Have you tried using an Xbox One or PS4 controller, or otherwise? There are specialty controllers built for disabilities, and it may be that there is one that can help with your tremors (I didn't find one in my brief search just now). At the very least, it may be easier to manipulate than a mouse/keyboard, though even for an able-handed person it can take getting used to!
That hairstyle is the runner up from the hairstyle design contest! It's finally in!
Ok, ok, ok... so he did this before.
In this article, long before Dark Knight and Machinist were announced, he dropped both of them.
I even speculated Machinist when I found that article and no one believed me!
Calling it now - Red Mage confirmed!
"Perhaps SE will consider adding a title for this accomplishment" ↑Sorry but this was already answered at the Japanese Niconico chokaigi event in 2014. A guy asked YoshiP he wanted a title for completing all Zenith/Animus/Novus weapons but YoshiP answered that if they added such a title, some players would think the Devs expect people to complete all of them and feel forced to do it. Yoship doesn't want people to feel that way so they scrapped the idea and have no plans to add it in the future. Source:13:51~ http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm23421361
A lot of popular JP screenshot artists make insane use of this minion, even during daytime. Coupled with the "look at camera" feature, you can make some pretty wonderful pieces of art!
A few of my favorites include Ayura (http://ayuchoco.com/) and Asuko (https://www.flickr.com/photos/108300308@N06/), check them out!
Brought on Balana Rahl(Elysium) and Evi Sama(Angered) to talk about the world race. Also brought on Arthars who has a pretty decent insight into the JP community.
Warning: It's a 2 hour long podcast.

As soon as your place is set up and decorated the way you want (You can visit other venues for ideas), there really isn't that much else to do.
It's heavily recommended to set up a menu/website for your place, almost every place uses https://carrd.co/ to do so. You could also just have a macro that /tell your menu to the person, but it's rather annoying as a customer to have to try and digest it that way, especially if the menu is long IMO.
When it comes to selling items you can be as creative or as standard as you want. Check out the cooking crafting log. Look at the menus of other venues. Try to figure out something that works for your own venue. If it's a smaller venue then getting about 40-50 of each food item you want to sell should keep you stocked for a decent amount of time. If you're able to, crafting the items yourself HQ so that it has your signature on it can make your place seem higher quality overall. Not everyone notices, but some do, so it's worth it if you have CUL levelled.
In terms of wages it's really whatever you want to do with it. I know some places where it's just groups of friends who don't really care about getting paid, in other places it's a base payment + tips, and in other places it's just a straight up split of whatever revenue was made that night. Keep in mind that unless your business is somehow extremely profitable with a constant stream of customers and lots of big tippers, you're very likely to be taking a loss each night if you pay your staff (depending on how payment is done). However you do it, as long as you and all of your staff are on the same page and happy with it, then it's fine.
Really the only kind of RP places that make serious money is ERP brothels and such where they charge a couple hundred thousand per session. Apart from that RP is a pretty horrible way to make consistent money.
For those that don't know, it was revealed during the Nico Super FATE that at night, there's a slight (<1%) chance of an npc in white robes holding a severed head popping up on your screen for a few frames, anywhere in the 3 main cities.
The client also really enjoyed FFXI lore, especially concerning Blue Mages, and so we incorporated the outfit, weapon, and spell from said lore.

A few months ago, people were posting FFXIV Frozen parodies in the subreddit. Someone left a comment on one of them asking if anyone could record themselves singing it. I was feeling reckless so I thought I'd give it a go.
A little while later it came to my attention that someone in Japan used the recording and made the video that's this post. It's hosted on a Japanese video website (and you need an account to watch it) so I thought I'd put it on YouTube.
Just want to reiterate that I did not write this, credit goes to /u/little_ogre - [original post here].
Hope it makes you laugh (or cringe)! :)
Before you drop money on glasses with a yellow tint try out f.lux.
Gaming glasses are designed to filter out blue light, something that you can do just by changing the colours your screen is showing you.
This is a great example. Like why on earth would you just randomly have an open spot in your lower back? Might as well add a sign that says "Stab here please."
Hoping that the Regal tunic of aiming is added to the game first, since I like the aesthetically pleasing design that it has and hope that we're allowed to see our ears in the final product if they add it. I doubt it though.
I don't expect to see them until next expansion though.

