I don't want to be "that guy", but is there any way to verify that you are indeed Husky? The guy with the HDStarcraft account is NOT HD and he tried to fake an AMAA as well as other negative things under a fake HD account a few months ago. Just wondering!
EDIT: Proof! Thanks, johnbranflake.
I just wanted to add: If you see this, thank you random douche bag.
You were on a mission to make me want to quit, but you did the exact opposite. I was on the brink of quitting Starcraft forever after all the hate, but decided I wasn't going to be a 'Gurl Gamur' statistic. I wanted to prove you wrong so bad.
Thank you for giving me the motivation to put in the work required to change my play style and bad habits. You were out on a mission to destroy me and make me want to quit Starcraft, but you did the exact opposite.

I'm just going to leave this event that I run that is literally a monthly unregionlocked incentive system for NA(and would do EU if I got enough funding) for playing on the ladder with a monthly tournament and even gives weekly prizes to the top 2 players here.
(More info under the Rules link on that site)
I'll admit I'm not throwing 10k a month at it because it's only self funded $400 a month + ~$130 from a patreon, but it's a start at least.

Hello everyone! It’s finally here, “The Best of Starcraft II 2014”!
I hope you enjoyed http://SC2HL.com in 2014! We hope to grow even more in 2015!
I want to thank our sponsor Cooler Master for supporting us through 2014! I doubt SC2HL would still exist without them! Check them out at: https://bitly.com/CMesports
>There are some easy things we can do and there are some hard things. If we study the game, for example, you would say that the corruptor is lame. Don't get us wrong; they're useful. If there are a lot of colossi, you need corruptors. If there are dark templars, you need overseers. They have a battle function for a situation, but what new battle strategies and tactics do they add in the game? Compare the two to the mutalisks; a player can raid, harass. They can get board control; they can decimate opponents without antiair. Party, right? Having those guys around changes the match. Corruptors? Meh. You build colossi, I build corruptors; end of story.

In alternative you can go to the IGN IPL Website (Free 720p) and using their player go to:
EDIT: Added time for the games.
A few things to note:
1) GoDaddy has since withdrawn their support for the legislation.
2) GoDaddy helped write the bill, so their withdrawal means jack shit.
There are a huge number of companies supporting SOPA. If this thread has somehow spurred you to action, realize that there is much more you can do that just engage in a knee-jerk response to one company that happened to publicly announce its support for the bill on the internet. Esports should definitely band together to help fight this bill, but please remember that this is a large and ongoing process. If we boycott GoDaddy successfully, I know many people will feel like they've scored a victory and let the issue pass from their minds.
Because it's still a legitimate criticism of the art and something that distracts from an otherwise well done piece.
Also it wasn't done by the OP, it's about two years old:

A few years ago (when I was a student) I made a short documentary about IPL and where StarCraft could be going called "Meta: The Culture of IPL". It managed to play on the IPL5 (I think) stream. You can view it on Vimeo for free or if you'd really like a downloadable copy with some bonus stuff, you can pay what you want for a copy. The download supports future films.
This was my first major project in film and I'm really proud of it. It ended up being played a ton and made enough money to cover the initial budget which is more than any kid making a film could ask for.
This sculpture is the prize on my local amateur Starcraft 2 tournament. I made it myself. The base is Tychus Findlay action figure, infested parts are made of polymer clay. Gold paint and wooden stand.

I feel SC2 players could learn a lot from reading The Art of War. Could have used common sense here, though, as well.
>RT: @oGsMC: "I felt that I don't have a perfect command of the game right now. I will admit that my decision making and my hands are slow, and I'll try even harder to become perfect. Also, as a digression, the reason why 111 is so strong against Protoss is that Protoss only has a Splash Damage unit at the third tier. If we had banelings, then what would marines be?"

I wouldnt call RTS genre dead, just because we only have one super big esports title. At least we do have one super big esports title. There are others rts games, theyre just not thaat big.
Personally i enjoy Men Of War alot, but its totally different than Starcraft. Its a WW2 game, and its one of those more realistic type ones.
But I assume the next big esports rts will be Warcraft 4. It seems like atm theres noone aside from blizzard who manages to make rts games on this level.
PS: I'm also working on a small rts (playable in browser) http://littlewargame.com/ ;)
I see myself on the scoreboard in pic 4, and I'm all...
But seriously, it was a blast yesterday. If you live in Toronto, and play SC2 at all, definitely come.
While subs are great, I do want to remind people that people who want to support him could also just directly donate to the paypal. This is also a great option for those who enjoy stuff like HSC but don't really have an interest in subbing because of the german language coverage.
Subbing gives $2.50 to TakeTV, whereas donating is (minus some potential transaction fees) nearly the full amount going toward them. It also allows you to send more than $5 a month if you choose to.
You can use FRAPS or Open Broadcaster Software to capture your game/screen, saving it to your disk.
You can then go to www.gfycat.com and click "Upload a GIF" or something similar. The max video duration is 15 seconds.
Here's a quick guide for OBS.
I stream to twitch.tv with OBS so I got my video from my own archive :-).

