This really breaks it down. The easiest thing is to disable Flash, use FireFox, and use the extension NoScript. If you must use flash, still use NoScript and firefox.
The reason for this is that Flash and some other languages have big exploits that allow attackers to place malicious commands (scripts) into your browser. After a couple of hidden steps your computer could be installing programs without your knowledge, and running those programs with your 'permission'.
NoScript makes it so that every site, and even every advertisement on every site, must ask your permission before running their scripts. It's easy enough to deny all that until the site itself runs into a problem.

Get a Security Bar! They are cheap as hell, work better than a chair and are an absolute must-have security accessory for anyone who lives in an apartment. These keep people who may have keys (landlord, former tenants, particularly sneaky people, etc.) from opening your door.

Honestly, the Verbal and Somatic restrictions come up in-game almost exclusively in relation to being bound and gagged. They’re just a mechanical way to keep a player from magic-ing themselves out of any situation - binding and gagging a Wizard incapacitates them gameplay-wise just like taking away a Fighter’s weapons and armor does. So yeah, a tied-up Wizard is a pretty useless Wizard. Incidentally, the mechanical explanation for Material components is that they exist when they make sense (e.g., you need snow to make a magical snow golem) or as a cost to balance out a powerful spell (e.g., a “Blow Up All Bad Guys” spell that requires five gallons of unicorn blood and express written permission of the NFL).

I hiiiiighly recommend Steve Jackson's Sorcery.
It was originally an adventure book, but adapted to mobile by Inkle, and they did a great job. It is $5, which seems high for a mobile game at first, but considering the replayability, polish, and plain awesome story, it's well worth the price. (Note this is only part 1 of 4, but there's easily hours of content in each part.)

It's really difficult to get facts on the case, as I said, the town of Spencer likes to keep it under wraps, and if you didn't grow up near here it's as though it never happened at all. There were six murders/suicides total that happened in this time period during January of 1899. All the bodies were found around 6:00 in the evening.
Henry Hammond committed suicide by gun to he head a few days before his wedding to Iris Prouty. So, dude's good. Sounds like the person is getting everything to just cache in your RAM so when the ram refreshes it's gone. Hence who your PC was on when you got home (just covering their tracks)
Grab a USB and a copy of dumpit so the next time something weird happens you can grab a copy of what's running in the memory. a hex editor can help you open/read it.
Was the PC just locked? or was it on the logon screen? Person could have just booted it to a Live USB and mounted your drive and did a DDump to get everything.

As to the origins of "demon": etymonline suggests something akin to what you were saying, but without mention of Sumerian. Sumerian seems to be a language isolate, so if the word came from there, it would be borrowed. This is unlikely, as there is a corresponding root to the various forms of the word. The PIE root given does not immediately bring to mind (for me at least) a Sanskrit word of shared derivation, or a word that has similar connotations from an analogous root.

I think these are your best bets as far as humane large animal traps go. That way if it is just some crazy vagrant you can at least be assured no harm will come to it. I live in iowa where you can shoot to kill if something is on your property, human or otherwise, I don't know if that's how it works in bama. If you do decide to shoot though, you must kill it. The only time that law fails here is if you shoot but don't kill, it's weird I know but basically it comes down to a dead man has a weak defense. Lastly, I don't know what bait this thing would be attracted to but I would consider a deer leg and some fresh animal blood. A simple steak may do the trick though. No matter what you catch, do not open the trap your self, be it bear, coyote, human, or ghoul, don't act like a tough guy. Call the sherrif, call the dnr.

There is, but it's hardly ever properly diagnosed, if at all. There is also a misconception that children always grow out of it, but it's not always the case.
I don't know for sure if I have it, though, as I was never officially diagnosed, but I have all the symptoms so I suspect that I do, especially with a family history of it.
Maybe the inattentive spectrum works differently? I'm not sure.

