Not only is it allowed, it's "officially supported" by Nvidia. Freestyle is just ReShade packaged into GeForce Experience. And Nvidia works very closely with developers to optimize features for Nvidia cards.
Go to bed early. No other way around it really. All nighter or go to bed early.

Imagine unironically typing out a shrug. Imagine being dumb enough to think that community managers aren't extremely careful about what they say, considering their entire purpose is to relay information to the community.
Also, imagine being so dumb that you don't know Nvidia Freestyle is officially supported for Final Fantasy 14. Freestyle is literally the same as ReShade. It takes the same presets and even uses ReShade dlls.
Here's an AutoHotkey script that will toggle the right mouse button. The script will only run while the client is active. If your client is named differently, you'll have to edit that yourself.
#IfWinActive, FINAL FANTASY XIV toggle := 0 return
RButton:: toggle := !toggle if (toggle = 1) SendInput, {RButton Down} else SendInput, {RButton Up} return
This is a link to the compiled .exe of the script. You'll be able to download and run the executable.
If you don't want to download strange .exe files, then you'll need to download AutoHotkey, make a .ahk file containing the script above, and then run the AutoHotkey script.
I didn't find any usability issues running the script, but I haven't done much of anything other than try to interact with some objects or NPCs around Limsa. I hope it helps!
