lady wearing it during a game at candle stick. It did not look good at all with our shade of gold. Trust me head to told gold would be atrocious.
Edit: actually you know what? I think I'm wrong. This looks sexy AF.
you can see clearly in this that the point of contact is no where near helmet to helmet, the hit goes to the shoulder and his arm slides past. It seems like wilson's head swinging back is just from the shock of impact
>Now the mayor, and by extension the city of Santa Clara, are threatening to take back ownership of the stadium
The city already owns the stadium. The 49ers are tenants who under a separate corporation have a management contract for the stadium. So this is bunk.
>The minority owners, and fan base, already not happy with Jed's management of the team could use this as leverage to force him out as CEO.
The main minority owner is Jed York. The other primary minority owner we know of is Gideon Yu who worked on the Levi's deal to be so favorable to the 49ers. Good luck persuading him either.
The fan base is a worse dumpster fire than the franchise and nobody gives a fuck what they think because they are a boiling mass of idiots who have ideas like this one.
>If they can't pay it, depending on the terms of the contract, there is a small possibility the city of Santa Clara could demand/take ownership of the 49ers.
No, there is 0% chance of this happening.
>Thus making them a public ally owned team
Forbidden by league bylaws.
>I don't know about you guys, but i would buy the fuck out of shares in the organization.
Shares in the Packers basically let you go sit in Lambeau and vote yes on things that have already been decided for you and that's it.
>TL;DR
You have no clue what you're talking about and are rambling about your personal fantasies that are in no way in touch with reality.
It's play calling, period.
"All warfare is based on deception." - Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Don't. Be. So. Predicable. If you want to run off guard on 1st and goal, fine; but, for Pete's sake, disguise it. Every incomplete pass in the red-zone is death to us. We must gain yards on EVERY play. It is ok to pass it for only 3-4 yards. Just keep the chains moving and we score every time. Sometimes I think all O-coordinators need to play more Madden. I feel like I've run more plays in 5 seasons of franchise than some coordinators have in a lifetime.
Here's what works: PA to the TE or a WR on a drag route underneath, pitch plays for a sweep, quick slants, bunches of three WR's/TE's with lots of crossing routes (in man or zone, someone will be open), keep a HB or FB home to block, then run a delay route over the center or off tackle (works every time), draw/delay runs, QB sneaks, power run up the middle with at least 2 WR's spread out.
Here's what does NOT work: ANYTHING Jimmy Raye used to do. And when I say anything, I really mean the ONLY play he would EVER call...jumbo formation, up the gut, usually off guard, when the defense shows 9 in the box. If you ever forget this principle, just watch ANY game footage from 2008-2010. If you still can't remember, find a nice, sturdy brick wall; focus, count to ten, then run at it full speed. You'll find the results to have a striking resemblance.
As a general rule: NO 5-7 STEP DROPS INSIDE THE 20. Sacks = field goals.
You're right, that's not an activist.
>activist: an especially active, vigorous advocate of a cause, especially a political cause.
Tim Tebow never had a "cause." Just because he was very public about his religion doesn't mean he was an activist.
>Do we just use that word for poor people and people of color?
I don't even understand the point of this sentence. Money and race has nothing to do with Tebow whatsoever.
Lol, his re-emergence on special teams? have you seen his receiving/ rushing stats this year? He has a whopping 52 yards and 0 td's caught and 8 rushing yards through 4 games, dude has no idea how to run a proper route tree he's just an athletic freak. He's absolutely not having a career year on offense.
We're set on ST with kerley as the returner, we need to bring in proper receivers, AKA not patterson.
>One small detail, we were down 7-21, feeding on a steady diet of punts before Gabbert got many of these yards late in the 3rd Q
One small detail... Gabbert had 67 yards rushing when the 49ers were losing 21-14. Sure, it HAD been 21-7, but Gabbert got a good amount of his rushing in on a drive that scored a TD and had us down by only 7 points with over a quarter to go.
You're trying to skew the facts to paint Kaepernick as better than Gabbert, but you're really just grasping at straws and cherry picking.
Here are the temps for all home games last year:
>1/3/16 - 55 degree high
>12/20/15 - 54 degree high
>11/29/15 - 59 degree high
>11/8/15 - 61 degree high
>10/22/15 - 77 degree high (but 525pm start, sunset 621pm)
>10/18/15 - 71 degree high
>10/4/15 - 81 degree high
>9/14/15 - 74 degree high, 720pm start.
All temps from Weather Underground History
I'll give you 81 degrees on 10/4 is pretty hot for the Bay Area.
Which of those other October, December, and January games that range from 54-71 degrees are "hot as hell"?
I gift you Kodi and the ares wizard tutorial. You now have the resources for free tv on all stations and streaming of all live sports.
I'm not sure how it is looked upon in this subreddit but there is ways to watch Gamepass for nothing. I'm attempting it this season as firstrow is terrible for quality. It's also not worth dropping the money on Gamepass for me as I'm Canadian and the black out rules are atrocious (No night games/playoffs).
It requires a VPN to the Netherlands. I'm using Kepard (free for 365 days with 30 mins a day). You turn on the VPN launch the game you want to watch and then turn off the VPN. Gamepass is free in the Netherlands. So it is a bit of a grey area.
Copy and pasted from the ESPN article about his contract:
Because the contract was altered this season, the 49ers are not eligible to receive a compensatory pick if Kaepernick signs elsewhere after the season.
Those uniforms did suck, but at least they didn't make that horrible helmet change they threatened.
Schefter has a long time connection with the Shanahan’s.

