> Hennig also wasn’t used to working with a corporation like Electronic Arts. Despite being owned by electronics giant Sony, Naughty Dog had been able to operate autonomously, in large part because they were widely perceived as the corporation’s prestige video game studio. At EA, however, things were different. “She was giving these massive presentations on the story, themes,” said one person who worked on Ragtag. “EA executives are like, ‘FIFA Ultimate Team makes a billion dollars a year.’ Where’s your version of that?”
I just checked out the Origin page for the game and there doesn't seem to be a season pass? If that's true then I'll be glad.
EA does care about the metacritic.com score though... "According to one source, EA was pressuring Visceral to hit a 90 or higher on Metacritic, the video game review aggregator that big publishers rely upon as a rubric for quality."
https://kotaku.com/the-collapse-of-viscerals-ambitious-star-wars-game-1819916152
Bandage is 5k. It's worth 2.49€ in Crystals...
Which means it's cheaper than Amazon : https://www.amazon.com/Band-Aid-Flexible-Fabric-Adhesive-Bandages/dp/B00006IDL6/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1524041618&sr=8-4&keywords=bandage
It's not like development was smooth sailing and EA just swooped in and shut it down for no reason. The kotaku postmortem paints it as one big clusterfuck attributed to both EA and Visceral.
The game was stalling out and EA cut their losses. It sucks that that the gritty single-player Star Wars game wont be realized, but it's an understandable decision.
Obviously the heroes are a huge topic of conversation. I'm hearing a lot of complaints about people being upset with the choices. Here's my 2 cents.
When it comes to Greedo and Nien Nunb I say the more the merrier. I'm not mad that they were chosen as heroes. It makes sense they'll be added wth the Outer Rim. While both have little backstory in the films I think they're fun additions. HOWEVER, the reason people are upset, myself included, is because DICE promised us 4 total heroes and villains. Not 8. (Origin Season Pass details). Obviously a lot of what dice says is up to interpretation and whether or not these 4 are paid and there will be additional heroes that will come with free DLC remains to be seen. If someone has any sources that additional heroes will be added to the 4 then please share. But as it stands, 2 of our 4 new heroes will be these two characters. If adding these characters means we cannot get Chewy or Obi Wan or Lando that is why people are mad. The vast majority of people would welcome Greedo and Nien Nunb if it didn't mean limiting our chances of our favorite characters.
>ESRB does not consider loot boxes to be gambling,” said an ESRB spokesperson in an e-mail to Kotaku. “While there’s an element of chance in these mechanics, the player is always guaranteed to receive in-game content (even if the player unfortunately receives something they don’t want). We think of it as a similar principle to collectible card games: Sometimes you’ll open a pack and get a brand new holographic card you’ve had your eye on for a while. But other times you’ll end up with a pack of cards you already have.
https://kotaku.com/esrb-says-it-doesnt-see-loot-boxes-as-gambling-1819363091
They don't consider it gambling :(
Although i agree this is a massive problem and it causes people to dumb massive amounts of money or time into an otherwise subpar experience in most cases, theres nothing we can do until the ESRB changes their viewing. If there's ever a chance to stop this massive influx of developers thinking this is okay because it makes them more money for an easy to implement system, then we need to either petition to the ESRB or stop buying games that use this system.
In my opinion the only games that should be allowed this system are free to play games using it for cosmetic purposes only. The ESRB's thoughts are included below with the source.
“ESRB does not consider loot boxes to be gambling,” said an ESRB spokesperson in an e-mail to Kotaku. “While there’s an element of chance in these mechanics, the player is always guaranteed to receive in-game content (even if the player unfortunately receives something they don’t want). > short timeframe
Basically most of the issues in ME:A could be attributed to this, they kept scrapping the overall design of the game, plus issues with Frostbite and with really only having like 18 months to get the game done.
This article makes for a good read if you want to know the specifics.
Why are you guys pretending the planet's name is a secret or a spoiler? They already officially revealed the name months ago in the Monopoly set: "Ajan Kloss."
It's on store shelves for literally anyone to see right now. Look, you can see for yourself right here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QBVWFSP/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_Wn89DbSKWR7YX
Save up for a decent PC, or look into subscribing to Shadow Cloud Streaming. Playing Battefront 2 with mods has been an amazing experience, this is coming from a strictly console player.
