It was essentially this color. I'll be honest, there was a fair amount of drug use during every step of the decorating process that led to the nightmare pink bathroom.

My cheap little laptop that was only $345 is a trooper. I have almost all the expansion packs and such installed and it takes up like a third of my space... but I have no problems ever. The only time it gets warm is when I have too many browser tabs open.

I might need to get an external hard drive though as I finish buying the rest. I didn't buy anything released in the last few years since I had no way to play.

When I bought the laptop, I didn't even think it would be able to place video games. I got real lucky.

I just got an Dell XPS 15 9500 with Intel core i7 and 32GB with a 3080 by 2400 touch screen that the Sims 4 plays with no problems so far. The only different between yours and mine is my screen is a bit better and I have a bit more ram, I can't see you having problems play any of the EA games or any other game just long it fit the requirements.

I found out earlier today that this is just a repackaged palette that MAC has already done a few years ago. The original palette was called the Solar Glow x9.

Ok, I've play tested this on multiple Sims who all had different aspirations. Any time a Sim hits 5 star celebrity status they automatically get a celebrity tile in their inventory.

There is a celebrity tile if you do the show hidden objects cheat but you can't put anyone's name on them, you can just place them in the world.

If you don't gain the tile, this is what you have to do according to a forum thread in thesims.com:

Ok, so in order to regain a tile you need to:
First to book a celebrity cleanse if you have already purchased some fame perks.
Second quit the spotlight.
Third use this cheat: traits.remove_trait trait_Hidden_Fame_CelebrityTileAchieved
Then step into the spotlight.
Finally cheat your sim into a 5 star celebrity and tah-dah you get a new tile!

You can download a free VPN, and then choose a server in NZ. It basically masks your IP as one coming from NZ, so it looks like your PC is located there instead of wherever you really are.

I use Windscribe, there's also NordVPN and a whole host of others.

I started up Origin on Mac and the update isn’t there. I even tried to force it by clicking on Settings just below the orange Play button. It just said download failed. What’s happening?

Edit: Origin needed to update and wasn’t automatically updated. Went to https://www.origin.com/download, downloaded the Origin update, manually opened the file, and then the Sims4 update magically appeared.

Not exclusively for sims. You can generate new pics or put a photo of yourself and it'll make an 'art' version of it. I usually use it to make my sims hyper-realistic. Why not check it out?

It's probably an outdated driver. Theoretically, the drivers are updated automatically with Windows update, so check for updates first. However, from my experience the video card drivers need to be updated more often.

It seems like I just missed a bunch of sales. I was Google to find out when they have sales and what I learned was there was a mega Black Friday - Christmas sale and the Anniversary sale where I bought the game. Wasn't sure if they have regular sales outside of those. I'm interested in this bundle because when the sale was happening it was $39.99, so for the regular retail price of City Living I'd get a game pack and a stuff pack too.

You mean the origin access? Mmmm no, you don't need to have a subscription for that. You can normally make an origin account for free and then you can buy or add (via game key) Origin games to it. I bought in the past a physical copy of a game and it required an origin account. I just created one and my game was then added to my Origin account.

Their origin access subscription is similar to I think an xbox-live or Playstation subscription. But it's not needed to play games you bought. I never had it and I can still play all the games on my Origin account.

I believe it would run the game nicely since it's i5, if you go onto the origin site and go to the sims 4 page it gives you the system requirements. I'm not sure about cheaper option, hopefully someone else can help with that. If you are looking at cheaper alternatives just compare the specs to the system requirements to make sure it runs smoothly Edit: here is the link to the page, scroll down for the spec req. It'll work like Ubisoft games, launching them through Steam will open Origin then Sims 4. You can choose to do this or you can choose to just launch them from Origin itself.

That's just with a quick search on Amazon. You'd have to figure out what your Laptop is compatible with to know for certain what you can get as far as the enclosure goes. Though I'm fairly certain that one should work fine with most systems.

These are its specs. I have no issues whatsoever with Sims 4. It's a fast experience, it's not top tier, if you are looking for just instantaneous loading and just all the bells and whistles beyond just what is recommended by EA themselves you might want to go up another tier and spend a little more. But if you are looking for something that works perfectly fine with fast speed and high graphics, this laptop will suffice.

The only thing I'd worry about if you have dedicated video card on an integrated video card. integrated video cards tend to struggle with some games.

Brands don't really matter. I had an Asus for 8 yrs and loved it. I use an Acer now and some people don't like that brand either.

It actually runs Sims 2&3 perfectly. Just had to adjust because the Sims 2 isn't fullscreen. The Sims 3 I had no problems but I did update the graphics to some YouTubers I watch settings. Sims 4 works perfectly, I just keep forgetting EA hates updating us. 😩 I have had all three games running simultaneously at one point, and it didn't blow up my PC.

