I use Randochat. I get about 400 new chats every day, and upload around 5-7 posts each month. For a girl with an active profile, it's pretty usual.
Please do try it yourself! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.random.chat.app Put on a girl's pic and try to do what I do. If you need and help with the app please do contact me.
If you still for whatever reason don't believe me, there's not much I can do about that. You're still welcome to enjoy their comedic value though.

I'm actually happy you put the OOPS there. You know why? Because a friend of mine came across your post and told me about it. And why should I care? Because I designed the damn thing :)
Some time ago I made an app for the Slack platform called "/oops" and this is the logo I designed for it, your post is how I realized it's the first result in Google when searching for the word "oops".
There's a massive following around natural body care. Some of it is incredibly useful. Personally, my Mother who has had bad joint pain for the past several years due to a car accident makes a tea from dried Turmeric to great affect because of the curcumin in it. She swears by it.
I haven't said anything about it because I know it's been used in India for several hundred years for this purpose.
But one thing I always impress on her when she jumps on the bandwagon for these new "fads" in homeopathic medicine;
Me: What do you call homeopathic medicine that works? Mom: ??? Me: Medicine.
It usually brings her back down to reality. Especially when she got a book on Amazon about how highly concentrated food grade H2O2 would cure every single illness you could ever get. Including cancer. I showed her research on exactly how much of the H2O2 it would take to kill her if it were improperly diluted. Needless to say she stopped reading that book.
Except he absolutely was not.
"It's going to be -20 to -30 WITH the windchill"
"-20 yes WITH the windchill, nothing shows anything close to -30..."
The real feel includes wind chill amongst other factors.
I'm reminded of a line of dialogue in a book I recently read (well, listened to). To expound on the plot summary on Amazon, the protagonist awakens to find that, while he was dead, the US became a theocratic state. Cryogenic preservation was ruled to be blasphemous, preserved people were declared to be dead, and all related assets were confiscated and sold off, including the preserved people.
The protagonist observes that it seems like it the proper action would have been to just bury the people, to which the other character replies, "Did theologues limit themselves to logical or consistent behavior in your time?"
I laughed so hard at that line - especially how it's delivered by the narrator - that I nearly had to pull my car off the road.
The most annoying thing is that there are hundreds of small racist things like this that do exist, but this isn’t one of them.
This aspect of colour film is very well documented http://www.openculture.com/2018/07/color-film-was-designed-to-take-pictures-of-white-people-not-people-of-color.html
Making up stuff like in the original post serves to discredit examples of actual racism by proxy
Exactly. I'm not defending the anti-vaxxer, but a quick google search shows that some women do still ovulate.
Exactly. People seem to think this is some sort of voodoo magic. You can hold an egg up to cheep flashlight and check how many yolks are inside (and check on the development of the chicken if you're raising them to hatch). People have been doing this for so long it's actually called "candling an egg". Modern egg companies have been doing this for ages to make sure that a more developed egg doesn't slip in the mix. They can and have been pulling out the double-yolk eggs for ages. Some cultures consider a double yolk to be good luck - maybe they were selling them at a markup to different grocery stores.

The truck is missing it's Mansfield bar. The Mansfield bar is a metal bar on the back of all trucks that prevent this type of accident. It was named after Jayne Mansfield who died the same way as this driver.
The moral of the story is that all trucks should have a Mansfield bar.

You need to install Reddit Enhancement Suite
Once installed, reopen Reddit. Find an /r/the_donald post (shouldn't be too hard) and hover your mouse over the '/r/the_donald' link on the front page. A sub menu should pop-up with various options. Click the 'Filter' button to remove the sub. I just did it last night and it's been a breath of fresh air not seeing all the bullshit from that sub.
Social engineering is considered a form of hacking from what I remember of the CompTIA Sec+