BBC is an actual journalistic site, where they may gaffe it is more likely than not that they fix it, they're a great source, along with NPR.
We did get a glimpse of Dawn** on Endor due to the recent leaks. I think it's an excellent idea and really reminds me of LOTR: Conquest since they did the same.
Fuck no.
Let it burn. >I’m more than prepared for all the downvotes you are going to give me, since this is no longer a battlefront discussion reddit, but now a hate page for the devs, players, and games. Give me all you got. Not the players. The devs and publishers. People can play the game if they want, but we by no means should let up the heat on DICE and EA. >I also want to state that pay to win has been a part of EA games for a long time.
And that fact is disgusting. >LOOT CRATES ARE NOT GAMBLING.
Yes, yes they are. And the sooner they start getting regulated the better.
>then what about card packs in Ultimate steam sports games? Is that gambling? What about trading cards in real life? That’s definitely gambling.
I always found that both of this kinda are mini forms of gambling. Paying money hoping you get lucky and get something rare/valuable.
>Don’t forget arcades those need to be shut down immediately because they poison children’s minds and make them addicted to gambling.
Not saying this is the worst comparison ive seen, but it is up there.
>My point is these kids that are being exposed to “micro-gambling” have no way to purchase crates with real money
Uh. no. So many kids go up to their parents and do the "pleassse mom! I want to get this item in my game" and their parents relent and give em their card. This is wrong.
>Seriously there have been death threats sent to devs.
Let me draw your attention to this patent filed by Activision in 2015 that specifically design the matchmaking engine in their multiplayer titles to get people to engage in microtransaction. If that's not proof enough, then I don't know what is.
Here's the article: https://kotaku.com/activision-patents-matchmaking-that-encourages-players-1819630937
https://www.fool.com/investing/2018/03/07/heres-how-electronic-arts-shareholders-may-benefit.aspx Let’s not forget they have millions of dollars stored away that they can just choose to spend on jobs any time they like. I’m sure there are a lot of struggling artists and developers that would love more than anything to work full time on making this the best Star Wars video game ever made. I mean, look at what the modders are already doing.
EDIT: a word.
Another good article about loot boxes: "Loot Boxes are Designed to exploit us":
https://kotaku.com/loot-boxes-are-designed-to-exploit-us-1819457592
And there are a lot of videos on youtube pointing out the issue of loot boxes in video games and its ethics. Here is a recent one I watched:

Forgot to post my sauce.
By new I mean that no one has posted this anywhere before and I used quotations so people don't think that EA released this now.
steams says battlefront 2005 is 4.3GB
origin says battlefront 2017 is 60GB
OP's version of "more to offer" is just one perspective amongst many's.
PSA to all OP-like-minded, the other perspectives out weigh yours.
The other perspectives being:
want next-gen graphics/animations/FX
want proper stable online matchmaking to play with real people and not bots like lonely losers
progression system is needed to regulate content in-take through put
old BF2 classes and mechanics wouldn't balance well in today's world
TL;DR: grow up and try to work with EA for change instead of shitting down their mouths
While it's not exactly EA, the "dev" that claimed to have received death threats is already caught lying. Guy doesn't even work for EA. He could have been paid by EA to start a controversy though. Really thinks this should be spread out.
When news of this remade trailer reached my eyes, I knew I’d have to take the battle back to space.
I’m super pumped to experience the game in its remastered glory, and this trailer has pushed my hype levels to maximum! The project’s not completely done yet, but if you want to experience what’s out so far, check out Harrisonfog’s Moddb page and get back to the battlefront, trooper!
>4 more iconic Star Wars™ characters for you to play as
from the store page
2 more heroes and 2 more villains
What part of visceral means there is more content?
"When something's visceral, you feel it in your guts. A visceral feeling is intuitive — there might not be a rational explanation, but you feel that you know what's best, like your visceral reaction against egg salad." source
I have played nearly every star wars game in existence, including outcast, academy, kotr, sw:tor, bounty hunter, republic commando, dark forces, etc
Me saying that I FEEL like I'm in the movies is VERY different than me saying this is a compelling, story driven addition to the star wars universe. It adds nothing except a pure emotional and nostalgic feeling that, for me, is unparalleled by any other game.
