Ever since the Corona work from home frenzy started last year I’ve been using my XM3s together with this external boom mic It also works great with PlayStation.
I know you would probably want a wireless option but with my XM3's I went for this option.
Sound quality and Mic quality is great.
You really don't get it do you? Just because you spent over a thousand bucks on an account doesn't mean you automatically get a free pass to break the terms and conditions of the PlayStation Network.
It's clearly stated here:
> You may not sell, buy, trade, or transfer your Online ID, Account or any personal access to PSN Services through any means or method, including by use of web sites.
So I don't think Sony did anything unreasonable to ban your account. It clearly is a major violation, and you committed it. Maybe you should've read the terms and conditions first?
i think you mean WH-1000XM4
if you are on android you might wanna try out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pittvandewitt.wavelet
it has an autoeq preset for WH-1000XM4
WF is TWS WH is headphones WI is for neckbands IEMs
OT rant: IDK why people are getting confused or shit on their naming scheme TBH, they make more sense than just "bose 700"
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember any headphone that works like this: “wired and bluetooth at the same time”.
You could also use a bluetooth dongle for your PC and use the XM4's Multipoint feature, which is basically being able to connect to two devices at the same time but wirelessly.
Get a Bluetooth transmitter. You can use any Bluetooth headphones you want with any source on your tv.

Tencel is made from bamboo as I understand it. The ear pads don’t stick to your ears. It’s also much cooler.

Not possible. Next time, you might want to hide this in the case.
Try factory resetting your headphone, should fix at least some issues, fixed no auto power off on mine.
About number 1, maybe try the DisableAbsoluteVolume registry tweak, might fix it.
There aren't any benefits to buying Sony's cable if you can find generic ones that are built reasonably well. I have these for use with my XM4s and they're fine.
I found these replacement tips that are very inexpensive and work very well for me. They offer different sizes. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SN4H4WP/ For me these do better noise isolation than the Sony's.
The WF-1000XM3 of course!
They actually use the same software as the WH's, but in a more compact in-ear model that fits in your pocket. These are my go-to's for being in the office, commuting, etc
Pertaining to the connection issue, I would suggest trying to factory reset the earphones and also try rebooting the device you are trying to connect the earphones too. Sometimes the phone/computers Bluetooth receiver may be misbehaving.
With respect to the earbuds not fitting in your ear well, you can always try to use foam ear tips. Simply go on Amazon and look for WF-1000XM3 foam ear tips, I shall leave an example pair of ear tips for you to see what I mean.

No problem. Glad to hear you got that confirmation. I have had a bit of a breakthrough with TMJ and tinnitus the last month or so. It hasn't gone away but I have not had any major flare-ups. YMMV but I have been doing daily jaw exercises four times a day, taking CBD oil before bed, going to bed at the same time every night, and wearing my night guard every night.
These are what I bought. They are no longer available it seems but are made from a fabric called tencel. You'll see some other options under "Customers who viewed this item also viewed".

Good luck!
This is what I have. I have tinnitus however, so not having music on means I just hear my ears ringing, so I only use them for short bursts.

Look for reviews that focus on comfort over many hours. Some of them really squeeze your head.
I made another reply on this post but in general, the other tips will make a notable improvement for those who have difficulty with the stock tips. If you have no issue with the stock tips at all and find them perfect then these shouldn't make much of a difference for you.
If you want more detail, check my other post. This is what worked for me:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07PJNHM3Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_z9EKFbSR80KDE
You can see some pictures someone uploaded of how they sit on the XM3s in the image gallery near the reviews. XM3 and XM4 are virtually identical so it should fit the exact same.