That's not why people say he's a shill. People say he's a shill because of stuff like this.. I mean, a quick peruse of his comment history raises a lot of flags and questions. Sleekery literally pops up at any mention of Monsanto and aggressively defends Monsanto, in particular, and GMOs. I mean, just search Monsanto in their comment history and see how many hits you get. Sleekery is often in GMO and Monsanto threads gaslighting. They often attack users who bring any evidence on anything negative of Monsanto. They post a lot of questionable science and evidence always in defence of Monsanto. More importantly, looking at their comments, their intent is always to move perception of users, usually by attacking anyone posting anything negative of Monsanto, posting a lot Monsanto paid research, and seeding confusion and doubt about questionable activities of Monsanto.
Nest time you see any Reddit thread about Monsanto or GMOs, pay attention to people aggressively defending Monsanto. There are a few of them. Read their comment histories and look for them in other Monsanto threads. You will start seeing these same few users in every single thread, offering the same company lines and posting the same Monsanto paid research. In every thread.
The greatest trick the Devil pulled was convincing people he doesn't exist. Likewise, we know astroturfers do exist. They are real. Sleekery ticks every single box of what an astroturfer looks like. If they aren't being paid for this, then they clearly should be as they invest a lot of effort into manipulating public opinion on Reddit of Monsanto and GMOs.
Nice karma bait OP. But that's actually wrong.

> I feel Genesis is given as poetry
Hey! Just happened to run across this and wanted to chime in as a sort of FYI thing. I'm a major in bible languages (currently doing my master's work, dreading the thesis paper), and it's important to know that from a grammatical standpoint the opening chapters of Genesis are definitely not poetry. Biblical Hebrew uses different grammar structures (down to specific kinds of verbs) in poetry and prose. However you choose to take that is fine, but Genesis is not poetry. It does contain poetry ("this is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh"), but those make up very small portions of the book.
If you're interested in seeing some really in-depth scholarly work on this, check out the book "Coming to Grips with Genesis". I can PROMISE you'll disagree with some of what the book says, which is fine, but it makes a very good case for taking Genesis at face value in terms of how you read it (how that affects your theology is up to you), and it makes this case based on some really stellar work in the language and grammar (among other topics such as the history of theology). Like I said, you'll likely disagree with most of it, but even with that being the case it presents some clear evidences for Genesis just meaning what it says.
Anyway, wanted to pass this along because I see the poetry argument pretty frequently and it's a pretty weak one. So take this as just a friendly, "hey, you might look into this," sort of thing!
Have a good one!

Although they also provide a link to another article that states:
>The National Do Not Call Registry allows you to register your phone number as a do not call number for all telemarketers, so that you don't have to tell them all, individually and ever-so-politely, to "Please put me on your do not call list."
That’s not even an alpha channel miss, it’s literally just the background of the image they stole the tattoo from. People used to make games without the monetization strategies almost literally every mobile game now uses.
I'm not saying I have a solution, but almost every mobile game fits well into /r/assholedesign in maybe the worst possible way.
You fundamentally cannot design a good game around the popular mobile monetization strategies that the games use. It basically depends on putting up psychological and time barriers so that the < 1% of gamers (known as whales) who have some extreme need for instant gratification pay money for what are essentially in-game time credits.
Because I do like games, I make what ends up being the absolutely horrid mistake of downloading maybe a half dozen top-rated mobile games a month, and it's the same thing almost every single time. There's an initial portion of the game that plays like an actual game, almost, and then artificial barriers put in place to draw out the addictive behaviors of compulsive microtransaction-feeding whales.
And then you have a game like Data Wing which I wish DID have paid content because I would have gladly paid to get more out of the thing. The mobile market is completely fracked.