I'm so tired of people getting on each other's case for stating an opinion. Star wars games have been getting butchered for years. Every iteration over the past 10-15 years has been more disappointing than the games of the previous era. That star wars snobbery doesn't help anyone though. Your bitter reaction to this game is not lessened by my enjoying it. Do I wish there was a campaign and more content? Obviously, and anyone who doesn't is not a very good consumer.
But that I enjoy this game does not mean I haven't "done my star wars research and due diligence".
Well of course not now. I mean why weren’t they provided the appropriate amount of resources from the beginning? It’s not like Electronic Arts is low on cash or anything.
The Season Pass will only have 2 heroes and 2 villains added. See here: http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/season-pass
They refuse to acknowledge any possible free heroes
Also on the Origin page it specifies only 4 more heroes: https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/buy/star-wars-battlefront/pc-download/addon/star-wars-battlefront-season-pass#details
Your clarification is in the description of the PC Season Pass:
> "4 more iconic Star Wars™ characters for you to play as"
That is why so many are hoping that more are added in for free.
I'm not happy about it either, but from what I understand, it was a long time coming.
I recently read a really good article about the events leading up to the closure. You might find it interesting.
https://kotaku.com/the-collapse-of-viscerals-ambitious-star-wars-game-1819916152
It's $23 USD on Origin Mexico.
I just used this method.
Han Solo confirmed
> "Down Star Destroyers the size of cities, use the Force to prove your worth against iconic characters such as Kylo Ren, Darth Maul, or Han Solo, as you play a part in a gaming experience inspired by 40 years of timeless Star Wars films."
I also haven't seen anyone getting banned for it in other games and I've also seen screenshots of EA customer support saying it'd be okay to unlock earlier using a VPN. It's just not okay to buy a game via VPN (although many people have done that as well and didn't get banned).
Source is of course the website (Origin/ Xbox/ Playstation) which details what each edition of the game contains. No mention of any DLC or Season Pass.
https://www.origin.com/ind/en-us/store/star-wars/star-wars-battlefront-2/deluxe-edition
Obi-wan and jango fett implied maybe? His jedi starfighter is in the concept art. Also it is confirmed that the player count for space battles is 24 players + 40 AI ships. https://www.origin.com/usa/ru-ru/store/star-wars/star-wars-battlefront-2/standard-edition#requirements
Not even that. Most of the cash from the Republican tax break likely towards the executives buying back shares for themselves. So when we say “the shareholders” that also personally includes Andrew Wilson etc. For years, EA’s been sitting on billions in cash which could go to game development but just... doesn’t. The fact that they constantly move talent around and disrupt teams and projects (and their careers and families they try to support) instead of just hiring more struggling developers/artists with the profits they already have is a lot more infuriating to me than the fucking lootboxes.
Kind of hard to find old tweets or forum posts that talked about it, but you can see their profiles here https://www.linkedin.com/title/senior-video-%26-media-director-%2F-editor-at-dice-(ea-digital-illusions-ce-ab)
Also in many of DICE's videos you'd see the names of devs as well.
EA funds the project, DICE does the work. Why would EA make the trailer? :P
It's here in the season pass details.
>Key Features: • 4 Epic Expansion Packs. Featuring brand new content set across the Star Wars™ galaxy including: - Over 20 new pieces of galactic tech including weapons, vehicles, and Star Cards - 4 more iconic Star Wars™ characters for you to play as - 16 additional multiplayer maps featuring new locations - 4 exciting new game modes
The season pass dictates that it's only 4 iconic characters coming to the game. Keep in mind that it's possible there could be free DLC released featuring heroes but currently at this point it's just 4 iconic hero characters confirmed. Lets not repeat history and start hyping people up just to be disappointed.
>You don't see sites doing articles with these titles for those games.
Infinite Warfare's Supply Drops Are Ruining Call of Duty - Kotaku
Please do some research before posting.
Just because he "liked" your tweet doesn't either confirm or deny anything.
In fact, during the Twitch stream, I believe it was nearer the end of Darkness_429's twitch run, Dennis mentioned that all of the free updates so far have been towards the larger game modes, so for the first DLC they wanted to focus on close quarters as they say, the player base is a 50/50 between the smaller and large modes.
