What is Reddit's opinion of PPSSPP Gold - PSP emulator?

Take a look at the PPSSPP Gold app on the Play Store. It's literally the compiled version of the open-source PPSSPP emulator; the only differences are it has a gold icon and you get to give the devs some money (it's actually published by the devs themselves).

I feel you, rn Z5 in my hand loves to show me an afterimage of what was on screen within 1 second interval, but after warming up for about half an hour those lines and afterimages dissappear, only leaving backlight blinking like crazy, it's even visible to the eye.

As for overheat, it seems I am lucky, I am rather cold even when playing smth like Guilty Gear XXAC+ and BlazBlue CS II on PPSSPP emulator.

(Ofc, the camera app overheats on 4K, but I prefer 1080@60FPS and film in short bursts, due to memory constraints, so that's not an issue)

Right now, I am trying to make it to the finish line, hoping Sony would announce something at MWC, or I am going to buy another phone with Vulkan API support (and forget about DualShock 4 support), it gives an immense bonus in fps for PPSSPP.

People were asking for a tutorial, so here we go. I'm going to assume everyone here has little to no knowledge about this kind of stuff, so I'm going to slowly go step by step. Rather help everyone than leave one person behind.

First off, this is an ANDROID ONLY TUTORIAL USING WINDOWS! I do not have a iPhone or a Mac, so I don't know how to do it on there (if you even can).

1. Go to the Play Store and search for PPSSPP. It's a PSP emulator that you put on your phone. If you're reading this on mobile, here's a direct link. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ppsspp.ppssppgold
2. Download PPSSPP onto your phone.
3. Once it's installed, go on your computer and download the OreImo VN English Patch. You can do this one of two ways. Either go here and scroll down to the download links and click each link that contains 1 of 3 parts to the game (I would recommend clicking the mirrors). Downloading from the links on the website will help support the creators, but you will have to go through different websites that can be shady. The only one I trust is 4shared. And it's a shaky trust. In order to download, you have to sign in with an account like Facebook, Google+, Twitter, or something else. Can't remember.
4. You should now have 3 files that each contain a part of the game. Now you need to extract them. To do so, you need a .rar browser. There are two that you can use, 7zip or Winrar. I use Winrar. Download whichever one you want. They are both relatively the same.
5. Install whichever file browser you downloaded. Should only take a few seconds.
6. Open Part 1 of the game with the file browser you just installed. You should just have to double-click it, but if it doesn't work, right click the file and there should be an option in the context menu that says "Open with Winrar" (If you installed it) or "Open with 7zip" (If you installed it). Click that.
7. A window should open up that contains two files. One will say "OreImo_Tsuzuku_Disk_1_English_v1.0.iso". That's the one you need to extract. To do so, right click the file and click "Extract to specified folder" (it might say something different for 7zip, but it should have the word "Extract" and that's what you need). A menu will pop up that has all these options and words and stuff. Don't mind any of it. All you need is the bar at the top that should specify where the file will be extracted to. Usually, it will go to a folder in your Downloads that is called "OreImo_Disk1_v1." Just click OK or Accept. The file will extract on its own. You do not need to extract the other two parts. You only need to extract one part.
8. You will now have a file that ends in ".iso". This is the game. KEEP THIS WINDOW OPEN
9. Connect your phone to your computer via the USB cable (or if you use a wireless Phone-PC app, use that). If you used USB, a screen on your phone will pop up asking what state to put your phone in. Tap "Mount as disk drive." If a menu pops up on your computer asking what to do with your phone, click the button that says something like "Explore files on computer" or "Browse phone files." If the menu does not pop up, go to My Computer and under "Connected Devices" your phone should be there. Double-click it.
10. Go to your storage of choice. If you have an SD card for your phone, go there. If not, go to "Internal Storage." A bunch of folders will pop up. Click the button at the top of the window that says "New folder" or right click and select "Create new folder." Name it whatever you want. I called mine "OreImo VN." Open the folder. It will be empty.
11. Go to the window you kept open that has the game in it. Click and drag the file over to the folder you just created. The game will copy over into your phone. This may take a few minutes, as the game is 1.3gb.

And now you're all set! Close everything and eject your phone. Open PPSSPP. Under the "Games" tab, there should be a bunch of buttons that are names of your folders. Find the one that you made for the game. Tap it and it will open up the folder. The game will be inside. Tap that and OreImo will start up. Good luck with your imouto!