Your downloadable content in your download list will still be available for you to download. You will only be able to access the PSN store in the region you registered your account in. For example: I registered my account with the US as my location, no matter where I go, I will only be able to access the US PSN store.
Keep in mind that for some reason, you cannot use credit cards that are not registered in the same country as your account to pay for stuff. I need to actually have a US credit card to pay for games. I get around this by buying digital PSN card from Amazon. You still need a US address to buy this but any address will do.
Oh wait. It looks like we are not talking about the same thing. I was talking about this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sony.playmemories.mobile
This app simply let you control your Sony camera from your phone. I thought that was OP was talking about.
I have the XM3's and the ANC was terrible until a month ago when I finally bought a set of Comply Tx-400 Isolation Plus earbud tips. They are amazing at ANC now, and exactly what I imagined when I first bought them. Quick squeeze to compress the memory foam a bit, then put them in and let them expand to fit the ear. Don't hurt like the Sony foam ones either.
You may have to remove them when you charge, but mine fit in the XM3 charger (just).
Sony are great at the electronic side; they are abysmal when it comes to effective tips.
I wonder if you could use a bluetooth-capable mixer to mix phone with PC audio?
I honestly don't know if these work like that, but I searched after your post:
Even if it doesn't, if your phone has a headphone jack, you could run audio cable from phone to a (non-bluetooth standard audio mixer),then cable from PC and mix it in mixer. Then use audio cable from headphones to mixer. You may need to get 1/4" adapters.
Thanks for this script. I had the latest app and it never showed the fw update so I downgraded to 4.1.0 app and was able to downgrade to 2.0.0 firmware
Thank you! Would you mind posting it somewhere else, where it can be downloaded without a login and archived by the Internet Archive? I could do that as well, with your permission.
I can confirm MDRID291601 to be the EU model.
Here is a direct link to the latest working .apk version 4.1.0: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/sony-video-sound-products-inc/sony-headphones-connect/sony-headphones-connect-4-1-0-release/sony-headphones-connect-4-1-0-android-apk-download/download/
No no - I asked which plug you used. If you have a notebook, they have combined headphones and mic inputs which you have to plug the TRRS side in.
If your computer has the ports seperated (a pink one and a green one), you need a breakout-adapter as well.
From your description I assumed you have a notebook, which has a TRRS port that takes the mic signal while also giving a headphones output. https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B09NMYMR6B
Sony's default ear tips suck. I replaced them with these and now the Wf-1000XM4s fit perfectly! https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0989NHFGW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You'll be better served with aftermarket memory foam tips for extended use. They're super comfortable, but memory foam tips don't last. My last ones only lasted a few months before one tore. Granted they were a cheap brand but still, foam will always start to wear out. I now have some silicon tips on and while they're not quite as comfortable as the memory foam they replaced, they're still more comfortable than the stock foam tips. Stock tips started to hurt after a couple of hours or if I laid my head down on a pillow and it pushed on the back of my ears. But with those silicon I just recently used them on an 8 hour road trip with my folks to Vegas and had no issues with them in for that long. Silicon are also way easier to clean off which is how I tore my last ones.
Not the same app but I tried an app called magicplan that was good enough for me.

