"When people think Arsenal had a bad season and we’ve had a good one, yet they still finish above us, it hurts" – Harry Kane.

Getting real tired of seeing Per shy away from a ball coming at him. edit: Image of what Per needs to stop fucking doing.
And this is why Ox shouldn't play in the middle yet.
I found a video of Xavi being interviewed by Inés Sainz Gallo, the reporter mentioned in the article. There is no mention of Arsenal, only a strange discussion (initiated by the reporter) of him being a lot like a wolf.
The spanish translation for actuacion when it pertains to athletes means performance. If you just hit translate you might think that they were congratulating him on diving, but they were just telling him good game. There is nothing wrong with this imo.

I saw this post on club photographer Stuart Macfarlane's Instagram and it piqued my interest, so I googled it and found an article on arsenal.com from 2007:
> If you are travelling to Spain to watch Arsenal take on Sevilla, take a few moments outside the ground and you might just spot that a little piece of Arsenal is there already.
>Arsenal have never played Sevilla in a competitive match, but suprisingly they have already made their mark at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, the home of our Spanish opponents.
>A beautiful, and enormous, 470 square-metre mosaic was added to an external wall of the stadium during improvements made for Spain's hosting of the 1982 World Cup.
>Designed by the Spanish artist Santiago del Campo Sanchez, and built by 25 craftsmen, the mosaic depicts the Sevilla club crest surrounded by pennants bearing the names of 58 clubs from around the world.
>The teams immortalised in tile include fellow Spaniards Barcelona and Real Madrid as well as Sevilla's great rivals Real Betis (although their pennant is somewhat obscured by that of Stade Reims).
>Other notable European teams to get a mention include Juventus, Roma, Bayern Munich, Anderlecht, Sporting Lisbon and Benfica. And from further afield Independiente from Argentina and Santos from Brazil.
>Amongst all these great names from world football a simple red shield takes pride of place bearing a gold cannon under the name 'Arsenal'.
>Sevilla are planning to increase the capacity of their 45,500 stadium, and initial plans are looking to relocate the giant mural to include it in the expanded stadium design.
>All being well Arsenal will continue to be represented in this corner of Andalusia for some years to come.
Has to be Philippe Auclair imo, wrote an award winning book in English too so you don't have to worry about how comfortable he is with the language.
The full version of Football Manager 2020 is available for free on here (not sure if it will work outside UK). Be warned, this will take over your life.