I know it airs at a bad time for some people. I know some people will be busy at that time. That's cool, we all have lives outside of SCII.
So open it now.
If you use Firefox download minimize to tray and just keep it open, it won't even get in your way. If you do it sooner than later you'll even get a bonus episode of SC Center which you should probably be watching anyway.

Nova Covert Ops is a short little romp that gives a lot of context for the Dominion after Legacy of the Void and finally gives Nova her full due in a major game. I highly recommend it.
There's also a wealth of short stories if you want to get deeper into the universe of those games. I made a compilation here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kgvFfyqpUxMqt7twIIubghN9zXG5jJFz/view?usp=sharing
And a ton of free comics that give a lot of context here:
https://starcraft2.com/en-us/media
Also a ton of full books and comics (though sadly not free), but of course that's if you're going more for the story than the gameplay. Otherwise, I'd wrap up with Nova Covert Ops and then join the rest of us in hoping for a return to the universe.
If people are curious I am running windows 7.
If you have dual monitors on windows I STRONGLY suggest you download http://dualmonitortool.sourceforge.net/
This allows you to quickly throw things back and forth between two screens as well as have two different desktop backgrounds.
I also suggest WizMouse http://antibody-software.com/web/software/software/wizmouse-makes-your-mouse-wheel-work-on-the-window-under-the-mouse/
Allows you to scroll without "focusing" on a window like in any linux based operating system. Simply mouse over the window and you can scroll freely without having to click first.
Holy shit, MC putting some heart and soul into his singing. Dat high note. 0_0

EDIT: His dance moves side by side with the music video. I had way too much fun making this.
Here is a list of all extended series played this season. The good thing about extended series is that the next "best of three" is always played out anyway, so we can see who would have won if the rule was not in place. Out of 28 extended series this season, the eventual result was changed in 5 cases. The list of players that has benefited from this is Naniwa, MC, DongRaeGu, IdrA, and Mvp who went on to place 1st 3rd, 3rd, 4th, and 1st in their respective tournaments. The players who got "screwed:" Kiwikaki, Thorzain, Hero, Boxer, and MMA.
Just wanted to put some actual data out there.
For all non-Americans wondering, no, you are not eligible.
From the rules:

Simple steps to get a new IP:
This is the hardest step, so ask some tech savvy friends for help if you have trouble. Change the MAC address of your router, if your routers firmware does not support it, you can see if tomato is compatible with your router.
Unplug everything. Modem from router, unplug modem, etc..
Wait 30 seconds for good measure
Plug everything back in and when you connect to your ISP it should serve you a new IP
Also you could call your ISP and be like yo give me a new IP this guy is attacking me, they might help you in multiple ways.
Sorry for taking so long. Went to go watch Mad Max. Highly recommended btw. Here's the link to a few I've made before. I recommend trying the siege tank first as not only does it look great but despite looking more complex, because its got less curves than say the marauder so its more forgiving. Patience is key.