> "It's raw garbage to borrow the power of the tiger."
This is a play on the expression 虎の威を借る狐, "fox that borrows the authority of the tiger". Commentator is saying like "they're garbage who are acting like it's a big deal [when it's just a video game]".
How do you confirm if the EE is English or not? here is the link to the EE2 that I found--is it simply the fact the title's in English?
Cause I live in Canada and yeah the 50$ USD shipping is the worst.
Edit: wow, going through the process to the cart and shipping estimate gives me a 5150 yen total. 63$ CAD. That's awesome.
So as a Canadian trying to find the cheapest option while getting something of worth.
Spiderman for PS4 is on for $19.99 and qualifies. Ships for $5. I just so happened to have a $10 Gift Card booting around so it only ran me about $18 USD all in.
WELL I'M STUCK HOME FEELING HORRIBLE BUT THAT'S OKAY. I CAN'T RAGE BECAUSE I HAVE A CAT NOW. HER NAME IS ALLIE PICKLES AND SHE'S THE SWEETEST THING EVER!

I'm pretty sure they do know, or Louisoix and Minfillia did, at least. From Tales of the Calamity, The Walker's Path: >!The Archon’s plan was to summon the Twelve using forbidden arts known only to him. With their combined strength, he was certain that he could prevent the fall of the lesser moon. Such strength, however, posed a threat in itself. Should Eorzea’s patron deities assume physical form, it seemed more than likely that they would be prone to the same appetites as the gods of the beastmen. Should that prove the case, their mere presence would bleed the land of life. And so Louisoix would instead call upon a fraction of the Twelve’s power—enough to stay Dalamud’s descent, and no more.!< Maybe they didn't name them primals, but they certainly compared them to the primals and noted that summoning them carried the same risks, so I think they guessed at least.
your camera positioning is the issue here. You spend the first 5s not actually in the tether's path - you move into it 1s before the tether jumps to you.

To copy all character settings between characters (not just HUD layouts:)
Navigate to this folder and figure out which one is your main character (usually the biggest one / whichever has a ton of files in the "log" subdirectory)[](#s "don't ask why i have so many")
Figure out which folder is for the character you want to transfer it to (can be trial and error, look for most recent dates modified on the files in the folder
Copy and replace all files from the main character in question's folder to the new character's folder. Don't change the folder names in XIV - ARR.
Maybe consider making copies of the folders with name labels for future convenience.
Direct from Razer, sure. On Amazon it's $80 for the version with membrane switches and $100 for mechanical.

The media tour was done remotely due to COVID, but attendees weren't given a special client to download. Instead, a remote computer was running the media tour build and players controlled it through a streaming app called Parsec.
The discord notifications are unfortunately from the remote computer, likely the staff from the event who were assigned to monitor each attendee's gameplay and didn't realize their discord notifications were bleeding into recordings.
C'est la vie!

You could probably find them online if you can't afford to buy them. Working through those books and practicing what they teach will help you see massive improvements. As much as people will say to just keep practicing, it's important that you practice correctly lest you get into bad habits.
For everyone who is dealing with this, I'm sorry. I've been burned by the SE Store enough to raise a stink about it over Twitter and get replies from Matt Hilton and even once, Soken himself.
For about two years now I've only ordered XIV merch from Amazon.co.jp - please take a look before you go to the SE store, especially for OSTs.
Here is the link for the Shadowbringers physical OST. Looks like it'll be back in stock on September 22: https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B07W423TPF/
I can't speak for other countries but I know that they ship incredibly fast to the US. On top of that, you can change the website language so that all the information regarding ordering and payment is in English.
You pay just about the same for international shipping there as you would for domestic shipping at the SE store. I really, really would love someone from SE to comment on how terrible their store and store customer service are with the taking payment but never shipping, no communication, etc. But I think the sad truth of it all is that the corporation Square Enix just does not care as long as they get your money.
These stories either happen in the past or alongside the main story, they aren't integral to the story but they provide a backstory for some major NPCs or a window to what they are doing when you don't see them around. You definitely should read it all, along with