When prompted by Darkness_429, Dennis went on to say that it's JUST the first DLC to completely cater towards the smaller game modes only, so expect to see the larger game modes along with new ones, in the future 2 already revealed DLCs, and the one unannounced 4th DLC (likely Rouge One) along with more free updates throughout the DLC run.
Edit:

Replay twitch stream Link: https://www.twitch.tv/darkness_429/v/55017316
Start watching from 1:28:00 for the conformation.
Also note, I think he is referring that the future packs won't be focused just on close quarters as Outer Rim is, as they are going to be dedicated towards the larger game modes, but may possibly include a single map or two for smaller game modes as well - but not dedicated towards just close quarters.
Ok, here's to all of you saying the game is too expensive: making games is way more expensive today than 10 years ago, yet games are still the same price. You know why there's so much DLCs? To keep the base game price exactly the same as 10 years ago. Do you know what else costs the same today as 10 years ago? You got it: nothing.
It is also $4.50 on Amazon- you will recieve code for origin after payment

I just got it yesterday for a friend of mine.. I am from EU and I bought it with no problems
>in reality the canceled project was completely marred with problems and mismanagement left and right
Exactly my point, thanks. Which is also exactly what happened to this other Star Wars game. Yet somehow people don't read the very 3-4 beginning pages of OP's document, which states exactly what you mentioned.
Not really :P It was clarified to be 4 multiple times.
I'm glad to be "wrong"
This pretty much says it is only 4 total: https://www.origin.com/en-mx/store/buy/star-wars-battlefront/pc-download/addon/star-wars-battlefront-season-pass
On the description: > 4 more iconic Star Wars™ characters for you to play as
So yeah that means they DID announce 4 total. I don't get why people is downvoting u/starwarsgrandpa
Yes, it's actually hyperlinked in the piece but for your convenience here it is from Kotaku. Or here's Ars Technica's coverage if you prefer to read them.
Hijacking top comment here. Creator of the mod here, regarding these skins if you'd like to browse the rest in the collection for further ideas or to use in BF 2015 https://www.moddb.com/mods/battlefront-re-design-overhaul
I actually found an article from 2010 about it
Hamill has actually voiced Luke in Robot Chicken, and also did a voiceover for a novel trailer in the 2000s (I forget what the novel title was, but it was a Legends one set after Episode 6).
U just put the development cost but what is really expensive is the marketing and this is hella expensive. For example, yes gta development is "only" 60 million but the marketing by take two is ~3 times more expensive so the cost is really expensove. Check this site for more info: https://kotaku.com/how-much-does-it-cost-to-make-a-big-video-game-1501413649
A "Whale" is basicly a small usergroup thats responsible for huge parts of the profits of microtransaction systems in games.
C’ai Thrennalli, Maz Kanata, Sidon Ithano, CT Kix, Connix, Paige Tico, Varmik, Grummgar, Reveth, Quiggold. There’s so many! Check out this survey I made a few days ago
For FO villains add Bazine Netal
There's also TennoGen for Warframe. The devs released certain assets that modders can work with, modders then submit their creations to get voted both by the community and the devs. Every few weeks/months, a "round" of player made cosmetics is added to the game. Money earned from these cosmetics are split between the devs and the modders, i'm not sure the % but ya. This player created cosmetic model has been pretty successful.
Edit: typos
Tis true. Some other factors...
*edit - If y'all want to see what a live service looks like and not familiar with the game. Go here & check out the events tab (upper right corner of page).
Yay! High-res thumbnails for the maps. Thank you so much.
EDIT: Ok , a few things to point out. Rebel Transports will probably be in the game and also , the return of Gonk! Droids
Now , I am a bit surprised/disappointed that there isn't anything related to conquest mode and no command post UI but this is an Alpha so it makes sense.
Yeah, they shut down the "official" online servers about a year ago.
You can still use GameRanger though. Just boot it up and look for Battlefront 2 servers, it will launch your game from there (as long as your online account is already set up). Works pretty well for me, and still use it pretty regularly, even though there's usually only a couple servers at a time that are mostly full.
turn off origin
connect to Korea/Singapore VPN using SoftEther/FlyVPN/ZenVPn (or whatever vpn client you want)
open origin
game should now show nov 16th
disconnect from VPN.
don't close origin
if that doesn't work then i dunno :|
It's my only actual worry to be honest - that they aren't able to churn out skins at a fast enough rate. Because skins actually take a very long time to develop, and it's a completely different process from what hobbyist modders do. A marginally related article that explains how lenghty is the development process for an officially licensed skin:
There are "Upgrade Packs" (example) that allow you to purchase a group of upgraded base game items for $5 (or all the packs for $20). I assume that's what OP is referring to.