I get the point you are making, and I do agree with it for the most part. But the article, which is her own words and quotes, basically is 100% discussing how her parent's (dad specifically) were completely unrecepetive to helping her. I had read this article prior to seeing this Reddit post and was extremely confused by her tweet. Because, her main point seems to be that her parents, due to their culture, were completely unwilling to help her mental illness as a youth. She talks about 9/11 happening and then on the same day her dad calls and demands she delivers a package. She tries to explain she is having a mental breakdown and he basically just tells her to STFU and deliver the package.
After that point she talks about deciding to take her medical care into her own hands because she was an adult at that point. At no point did she talk about her parents realizing their errors. Her dad was told by school staff to come pick her up from China because she was in the midst of severe psychosis.
It is definitely a nuanced situation, but her own words are much more "biting" towards her dad/mom than the subtitle even implies.
Love how you are getting downvoted by people who didn't read the article. Did she say the exact words in the subtitle? No. Did she make those exact points in different words during the article? Absolutely.
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/asian-american-mental-illness_n_5cacad09e4b02e7a705dae97
I hope anyone considering downvoting will read the article. She repeatedly talks about her parents and cultural stigma ruining her youth. There is nothing in the subtitle that goes against what she says. I'd go as far to say that the subtitle succinctly summarizes the whole article she wrote. Her parents were not supportive, and her classmates were monsters. All of this connected to the culture of the people she grew up surrounded by (at least that is the point she is making).
I can see why she would be not happy about the subtitle, especially if she thinks her parent's are going to read the article. But in the end it simply is summarizing exactly what she said in 1-2 sentences.
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/asian-american-mental-illness_n_5cacad09e4b02e7a705dae97
The article is quite clear that she blames her parents and the culture for her crappy youth life and lack of support. I am not a fan of clickbait, but her own quouted words say the exact things that subtitle is summarizing. The idea that them being Asian is the problem is solely connected to her own beliefs and statements in the article. Whether you or I agree with that is irrelevant.
I get why she wouldn't want such a clear "My parents sucked" as the subtitle, but that is the exact point she made in the article repeatedly.

This part is interesting:
> When I asked him which writers were assigned in the class, the only person he named—and complained about—was Guardian columnist Jessica Valenti.
The Guardian has been running a series on the abuse/trolling they get via the comments section. Jessica Valenti is described as "the Guardian contributor most targeted online":
> When the Guardian examined the 1.4 million comments that have been blocked by moderators since 1999, they found that eight of the 10 writers receiving the most blocked comments were women, and topping the list was … well, me.
For a not too great comparison, I took these photos from a friend's backyard:
This is using a low quality 500mm lens on a tripod.
This is freehanding the camera through the telescope eyepiece (very frustrating)
Even if it hadn't been proven to be stolen, I'd have my doubts, but with a proper adapter for the camera to fit onto the telescope, it might be possible to get similar quality to the claimed pic from a relatively cheap telescope.
The things that would make me doubt it is that Jupiter, compared to its moons, is extremely bright. Getting the bands to show up so clearly while also getting the moons would probably require multiple exposures at the very least.
Yeh that'll do it for sure! :D
Seriously though, worst possible thing you could do for a head injury, any neck up injury actually. Factoring in C fractures obviously, but of it's a dead drop (head hitting the ground unprotected) you could end up with Coup-Contrecoupesque injuries where the bridging veins rip inside your brain case, furthering a bleed.
Or a Cervical Haemotoma - any kind of Haemotoma for that matter - gets aggro and turns your insides into a high pressure blood hose from your Carotid or similar.
Best way to describe it would be that it's an extremely customisable and feature rich chrome clone.

The big draw for me is that it's Chrome without the bundled flash software. I don't like flash and this keeps it away from me.

And Zostavax only reduces risk of shingles by about 50%, and lasts just 5 years.
Nothing you described is a side effect of a vaccine, that's why you're being downvoted. Also it doesn't really contribute anything.
I'm not defending that guy.

Why in the everliving fuck are we trying to divide by number of pizzas with a made up price to see if this is true or not. How about we look at average sales by a pizza store.
https://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/10/14/top-franchises-investing-in-dominos-pizza.aspx
Dominoes- 8 billion in sales across 11,000 stores, so about 727,000 per year, he said 4 years. This means 2.9 mil per store over the 4 year timeframe, so you would need 7-8 of these to make 22million in sales across the four years. If you believe 7-8 is a small pizza chain (pretty small compared to the monsters like dominoes) than its believable, if you say damn 7-8 pizza places that is a pretty sizable operations, then you reject the comparison.

