But it looks like they might have made a mistake with their most recent update and limited it on way too many devices. I run a fairly modern device and don't see it on the app store.
Already posted this on u/Pcuk_lcuk's post, but its there
Just seems they may have limited a ton of modern devices with their recent update, only question is whether it was intentional or not.
Definitely is available in Aus for Android, I am using it currently. Is this the one you were looking at? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yahoo.mobile.client.android.fantasyfootball&hl=en
Anyhow, either or, I am sure it will be fun if you can get an active crowd.
Yahoo consolidated all of their fantasy apps in the football one last year. It's a little buggy but good enough.
It is iOS only for now. Last update for Android was 10.13 and did not include these features. Android link and iOS link for reference. Thanks to /u/JonesWaffles for pointing this out
Besides that I don't think it would be profitable or appropriate, I would have to change my game's maturity level to medium content. Not that it matters as many games completely ignore the content policy.
>Nope, very few older devices ended up getting lineage ROMs
My tablet is over 5 years old and it has lineage support.

While you may be right in terms of official support, plenty of devices get unofficial support.
What doesn't get support is off brand or devices with unlockable bootloaders.
>That doesn't mean third party apps for third party services like fantasy football
Because I was curious about your comment I did a wider search on one of your examples, Fantasy Football
Started with a search for "Fantasy Football" on Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=fantasy%20football
I sorted by number of installs and went down the list and included apps with more than 1 million installs. Here are the top of those apps (linked to Play Store app)
Yahoo Fantasy Sports - Requires Android 4.1
Sleeper Fantasy - Requires Android 4.1
Fantasy Football Draft Wizard - Requires Android 4.1
Draft Kings - Requires Android 4.4
ESPN Fantasy Football - Requires Android 5
CBS Sports Fantasy - Requires Android 5
3 of the apps support Android 4.1, which is 7 years old
1 of the apps support Android 4.4 which is 6 years old
The last 2 apps support Android 5 which is 5 years old
I see from your post history you do Fantasy Sports yourself, is yours one of the listed apps or if not which app do you use?
This search supports my stance that devices 5+ years old continue to be supported by both Google, and in this case 3rd party Fantasy Football apps.
This is consistent with OP stating all the apps they checked required Android 4 or 5:
>Looking at Google Play it seems that most apps currently support 4.4 (Kit Kat) and a few require 5 (Lolipop). From a quick search I did I didn't see any having higher requirements.
If you can get over 5+ years from a device that's a good return on investment from my personal opinion.