There's actually official accounts written from the perspective of the various Grand Company leaders (and even Louisoux) covering most of what you probably would like to know, and you can find those here!
The best program I've used is called Open Broadcaster Software.
You can find the site here - https://obsproject.com/
This allows live streaming or just local recording, very simple and easy to use. Doesn't strain your CPU so you can enjoy the game as you normally would.
And FFXIV's had transmogrification since March of 2014.
WoW didn't have saved sets or specification specific transmogrification until Legion, in August of last year.
Do GW2 and Diabolo 2 have multiple classes/specializations on the same character?
As a software developer, it's not really all that uncommon to have weird bugs like this, especially when you have multiple groups of programmers working on the same project. Sometimes you'll have glitches caused by bugs in a completely different system!

This is a typical case of gambler's fallacy. The jumbo cactpot numbers are independent events, the outcome A happening has no influence on the outcome of B happening, A in this case being the first number and B being the second.

The Japanese community use the term 'Wakaba' 若葉 (new leaves) referring to sprouts, but the official websites mostly uses 'Beginner' 初心者/ビギナー to refer to these players. Both of these terms are interchangeable and everyone knows.
In case you are wondering, Wakaba is not limited to FFXIV. It's a Japanese word that is used to described youth. Besides 14, There's also the 若葉マーク Wakaba Mark that's used to indicated people who has got their driver's license within a year.
Sure! I use Pi-hole ( /r/pihole/ or https://pi-hole.net/ ). As the name implies, it was made to run on a Rasberry pi, but I have it running on my fedora server with no issues.
It works as a DNS relay, so you simply point the DNS on your router to it, and the Pi to your DNS of choice (google for me), and Pi-hole drops anything matched by the blacklist. It's not a replacement for browser-based, but it's great for devices that are difficult/impossible to put adblocking on (such as the aforementioned iPad).
If you live in the US, the book is cheaper on Amazon JP. 3240円 (edit: 3000, actually, cause duty free possibly?) for the book, and 950円 for S+H to the US. With the current conversion rate, that comes out to $35.00 and is cheaper than the book w/o S+H on the NA store. If you've shopped using Amazon JP before, you can also use your points towards some cash off on the artbook.
All of the artbooks are in Japanese (including the ones sold on the NA store) with commentary from the staff in both languages. The minion code also works in any region.
If you can't read Japanese, click the globe in the top right and select "English - EN" and it will translate the page and other shopping features for you.
If you don't want to pay for the keyring one, there is a free app that does exactly the same thing.
And in any case, copy your emergency removal password somewhere, it's what is used to get your account back if you lose the keyring or uninstall the app. Can find it by login in your SE account after setting up one time password.
Library on GMG has nothing to do with your purchases, thats for if you link your steam account to see what games you own.
You need to check the purchases tab
Also, you dont get your main game code until tomorrow when the game "launches".
I'm gonna just echo most of what's being said, but first off: I personally don't think it's a very helpful thing to do to post up logs and blatantly lie to people. Like, following through the name into a search on fflogs reveals that this particular player has *never* parsed over 5000 dps in any run that has been uploaded for Sigmascape or Suzaku. Your anecdotal 6000 must have been someone else.
That said, someone else linked to my guide up above, which I recommend you forward to the drg in question, if they actually want to not be dead weight. They do not currently understand the rotation (GCD flow) nor do they understand the relationship between off-gcd actions and gcd actions - the very basics of how to play DPS jobs in this game. This is not DRG-specific issues; you can probably explain these things to them before even worrying about trying to teach them an opener or anything else.
They need a lot of work, and they're starting nearly from scratch. You can feel free to send them my way directly, either here on reddit or over discord (my tag is in the linked guide) if they want more direct tutoring, as it were. I'm always happy to help a DRG in need!