Schefter was the first on the news of Kyle’s new deal in 2020. He also wrote Mike Shanahan's book along with him:

Yes. I watched the whole 2012 season like this. I installed FoxyProxy for Chrome, looked up a Dutch proxy, connected to the stream, let it buffer for a second and turned FoxyProxy off so I could watch the games with my regular internet speed.
While I agree with you, Kap did not start running until we played GB in the wildcard round, where he ran for 98 yards. Before that he made some EXTREMELY clutch throws, extending the plays a lot like Wilson. I will find them, one second. EDIT: @Bucs 3rd down http://gfycat.com/GranularPointedDavidstiger#
Well, I'm at work so I can't super focus on doing research. However, WebMD states that a head injury or an ear slap can cause an eardrum to rupture.
But since we know that simple blunt force trauma caused by punches doesn't cause it because MMA fighters and boxers don't sustain perforated eardrums that often, we can deduce that by head injury it likely means trauma from something much more forceful, like a car accident.
This means that if she sustained this injury in a physical altercation, it was likely the result of an open hand slap to the ear.
East side, under the luxury boxes. That would be sections 130-146 or 232-246.
Edit: It's Northern California, though. Even in the summer its not bad in the sun.

If you want to watch online, NFL Game Pass is the way to go. It has access to all the games live including preseason and postseason and high quality. Game Pass is blocked out in the US but NFL offers it for free if your internet connection is coming from Netherlands, New Zealand or Argentina.
I've had success with the VPN called Kepard, which has cheap rates and offers 30 minutes/day for free. The free 30 minutes is enough for the VPN because you only need to keep it active while you are first connecting to the stream or changing between games.
Here's what I did:
Create your trail account and install the software from Kepard.
Restart your PC, launch the Kepard software from the desktop and press the big blue power button to activate the VPN.
Test your connection by loading up a webpage.
Navigate to and press the green "Watch Now" button. If you don't see the watch now button than your VPN is not working correctly or its not forwarding traffic through Netherlands.
NFL Network should start streaming live and you'll have access to replays of prior season's games and old episodes of NFL's weekly shows.
At this point, you should be able to safely disconnect the VPN and your Game Pass stream will continue. Video quality should also improve after disabling the VPN.
Really nice beanie hat that unfortunately was a limited edition and is very expensive...
IIRC his new contract has a player option for a second season which helps him in 2 ways.
1 - what u/crackzombie661 said that if he is garbage he gets a second season which is player option.
2- if he plays well, he can leave next year and nothing we can do about it (we can't franchise tag him). Also if he does leave we do not get a comp pick.
Here's the Eagles-Browns trade:
Eagles | Browns |
---|---|
2016 1st (8) | 2016 1st (2) |
2016 3rd (77) | 2017 4th |
2016 4th (100) | |
2017 1st | |
2018 2nd |
Here is the Rams-Titans trade:
Rams | Titans |
---|---|
2016 1st (15) | 2016 1st (1) |
2016 2nd (43) | 2016 4th (113) |
2016 2nd (45) | 2016 6th (177) |
2016 3rd (76) | |
2017 1st | |
2017 3rd |