Nice! For anyone else, a pro tip: Use privacy.com to create a burner credit card, and use that as the payment method for Paramount's free trial. You won't pay anything while it tries to charge that week-over-week, and will get about a month's access.
Nice to see another gooner on Github.
I would recommend choosing a colour scheme that matches your intended ‘minimal’ design.
You can select a group of colours and get the hex codes from: https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel
Well they are getting paid for it. I have friend that does storyboards for these kind of videos with no interest in fotball at all. He is very proud of his work, he gets to have it in his portfolio and I suppose for him who has more interest in other subject these promos are a fun challenge.
EDIT: here is a link to a storyboard he did for a Premier League promo (includes video): https://www.behance.net/gallery/10237277/Emil-Maxn-VIASAT-Love-Premier-League
In case any of you haven't seen it, Özil's Adidas logo is literally an 8. It's branded on the back of all of his boots, as well.
Don't want to kill your buzz or be a douchebag, mate, but just fyi I recently released a video of his season: https://vimeo.com/84492722
Made a few good saves since though, up to you if you want to make a new one.
I remember seeing a better video than that a while ago, I think this is it. I give you ten minutes of Rosicky slide tackles. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/3998895/rosicky_sliding_tackles_specialist/
He's out of order, disconnected with reality and disrespectful. When you give success to stupid people, it makes them more stupid sometimes and not more intelligent. Idk if that counts. source https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Ars%C3%A8ne_Wenger
T.J and the hat-trick is about a young man who scores a hat-trick from an offside position.
Based on his Linkedin looks like he spends a lot of time analyzing videos of prospects and putting videos together for the normal scouts who actually travel. https://www.linkedin.com/in/ben-wrigglesworth-15973031
What's embarrasing? Do you have insight into the personal coaching at Arsenal, or are you just here to defend Wenger from every criticism he gets? The state of our fans 😂
This guy is horrible. Not someone we'd want in charge. Here's a post from the last time this came up:
Here's a classified cable from Consul General Brian Browne about him. https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/05LAGOS362_a.html[1]
Basically he's a keeping his country's citizens poor to be rich himself. He's killing their economy and suppressing their democracy. In first world countries that sucks but it's not horrible for the citizens like it is in Nigeria. Here's some highlights:
"We know the company at one time or another held exclusive import rights in sugar, cement, and rice using such advantages to do volume business and undercut competitors. In a December 1996 interview, Aliko Dangote admitted that a government mandate once forced him to import so much rice that the local market crashed by almost 80 percent. The direction of GON trade barriers also suggests preferential treatment. High tariffs or outright bans on imported items favor the Group in nearly all areas in which they do business including wheat flour, cement, certain textiles, sugar and pasta."
"The special relationship Dangote holds with the GON defines the Dangote paradigm. The paradigm demonstrates how easily one powerful person can disrupt Nigeria’s floundering democratic and economic liberalization processes. Along with outright money laundering and corruption, the Dangote paradigm is arguably one of the key factors making Nigeria a politically and economically volatile country and a risky place to do business."
"Dangote and the GON, while superficially promoting manufacturing in some sectors, is causing destructive and derailing economic activity and democracy in other areas."
It's just a browser extension, FireShot. Used to be firefox only, but now across most browsers as an add-on. Just install and hit the button to capture the whole page.
Once grabbed, I then cropped the sidebar of shame and empty-headed comments through imgur.
Football fandoms are imagined communities: we don't have anything that binds us together physically other than a love for Arsenal F.C. and what that club stands for. A while ago, you could have divided local fans to everyone else but the truth is it matters little because the club itself wants all kinds of fans: those hardcore who passed their love from generation to generation that live nearby, those who are similarly hardcore who live far away and seek out a pilgrimage to a game someday(I'm in this camp!) and then there are some perhaps like yourself who wants to pick and stick. My only advice is to embrace everything: North London, the Club, the players, the chants, the staff....everything because it has an identity that binds to you just as you bind to it!
I love this club. In a very generic statement: the Arsenal way is now the classy way. Has been historically to the days of pioneers like Herbert Chapman to modern managers like Wenger. Welcome to the club.

^That's a link to our past seasons from 1970-2013 season by season. I'm not saying you MUST learn everything, but once you embrace something you tend to want to know more about it.
And if there's one thing I ask of you: treat anything Piers Morgan says with fire....he represents the fickle, evil, most dangerous fan who dares calls himself a gooner.
It's out on bluray and download starting 20 November. You can preorder on amazon now.
If you're referring to moving from 4-4-2 with pace and power to 4-3-3 with tippy-tappy midgets, it wasn't that far off ... the 07/08 squad was brilliant to watch and with a bit more experience in the side could have done something special.
I hate it when the media are right but they all said we needed a few more experienced heads and they were right.
Incidentally I was watching the season reviews of 06/07, 07/08, 08/09 the other day - thanks to the amazing person who posted them all here - and I'd forgotten just how young those squads were.
Fotmob: https://www.fotmob.com/teams/9825/stats/arsenal/teams
Big chances created - 7
Big chances missed - 10 (3 more than we created apparently)
What is this maths?
Just for clarification OP, is this World Football Club Crests by Leonard Jägerskiöld Nilsson?
I'm running RES and have to click "My subreddits" for it to pop up. It shows a more detailed view etc, but most importantly it's the top layer, meaning that nothing obscures it. If you don't have RES, I recommend it for that reason alone, and then there's the several other reasons to get it.
Our away from is also decent. We have 14 league games left out of which 7 are away games. Arsenal are no 1 in the away games table and have scored just one goal less than City.
We've actually scored more goals in away games than in home games. How bout that eh.
We are also 4th in the home games only table.