Not only in terms of season order. Anything that might possibly be added to the game obviously needs approval from Lucasfilm, maybe Disney.
This is a (marginally related) example of what I'm talking about
> 4 more iconic Star Wars™ characters for you to play as
It's confirmed 4 total, via the origin store page. I doubt we're getting Obi Wan so it's either Chewie or Lando, my money's on Chewie in the Death star DLC. This is such a bummer.
No criticism should always be allowed I bought the game and enjoyed it and if I have any criticism I report it to DICE whenever I can. The issue is that Reddit after the downvotes wasn’t really fostering a communication that honestly was constructive. How many people were giving criticism based on the actual game instead of attacking EA and DICE, how many people were making up things that weren’t real? For example there was a post here that the person said they couldn’t play Heroes v Villains because they didn’t buy Vader, Palpatine and Idea and all the others were taken; a simple photo manipulation that is completely false because even if you haven’t bought those three you still had Boba Fett, Bossk, Kylo Ren, Darth Maul available to play and the mode is 4v4 so there’s no way that what the person posted was true. It was later removed because it was false information but it had stayed for a bit enough to fuel the fire even more. And then there was the whole death threats thing which may or may not have been real but either way it looked bad for gamers. I’m not trying to defend EA here but their silence doesn’t seem all that irrational when you look at everything that went on those first two weeks, and I agree some of them were warranted but a lot wasn’t and gamers took it too far; either way EA isn’t the first company to go silent to gamers as many other developers (EA doesn’t develop I know) have in the past said that they would rather not communicate with the gamers on the internet because the culture is too toxic. Here’s an article if you want to read it: https://kotaku.com/game-designer-says-developers-would-be-more-candid-if-g-1818729507
Activision better than EA? lol
The same company that hid 16 new COD WW2 guns in random lootboxes, which means the base game only gives you half of the weapons. At least no content in SWBF 2 is hidden behind the lootcrates as you can get the heroes for in game cash, which you can't do with cod guns. [source]
The same company that always sells a product with no MT's to lure people in and get good reviews and then adds them a month later to make $$$$$. At least EA was upfront about the whole system before the game came out.
The same company that patented matchmaking that will matchmake you with players who paid more $$$ for lootcrates to entice you to spend more money. [Source]
Yeah, I'll take EA - the lesser of two evils, thanks.
Has any at EA actually received death threats? Because this article at kotaku has investigated the case and found out that the twitter account that claimed to work for EA and had received those so called death threats is suspiciously fake
https://kotaku.com/the-curious-case-of-the-ea-game-dev-who-said-he-receive-1820474458
Does BiggSean66 work at EA? Jason Schreier at Kotaku wrote a piece (link here about his efforts to find the game developer who received death threats for SWBF2, but Mr. Schreier has not been able to confirm with him or EA that he is actually an employee there.
It's unfortunately all too common for people to be threaten with violence for even minor transgressions. Even the author of the article has received death threats in the past, famously for (accurately) reporting that No Man's Sky was being delayed. But if this person on Twitter isn't actually at EA, then this seems like a way to try and shift the narrative of negative feedback to a game to a company becoming a victim for overzealous fans. Unless he is an individual operating wholly outside of the EA, and he's trolling.
Either way, I hope you guys receive constructive criticism, and that the player base refrains from any vitriolic and insulting dialogue.
Thanks for taking the time to do this! I hope you find this AMA productive.
Hey everyone, I made a graph of the top 20 heroes, villains and locations this community seems to want in future DLC. All data is based on 21,660 votes (and counting) on this poll
I changed my name last night, no problems so far. PlayStation itself also said that Battlefront 2 has no known issues.
You can probably do it with AutoIt. Download the "AutoIt full installation" version, and use this code:
HotKeySet("{PAUSE}", "sendSpace") HotKeySet("{INSERT}", "Terminate")
Func Terminate() Exit EndFunc
While 1 sleep(10) WEnd
Func sendSpace() While 1 Send("{SPACE}") sleep(10000) WEnd EndFunc
Once you run the script, when you hit Pause
on your keyboard the script will start sending every ten seconds.