We don't have the draft picks to make a move like the Rams did. Those two seconds are like having another 1st. If we are outside the top-5, then we need to be within the top-10 for it even to be possible.
Even then, it feels like a bad move. You can't plan on everything going your way. You have to acknowledge injuries and the salary cap. The draft is the only way to build a team which wins consistently and, Madden moment, you need draft picks to do that.
I think moving up 2 spots if we are in the Top-5 makes sense; maybe moving to 2nd from 5th if he looks like that guy. If you are moving from 4th or 5th to 1st, that will mean giving up two firsts and some change. You do that when the guy is that guy.
Our current roster isn't one step away from success. We aren't in a position where we can sacrifice bringing in new, top-level talent to replenish the ranks. Even when you are good, you can't gamble on staying there. Look at ILB... Bowman's injured; Willis' foot is borderline and retires; draft Borland who retires; trade for Hodges who doesn't fully pan out; pick up Ray-Ray who gets injured; Bowman gets injured again... If you make big trades, you plan on your roster remaining stable. We have the luxury with all our cap room of building towards a stable roster but you don't get there if you don't have healthy guys you want to keep.
> He has been borderline elite with Gabbert throwing to him
wtf
http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/15853/year/2015
look at all his games individually. since gabbert started he has put up 50+ yards 4 times (one of those times came from a single catch), and the same for 20 or fewer. He is wildly inconsistent and has terrible hands.
Is Gabbert blameless? Nah. Is Gabbert a Tom Brady-level talent? Also no. He's decent at best. (Coincidentally, Alex Smith had the same level of stink about him until a- he had a defense so he wasn't playing from behind and b- a running game).
I loved Kaepernick and all the hype that came with him. He did some amazing things. But I believe it's safe to say that he's been flat figured out; NFL defenses are quick to learn...and unless he has drastically improved his QB skills, he won't make a lick of difference.
The ESPN snippet on it was hilarious as well.
"With about 11 minutes to go in the fourth quarter, the game was stopped because a fan ran on the field. The fan circled both teams about three times, instantly gaining more yards than the Rams did all night."
Sling appears to have a special promotion. Hulu Live also has one.
Adapt has some sick gear, no question! I was eyeballing this Joe Montana silhouette crewneck from Etsy. Only question would be the fit seeing as its unisex.
Joe had some injury issues and wasn't available to play for a good portion of time. I think he even missed a whole season at one point.
There is actually a really good book that goes into details around the Montana/Young dynamic.

Maybe slingtv online? There are free trials -
Or get an antenna off Amazon, the games will be national broadcasts for Fox or CBS on your local stations?
I use one like this, and I get 1080p for free
It’s not much to look at, but it works very well. Indoors or out, it’s very powerful. Installs in minutes.
This is the option I'm using. I've done the Kepard route and for my purposes this is much easier. Free one week trial and only $1.99 a month and gives access to Netflix UK for Breaking Bad.
I'm going to guess you're using Kepard. Some of the IP addresses don't seem to work, you may want to try a different one.
I'm using this service and have been streaming NFLN all morning so far.