PlayStation offers a TV option now called Vue, base package (~$29.99) gets you access NBCSN. And you can just log into NBCSN's website/app with your PlayStation account as if it were Comcast or RCN. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/
Pretty much what you said it would look like.
I think this would look very sexy with gold details, similarly to Man City's kit from last season.

You can use a VPN and connect to the UK then sign into your Amazon Prime account.
I live in Amsterdam and have used NordVPN (which I pay for) to connect to an IP address in the UK and I can get it.
Make sure you clear your cache/cookies.
I used starsports all of last year and after I did extensive research I ended up using EarthVPN, it's $3.99 a month, and you can add extras like mobile use as well. It has 4 locations in India, I usually use Chennai, it's generally the best. I only have about 1.7Mb/s Internet and it hardly ever stops in a game. I also love starsports as you can watch full game replays after the games, really hands down the best service out there!
http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/words/apostrophe
"Personal names that end in –s
With personal names that end in -s: add an apostrophe plus s when you would naturally pronounce an extra s if you said the word out loud:
He joined Charles’s army in 1642.
Dickens's novels provide a wonderful insight into Victorian England.
Thomas's brother was injured in the accident.
Note that there are some exceptions to this rule, especially in names of places or organizations, for example:
St Thomas’ Hospital
If you aren’t sure about how to spell a name, look it up in an official place such as the organization’s website.
With personal names that end in -s but are not spoken with an extra s: just add an apostrophe after the -s:
The court dismissed Bridges' appeal.
Connors' finest performance was in 1991."
I also like this from Martin Laurence and the Guardian surprise package of the 2015-2016 season : Aston Villa.
There's also this collection of Season Reviews (inc 49 unbeaten, '70-71, and '86-87 right through to '12/13), and also all 99 goals from 2013/14
Can't remember who put these up but they did a great job
Well, you did get a discussion going. A discussion about downvotes that adds nothing to the sub. Nobody is being a troll, more people just need to read the reddiquette
I found some here.
You could field a pretty impressive team : Lehmann (88) - A.Cole (87), Campbell (93), Touré (88), Lauren (89) - Pirès (92), Gilberto (89), Vieira (93), Ljunbjerg (88) - Bergkamp (90), Henry (97)
There are trains going North from St Pancras, but none seem to be going directly on Bank Holiday weekend.
You'll have to interchange a few times and journeys could take you 4-5 hours each.
As someone else suggested, have a look at https://www.thetrainline.com.
The best I'm seeing for outbound:
9:30 London St Pancras -> 11:04 Leicester
11:19 Leicester -> 11:42 Nuneaton
11:47 Nuneaton -> 13:08 Liverpool Lime Street
Very tight schedule, but even if you miss one of them, the next train should get you to Liverpool in good time.
You could go through Birmingham, but you have to take a train from Marylebone instead of St Pancras.
You complain about it, then link to their page
Don't do it, use something like http://web-capture.net/
This is the result