Having the Command 'Console'. I'd like to say that there can be more done with it. Also, the text is from what Zelots say when you select them. I figure you could have different ones per race? I tried "I'm here. Click me!" but I felt it was dumb. I made the buttons blue because I wanted to. I also would put more time into creating additional buttons.
Looking for feedback as well. Thanks
PS. I know the rules said no Blizzard Icons, but the icons can be recreated, and i'm sure they don't have ownership on an 'X' in a circle.
PSS. I posted this on the first one accidentally oh well.
tl;dr Check the concept image. Thanks.
For events like these i'd like to recommend last pass. The last password you'll ever need :) After my old hotmail account got hacked i considered it but did nothing, but then gawker was hacked i finally said enough and installed it. The inital time was a little boring, generating passwords and such but after that it just makes everything so easy. If you are logged into the browser extension it just fills out everything for you. They store their stuff extremely well and know what they're doing. And for like 10$ a year you can get the mobile app and additional features. Supports all major OSes and Browers.
Hello reddit,
I just wanted to chime in. SocialBlade is my site so first thanks for submitting it here :) But to address two things I saw in the comments.
1) The range is as it is because the CPM (basically how much each view is worth) varies depending on the types of ads partners put on their videos and what countries the people are watching them from. Most partners should make around the middle of the range but the highs and the lows are there to accommodate the wide range of partners.
2) To address partners being able to disclose how much they make I point you to the adsense TOS (which is how they handle the payments): "You may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to You pursuant to the Program" See https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms section 7 if you don't trust my quote. Basically in short its widely said that they can't say how much they make but thats wrong :)
Anyway the site offers many stats on youtube and the ESTIMATED earnings are just that. Mostly to compare what your own channel could make if you were a partner and get a feeling of how many views = how much $$.
Let me know if you have any other questions :)
Edit: Just so you know, the estimated earnings is currently using a range of 0.5 - 3.0 for the CPM so that means 50 cents to $3 per 1000 views basically. From partners I've talked to their earnings fall within the range displayed.
I am working on an RTS myself (http://littlewargame.com/play), that is (at least mechanical-wise) pretty close to Starcraft 2. Its written in in javascript and HTML5, which means, it runs in your browser. You can play it for free and without registration needed.
It has a medieval / fantasy setting, so its more like Warcraft 3 in that regard, but the controls are pretty much like sc2, so maybe this is what you are looking for.
Regarding "big", "commercial" games, I also failed to find anything that feels like SC.
> This is an excellent video with wise commentary, a Sirlin-esque mental attitude and a wonderful tutorial on what chess players call "the transformation of advantages".
I love how he applied Sun-Tzu's The Art of War book to Starcraft 2.
EDIT: ~~to~~ he
This isnt something that MLG pitched to Chinese investor. This is Chinese investors wanting to invest into the gaming sector and seeking a Western 'partner' who can help them have good relations with US based studios (Valve, Blizz, Riot, etc)
Also lets be honest, the Chinese investors are putting in about 3 billions USD (into the whole infrastructure), MLG is a very very small part of just the arena/esports part.
Gamespot put out an article yesterday on the size of the Chinese gaming market: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-number-of-chinese-gamers-surpasses-the-number-of-american-citizens/1100-6419166/
The Chinese market is a huge emerging market, and the 10% of ppl with disposable income who put money back into the system can be worth a lot of money. (for the project and all the western game dev)
Nobody ever listens to me. I've been saying it for years. Fuck Blackfoger, stop giving them chances. They will fuck you over. I bet you some idiot Starcraft 2 player signs with them soon anyways and finds out for himself.
This guy doesn't deserve to be in the eSports industry, so stop giving him 20 chances to ruin it.

> Starcraft Jeopardy (After 2 more episodes is going away, pateron )
Thanks for the shoutout, it put a big smile on my face :)
Just for a bit of clarity, while Starcraft Jeopardy is wrapping up as a weekly/bi-weekly show, it will still exist as something that happens every few months. And this isn't me bowing out of doing stuff, just retiring that project. Lots of cool stuff down the pipeline :)

>Back in June, we showed the expansion at Major League Gaming Spring Championship in Anaheim, which was the largest e-sport event ever in North America. More than 20,000 spectators came to the event and had a chance to try out Heart of the Swarm. Another 4.7 million unique viewers tuned into the event via MLG's online broadcast, where we showed off some exclusive trailers for Heart of the Swarm. We received tremendous feedback from that event, and we're looking to head into beta very soon.
What I think is baseless is your belief that I've never used chess.com... I stated clearly that my opinion is biased because at the end of the day it's personal preference. Here I am on chess.com