Seattle is an all hype team. What I mean by that is that their dominance over us is all hype. They are a great team but they were molded according to our formula. We're a great team as well. I think position for position, we're just more talented up and down(I'll give them Earl, Cam and Sherman). Don't read into preseason. The Art of War is to be discrete and we play it the best. Remember we went 3 for 3 on turnovers our last 3 possessions of the game(NFCCG) in a place where Egos go to die and we lost on a bad decision on 1st down with plenty of playclock left(we were in the game the whole time). We're close, it's just a few small details as why we don't have 3 rings these past 3 season. That's a better situation then actually having debiliating holes in key areas on our team.
We share similar sentiments:

I can't wait to scream BLUDGEON at the bar this year everytime we sack those puny QBs. Our defense is going to be a machine this year.
I hope the niners role with it and make foam niner maces that say bludgeon on them.
Imagine this with a niners helm instead of skull in red with gold spikes
Edit: those clubs only cost $17 bucks, I would gladly play $20-$30 for one. http://www.amazon.com/Medieval-Spiked-Skull-Foam-Mace/dp/B009FCWN4U

Pocket Casts is a great podcast app if your on Android, allows you to download. Also believe it's available on iPhone as well.

Anyhow, either or, I am sure it will be fun if you can get an active crowd.
It's not only speculative, it directly contradicts a multitude of evidence. Willis for example has spoken positively of Harbaugh in the past (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/12/18/patrick-willis-talks-jim-harbaugh_n_4467367.html) and paid homage to Harbaugh as a part of his retirement announcement (https://instagram.com/p/0GhJKcQN7x).
Here's a map so you can see where the Caltrain station is in relation to the Stadium
Still one of the greatest football games ever.
It's even better since it's been updated for the current NFL season with all 32 teams.
If you're up for a similar game on mobile, take a look at Retro Bowl.
There's also a version of Retro Bowl for the Switch.
I used to have Sunday Ticket. Then in 2012 I moved to Montreal and got Gamepass, which is the same thing except significantly cheaper. When I moved back to the States in 2015 I was determined to continue using international Gamepass. I love football but I only really care to see the Niners and Redzone. I subscribed to NordVPN, set my connection to Mexico, and I’ve been a Gamepass subscriber even since. Lots of deals to get Nord really cheap. I can watch on my PC or my phone. I even use the iPhone HDMI dongle to connect my phone to the TV so I can watch on the big screen. I’ll never go back to Sunday Ticket.
unfortunately there is only one up on Draft breakdown from this season so far. It's a good one though. http://draftbreakdown.com/video/corey-davis-vs-central-michigan-2016/
If you can find the game Vs. Northern Illinois from a couple weeks ago he was insane.
awesome highlight from today I just saw http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=17859761
Corey Lemonier lined up at OLB for us more than he did DE. We can throw him in the same pile as Aaron Lynch and Eli Harold if you like. So that's 3 guys we've thrown into the mix to try and replace Aldon Smith. That's two third-rounders in Lemonier and Harold, and a fifth rounder in Lynch to try and replace a first rounder. And the fifth rounder is actually good, as you say. That's hardly doing a "shit job" at it.
Justin Smith, another first rounder. Fourth overall pick in 2001. I keep saying this: there's just no replacing JSmith no matter what. Tell me what player out there can just step in and fill those cleats? JSmith was a beast from his first season on the field in Cincinnati. Quinton Dial and Tank Carradine (a fifth rounder and a second rounder) were supposed to be together in the mix behind JSmith while RayMac held it down on the other side. RayMac couldn't act right and the team assumed responsibility by letting him go, and that was a blindside. Quinton Dial was actually good in 2015 and performed about as well as RayMac ever did. The Tank Experiment hasn't worked out for us so far and is proving to be a bad return on investment, unfortunately.
Yeah Pears was terribad and now he's not on the team anymore. Trent Brown took Anthony Davis' job out from under him. That's replacing first-round talent with a seventh-round pick, who is turning out to be pretty good. That's not a "shit job."
Bosa has played one game and you're using that to judge? OK. Chargers are no better than the 9ers are at 1-4 and lost that game with Bosa in, if you hadn't noticed.