You can add furniture and things too which is what I plan on doing for this currently empty room.
You basically walk around and point your camera at your room using AR to set the corners and things and then do a little adjusting. This took me maybe 30 minutes total to get the hang of it but I could do this again in 5 now. It might be easier on the iPhones with lidar for depth mapping but on my phone I just had to go slowly so the app doesn't lose track of where it is.
The free version has some limitations but I think for an apartment this should be good for the whole place
A cable like this - it has a TRS port on the side of the heafphones, a mic in the capsule on the cable and a TRRS port on the PC side that carries the mic signal of the mic in the capsule.
Personally I'd recommend just getting a cheap capture card. $30 bucks will get you something that can just run through the HDMI out of your camera. No Sony apps with terrible support and I've had no issues with signal dropouts or anything.
Chinch - it is red and white Plastic with a metal sleeve and a hole in the center of the colored plastic insulator. Just google.
If that is not there, you can get an adapter casette to use as a jerry-rigged 3.5mm input ;)
You'd have to get some sort of adapter like this. I use something very similar to this front panel media hub in my desktop computer because it supports memory stick, SD, MicroSD and many more formats.
If you have the original camera or device that it goes in, you could try connecting it to your computer via USB to transfer the files that way. If it's cheaper or more convenient for you, try finding someone with an old Sony camera or camcorder you can borrow to hook it up to a PC.
Anywho, those are just some ideas. For your own research, this card in particular is called "Sony Memory Stick". The "Memory Stick Pro" is the same size, but the "Memory Stick Pro Duo" is smaller. The pin layout seems to be the same though so an adapter for the Pro Duo might work on the original Memory Stick
Thanks a lot for the help I'm guessing I can send links in this subreddit? This supports 3.0 and 3ft/6ft I'm guessing this one should work?
Most Sony consumer TV's work with the IP remote app for Android and Apple devices, if you know your panel's IP address and have Simple IP Control enabled.
For those using Bravia Pro panels and have set an admin password and enabled Web UI, you can also control the panel via your laptop at http://IPADDRESSOFTV/sony/webui
I was a big fan of memory foam tips because they are sooooo much more comfortable than the stock tips. But they don't last so I finally tried some silicone, specifically these. Surprisingly they actually turned out more comfortable overall because they can squish easier. I can now lay my head sideways on the pillow without any discomfort. When doing that with stock tips it actually hurt and with the several aftermarket foam I've tried it was still uncomfortable. I can tell that they're slightly less good when it comes to the noise canceling department, but it's not all that much worse so it's not a deal breaker. They're way easier to clean too since you don't have to worry about tearing the foam like stock or aftermarket foam when wiping them. They pass the apps sound test every time. Unlike stock that would make me have to adjust them around half the times I took the test. I don't have any issues with them staying in my ear.
I'm really happy with them. Best 7 bucks I've spent in ages. I got the combo 3 size set and the small size is really small, I would expect it to work fine with most kids so you should be good to go. Worse comes to worse if you buy from Amazon they have the most painless returns of any e retailer that I know of. Don't even have to repack you just bring them down to a UPS store and show the QR code Amazon sends you.
I don't think TVs come with headphone jacks anymore, you can buy a cheap used stereo amp and use that to give you headphone jack? Maybe something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Tendak-Extractor-Converter-Soundbar-Amplifier/dp/B07CJ96MQV
I would consider bluetooth headphones too.
Sometimes they say they are 2.1 but in reality they might not be. Here’s the cable I used for PC and PS5. Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08TQJP3LX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share.
But if you go to settings > Channels/Input > ext. inputs > ext device setup > then pick whatever the HDMI port the PC is using and pick “setup”. Just remember it has to be HDMI 3 or 4 on the A80j to do the high refresh rate. I would really recommend using one that has pictures by other reviewers that show its capable like this one. Hope this helps!
For anyone having this problem, get yourself one of these https://www.amazon.de/PortaPow-Daten-Block-Adapter-SmartCharge-Schwarz/dp/B00T0DW3F8/ . I took the headphones apart, tried everything. Then I noticed, that they do charge when I only plug the usb-c half way in. So I wondered if it's got something to do with the data lines on USB because they usually make physical contact after the power lines. Testing it with a USB Data Blocker it turns out it does.. I don't know why exactly but it seems like the headphones stop charging when you connect them with a data-USB cable to a dumb charging block, maybe the data lines get shorted, idk. Removing the data lines with a USB Data blocker tricks the headphones into thinking it's a dumb cable and they'll continue charging just fine.
I have this issue as well but I haven't need to completely pull out the inner foam yet - I use a tweezer to pull it out most of the way then squish it into a paper towel with isopropyl and it works good enough to have equal volume on either ears.
I also found these Comply eartips on amazon which appear to have a wax cover in the middle to prevent this issue. I found them while searching for a replacement for my now ripped stock eartips, but I ended up contacting Sony support instead and getting shipped OEM ones for free. Maybe this helps someone else.
I personally like these ones, they also have the benefit of being Sony's own so they fit well: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Replacement-Silicone-Earbuds-EPEX10AB/dp/B001UE6PBI
The Final Audio Type 3 are also really nice. Can be hard to find though.
I hope so. Would you mind looking at this cable and telling me if it would work? Please and thank you.
This mic is great, but honestly I don't know if it's worth it, it's pricey. It's the only type of mic like this though. You attach an adhesive magnetic base it'll grab onto (so it's removable minus the base) and it's wireless.
If you're looking for something more economical, a lapel or desk mic probably is fine.
I think it was this one. A total Noname product and works without an issues. https://www.amazon.de/Bluetooth-Adapter-Geignet-kompatible-Chipsatz/dp/B001IBOTYS
But you can't buy it anymore. Simply buy from any other manufacturer. It will work also I guess. Maybe there are also other dongles that could give You ldac support on windows. But I have not checked this.
I tried buying OEM replacements for my XM3's but they don't seem to be available in the UK. Instead I bought third party ones. They are about as soft and firm as the originals and have kept well this last 6 months.
Link [here](https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08ZCQ81ST/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o01\_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1), I bought the 'geo gray' colour.
The one I ordered is and works fine. I didn’t find out about the OEM one.