Which reminds me, I need to upload the rest of those reviews that are missing.
I think it's pretty good. You got some info there, it reads ok and provides a decent overview of the past two years. What I think could be improved:
These are just ideas I've learnt from copywriters but I'm not one myself so take it with a grain of salt.
What I would do if I were you is to go to The Athletic (you can get some trials for free), download a lot of articles and analyze them. Some of my copywriting friends even go as far as they rewrite articles of their favourite authors word for word. It helps them understand how they were put together and use these ideas in their own work.
I'm pretty wary of selling things online, no offense bud :/
I'd have to ship it from Belgium regardless, I think it'd probably be cheaper to buy one from Amazon. They still have an XXL here for $50 if you're interested though.
Came from the Guardian's rumor mill section (not from Guardian football sources). So nothing legitimate about that number.
wordpress is a good shout.
Pretty intuitive and has multiple templates. All you need would be to set your account up and you can share the link to your page created to gain traction.
hey there i checked but all the videos of this question were copyrighted :( here is a link to another question.. Strangely about their favourite ice cream flavour enjoy http://www.metacafe.com/watch/7038827/rapid_response_what_is_your_favourite_ice_cream_flavour/
Was listening to a podcast during Rog Bennett's "American Fiasco" series and, as a counter point, one of his guests had some interesting takes on why 'soccer' isn't super popular in the US, TLDR: not enough scoring and the USA, as a whole, isn't good enough to compete globally creating an inferiority complex.
I'll link it here since it was a thought-provoking episode.
Sorry if this seemed to be a misguided post in context; the point for sharing this is to represent the generation of fans that the US will age out, based on the facts from above. I found a Gallup poll from Jan 2018 that shows soccer is on a major upward trend in amongst my age group (18-34).
It was at the 24 min mark of the first half, which can be found on this link: http://www.footballtarget.com/2014/01/full-match-aston-villa-vs-arsenal-premier-league/
(28:20 in the video)
If anyone knows how to make a gif from there would be nice
Also just found this, 0:55 on this video
You could be right, my source was Livescore, then click on Statistics.
If you can find me a second source, I'll gladly alter the stats.
Yes let's get rid of the greatest manager this club has ever had and our current, more than competent CEO if they offer a contract extension to a guy who is easily in the top 0.0001% of the world's population at football. Let's do that.

That's a great idea, and you know what? We should start shitting in the urinals while we're at it.

You enormous twat.
[Fox Soccer 2 Go](www.foxsoccer2go.com) They have a free 7 day trial. Just cancel the trial after the game. If you aren't in USA, then just install Hola Unblocker. Free HD stream
no MOTD...there was only one game and on a monday. MOTD i think is only on weekends.