They made it very clear it would not stack in the notes from the beginning. Unfortunately this wasn’t carried into the final patch notes summary.
From my other reply: most things over-time don’t stack so why would you assume this would? Inject is the only “sequential stack” duration ability I can think of right now.
So for context:
It looks like it's going to be a paid, physical release. The tentative release date is March next year, but that could be a placeholder:
https://www.amazon.com/Starcraft-Warchest-Nature-Beast-Compilation/dp/1950366863/
However, this posting comes right before they plan to drop a ton of merch for San Diego ComicCon, so it's very possible this might actually get released in that wave later this month, given the Amazon page seems to very much be placeholder (not even a preorder option). Unlikely, but possible.
Still, very exciting to actually have lore content.
I was in doubt as well but just to let you guys know, this is a project backed by White-ra himself. He just announced it 45 minutes ago on his Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com/WhiteRaSC). Aleksey "White-Ra" Krupnyk Here 2 news: 1. Star nation come in MLG Orlando 2. Zachary want make documentary about me : http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/zudio/documentary-on-white-ra" Feel free to support it or not.
Quite the set of games today! I don't think anyone expected Mousesports to 4-0 one of the better proleague teams, but they all played quite well.
Side note/ request: Monday and Wednesday nights and afternoons are pretty busy for me, so I won't be able to do these result threads for those days. If anyone is interested in doing a thread for tommorow's match in this type of style, let me know and I can send you the template I've made for the ShoutCraft results. Otherwise, I'll see you all on Thursday for Team Liquid vs Incredible Miracle!
Funny MKP said that Stephano is a genius at SC2 but he lacks opponent analysis or something like that. If he indeed is helped and is going to practice WITH the players and not just stay there, he can become a real beast.
Edit:Found it
It'd be neat if a while after LotV is new they also gave us a new one featuring all 3 races. Like a modern version of this.
Why is it that the first to comment are just here to piss on the Mac gamers' wounds? Help your fellow starcrafters out or, at the very least, make an original joke.
Sigh, well anyway here's something you can do if you are affected by (as I am):
I did this last night and it worked perfectly, just had to adjust some settings. However, I already had a copy of windows installed so I can't vouch for the success of that trial.
Finally, I hope you use Ctrl instead of command for hotkeyes. It allows you to play cross platform without issue.
I didn't read through many comments on TL, but I didn't see one obvious thing mentioned. It's noon time right now in Seoul, and according to wunderground.com it's 21°F / -6°C right now! Who wants to be in a big gymnasium/studio in 6-8 hours when it's even worse? Rain tomorrow, snow the next day, windchill factor, etc. Maybe I'm just a spoiled Californian, but damn I sure wouldn't want to be walking around Seoul right now.
THB I've never understood how GSL can throw up these big prizepools, I wonder how much is bankrolled by Blizz since they announced the 170K prizepools for 2010 before they even had Sony as a sponsor.
Anyway, lots of factors why I'm not surprised about the low studio turnouts. We just need to wait a bit, and see how HotS goes, how the kespa/ogn lawsuits go, and wait for some internet viewership numbers.
!!! I only own one computer, a Macbook pro, but I love Starcraft. The phenomenon you're describing is called mouse acceleration. Basically, if your mouse moves slower than some speed, OSX will decelerate your mouse by a certain factor, which is supposed to make it "easier to use."
You can fix it with a program called Mousefixers. Here's a link to a forum post on TL that describes what it does and how to get it.

It will, did you think it just wasn't going to be a thing? Also, the quick match ladder is available to see. So essentially yes, there IS rank. https://www.ageofempires.com/stats/ageiv/
You just want SC3, really, which is its own "brand" of RTS. I happen to think AoE4 is a fantastic RTS. A game where looking away for .5 seconds doesn't make you lose your army. It sounds like it's just not for you. Micro exists in the game. Build orders matter. Macro matters. Positioning matters. Controlling units matters.
TERRAN LOVE
Using the OP's .psd, I made 3 for Terran with different backgrounds. I also cleaned up the league layer a bit as it had some bordering that showed on a white background.
Alter the black box layer (just add or remove the black) to change which leagues appear coloured. Thanks OP for a nice layout!
EDIT: Added the dark Terran wallpaper, for those who prefer black. If you use the PSD, simply turn on the BG3 folder if you want the dark background. If you want the white, Disable it and select from the two white BGs (leaving the BG1/2 folder visible).
EDIT2: If you don't have Photoshop and would still like a background, reply to this with which one (1, 2, 3 from Imgur link) and the max league you want shown as visible and I will reply with a link to your background in .png format
This is the real PainUser. He just tweeted this post and a separate TL post.
It's interesting that EGInControl flat out lied about having spoken with PainUser before the match when Slasher asked him about this at the beginning of EP 74 of Live On Three yesterday. But then again we expect lots of sneaky behavior out of INControl. Perhaps most people don't remember this from 4 months ago, but INControL had a brief falling out with Gosucoaching.com and the owner. And for like 2 weeks he was hardcore badmouthing everything about Gosu Coaching and forming his own coaching company, phoenixstarcraft.com. Then suddenly everything went back to how Gosu Coaching is awesome and Phoenix Starcraft disappeared.
The ultimate starcraft directory
Lots of useful stuff in there. You can find the best matches played in there too if that is what interests you. If you want to learn from youtube, watch Day9 dailies of Filtersc's bronze to masters.
GL, HF! :)
Exactly what i thought when i watched this.
Edit: <strong>this</strong> is how it looked when avilo tested it. (5v5, no upgrades for both + focus fireing). He also tested a lot of other scenarios like with upgrades or in smaller or bigger numbers. Thors won noever vs the carriers except once i think in the end. This is obviously without any support units.
Someone should really have linked the balance update text along with the patch notes, because a lot of people are just "guessing" the reasons for X and Y, when it's all laid out in the official explanations.
it's keychron k2 w/ cherry reds with the keycap set below.