Dude I'm not arguing with you, it's just common for women to have to have a period at some point. Congrats to your wife. Chill.
Edit: I also would bet that it depends on the type and strength of the birth control, as many of my friends who have had this problem are on the low end dose, while someone who is taking it explicitly to miss periods may take a stronger dose. Either way, it's very common.
Edit two: just for funsies I looked it up
"What are the drawbacks to delaying your period?
Breakthrough bleeding — bleeding or spotting between periods — is common when you use birth control pills to delay or prevent periods, especially during the first few months. Breakthrough bleeding typically decreases over time, however, as your body adjusts to the new regimen."
Personally I didn't know that it decreases over time, so that's cool.
What? No. Just look at the numbers of animals vs. humans
I will not deny innocent humans have probably died in the making of my: clothing, transportation, electronics, etc. and the fact that is happening is very very wrong. We can care about both human and non-human animals. Anyone who can suffer deserves to be considered.
I'm not sure if the OP in the thread was lying. When you search for someone's name in Google, when the LinkedIn results come up, they will show the whole page text from LinkedIn, including the "People Also Searched..." text.
There is a person called Ed Kolb, who is searched for at the same time as this OP guy, who has this as his profile:
Now, if it turns out I'm correct, I'd humbly apologise to the OP, may be even buy him some reddit gold. Otherwise, if I'm wrong, I hope I've shown there might have been another explanation.
'Street cred' is what sells this confidence scam. Other users can see how old they are and how much karma they have, especially if they have RES installed and our comment histories are also publicly accessible.
Brand new accounts are too obvious for shilling to be effective. It can easily backfire and end up very publicly getting called out which can often have real fallout. The guy they bought accounts from had a sliding scale of options from fairly new/low karma for cheap to use on less aware subs, up to older ones with plausible comment histories he calls 'strong accounts' good enough not to raise suspicions in subs where people know to look for these shenanigans.
Reddit accounts for 20% of internet traffic in the US, this is a massive battleground for 'hearts and minds' in these trying times.

Yes it is, they perform 500-600 updates a year. https://moz.com/google-algorithm-change >Each year, Google changes its search algorithm around 500–600 times. While most of these changes are minor, Google occasionally rolls out a "major" algorithmic update (such as Google Panda and Google Penguin) that affects search results in significant ways.
I prefer Kodi. It's got pretty much the same features, but I think Kodi looks nicer (i.e. it's far more customizable); and I like the fact that it's open source and completely free. Hell, the latest version even has a little bit of my work running in it!
It also supports UPNP streaming, but the device it's playing on needs to be able to decode the video. There's no server-side transcoding in Kodi.
If you want to, you can even connect Kodi to a Plex server!
You would NOT have to flash it every time, unless your firmware has not been written with that in mind... As I've already mentioned, every layer can control the speed, and the hardware is the lowest.