best i can get you so far....this is the prematch that would piss you off, unless you know the results lol.
I have to figure out how to cut out the other segments from the match. Can anyone recommend a program?
Watch these. This is the official 2-hour history of Arsenal. You dont need to watch anything else.
Courtesy : /u/rophel
This gDrive I made has all the season reviews I could find (1986-2012 as well as 1970) and the Official History.
I think there is an updated Official History video though.
Check Amazon, they have a lot of options, just saw this one that I may pickup
So...I'm looking to buy a Subbuteo set before Christmas.
Is there anything I should keep in mind? Is one better than the other? Different materials used etc? I've just mainly been looking on Amazon.
It's something that didn't really make its way to Iceland back when it was a thing but I have friends living here who are originally from continental Europe who grew up playing it, want to bust it out as a surprise during Christmas cozy season.
You'd need to get three subscriptions to watch all the legal games = 1) Sky Sports (Now TV, a sky service, provide sky sports passes which could be cheaper), 2) BT Sport and 3) I believe Amazon now have a few games around December. I can't remember who has the cups but might be BBC, in that case you'd need a TV licence to watch it live.
I'm subbed to BT Sport as part of my broadband sub and then used to use Sky Sports Mobile (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nxp.sky.skysportstv.google) and then mirror my screen using a Chromecast.
As you said 3pm games aren't showed so people use other means... I've found pubs can sometimes show the big 3pm games.
Feels very behind the times in the UK tbh and frustrating that lots of other countries can watch all the games while we're stuck with high priced subs and we can't even watch all the games!
Hope you enjoy your move to the UK!
As people have said, don't use Hola, but for less than $40 a year you can get Private Internet Access VPN which has worked great for me.
Add that to Now TV ($202.69) and you get less than $240 a year. Still pretty expensive.
I'd definitely say that's either your Internet speed / connection or your DNS proxy, which I find to be notoriously unreliable. I regularly watch games live on starsports with no problems at all, so I'm confident in saying it's not at their end. Either way that sucks, sorry man.
Edit: I use EarthVPN at $4 a month.
I think they block it cause they want you to view it through official bundesliga broadcasts or something.
I actually just watched the season review from 07/08 yesterday so this is perfect timing! I'm really excited to see how we are going forward this year, because 12/13 was awful attacking wise, and 13/14 saw us start to get back to some beautiful play (The Wilshere and Rosicky goals come to mind). But in 07/08 we were so deadly going forward and so much quicker on the break, which is interesting because the team itself wasn't necessarily faster. There are some interesting similarities between these two teams - both are built around a world class attacking midfielder with brilliant distribution, and both have big strong strikers who are good in the air. 07/08 saw Nik along side Adebayor often, and right now we have Giroud and Sanogo. Sadly I think Giroud is the weak link here, slowing down what should be a lightening fast counter attacking team. Unless he uses his first touch, he often can't do much with the ball. I think if we have Alexis up top, we're going to see some devastating pace and flowing moves this year. At the moment, 07/08 is better for me, but I can't wait to be proven wrong.
Arsenal are hoarding liquid cash reserves, (like Apple and Ikea) my only guess is this was a gamble that has backfired spectacularly since the Chinese clubs have entered the global transfer market.
Looking forward to this game, should be a relatively easy win but saying that usually means it'll be the opposite.
Couldn't find any match facts on the game just yet, might find some as the game gets closer.
Mate, you know how this ends. I will respond to every one of your posts pointing out how wrong you are, calling you an idiot. People will come along and downvote you to hidden - I will get the last word, which will be a dig at you and a solid point destroying your argument, and you will leave in a huff.
Save yourself the energy, or keep going, either way I get what I want. :)
>No they wouldn't, even by the stretched definitions you've provided that wouldn't be the case, you buffoon. 'Exponential' doesn't just mean some increases.
>Except I'm not wrong lmao
Here's Jon Butterworth explaining very thoroughly that you are. Enjoy the read, if you can manage it.
I know, English is hard. :( Chin up mate, GCSEs are over soon.
Wenger made note of an adjustment period upon Gabriel's acquisition, saying that he's the first defender he ever bought who didn't know any English. Not sure if the communication problems are exclusive to the keeper, as you suggest, but I don't doubt that the language barrier could have affected his performances and interactions with other teammates
> THE ENGLISH FANS ARE NOT BLAMELESS. > Maybe the English fans shouldn't have provoked them, but the blame for the attack lies with the ultras who attacked them, not the fans chanting stuff that wouldn't be out of place at any Premier League ground.
I think you are mistaken, i dont know what they chanted specifically at the game in question, but you should read what they chanted before the game. Some of these chants would probably result in a very juicy fine and/or the club being forced to play at a empty stadium for a few games.
Isis chants/Jihadi john/IRA etc. You dont hear that very often in EPL.

