hey, another thing I thought of. your provider (apt building network) might be blocking upnp on their device. you might try disabling it on your router and then search for playstation network port forwarding and see if you have any luck with that.

Then do a google search on what ports to port-forward for playstation. I can't remember which port they use off the top of my head.

Based on your responses you seem like you are knowledgeable enough that you can find the setting.

Then, I'd try the vpn route. IPVanish should refund you with in 7 days if you ask, so you can see if it works or not for you.

You'll need to root your phone first. Google how to, it's not hard.

Then you need to install the PS4 remote play .apk from XDA. You cant use the app in the Play store, because the .apk on XDA will allow remote play from non-Sony devices.

Then download HiroMacro auto-clicker and set a sequence to click X.

Launch Remote Play, enter DPC, start auto-clicker, profit

They joycons are my biggest complaint, but other than that it’s amazing. Hori is the next step up from the joycons for hitting, but it’s not perfect (and I prefer the standard joycons for pitching).

My preferred portable setup is switch on this stand and then using the pro controller.

Zone hitting with pci on my PS5 is smooth and great. On switch it’s far from perfect. I’ve been debating using just directional on switch but I don’t want that to mess up my zone hitting with pci.

The graphics aren't anything special and the series unfortunately hasn't had an English release since 2008, but the games have so much more depth than any other sports game I've seen (even that 2008 game has tons of depth compared to modern sports games), and the gameplay is so responsive and rewarding compared to The Show.

I’ve played on PS for the past 2 games but picked up an Xbox this year. I tried a bit of 21 and the tech test with this 8BitDo one because the sticks are laid out like a PS controller. Testing back and forth it felt way better than the standard Xbox series controller. If you’re coming over from PS it might be comfortable. Looking forward to trying it out more next week.

I know its late, but in case anyone stumbles upon this before the new game comes out, I just ordered and received a 3rd party controller today and it has worked amazingly for pinpoint pitching. I went from 40% AT BEST with the splitter to my worst being 78%. I'm also able to finish all of my releases on my pitches, when I was lucky to get one an AB with the OG Xbox Series X/S controller. I put KontrolFreek stick pads (high rise) on my right stick and it made it easier for me. This is my first year playing so i started out with pinpoint, so that probably made it easier for me, but i hit perfect ~80% of the time. Also pinpoint is just so fun i highly recommend playing a ton of TA4 conquest to learn!!

I do video editing and bought this monitor for dual gaming/editing use.

Though, I do suggest using a display port cable instead of HDMI when you're doing your graphic design work. I had major lag when I tried to edit videos via HDMI cable. Otherwise, everything works great and my games play/look great, as well.

Kontrol Freek makes some lil foam rings that go on your analog stick to slow the movement. They are called precision rings. They might help you.

I’d say it’s probably not gonna take you from all star to WS, but it’ll definitely improve your timing on hitting by quite a bit.

I have a 26ish" Asus monitor that's like 5 years old and it's still amazing and they're fairly cheap. Would def recommend getting one. I can only imagine how good the newer ones are.

A vpn should work since the connection your network provider sees will be that of the port and protocol of the vpn.

Are you using your own router or just plugging into ports they give you on the wall?

As last I checked, the ps4 doesn't support vpn protocols natively.

You'd either need to tunnel through another device like your computer that is on a vpn or have a network device between you and your appt's network device which supports VPN on it.

Many vpn's have lots of nodes in Chicago, so I don't think this will add all that much latency as long as you are connecting to an exit node that is in Chicago.

I'd pick one and try it. I like IPVanish, speeds are good and there is a lot of exit nodes to choose from.

I have my own router so I could set my router up to be the VPN source I believe. And yes, I could route it through my computer with a bridged connection. Not sure how much latency that would add. I'll check out IPVanish. Thanks bud!

I'm using an android app that I've just written out the missions myself. tsmt is terribly outdated.

In some cases I'm only entering the major mission. For example the career arcs that require 350 hits and 90 homers...since I homer like 50% of the time I'm sure to have 175 homers by the time I have 350 hits, so I just track hits.

I like this app because you can make it what you want, color code, group, and have multiple counters on screen at once.

It's really helpful for the single game missions though. Obviously with stat grinding it should just happen when it happens, but with SGMs you need to pay attention and actively track stats as they occur.

I got the 27" version and love it, used to have a 24 inch lesser version. There may be slightly cheaper options but not by a lot and this is a good brand with everything you need. 1 MS GTG response time and 60hz are the main things to look for

The difference is freaking amazing tbh.

When I used to play on my TV, I was able to see the ball stutter when I was throwing it from SS to 1B, and with the at-bats, when the pitch was coming my way there would be slight lag. Now there's nothing at all. I would definitely recommend getting a monitor.

Ah gotcha! One last question... Y'all were talking about the vg, I'm looking at the vx for the speakers and it's also $70 cheaper on Amazon. It's 60hz vs 75 on the vg, but same input lag. Any reason I wouldn't want to go with the vx model?

I couldn't find a 30 inch monitor with acceptable input lag, but this 27" has input lag of 9ms, which is just about as low as you can go. Reasonable price as well.