the terran keycap i got from this dude on etsy. he's super nice and ships from china. the keycap itself actually has some weight to it. i was surprised how high quality it was.

Is that the mathmagician guy? If so, he is pretty awesome.
Having a professor (or uncle) like that would be a really good thing.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Steamed%20Rice
> In Korean, "steamed rice" is slang for "Newbie". It evolves into the sentence "You are my steamed rice", which simply means "I own you". Popular during Starcraft ceremonies when the winner throws a bowl of steamed rice towards the direction of the loser of the match(s).
Find something you enjoy doing, get really, really, (and I mean REALLY) good at it, and make a carrer out of it if you can. Last Year I was just some fan with a background in event production and broadcast; This year I am working with David Ting, Mr. Chae, and all the other great staff at IGN and GOMTV.
I would rather have no idea what I will be doing tomorrow, then know what I will be doing for the next 5 years. What I do specially requires an insane amount of knowledge and experience in event production, logistics, special effects, ect.
It is also a ton of hard work; I myself and most of the other staff worked 16-18 Hour shifts every day for a week from set-up to load-out. Definitely worth the payoff for me personally to be able to have a part in such a great event. I am a "Boots-on-the-ground" type of guy; I don't mind delegating and organizing other staff but I am 100% hands on with the production.
You can see me in the background durring Slasher's interview with Leenock along with others like Total Biscuit, Kevin Knocke, and Stephano.

rank 8 gm on NA actually but ok
I don't disagree with you but lets keep in mind that Maru still lost a game he should have won on oxide due to missing Rogue's army. He was making tanks that game. The point is Rogue employed some mindgames by using this strategy against Maru, and the EU zergs have not been able to fool Clem at all.
If TvP is that bad, why are about half of the top 50 in NA Grandmaster Terrans ? https://starcraft2.com/en-us/ladder/grandmaster/1

Asia leaderboard is mostly Zerg players, and EU is pretty much even.
There's also a really cool TL extension for Google Chrome. It's a bit buggy sometimes but overall really useful for a quick check of who is on.

Nice analogy! Now, that's "The Art of War". Strategies apply everywhere (like positioning, zoning, baiting, etc.). Not just war, games or sports. Even in business; some manager are required to read books that are adapted from or similar to The Art of War!
Best Buy updated their policy in March. They now match a few online stores such as Amazon.com and Newegg.com. There are others but just click the link if you want the details.
This is quite interesting, for me especially because I am also working on an RTS (http://littlewargame.com/play/) and i actually did the same thing a couple of weeks ago, what blizzard (most likely) did here. I lowered the min frame delay from 4 to 3. The reason was pretty much "why not ?". There is not really a reason to have a higher min delay. If the delay gets too low, the game will adjust and put it back higher anyway, so players with good connections benefit from that lowered min delay. That could be also what blizzard had in mind when they decided to lower the delay. An explanation why they kept the change "hidden" could be that its something most players wont even ever recognize plus this is something not so easy to explain to someone who doesn know how this network stuff works and most players would be confused when reading something like "Reduced minimum network frame delay from 4 to 2" in the patchnotes. (I did not put my change in my games patchnotes neither :D )
This looks amazing and I'm probably stealing this.
What I had previously for a totally rainmeter'd desktop was Stardock's program launch thingy.
http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/
It lets you place certain icons on an apple-esque taskbar and you can make it look really cool and fit most themes.
I found an example here
I'm sure you've looked into it but you can call transfer with skype. I don't know if you played with it or not, but that seems like what you need. You can have some producer on the call in line that can transfer callers to the show line.
10 knights each should be possible; 18 queens is definitely possible. Just in my head, to pass all the pawns, you can just stack each pair of pawns (8 captures total), then promote two pawns per file.
Interestingly enough, the front page says the following.
"In addition to the cash prize, these players are attempting to win one of four spots qualifying them for USD $50,000 in Season two!"
A good pair of shoes can prevent injury and help compensate for improper foot roll (pronation) or an unforgiving pair of foot gloves can force better form.
There's definitely a point when crappy gear screws you up, if someone was using one of these they would be screwed.
I generally agree with you though.
Are you Mark Blair? It is the only name publicly associated with the project at the moment. Are you the initiator of the project or did the idea come from one of your students?
Mark Blair appears to have very good reputation score on ratemyprofessors.com.