No judgement from me on the picture, and I wish we got all the Chocobro's outfits. If you want you can check out ShareX, it's a great program that makes screenshots easy. You can make gifs and videos too, and have them automatically uploaded to imgur, Google Drive, or a bunch of other places if you link your accounts. Link is here if you're interested!
Probably the short stories? Like Tales from the Dragonsong War and Tales from the calamity.
Well the biggest change we will likely see is media queries being used to build mobile friendly subreddits as right now there is no default mobile, these are simple to do.
Gradients can be added, there tools that can do this for you, http://www.colorzilla.com/gradient-editor/ is the most common used one.
Then there are shadows, text-shadow for example but wont look all that great on a light theme.
You can also attach on transition to stuff, so hovers and the like automatically transiton and fade, which is nice :D
A great addition is the box-sizing, as it can prevent the width from increasing when adding padding, super simple and super nice.!!
And like i mentioned in that other post, box-shadow is standard with css3 so you don't need prefixes XD a lot of prefixes have gone for specific elements.
I don't mind helping wherever, I spend a lot of time on reddit so got time to look at anything!
In case anyone doesn't want to pay for shipping on the SE store, the artbook is also available on Amazon - same cost, also free Prime shipping.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/1646091221/ref=nav\_timeline\_asin?\_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Sure. I made a post about it from a few weeks ago.
> If anyone is interested in grabbing the Japanese version, it's available for pre-order on Amazon Japan and releases in December. It can be shipped internationally, and there's a "See this page in English" button if you can't read Japanese. The book itself is 3000 yen, then shipping to the US is 900 yen. This winds up being $31.70 with the current conversion rate.
> If the artbook for A Realm Reborn is any indicator, then the English release of the Ishgard artbook will actually be more expensive at $39.99.
They wanted a link to the Amazon product page for the game, where it should show the FFXIV promo under the promotions list. Example: https://www.amazon.com/Persona-5-Standard-PlayStation-4/dp/B01GKHJP98/
>Special offers and product promotions
>Platform: PlayStation 4 | Edition: Standard
>Any video game purchase of $19.99 or greater on Amazon.com will qualify you to receive an Amazon promotional code that will grant you three exclusive pieces of DLC for Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood! Codes will be sent within 48 hours of purchase. Here's how (restrictions apply)
I looked up BotW for Switch and it didn't have that message, because it was being sold by a third-party company. Only items sold directly from Amazon qualify for the XIV promo.
Also available on Amazon Japan.
FYI its the Japanese version NOT the English version. Just sharing for those that prefer amazon.
Very much in keeping the venerated tradition of using gorgeous, chained-up blondes to sell MMOs.
Miasma 2 is net 70 potency (20 up front, 10/tick on DoT, 15s duration so 5 ticks). It is less efficient per GCD compared to Ruin/II (80 potency) unless
-You apply Contagion, in which case it becomes 120 potency for that one application
-You hit multiple enemies
This is all I found:
> The Samurai tries something new with FFXIV, beginning his life at level 50. In order to play the Samurai, you’ll need to have at least played through the FFXIV 2.0 story (as well as the Red Mage). The Praetorium story is what leads up to the 2.0 regions of the game, and it’s here that the Red Mage and Samurai guild masters can be found and used to play the jobs. Source
For some reason, I believe the idea is that since you're not in the thick of things with a ranged character, you can have more style and less armor to your gear (when history shows that's kinda dumb) but we're also running on Final Fantasy styles here - while tactical may be cool, it doesn't fit the aesthetic of a heavily anime inspired series like Final Fantasy.
That said, I really hope this one gets in. It's a really nice bridge between Final Fantasy styles and modern military styles. Perfect? Not by a long shot, but it DOES look good.
I have a set of meme raise macros I use. The first one says "Hello everyone, <t>'s raise today was sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends!"
The second is the same, but for NordVPN. I use them each once per instance max, after that I raise with no macro. No need to spam chat.
I also have class-specific ones, but I rarely use them anymore.
Direct link to Amazon since I have no idea what that site is (not gonna click on my work computer lol).