I recently bought some for a little under £100. After researching, it came down to those or the Nothing Ear 1s. The NE1s are the latest new release but designed for the near £100 price point. The XM3s are the older tech but we're designed as the top tier on release. So in my judgement based on reviews, the XM3s offer the best of that challenge.
Comfort is VERY subjective. Everyone says the XM3s are awful for sport so don't get them for that. Otherwise, I find them as comfortable as the best in-ear sets I've ever owned. That is to say, not a patch on an over-ear closed back set of headphones but no problem for convenience. You get a wide range of tips to help the fit, of two types of material.
They sound really great. They work nicely with my Xperia 1 iii. The android app is rather good. Zero regrets.
One tip, order this at the same time:

Get this smaller version as the medium version is not so portable (and Sony advise you don't store the buds out of the charging case anyway). This case makes these buds massively more portable. You won't find a smaller hard case without losing the space for the lead, and even doing that wouldn't make it meaningfully smaller. It is also very good value and very well made.

Tpu plastic instead of silicone. Not terrible
Secondipity is selling them for 128
Even better buy from Secondipity on Amazon and you get a 30-day refund, same price of $128
I just got mine in the mail this way and they work great, I love em
If you want neutral listening the easiest way is to install wavelet search up the headphones and auto EQ them. This should put them on Harman target.
If you're only using the Sony app it's a bit harder as the EQ is more limited but can do clear bass -6, 400 -1, 1K +1, 2.5k +5, 6.3k +1, 16k +1.
If you like the way xm4 sounds then these kinds of settings may sound boring with the subdued bass, but should provide better clarity.
And "the way artist intended" is just marketing fluff, artists intend for you to enjoy the music not necessarily find every detail.

Otherwise sony did us dirty with the replacement tips. At least in Germany Sony asks for just 1 pair of tips 25€. They are called EPNI1000.

Sony compatible are likely bluetooth compatible with Sony phones, etc. PS4 needs 2.4gHz Wireless which requires a usb dongle. If you want one for under $50 that is also from a reputable brand (not some cheapo chinese company) then go with the Razer Nari Essential https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Nari-Essential-Wireless-Auto-Adjusting/dp/B07HZ5N8QT