I played on this laptop for 4 years (2016-2020) and while the graphics quality wasn't ultra (screenshot from those days), it ran just fine besides somewhat long load times (pretty sure it was never 10 minutes though 🤣). You’d probably be better off going with a desktop if you are trying to be budget friendly! You can get a pretty decent desktop for a lot less than an equal laptop.

I recently-ish got this PC here for only $200 and it has worked great for me, I have the sims+almost all of the expansion packs.

I’ve done exactly this on every power button within my cat’s grasp and it’s great.

I would suggest buying more storage, but Chromebooks are stingier than phones when it comes to that kind of thing. A lot of them you simply can't upgrade at all. It's one of the biggest downsides.

I can understand why people get them. They're extremely cheap to buy.

However, if you're able to save up for a laptop, you can find one in the $500 range that'll probably do perfectly well as a sims system.

You could also mod your game to add some spice and extra fun, once you get used to the base game. Modding is quite easy and I never had any insanely unfixable problems.

you could try that too, just to see if your connection is steady/reasonable. do other devices connect well? perhaps some drivers are outdated or something. weird that an ethernet cable didn't make a difference.

Your best bets would be to use something like Blender or Gimp which are both free. I have no idea if you can find any sims 4 tutorials specifically for the programs so it might take some trial and error.

For a time Adobe was giving away Photoshop CS2 for free... but I couldn't find any links for it anymore. I did find a few sites that had downloads for it but I have no idea if they are legit or not so I'm not going to post any links. Easy enough to google if you want.

Installation is easy, just download the top file in the link and extract it and add it to your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods folder (you might need a program to extract files if you don't already have one, might I suggest 7Zip).

Using MC Command Center is a bit harder, if you want to make use of everything it has to offer. There are so many things that you can do with this mod that I'm constantly finding new things I didn't know were possible through MCCC. However, you can just use the default settings and make adjustments if things change the game in ways you don't want later.

To edit the settings of MCCC, select a computer in live mode and select MC Command Center. From there, a menu will pop up with a ton of things that the mod can alter and change. You can play around yourself with the settings to figure out whether you want any of them affecting the game (for example, story progression, which is the biggest thing most people recommend MCCC for).

For brevity's sake, I'll just explain what to do with MC Clubs: select a computer > MC Command Center > MC Clubs > Monitor Club Members, and select to enable. You may also like to edit the other settings in MC Clubs, such as Bypass Played Households (if enabled this setting will choose sims to fill clubs that are not part of any played households), Club Member Count (this setting can increase the amount of sims in a club from the default of 8 to a possible max of 50), and Open Members (this setting can decide how many open slots will be available in a club that the mod won't auto fill, the default being 1).

If you need any more help with MCCC you can look up tutorials online, or if you have specific questions I'll be happy to help you set up the mod how you want it to be.

Well i have good news! You can play it right now for free!! You can download the launcher from Here! I'm pretty sure it includes the whole Sims 1 game and you can play online with friends too!

People have also been working on updating the whole Sims 1 game to be in actual 3D. Every object remeshed! Once you get the launcher from the website you can download the game and also the remesh package to play The Sims in full 3D!

I have 2021 Dell XPS 9500 ( custom made ). Have you checked the Dell support for any up dates? And does the Dell XPS 13 have a integrated Windows 10 \ support \ Nvidia. There a game option library in the Geforce Experience. On 10/26/21 there was changes made to the library there plugged in option and battery option. I just tried it out today, it does switch the game options. I hope you find some help from this

I have an 9 month old Dell XPS 15 9500 with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti 4GB GDDR6. The Geforce Experience was part of the Dell support package but is a standalone program. It's a game option library / driver download / open in-game overlay platform for the GeForce card.

Go to the following link: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcp100# click the one ALL the way to the right. Open the zip file with WinRAR and extract the .dll to where you have the Sims 4 installed(Usually in program files). I can help if that doesn't work aswell.

If you can swing it, I recently downloaded shadow - it’s an app that you subscribe for that’s basically a cloud based gaming PC. I did the trial bc I wanted to play planet zoo and I have a MacBook Pro. It’s actually really great lol the fans in my computer don’t even really go off anymore and I can play sims 4 on ultra when before I had to stay around medium settings. Try the trial and see! It’s not super expensive and until I can afford an actual pc!

i hadn’t played the sims in a few years and got it on playstation when it was on sale for $9. i played for a couple of days then bought it on my computer to keep playing.

Check if the system requirements work. You can always lower graphics and res. There is also a free version of sims 4 under your purchased game. I think it’s the legacy version or something; it’ll work for low end computers if too slow