It's funny hiw you easily gloss over how suppliments aren't regulated and don't have to even undergo efficacy studies to be sold. It's kind of important, especially when it involves your health.
That's funny to me, bc colorism is already a thing related to racism. It's portraying darker skinned people as inferior to lighter skinned people, even within the same race. You can see it in, for example, the cartoon <em>The Proud Family</em>.
Yeah.. cuz this math is definitely horseshit. If "all in compute costs" were <$.01 per hour... we would have a completely different story playing out in public cloud.
Look at this: https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/pricing/on-demand/
Amazon charges $.03 to $6.53 per hour just for the compute costs of a server. That doesn't include storage, licensing, bandwidth egress (huge for Netflix), support, load-balancing, DNS, security, SNS costs, etc. The list goes on and on. And, EC2 instances are cheaper than a lot of customers can do internally.
I don't know how much of Netflix application runs on EC2 vs. K8s/Docker...but, since they are older than most streaming companies...I wouldn't be surprised if a lot is still just EC2 instances. And, I don't have any more reason to believe that Netflix uses 1 server to service 10 customers than I do to believe that they use 10 instances to service 1 customer. Actually, their application is probably a bunch of micro-services streaming individual components to a single session.
If I had to bet... the 4 miles estimate was a lot closer than the $.01 estimate. But, whatever helps everyone feel good, I suppose.
Some people do. I had a roommate who wanted to sell a camera and she got an offer from someone claiming to be in a city a few hundred miles away (red flag #1) and he wanted to pay for it with a cashier's check (red flag #2) and he was a businessman so he'd get his assistant to handle the transaction (red flag #3). Luckily, some shred of self-preservation instinct told her to show me and our other roommate the email from the guy and ask what we thought. We told her it looked shady as hell and I showed her this page that explains this exact scam and she acted like I was mean for bringing up all these complications and this exchange happened:
me: "He's going to send you a fake check. There is no possible outcome here where you get the money."
her: "But I just really want to sell this camera."
It turned into a bit of an argument and we never discussed it again so it's possible she went through with it and got scammed.
Also my friend's dad fell for the fake phone call from Windows scam and he paid for their "antivirus software." Luckily his wife found out and sorted that out.
A lot of people are naive.
Here, but you have to use google translate. Bit you're interested in is:
> А за те же действия, совершенные на границе или в храмах, игрокам грозит лишение свободы на два и три года соответственно.
Which can be translated as
> Also for the same actions performed around country borders and in churches you can get two and three years of prison time accordingly.
So two years for "near the border" and three years for church. Why does it surprise you, do you not remember Pussy Riot?
Chao is so good! I've been getting blocks of nut cheese from companies like Punk Rawk Labs and Miyoko's (photo). It's so good, I can easily eat a full block in a sitting, then cry myself to sleep covered in cracker crumbs.
The video probably wasn't corrupted completely. If you played it on VLC I bet you it would still work. If you still have the video file, try dragging it into VLC and I bet you it will play.
I don't think he claimed there is no such word as wracked.
Also, I'm not quite sure where Google got that past tense from. Dictionary.com gives us a good hint though:
> rack or wrack > [rak] > noun > 1. > Also called cloud rack. a group of drifting clouds. > verb (used without object) > 2. > to drive or move, especially before the wind.
In the main definition, we can see that /u/HelpingOutPops is correct. In the way that /u/Tuxheia used the word, it should be "racked":
> to torture; distress acutely; torment:
> His body was racked with pain.
So, conclusion: /u/HelpingOutPops was correct. In this context, "wracked" is wrong and "racked" is right.
It’s not the exact design, but this is what you’re seeing. Bride usually gets a white sash while bridesmaids get a different color sash. The black one is definitely “Bride Tribe,” it’s only one word after Bride and not two like “To Be.”
Sounds like your head and your heart just have a bit of a disagreement then, I understand. It’s so hard to hear how damaging the meat and dairy industry is to animals. The best thing to do is simply not to contribute to it.
Do you buy meat?
Animals are killed long before their natural life expectancy. The flesh inside their bodies would not be optimal for a meat eaters idea of a nice meal if they were killed at their actual life expectancy age.
Regardless, even if an animal died happily, in no pain, at a ripe old age or let’s say somehow humane slaughter has been invented (even though this is literally an oxymoron and impossible)...it still wouldn’t mean that we have the right to take an animals flesh. They are individuals, not commodities.
Some people find that tricky to get their heads around, if they don’t truly love animals. That’s a vegan’s stance.
But there are plenty other great reasons to stop eating meat, like the fact that animal agriculture is the result of nearly 90% of deforestation of the Amazon. Or that nearly half the plastic waste in the oceans is from discarded fishing nets etc.
Or the health reasons might be more your thing, if animal rights aren’t. Lots of great reasons 🙏🏻
Edit: ps, you might like this book - the animals are treated as proper individuals and not exploited for what we can take from them, it’s really lovely.
man its cheap as heck online.
amazon, 15 bucks for 1.5 months supply.
This is totally within my wheelhouse. For all intents and purposes, there is no such thing as "talent." It's better to think of talent as a subjective opinion someone gives (I.e. "you're so talented!").
Nearly everything is a skill because humans learn by modeling or trial and error. Skills are built via mental representations. Artistic endeavors are skills because anyone can do them and improve immensely.
I encourage you to read Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise by K.Anders Ericsson.
The moral of the story is that no one is innately born with any skill, hence there is really no such thing as talent in that way. Just subjective opinions.
Y'all are talking about two different things. There's Google Opinion Rewards that's surveys and such and uses your location history sometimes and there's Google Local Guides that prompts you to leave reviews for places and gives you points.
Yeah... I don't exactly have a ton of time to game with my job but I'm still at almost 6400 hours played time.. on steam alone.
On Dota 2, a game released 847 days ago (July 2013) I've got 3,238.1 hours; and I didn't play that for half a year. It's not unreasonable to rack up 9.5k hours with weekend play sessions of 14+ hours on sat/sun and 5-6 hours every other night.
You are just flat out wrong here. I don't know what else to tell you.