Look, this roster is lacking talent at key positions that's true. Baalke and the personnel department are responsible. But don't confound the state of the roster with the win/loss record. The entire team is responsible for that.
Workaround: Use a virtual card such as privacy which will let you use any billing address (such as one in the greater LA area).
There are three possible issue issues with this:
I live about 30 miles away from Lambeau. To reference an old Friends episode, wear every piece of clothing you own...all at the same time. Heavy mittens, hat, boots are a must. Seating is pretty tight, which helps keep you warm, but doesn't allow for much movement. Something like this is a good idea: https://www.amazon.com/HotHands-Hand-Warmers-Odorless-Activated/dp/B072M25LW9/ref=sr_1_7?crid=2UGN5D6BV9FRR&keywords=hand%2Bwarmers&qid=1642455604&sprefix=hand%2Caps%2C153&sr=8-7&th=1. Also, it's a good idea to keep as much of your face covered as possible. With the forecasted temps, if there is any wind at all there is a serious rick of frostbite. BANG BANG!!
> (1) leaves both feet prior to contact to spring forward and upward into his opponent, and (2) uses any part of his helmet
that AND portion necessary is what we were discussing, which cleary didnt happen as seen here
We couldn't afford either one anyway. Not for very long.
Anyway, contract issues aside, forget what I just said, I'd take Crabtree all day without question. Just look at this shit. With our front 7 cornerbacks are replaceable, you can't replace Crabs unless you're drafting in the top half or you get very lucky in the draft. In a passing friendly system, or even with a full season with Kap, he'll put up elite numbers.
Right before the half, we stopped the Hawks on 4th down on like the 40 yard line. We had 30 seconds and 3 time outs to get into field goal range and get 3 points. But Carlos Rogers gives a little shove to the receiver pretty much immediately after the ball fell incomplete and the refs called unnecessary roughness and forced us to just kneel on the ball.
It was a ridiculous call.
EDIT: This was the play. The shove wasn't as quick as I thought it was, but it was still a ticky-tacky call.
no, he did not. he clarified those comments and dispelled that. people twisted his words. he said kaep isn't even healthy enough to be in the conversation to start and then didn't he later imply that Kaep isn't on the field because he's not up to par as a QB. here's an article on it. chip basically says colin isn't as good as he once was and isn't worthy of being starter yet. http://www.espn.com/blog/san-francisco-49ers/post/_/id/19986/chip-kelly-colin-kaepernick-isnt-no-2-because-of-weight edit: nice downvoting of facts, you got proven wrong and can't handle it. chip is here to win games, if kaep was going to help him do that, he'd start him. he's seen the guy play more than any of us yet armchair coaches on here know more. Keep the dream alive though. Kaep's brain will eventually recover and he'll be able to read a defense and gain pocket presence.
Hey,
I went ahead and uploaded the condensed version of the game (~45 minutes) onto my Dropbox. I'm pretty sure that's the one that's been posted a bunch that recently got removed off of youtube.
I suppose you could watch it right from the dropbox website, but go ahead and download it (button in upper right) if you want to keep it. I'll leave it up there for a few weeks at least but I may need to make room for other stuff someday. it's about 1GB.

I still have a glorious 49ers cardigan, but it's a bid old and some of the strings are pulling. I love it still. Sadly, it's no longer really sold anywhere, but this was it:

The other sad thing is that I don't really wear sweaters. I'm a naturally warm person in that regard, and being from SoCal doesn't help in the "need to wear a sweater" department.
Check out the live online audio broadcast of the game where every time Beathard gets sacked or throws a pick I'll take a shot. This could get ugly.

HD antenna is legit
I highly recommend this one to anyone within broadcast range. I get signals from stations hundreds of miles away. Installs in minutes. Works indoors or out
Looks large in the pics on amazon but it’s pretty darn compact once built. Like 24” wide and 36” tall
Don't bring a camera bag for sure. And if you got a huge lens, they will probably stop you. Friend of mine was able to take in his Panasonic GH3 but they wouldn't let him bring the bag. Not sure what lens he had on it.
I've brought this camera to plenty of games, they are fine with it.
Better yet, buy Matt Maiocco’s book released today: Letters to 87