Picked one up, it'll be a belated gift for a friend. :D
Honestly i used to do stuff like this all the time. But it still felt way too busy for me. So i bought a mouse with 12 buttons on the side as i play a lot of mmos. It's honestly so nice i only use my keyboard for WASD, CTRL, ALT and Shift. Everything else is bound to my mouse. I could never go back now.
If you're looking to get one i recommend (like many) the Razer Naga. Or if you're on a budget (Like me) I found this one on amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/UtechSmart-Programmable-programmable-Customizing-Manufacturers/dp/B00FNKMVUO
It does the job and I've no complaints with it. It even comes with it's own program so you can change the macros on it.
Here is my UI in game: https://imgur.com/2MCLAr0
If you're just getting a code, go to amazon and buy Stormblood.
If you're playing off Steam, buy it off steam.
If you want the physical, yes, that will cost shipping.
The best thing to do to avoid this is to get an authenticator. You can get a physical one or, like me, an app for your phone. It's a little app that gives you a 6 digit number which is valid for a couple of seconds and you have to type it in alongside your normal password when you log into the game or your account through a browser etc.
It's not only to prevent these "change password every time I change IPs" thing but it also makes your account a lot safer (very, VERY low chance of getting hacked, nobody except the person with the authenticator - which is usually you - has access to the account).
Highly recommended!
ARR wasn't the expansion. o.o
ARR is a brand new game, built from the ground up. It is not part of 1.0.
"Naoki Yoshida is keen to stress one thing above all else about Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn: that it is neither an expansion nor a patch update, but is instead a brand new game."
Buying Endwalker unlocks the previous expansions 'when Endwalker launches'. You need to either buy the Starter Edition or Complete Edition first though before you can use an Endwalker key.
Complete Edition is on sale at Green Man Gaming. It only costs a little bit more than the Starter Edition and will give you access to the expansions now:

It doesn't run full screen, however, unless you find a special DX9 .dll out there somewhere, which I can't find anymore.
It is limited to 720p & 1080p.
A few people expressed interest in the layout I built. *Here's a screenshot, and the files (filedropper) for that. (if you have a better suggestion for uploading, let me know)
They don't exactly conform to the structure /u/rdmty is trying to create. I had used the icons from another layout (my apologies, I don't remember who did it first) and didn't want to rename all the file/references according to the new structure.
Just extract to the "resources" directory that comes with the Overlay plugin and select my miniparse-kyitrai.html file as the URL in the plugin. Should work; I tested on the dummy before packing this up. There's not much for configuration or options, but there's comments strewn all about if you want to look inside.
Yes - Summoner is an awesome job!
All DPS roles have their pros and cons, but given that you have a personal bias to the aesthetics then perhaps that should merit wanting to try things further. I'd argue the difficulty curve, while a little steeper initially, is overrated and once you overcome the initial hurdles is a pretty fun job to play.
If you're interested in learning the job you're more than welcome to join us in the summoner channels at The Balance with ~rank Summoner, or even just going over my pin document of resources.
Because it got deleted and replaced with a new CM featuring the Miqo'te without said ears.

According to this, the twins would be sixteen years old.
Gameplay wise we learn spells in a certain order, but that doesn't necessarily mean it works the same for everyone.
He and Alisaie are 16 years old, so his lack of experience on the battle due to his young age and diplomatic nature would explain his limited kit in my opinion.
Everyone should us an adblocker for all of their browsers, the ad the OP is describing has been a real thorn in my side for a while now because it masquerades itself as your ISP by grabbing your IP's who-is info and integrating into the javascript pop-up. It's a scam not a virus, they trick you into calling them for support, it's often pushed out by the same folks that call you out of the blue claiming they're MS and that they found a virus on your machine and that they will give you support for a fee.
I will not browse anything except through chrome of FF where I have ublock installed (former Adblock until they changed their policy to allow some ads).
If you have to use a browser that doesn't support an adblocker do yourself a favor and modify your hosts file to block known ad networks.
https://github.com/StevenBlack/hosts has a good consolidated list.
You can use HostsMan to modify your hosts file if you're not very tech savvy.
http://www.abelhadigital.com/hostsman
Ad-networks are terrible at failing to vet ad content, and ad content is all dynamic now meaning it's more than just an image on someone's site, sometime's it's links to full blocks of code from a 3rd party source all which are very good ways of letting bad guys infect your machine.
Copypasted the patch notes to a pastebin, for all you firewallers. Didn't spend time formatting, hope it worked out well.