But the shipping is several weeks and I don't want to have to wait!
And expanding the headband doesn’t help? You can get knitted covers and covers with extra padding in them that are a bit wider, I’m not sure if it’ll help as I have no issue with the headband
Something like https://smile.amazon.de/Headband-Protector-Required-Compatible-Headphones/dp/B094YD48XK
Install wavelet, this also got auto EQ for your buds to go flat, and then you can add your own EQ on top of this, with a flat starting point. And then max out your pre gain. This will give you a bit more.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pittvandewitt.wavelet
I searched for that device and looks like it's detachable, maybe you could look for a wireless/Bluetooth device compatible with your motherboard that is also compatible with the MX4, you said on other comment here that your bro has a laptop that works with the headphones, maybe you could figure out what device his laptop has and bought one and install it as a workaround. You may avoid buying a laptop but if yours it's 2016 I dunno if you wanna make the expense.
Here's the device you have installed: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-8260-IEEE-802-11ac-Adapter/dp/B0197W86IE
Mine didn't rip but I purchased some aftermarket tips from Amazon and they don't hurt my ears anymore.

You get headband covers with extra padding like https://smile.amazon.com/Headband-Protector-Installation-Sennheíser-Headphones/dp/B08HQGTR7D
You also get knitted earpad covers that add a small amount of thickness (I need to make the headband up to 2 clicks bigger with them on). Bit overpriced but fits fairly exactly onto Sony headphones and the proximity sensor still works https://smile.amazon.com/WH1000XM3-WH1000XM2-Headphones-Stretchable-Protectors/dp/B07QHD7S2L
Yes, mine get more smooshed from the back cause I sleep in them. The wicked cushions for XM3 are a bit softer and chunkier, but apparently they had production issues for the 4 and the plain black one I got (UK Amazon) just wasn’t as good. Geekria can be hit or miss, the XM4 pads are very slightly thicker than the WC ones.
I’ve also got these Geekria cosies cause I am greasy (adds the slightest bit of thickness as well) https://www.amazon.ca/SoundLink-Around-Ear-Headphones-Stretchable-Protectors/dp/B07QB8K5Y2
They are a bit overpriced for what they are but a very good fit for the Sony XM3 and 4
I have them now for some months now and the only bad thing I found is that wirelessly they won't work well with discord, using the microphone will change you to the handsfree device which makes the sound quality awful and I really mean bad because the game sounds like a recording. There's a workaround on PC using a cable that has audio and microphone plugs for computer and also has a micro attached to the cable so you turn the headset with the NC, the good mic the attached cable offers and no latency issues, but I m now sure how this could be done on a PS4. Also maybe I could say the last time I used them on windows 11 they didn't work well, they had driver issues and happened the same thing that happened on discord.
The cable with mic is this one https://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-BoomPro-Microphone-Gaming-Communication/dp/B00BJ17WKK/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=2898UYJER4PRM&keywords=voda+mic&qid=1645223447&sprefix=vmod+mic%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-3
I got myself a pair yesterday (pre owned off of amazon). I bought these on Amazon. They are silicone and softer than the ones that come with the ear buds. My ears are small and these also had an XSmall size which is perfect. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PD1Y4W5/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o04\_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Get these for $8. Silicon options seal but affect ANC. I wore these today for more than 8hrs...great! Sizes are spot on.

Windows doesn’t have a true support for those. I made them work with my PC, whoever, the mic sounded trash. I have an AUX to AUX cables with a mic. Been having them for 3 years for my XM3s and they work really dope.

If you want to use it wired, you’ll need to order an aux cable that includes a mic. I learned this the hard way after ordering. I just ordered the following after discovering this and doing some research. Good luck.