That doesn't mean she wholly believes she is a pony or really thinks like one. People do it all the time, imitating their friends. And it's been shown scientifically that people who change their thought patterns consistently can train themselves to have a different personality. I will also tell you a personal example. I was discussing migraines and cluster headaches with some people after I saw this reddit post, and whether any of them might have experienced migraines and what it is like. I didn't really understand how a migraine is possible, since I have never had one, even in my worst circumstances of sleep loss and lack of brain blood flow. Unfortunately I did not save the discussion, but the way it was explained to me was completely unrelatable to me. I had never thought people could think that way. The few people I talked with that had experienced migraines agreed with the explanation.
My point is that you can't really understand or explain emotions or reasoning unless you have experienced the events yourself. The human brain is not capable of imagining things out of thin air with no previous assumptions, which is why, if you see a child talking about something completely unrelatable to them, then perhaps there is a lot that we don't understand yet about human development. Science is done using a methodical series of steps to find out things, in which all ideas should be taken in to account.

I think having someone edit on future stories is a great idea. It's hard to notice even the most glaring of typos when you have a particular sentence in your head. I tend to glaze right over them. I think there are parts where I could have been a lot more concise as well, but I have a tendency to be overly descriptive sometimes. It's something to work on and hopefully improve. I just picked up S.K's On Writing not too long ago and I can't wait to start reading it! As far as wondering if I too have schizophrenia, the answer is yes. But so far I haven't exhibited any clinical symptoms. I've been diagnosed with PTSD and social anxiety disorder but nothing beyond that.
Not too long ago though I did find out some strange things. It turns out that the father of my grandma (the one featured in the story) committed suicide as well her brother. It's more than a little creepy to tell you the truth.

So a few strange things happened last night. I went to a friend's house to hang out and there is a park across the street. There was a swing that was just swinging, I took a video and I'll upload it somewhere later. I also saw a man in black standing near a truck, he just was there and then he wasn't. Oddly enough, a fanfic: The Finale of the Ultimate Meta Mega Crossover is a cosmic horror story that actually tells you some of those things men were not meant to know. I had trouble getting to sleep after reading it, and for a couple days afterward, I would occasionally burst into nervous, half-hysterical laughter as a new bit of horrifying comprehension dawned on me.
Not overtly terrifying or squicky, though, and YMMV about how scary it is.
Good find! I actually x-posted this thread to r/Ottawa to see if anyone there would be able to name the street the house was on (seeing as everyone there would be locals, pretty much). I also found THIS article from 1956 about the crash. Now, the house I lived in was in the general vicinity, but not very close to the crash site or anything. Although based on the context of the article, I can see how my family would point at this as a possible catalyst for the events in the home.

Apparently I was mistaken about the new streetview showing it leveled. I must have been basing that on the fact that I did drive there and it is gone, except for the archway. I streetviewed again and it still shows up.

To the left you can see the weird archway, and the slightest remainder of the gingerbread trim on the house. The weird peach spot of paint is interesting to me, because the house was peach when my mom and I stopped by when I was a teen and we spoke to the then-inhabitants. I am not sure if that is the same color and there was an attempt to repaint it and stopped, or what.
Software like this will let you turn any windows laptop and a web cam into a full out CCtv system for free. You could get a couple IP cams (like these ) and set one up to watch your door from the outside. I would be happy to help you st up the software too if needed just PM me. I spy looks intimidating but I use it in my office as an after hours motion detector and it works great.
I mainly remember it from psychology class a few years ago, although it seems the more common phrase is knock on effect, but it is more or less the same thing.

Just one thing: Your story feels very conversational. Try reading the story aloud and see if phrases like "My brother would get inexplicably angry, and my mom would get inexplicably scared, etc, etc" feel natural when you say them. Great stuff, but it feels like it could use a second draft.

Hmm, If you can, send the original picture to one of my fake email addresses: that might be a bit easier. Also a few tips i'd like to share. If you respond to any of his text messages or emails, your current location can be traced from that. Although its fairly hard to do, it is possible for someone with adequate knowledge to turn on the cameras and microphone of your phone, and pick up information that way as well (What your wearing, objects in your house etc). Also if you want to keep your current location hidden when posting on here, or anywhere else for that matter, always use a proxy. Hotspot Shield is the one i use, and i'm pretty happy with it.