That applies to http connections which are obviously vulnerable. If you can demonstrate a tool that intercepts me typing https://www.paypal.com/ into my browser, then I'm interested. Other than that, yes it's risky if you use a proxy and don't pay attention to the security status and domain name of a site before you enter credentials into it. Same applies to shared wireless networks, cable modems, etc.
Also you might want to look at fixing the 40 bit SSL 2.0 encryption downgrade attack that's possible on your site.
Good new, with the upcoming patch...
>SCV single-click selection priority will now be higher than the buildings they are constructing.
Meaning that SCVs can more easily be clicked while they are constructing structures. Full notes here.
Also, on the topic of randomness: I wonder if it would be possible to rotate barracks addons to the opposite side of the building since spawn location determines whether or not the addon becomes part of the wall.
The decision to give HTs an attack was unpopular among the more hardcore players (at least among the ones who post to forums), so maybe they didn't want to rustle people's jimmies by adding one to every caster.
I think that HTs benefit more from having the ranged attack than other caster units on account of the fact that it's harder to select HTs on the screen, so for players who don't have a separate control group for them, it can be hard to command portions of their army to attack without suiciding the HTs. To me, that is the most logical explanation. There's a strong consensus that this change was made to help less-skilled players, and I don't see the issue with that, but it upset some people.
The 4.0.0 patch notes don't give a developer comment for it, but the devs may have in one of their forum updates leading up to the patch going live.
First thing to do when you have graphics card problems is to update your driver.
The next thing to do is check to see if your card is running to hot, a good way to check if your card is overheating is to use a program like CPUID's Hardware Monitor http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html NVIDIA and AMD generally list there cards as o.k. up to ~100C, (my gtx570 is listed as up to 97C, for instance). Generally it should be well short of that unless you are overclocking. You should check your temps after playing the game for a while, or while using a stress test program like FurMark (http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/)
Finally, if you are overclocking you card, dial it back to its baseline specs and see if that helps.
I made the battlecruiser using Pepakura, it's a free program that helps print out 3d objects to paper.

That's not the right sense of the word "admitting." That's about entrance. Look at other definitions that are less self-referential.

So for those curious where it's from, it's from the Frontline comic "Fear the Reaper." No official digital copy but you can find it here:

Story got continued in a fantastic short story named In the Dark about that DT:

Both written by David Gerrold, a fantastic science fiction writer who did some very famous Star Trek episodes. In the Dark is probably the closest StarCraft comes to hard science fiction.
Frontline in general's pretty solid, since it's all different writers and artist the quality varies a lot, but it does a lot of weirder stories that go pretty deep into the setting. Also a bit of a time capsule of the period between SC1 and SCII where they were building up these new units but sometimes unsure of the direction they'd go mechanically.
and hilariously for Australian viewers a derogatory word for Aborigines

listening to tastosis pronouncing the name is like hearing "coon coon" or "gook gook"
Record footage -- Sometimes this doesn't need anything, like Windows 10 built in recording or recording built into some Nvidia graphics cards. Otherwise, you can use Obs for local recording. (Can google guides for how to set it up to locally record)
(Optional) Edit Footage -- I use Windows Movie Maker, since you can download it for free. Usually all you need to do is clip the footage so its short enough to be uploaded as a gyf. (Or edit out you clicking the record/pause button on your recording software)

Just play for fun, don't take anything seriously when starting out, don't be afraid to test things. Be creative, take risks.
Watch streams, vods from tournaments etc. see what good players do, so you understand how the game works fundamentally.
Choose the race that seems the most fun for you. Try all 3 before you decide, don't be afraid of changing later.
Do not be afraid of losing. You will lose loads and loads of games when starting out, but you will improve after each and every one.
Most importantly: Have fun!

Based on the screenshot you've provided and tweeted, you should probably show one where the "Payments Received" link is clicked, to disprove theories that any account activity was archived which can be hidden from view on the main transactions page.