This is the exact item I purchased.
I have a Bluetooth dongle plugged into my windows 10PC (TPLink UB400). I can connect my mouse, keyboard etc just fine, no worries there. But when I connect my Sony XM4's the audio output becomes crackly. Like the other bluetooth devices are messing with the sound signal or something. It gets worse when typing (on the bluetooth connected keyboard). Does anyone have any advice? Is this a common issue that has an easy fix, or is this just "the way it is" and there are no work arounds for it?
For reference, the headphones are SonyXM4's, the keyboard is a Keychron K3 I think and the mouse is an MX master 3. This is running on Windows 10.
Here is the bluetooth adapter: https://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-UB400-Bluetooth-Computer-Receiver/dp/B07NDVQMY4?th=1
Thanks in advance.
Hi. No, there is a thing with all wireless earbuds for now. You probably don’t realize it, but this happens to android and iOS as well. The solution is to either use the jack to jack cable that came in the case with the headphones or to get one of this mics. I’ve been having this mic-jack to jack cable for almost 2 years now and never had any problems. The mic quality is very good too. One potential thought to consider is if the discomfort is related at all to the foam ear tips the WF-1000XM4 come with (it may be the discomfort actually occurs on your actual outer ear itself which I’ve sometimes encountered as well over the last several weeks of owning them) than you can opt for something like these silicone replacements: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B1T14PD/
I mainly opted to switch mine out since I was concerned about the foam ones wearing out super quick from regular use and knew the silicone ones would be easier to keep clean, etc.
They might be cheaper on Ebay.
But at least for the size comparison, there is on the second image a sizing chart.
At least there is one on the this product https://www.amazon.com/AZLA-SednaEarfit-XELASTEC-Pairs-Size/dp/B08BRGHYVN
I don't usually answer these questions on here as if you need audio advice, most people go to r/headphoneadvice.
I would strongly recommend this:
New SpinFit CP360 for True Wireless Earbuds - S/SS - Medical Grade Silicone Patented Replacement Ear Tips, Fits WF1000 XM4 Beats, Beats Fit Pro & More (2 Pairs) (for Nozzle Diameter from 4-5.5mm) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PD1Y4W5/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_MN575789TAP34636KQY8?psc=1
They tend to be better than the stock tips and are the best silicone tips that you can buy. They come from Taiwan and are worth every penny in my experience (much better than any other eartips I got and they have several sizes to get the right fit).
That being said, your ears are different so your mileage may vary. These work with the XM4 and have a extra small if you need it. You may also want to double check your ears at your local health clinic in case you happen to have too much earwax blocking your ears, that can happen at times.
So I got these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083KN15MJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_021GX7VA3G8WZ7913E3G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
And basically, problem solved. Tried a couple of sizes and been using the small ones for a week now and my ears don't hurt anymore... I barely feel the earbuds now, super comfortable.
Happy I didn't have to give them or put them away.
I bought one of these which works well with my Audio Technica ATHM50xBT and Sony WF1000xm4 earbuds

It is now listed in amazon but at rs 85153 Sony WF-1000XM4 True Wireless Noise Canceling in-Ear Headphones (Black) with Knox Gear Hard Case Bundle (2 Items) https://www.amazon.in/dp/B09GBG1QKF/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_6JP6VKHGZJ9KM563NC40
i decided im going to keep the jbls and return the Sonys anyways.
I would honestly advise against getting them and look for something else honestly, looking at the reviews of the 900s which are pretty much the same headphones, there are a shit load of people saying the plastic snapped in less than a year https://www.amazon.com/Sony-WH-XB900N-Wireless-Canceling-Headphones/dp/B07RM8WQ8G/ref=sr\_1\_3?keywords=sony+xb900n&qid=1639197039&sr=8-3
If you're worried your unit might be defective, here's a comparison of the best-in-market noise canceling headphones that includes audio recordings of the performance. Comparing these to your experience might help. https://youtu.be/G7l8MU8Em5I One option that I often used to block out distractions before I had my ANC headphones was a good white noise generator. I've found the combination of that and ANC also helpful when music would be distracting. https://mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/whiteRainNoiseGenerator.php
Hi everyone, I would like to know if it is possible to integrate an additional microphone, I'd like to have one similar to this:
Thanks
I don't know about these pairs particularly, but you can always buy a bluetooth adapter for the PlayStation to get around their block on it. Amazon sells ones like this that people have success with.
Plug in a USB keyboard and hit Escape.
You could probably also use the Sony remote app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.sony.tv.pro.ipremote
Or buy a second-hand Sony remote.
Or buy a Logitech Harmony universal remote.
Or shake your fist at the menu and use harsh language. Your mileage may vary with this one.
