Definitely get Art of Armor: Samurai Armor From the Ann and Gabriel Barbier Mueller Collection. It's got a decent amount of credible historical information and background about Samurai with tons of pictures of armor from their catalog. Relatively recent book. You can see it in the Amazon link below, but I would suggest going to their website http://samuraicollection.org/ and emailing them for a copy since it's cheaper, although for some reason they haven't renewed their domain, maybe check their facebook for an email or go to a library. I got the book from a museum that they previously toured to exhibit their pieces. You'll find sets similar to the Tatenashi/Heike/Karakawa in here.
Another one that is relevant for Nioh is Spectacular Helmets of Japan 16th-19th Century. Kind of an old book and it has limited information but you'll find some of the same odd revenant Kabutos in there haha. I can definitely see Demon Dance Heaven (鬼舞･天) and Demon Dance Earth (鬼舞・地) changes in there.
I find that distinction fairly arbitrary, since the behaviors in both cases are very similar: Find a door you can't open -> Progress down a different path -> Find thing to open door -> Backtrack and open door. And while that's rather broad, some Resident Evil games fit into this behavioral pattern for instance, I find it far more comprehensive than confining it to nothing but the mechanics, like most people tend to define video game genres by.
But I feel this way because book genres are built around content and presentation, Hardboiled detective fiction don't need to take place in the 1920-1940's America, where the genre originated, the Hawk and Fisher stories by Simon R Green take place in a fantasy setting, but follow a lot of the story-telling conceits of Hardboiled fiction. So I treat game genres the same way, accounting for the interactive nature of the game, so games are more or less grouped by the things they have the player doing as they move through the beats of the game's story.

Clear out the mentioned folders and disable steam cloud in steam, then see if the game works.
If it works then try to add the save games back and see if they work. (Just be prepared for hell when you try to re-enable steam cloud)
If it doesn't work.... well I can give you two options, if shader cache is enabled then disable that in nvidia or delete the folder of it. Google where it is, it's hidden in some windows folder if I remember correctly.

Filter it to nioh and see what files the game touches, this monitor app will slow down your computer by a lot though so stop it after the game crashes and then go clear out whatever files are not inside the nioh installation folder that seem to be something the game has created. Don't just go randomly deleting files without being certain it's something 100% created by the game!

It's not a default reddit feature, but rather it's only available if you install RES, which has a bunch of other improvements for reddit too, like 'never ending reddit', which is basically a continuous scroller/loader for posts, instead of having to hit 'next' at the bottom of each screen, as well as other interface improvements. Only 42% recommending it with 73/100 average is really poor for aggregated scores. I couldn't even last full 2 hours (steam refund window) before refunding both of them. Yep - that's enough to fully realize I won't enjoy combat in the slightest.

Load times are fine on HDD for me, but if you want to keep it on an SSD regardless, you can compress the game files to 21GB with CompactGUI (has minimal to no performance impact, but works only on windows 10)

I received it today. I preordered it here. It's a Jojo collection of pens, to this day there are Giorno, Bucciarati, Diavolo, Doppio and Risotto. A Prosciutto pen will be released next month I think. Here is a picture of my pens (I don't have Giorno). If you are lucky enough, you can try to order them on amazon etc, but they are rare so if you don't preorder it's hard to get them at a reasonable price.

As I said a see a lot of people with the issue. I've refunded the game now but I hope one day I can go back to it! I feel as though it was something to do with some aspect of my graphics cards software but not sure what. The processor is certainly showing its age now. :)

tried that buff/dodge/buff , doesn't work for me
plus since I have several buff to activate (4 at the very least, then optional luckbringer, pleiad, etc..) i simply cannot have them all in shortcuts..
pressing second buff on a specific frame is imho incompatible while in a fight which is the whole point of the mystic art. (again imho)
queueing the buffs was an awesome way to get them all applied in an efficient way and this is broken.
broken because you get the sound fx but not the buff, or the shortcuts square icon animates but the buff is not applied , etc etc.
the GUI is inconsistent.
I have to wait, then check if buff is activated. this is just not acceptable .
if i turn the steering wheel to the right, i expect the car to turn right, not to have to maybe turn the wheel some more.. basic interface design..
these devs should read Jef Raskin
I read that this change in the behavior was in response to the fact that you would sometime spend two buff when pressing the button only once. well the quick fix is badly in so many ways...
wrong decision : force a delay
wrong implementation : the gui response and the sound fx response is not dependant on buff activating but on activation button being pressed
how i would have done it:
have an extra settings : allow reapplying of buff: yes no combat / out of combat
yes => you can activate a buff ontop of itself, renewing its timer
no => if a buff is active, you cannot re-apply it.
with condition in combat out of combat.