Could try a different VPN. Are you using a paid one or free one? The free ones are almost always detected easily.

I use NordVPN paid service, which is pretty cheap, they don't log connections, and I've almost never had it detected.
I'm looking into seeing if you can route only FFXIV traffic through the VPN, and leave everything else going through your standard connection. This would be more secure (as you're not sending all of your web traffic through someone else's server somewhere) as well as faster for doing non FFXIV-related stuff. It would basically be accomplished by setting the routing table (can be done via a script) so if you're trying to access one of FFXIV's IP addresses, it'll point it toward the VPN; otherwise, it points it out your main connection.
EDIT: When you enable the VPN Gate Relay Service, that effectively means that your computer is also a VPN relay that other users can connect to. It describes this in the description when you enable the service.
This may not be an issue for some people, but it's important to be aware what enabling this feature does.
The program appears to be a functional VPN client on its own if you know a specific server that you can connect to.
Bookmarked this for future sharing. So many people in my Guild are in the New England area on FiOS and keep acting like it isn't FiOS's fault. It's been a known issue for a very, very long time that the hop between New England and Canada on FiOS is extremely bad and practically ANY VPN service would fix it.
In fact, while traveling I use TunnelBear to encrypt my connection on hotel Wi-Fi and have found that sending TunnelBear to a Canada exit often fixes almost all the lag issues I have. So this isn't specific to FiOS and often routing from major Wi-Fi providers is piped via a Cheapest Possible Route algorithm, which translates to the most congested routes.
EDIT: Used to support VoIP interconnecting for a major cable provider in the US. You wouldn't believe the crap we'd route Voice over IP over in the name of $0.10 USD.
I think you've got the wrong site, Reddit's for OOC discussion. Try AO3.
(edit: also break up the paragraphs a bit! You have a lot of potential but blocks of text are hard to read.)