Here's a direct link on Amazon, about BF1 Deluxe edition displaying a message direct from the manufacturer. *Please point out where they clearly state that the massive majority of the game is multiplayer content with only a minuscule amount of offline modes. Fucking show me!!!!
If one was to do this, they would:
download TunnelBear
select Mexico as the tunnel exit
go to
search for season pass
select the battlefront season pass
sign into your origin account
pay using PayPal.
UPDATE: Fixed it with help found in this thread

Edit: I must also admit... I hate Ewoks.
Here's a mappack for Ground to Space. Here's a large map with ground to air
I just found those on a quick search on google and MODDB, so there are definitely more that I've missed.
DLC with Asajj Ventress and Bespin : https://www.youtube.com/redirect?v=DSpj8ypUvIA&event=video_description&html_redirect=1&q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mediafire.com%2Fdownload%2Fhad0txrpp7tack2%2FBespin%2B-%2BCloud%2BCity%2Bby%2BMarvel4.exe&redir_token=Xyq9JURVnKyI-7C-dsBdffe...
DLC with Kit Fisto,Rhen Var and much more(the rest are pure mods and not actual DLC) : https://www.moddb.com/mods/star-wars-battlefront-conversion-pack
I assume you bought form a key reseller rather than Origin?
Pretty much the only thing you are missing are some exclusive Emotes and you won't get some unlocks immediately and rather have to unlock them normally.
>Everything you said is wildly inaccurate. 40 hours really isn't a whole lot of game time to get the most desirable unlocks. Don't be ridiculous. That'll end up being what? Maybe 5% of an average players game time at most.
You really don't understand the average gamer if you think 40 hours is 5% of total life playtime with a game like BFII, so I would call that wildly inaccurate. 400 hours is for the slightly more dedicated. Why do you think everyone is mad about the 40 hours? Most people will spend 50 hours and then move onto another triple A game.
This isn't just ONE "40 hour grind", it was more than just one, Vader wasn't the only hero, nor the only content. You think people are going to spend 3000 hours unlocking all the content? That's even higher than your estimate.
>You absolutely do not have to buy anything to stay competitive as you can see throughout this thread.
Factually and objectively false. Better players can pay-2-win and get in-game strengths that outdo yours. Opinion of "it's still fair" isn't relevant. Competitive is a 1:1 ratio of fairness.
>Also, you should probably learn the difference between "wants" and "demands".
There is no difference, want is a synonym of demand. Do you comprehend what a synonym is? You're so confused you mistook "demand" for "need".
http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/demand
Also, you desperately need this so you'll look less stupid, my man:
https://www.investopedia.com/university/economics/economics3.asp
>By all means, go on about micro transactions no one is forcing you to buy for any reason though!
Nobody is forcing you to buy ISIS sex slaves, so who cares! The point you're missing is that it's BAD for everyone involved. Even if a few whales buy microtransactions, it negatively affects the rest of the players who don't buy it. That's the financial beauty of microtransactions.
I guess there's still a chance it will be drivable in other modes. The Origin pre-order page does say "Pilot a diverse set of ground-based vehicles including nimble speeder bikes, massive AT-ATs, and more", but not sure I'd pin much on that.
Think the guys saying it's going to be a mobile spawn point / battery like the AC130 are probably spot on. Which worked well enough, and I could see it working quite well here if the AT-AT was remorselessly plodding towards opposition lines.
EDIT Might be nice if you could have some influence over it like the aircraft carrier in BF 1942. Maybe being able to alter the final destination at any time, to take you on different paths, bring the guns to bear on different locations etc
Twitter user BigSean66 who claimed to be a game dev at EA who received death threats likely doesn't actually work at EA:
https://kotaku.com/the-curious-case-of-the-ea-game-dev-who-said-he-receive-1820474458
The supposed EA dev who received threats isn't even real.
https://kotaku.com/the-curious-case-of-the-ea-game-dev-who-said-he-receive-1820474458
Also where does this guy get off telling who is apart of the community and who isn't?
Go fuck yourself.
during this most recent fiasco, twitter user bigsean66 claimed to be an employee of ea.
a reporter at kotaku looked into it and was unable to verify his employment, it seems like he might be a big fat liar.
can you verify whether or not he works for you? what is your repsonse to the article? can you confirm whether or not anyone at ea received death threats over battlefront 2?