Anyway, fuck it. There are assholes on both sides, lets agree on that and leave it, my /r/gunners karma is shitty enough already.
I think it's the new Google+ Stories. Found this article on them and it looks very similar to the Ozil thing.
Not sure it's fully working as it's asking me to upload photos when I already have loads on G+. Either that or it's an automatic only thing. Article doesn't really state either way.
Arsenal's season reviews from 1968 to 2012. I found it over at /r/footballhighlights for anyone interested.
Not sure if you've seen this but the Head of Youth Development at Bengaluru FC revealed this essay by a youth player who was told he was not good enough: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/cheating-youth-level-essay-richard-hood?trk=prof-post
It reveals one of the big reasons India is behind. So ya, Udanta Singh, not really a young super talent. Same with Uttam Rai, Sandesh Jhingan etc.
''Free loading scum'' - guilty as charged. Listening to it and joining in on the banter on the Facebook group page makes getting over a painful defeat a lot easier.
Apparently I misrembered. What happened was 3 lawyers who had no affiliation with United, claimed to represent United, rocked up at the Spanish League's head office and tried to activate his buyout clause on United's behalf. Here's a Guardian article:
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/sep/04/manchester-united-ander-herrera-transfer-farce
Bizzare as fuck, basically.
What, with Elneny and Gabriel? They're both young, Elneny has been very good and it's clear he's dedicated and intelligent. And honestly, I feel Gabriel's biggest problem is he doesn't speak English, his attitude and energy are excellent. Going further back, Welbeck has suffered with injuries, Chambers is still very young and shows promise, Ospina has been very good, and Debuchy just didn't work out due to a confluence of factors. Anyway, these are squad players. I'm assuming the decisions to purchase Cech, Sanchez, Ozil were less driven by StatsDNA. True, we haven't unearthed a Mahrez...but then again we just head-hunted the guy who did find him. In short, I am pretty bullish about our transfer strategy.
Also, this article from the Guardian at the time of Gabriel's purchase should illuminate somewhat the role of StatsDNA. Briefly, it is not like we are saying "well his numbers are so good for the price, guess we better sign him."
edit: Not that I really know what you meant, or that I'm super critical of your comment. Just felt the need to say all that.
Try using Bloodzeed. He always streams the games on Sky Sports and ESPN (UK) in great quality. Just download sopcast then paste sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/132927 into the address bar.
I got it here. Thought it might be counterfeit but it's the real deal! Have to wait a month or so for delivery obviously...
I'm guessing we could buy those and get them engraved with the logo?
edit: also: http://www.colorware.com/imagegalleries.aspx?galFilter=5 they have a pair of these somewhere among there, but they're not for sale. :/
Pedant alert: Liverpool actually have the best away record in the league. We're 2nd on GD. We do have the highest number of away wins.
http://www.livescore.com/soccer/england/premier-league/table-away/
Not sure if Now TV is available in the US, but if it is you can buy a day pass for £7 or so - it's Sky's "pay as you go" service so is nice and legal, and will be HD and stable (assuming the service is the same as it is in the UK).
I don't think so. Certainly a downside. However, USA and NBC will also show matches alongside NBCSN so I guess that's somewhat of a plus. Here are the latest listings and a channel guide for Arsenal straight from the official website.
Also, here is Sling TV's channels if you want to check.
Today's game is being broadcast on BEIN Sports in the US.
If you have a dishworld subscription, you can currently get a month free that will let you watch the game tonight, just remember to cancel your subscription before the month is up.
Even if you don't cancel, it's only $10/month and BEIN tends to have most of La Liga, Ligue 1, and some Serie A on there, so it might be worth it.
You can get a subscription here
First, convert that .WAV file to mp3! :)
Second, this link might be helpful:

I used Libsyn as the host for my podcast. Not sure if there are better or cheaper options out there these days.
If you can afford it buy it, but if not available near you or you can't afford it I am sure no one would deny you the experience..

Without any geographical reason for you to work with, I would suggest watching as many matches as possible and see who you gravitate towards. Let it happen naturally, imo, that or find a different reason to back a club - do you have any friends/family in the UK? Any friends/family in the states that support a club? But if you're already interested in Arsenal, I recommend catching up on their history with the videos in this link: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B80CNNjI1ET0X2tKWl9FNkExQzQ&usp=drive_web#list
They're a quick and enjoyable way to get caught up.
Good luck with your reading lessons mate. I'm happy to chip in a few quid so you can get this.
There's an interesting book about scouts in England called The Nowhere Men if you're interested in getting a closer look at what it looks like.
Don't use extensions as it could be p2p which means someone else uses your IP for whatever fuckedup shit they want. Vpns are cheap and use a trustworthy one like NordVPN which is the best in my opinion.
? it's not blocked. Here's the segment on the Premier League's own website: maybe this will work for you? If not, you can get around region blocking, e.g. Zenmate
Just a note, use BeIN sports global package in the Middle East and you will get 16 HD channels and they are running a $95 annual deal right now. They have all premier league and champions league games. Some have only Arabic commentary, but that sounds better than most English commentary.
Also, PureVPN is doing a promotion buy one year get one free. Turns out to be only $2 a month.
Allow me to plug The Charm City Gooners!. I've only been in the Baltimore, MD area for about a month now, but I've really enjoyed the matches I've been able to watch with them at the local bar/pub.
Though I was away, the Charm City Gooners just held their first annual pub crawl with the local Liverpool supporters club. They raised money for a charity, drank lots of beer, and watched soccer/football!
It helps that the Arsenal America president also happens to reside in Baltimore... but it's a great time!