This word is in the dictionary. A word isn't "real" when no one understands its definition. However if the word can be understood by the recipient, that word is officially real. Same way "selfie" is a real word. Languages constantly change and are not static, and you should probably get used to the idea of accepting new words to the English language.
Also irregardless of what you think, the game refers to the damage dealing classes as DPS, so it is ridiculous to face palm over people using terminology the game itself uses
You need to switch the profile in Nvidia Inspector to use a different game's settings. I used FFXIII-2 I believe. Works and runs pretty well giving a decent effect. However the Hud and any text, floating text, etc in the game will render entirely as 2D.
If you have the Nvidia 3D Photo Viewer, heres an album of images I took while running it. http://www.filedropper.com/nvstereoscopic3dimg
If you use RES you can filter out all [Fluff] flair posts on /r/ffxiv to keep your sub feed free of fluff posts (and any other flair you don't like). I think there may be ways to accomplish this via standard reddit as well, but I'm not familiar with how. Won't help with your snark, but may help keep your sanity.
I'd assume we'll hear more in the first half of next year. They've started developing it, but it'll probably take a bit more time. The Garo event took over a year to develop.
But here's what we last heard back in June:
> June 18, 2017 "There have been discussions with the FFXV team, and we’re getting into the more granular details. So we're hoping that we can be able to make an announcement for what we are actually doing in the near future.” Yoshida said, and emphasized that this project is something the XIV team wants to get right. “We don't want this to just be, like, an outfit making a cameo. We wanted this to have some kind of substance. I have instructed the teams to make it a piece of substantial content to enjoy.” Source
-
> June 22, 2017 - Yoshida: Plans for these are moving forward. The Final Fantasy XV team has settled down on their end. We feel that it’s going to be rather hefty in volume in terms of this crossover. Once we are able to get some visual references, some graphics available, and when we decide on timing, we’ll make sure to make an official announcement. Source
Outdated Drivers can affect your PC performance. Check they are up to date, if not, update them. Hardware = PC Parts, check all of them are well fitted on your motherboard and none weak, weak parts, specially RAM use to provoke crashes.
You can try Blue Screen viewer.. It will scan, show you the last BSODs, and what caused it, if it was a Driver just update it or revert it to a previous version.
Maybe run a full security Scan, some viruses and softwares use to interfer with your processes and provoke crashes. And most of them activate once you run something.
Otherwise, if FFXIV used to work before, you could try a System Restore, but as last resource because if it revert to a really old date you could lose ton of stuff.
GIMP is good for image manipulation (as mentioned in another comment). Other free art software is Inkscape which friends have used to do vector art from images and Kirta which is more digital art.
But depending on your use cases these are the usual suspects. All free and if you're okay with the learning curve great tools.
Is the game itself stuttering, like framerate? Or is the framerate fine but things just pause on occasion and then the game feels like it's catching back up?
You make it sound like #2, which nobody's addressing here. It sounds like you're getting packet loss or packet delay somehow. (It should be noted that you can experience this with or without anything else running alongside FFXIV - really depends on your ISP and the route between you and the servers)
Do a ping test of your datacenter and that should give you a teensy bit more insight - I am unsure what all of the domain names are for each DC, but I know that NA's should be neolobby02.ffxiv.com - if you ping that and see high ping values or timed-out messages, that is your problem.
You can also download a portable program called Ping Tracer which can visualize the latency between you and the server.
Check out DS4Windows, it may help with your issues. I had to use it to get the PS4 controller working properly on my PC.
Drove an hour and a half to microcenter to get ONE thing and she sees it and hits me with "well you don't wanna drive back all this way, do you?" so here we are. Oh and of course ROG sells a matching mouse. I literally only wanted to return a CPU cooler and swap it out for an AIO that was $25 more but I ended up spending $200.
HOW.
> go play the FF games you missed!
Playing Final Fantasy Record Keeper and getting story summaries made me realize just how much Pre-FF7 FF I missed out on. I played "FF2" and "FF3" on SNES as a kid and didn't even really know about the others.
I want to play around with the "Job System" in FFV and see what the precursor to FFT/XI/XIV is like so maybe I'll pick up the android version since it's only $8.
No. You will get access to them when Endwalker releases because you are only given a pre-order code now.
If you just started the game you can probably just pre-order Endwalker because it’ll take while to get to Stormblood.
You would have to buy the complete edition which is still on sale for 60% off at GMG if you wanted to make a Viera or Hrothgar right away tho.
Yes you can buy from Steam if you are on the SE trial. But if you'd like the discounted price without going with Steam, GMG has the regular version on sale: https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/final-fantasy-xiv-online-complete-edition/
Like automod says, you can't mix Steam and Non-Steam
However, some (LEGITIMATE) online third party stores also have sales going on right now.
A quick search found https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/final-fantasy-xiv-shadowbringers-pc/
Complete edition is 60% off on Green Man Gaming right now. Only costs a bit more than the starter edition. No other option really, that's the one to get.

for translations, this site might be better https://www.deepl.com/translator
its a translator preferred by a site, for communicating with japanese artists for hire/commissions, because of the higher accuracy in translations
That's an analog solution to a software problem! Here's a software fix:
Windows: use the magnifier tool
For players who courageously run FFXIV under WINE on GNU/Linux: xzoom (it's in most default repo's and on AUR).
:)
Greenman gaming has its on sale. just double check they send you a EU version.
You can probably combine it with random promo codes they usually have floating around to get it cheaper.
https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/final-fantasy-xiv-online-complete-edition/
You have to download the free trial through the free trial application process. You can't download the client from here: https://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/playersdownload/na/
The full client, which I linked, requires a person who registered the starter or better to the game before a free trial user can use it.
Noticed a post on the Blue Gartr forums ( http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/117146-FFXIV-concept-artwork-fanart?p=6311955&viewfull=1#post6311955 ) and looked into it. Looks like a JP player remade part of the Heavensward trailer in minecraft...
We're in Daylight savings right now. which means the majority of the country (US) recognizes DT (PDT, EDT, MDT, and CDT) rather than ST.
Since Japan doesn't deal with dumb saving of daylight ideas, it means the reset switches.