Luckily these cars all have sensors that alert the driver to low oil or they would all be in the scrapyard.
I can 100% assure you that an audi 2.0 TFSI with broken piston rings that drinks a quart every ~400 miles will not blow blue smoke.
> Did you win the Putnam? > If not, please don't be "bolder" than this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ravi_Vakil
> "Did you win the Putnam?" > Yes, I did.
> Damn. I'm totally busted. > Just the once, though, huh?
> Yes, only once. But I actually consider my first score on the Putnam (53, ranked 53.5th in North America) to be my most impressive performance on the Putnam, considering that I was only 14 years old at the time.
To be fair, she probably does it quite a bit. For instance, see this post, then click this link.
noun
> You think it was hate speech?
He doesn't have to think it. It's literally the dictionary definition of hate speech.
Not at all. I don't bother creeping people's page unless they really stand out for some reason and I give enough fucks on the subject matter to waste the time. With RES all I have to do is hover over a user's name and it at least tells me how long they've been registered and how much karmas they have.
Depending on the context of a post or thrust of the comments, other users may want to dig further into someone a bit to see where they are coming from. If it is obvious bullshit it gets posted to one of many subs dedicated to calling people out. This... is how people end up the subject of a post on r/quityourbullshit
Reddit accounts for 20% of all internet traffic in the US and is disproportionately skewed towards younger folk of voting age. This is a huge battleground for hearts and minds, especially now in the age of fake news and Trumpism. This is not a drill.
Also, the reddit experience without RES is like using a donkey to pull your car around town while sitting on the roof instead of gassing it up and driving it. https://redditenhancementsuite.com/
Wow, I thought I was going crazy for a second, but then i checked camelcamelcamel and saw that indeed this morning the price was $12.
Maybe amazon saw my comment and changed the price to reflect inflation LOL

The word perhaps is literally defined as meaning maybe. Maybe and perhaps are also synonyms. got any other brilliant insights on the English language

an instance of this.
The game: https://www.kingdomcomerpg.com/ I just looked up the current statistics for the area. Yep, still no black people today. What makes you think that there would be some in 15th century, when travel, trade and resettlement was so much harder?
I use ShareX, which is (in my opinion) the best screenshot utility out there. It has a bunch of features (including an image editor, which is powered by Greenshot anyways) and lots of automation you can set up. Definitely worth a shot.
There's Kodi, which can stream from Plex servers, and is lightyears ahead in terms of customization. It's also completely free and open source, and has a tiny bit of my work running in the latest version! ^(Okay, so it was just a little bit of grammar correction, but I still got merged in!)

Actually this made me check out a dozen other apps in case I'm missing something cool out, and Make It Big is basically the same as Large Text, except you have search and ads (removable for $1.50). I think I'll be switching, so fyi :)
They're just called "candy sticks" now. Literally the same exact thing.
Oh, and the red dot on the one tip is gone.
Available on Amazon as well as Ebay.
STUDY FUNDAMENTALS! Tons of beginner artists start out with anime and jump right into drawing the body and landscapes. It usually doesn't work out because everything is proportionally wrong, perspective is off and everything is anatomically wrong.