"Hacking" nowadays often times refers to the attacker simply guessing your password because it's a really common one, or if it's based on your name/username/other public information available on the internet.
In addition to that, if you use the same credentials on other services, those might have been hacked as well but not taken over, you can check for that here: https://haveibeenpwned.com/
This link describes each of the (in my opinion) best mods and how to get them.
Would ABSOLUTELY recommend this one: http://www.gamefront.com/files/21927302/SWBF2-TheOldRepublic-v1.zip
I have spent several hours just on that one alone
The bad thing is how misleading this video is.
No one at EA ever said anything about not making single player games. The game was not cancelled, it's being reworked to a different style and spread among different studios. Read this to see the actual problems that were going on from a developer's point of view.
And fuck your clickbait.
I'm just gonna respond to your initial points because I think ultimately we'll just agree to disagree on a lot of stuff. But your point about Battlefront 2 in 2005, it was not less than 1 million worldwide: http://www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/?name=battlefront. You were pretty accurate about Battlefront 2015 at roughly 12 mil WW but combining PS2 and Xbox for Battlefront 2005 would put that game over 5 million worldwide. The sales/market has probably grown by about 2.5. I would argue budgets have ramped up more: https://kotaku.com/how-much-does-it-cost-to-make-a-big-video-game-1501413649. Looking at 2005 you'll see a lot of games in the 10-20 mil range. A big multiplayer game like CoD cost about $15 mil to make. Meanwhile in 2014 where it appears they stopped updating the list, they have a AAA title like Watch Dogs at almost $70 million. I think $70 million is conservative budget-wise for something like Battlefront and particularly Battlefront II I would not be surprised if it was close to $100 million, but even if you took $70 million it's still increased by over 4x. My point being that yes, sales have grown, but I think the budgets have outpaced that growth by a decent amount.
Glad someone likes this track as well! The footage was captured with the music off, which is something you can control in the audio settings of the game. I then added the music track over it in Adobe After Effects. There wasn't really any need to use a program that sophisticated to accomplish that task, AE is just what I'm used to. There are plenty of really good free video editing programs out there like DaVinci Resolve that will allow you to do the same thing.
Get GameMaster or GameRanger. GameMaster works just like Battlefront 2 worked when it still had GameSpy you just have to replace the exe. GameRanger has its own client which I personally don't like that much. It also has a bigger community.
GameMaster exe is downloadable here: https://gameshare.co/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=76
GameRanger: http://www.gameranger.com/
Download Avast Secureline (Its a VPN) Turn off Origin Set Secureline to Seoul, Korea Start Origin Set Language to Korean (bottom of list) Wait for Origin to restart itself If it does not auto unlock start it from the EXE in the game directory.
I have the app but I’m having trouble figuring out how to get it to notify me when a certain user posts. Any tips?

in case you bought already, and decide to seek a refund: https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/great-game-guarantee
This is all based on whichever comes first.
You're CypherPlays. You also go by Cypher. Your unknowncheats account is parkourmaster77. You went by SWBFUpdates2, but now you're going by HarnessTheClutch on Origin.
Here is his Origin account, if anyone wishes to report him: https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/profile/user/nfWRnjoOeVC1Zy_P2m24QQ
Use Joy2Key, vJoy, ppJoy, Glovepie, or similar. With some setting up, you should be able to control a virtual 'stick' with your mouse movements.

It's actually just part of a single, really usefull tool called Reddit Enhancement Suite that a ton of people have used for a while.

There is a sub dedicated to it as well, you should take a look!
This dirtbag was using aimbot and infinite jumpack... They proceeded to gloat about how "good" they were at this game in the chat... Lets make sure this person goes away for good...
Sorry about the garbage recording quality the recorder was acting up.
Since you are getting it on PC, why don't you just buy the ultimate edition (which is normal game + season pass) and if you don't like it. You can return it in 24 hours using Origin's Great Game Guarantee?
A $30 Expansion pack. 2 $10 booster packs, and 2 free booster packs.
Huh. $50. Free boosters. Hm.
So interesting. Also, tfw you realize that $50 in 2005 is actually $60 in 2016 dollars thanks to inflation. You're spending 20% less now.
