Came across this survey for mobile gaming from Paradox. Feel like it would be good for everyone to fill it out to show our disinterest for their move.
EDIT: Updated source. Turns out this survey is the one Paradox currently have advertised at the top of their official forums. It's only available until 17th March so be sure to check it out before then.
Reigns has interface screw along these lines. The king can become hard of hearing which turns text partially unintelligible.
Domald Tromp, I'm surprised you haven't heard of him, many books have been written about him.
Edit: Like this book
I don't know about moose, but there is a "Better Animal Kingdoms" mod that adds foxes, red pandas, and lions.
Foxes are clearly superior to moose, so I'm sure you'll be satisfied with another animal now that you've been given an obviously better alternative. :)
Seriously though, you could ask the mod author to add moose. The mod description does say more animals are planned and those portraits look really nice. Normally I don't like species mods because the portraits can clash with the ones Paradox made, but in my opinion these blend in pretty well.
I dunno if this helps but...CK2, with all DLC...on sale on the Humble Bundle store.
https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/crusaderkings2collection_storefront
US: $31 right now.
Also, on the BundleStars store, you can get this:
http://www.bundlestars.com/all-bundles/crusader-kings-ii-bundle/
For $13
Sooooo good luck? Its all USD though, no idea if it works in Europe :( And me, personally...I cant even get the base game. Too broke and saving to get a house lol
Such is life.
> how much would you have to spend to keep a dirt road serviceable?
You're kind of underthinking it. Keeping a road serviceable for regular traffic, especially when taking into accounts vehicles like wagons, is a lot of work. Some decent rain will turn that road into mud when there's heavy traffic, and suddenly you barely have a road anymore.
If you have nothing better to do with your time, I could actually recommend The Pursuit of Glory, which points out proper road maintenance as one of the core pillars of Europe entering the modern age.
Maurice Druon’s Accursed Kings series is fantastic if you’re looking for CK2 in historical fiction form. It follows the decline of House Capet as it succumbs to court intrigues and a series of disastrous dynastic successions. It was also one of the main literary influences for A Song of Ice and Fire.
Yeah, not everybody can stand the interface. I grew up playing ASCII roguelikes, so I have it easy, but not everyone's so lucky.
I do recommend you follow the dev blog, though, I find it incredibly fascinating from a game design perspective.
Ibn Fadlan says five thousand Norsemen converted to Islam in Volga Bulgaria, so he built a wooden mosque for them and taught them to pray. Source.
http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Russell's_teapot
As kaian-a-coel pointed out. It's not an inside joke.
>[...] If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes.
> But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense.
>If, however, the existence of such a teapot were affirmed in ancient books, taught as the sacred truth every Sunday, and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to believe in its existence would become a mark of eccentricity and entitle the doubter to the attentions of the psychiatrist in an enlightened age or of the Inquisitor in an earlier time
The above quote is from a 1927 Reader's Digest apparently, but here's a quote from a Plutarch essay which might have been the inspiration:
>Alexander wept when he heard Anaxarchus discourse about an infinite number of worlds, and when his friends inquired what ailed him, "Is it not worthy of tears," he said, "that, when the number of worlds is infinite, we have not yet become lords of a single one?"

The Iranica article I linked above mentions document evidence from Dura Europos (1996 and 2005) along with evidence from actual Zoroastrian texts from the period, which appear to be a little more recent than what you cite above. While this doesn't settle the debate on the extent, it does seem to indicate it's likely. And while incest was commonly used as an allegation against those of other religions, in and of itself it does not rule out the possibility such as the overwhelmingly conclusive evidence for incestuous marriages in Roman era Egypt nor does it disqualify evidence from Iranian sources from this time. I would imagine my professor, a specialist in this period, would have considered these before settling on his conclusions. EDIT: In case anyone is wondering, my professor was Touraj Daryaee - and to totally shill for him, he wrote an excellent introductory book on Sassanid Persia, in case you're interested.
In future, it's probably a good idea to look a game up on IsThereAnyDeal before buying it, that way you can see how often it goes on sale and how long it's been since the last one.
Some time ago Paradox made an entry in the Steam database titled Crusader Kings II: Inmortuos ad Ortum, which has actually been updated recently. I think the rumour is that it's an ahistoric invasion DLC à la Sunset Invasion, but instead it's with Zombies and such, which is where /u/aram855's werewolves would fit in as well. When translated "Inmortuos ad Ortum" would mean "The rise of the undead".
~~Tried to get a direct link but I couldn't get one on my phone, sorry~~
Found the link.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pdx.ckc
I found this while clicking around other Paradox games and wasn't aware this was being made and I haven't seen anything on this sub about it. Has anyone tried it? Is it any good?
EDIT: Just bought it and downloaded it in case it disappears.
You may like Citizen of Rome - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.rangergo.rome, it is a family/Dynasty life sim set in the Roman Republic.
You get to see how life was in the Ancient Republic, participate in their various customs, festivals and Ludi / sporting competitions, while raising a family and moving up in the social and economic hierarchy in the Republic.
You can educate your children, marry them off, sponsor their elections and much more. You'll usually play as the eldest of your sons once your character dies.
The game is open-ended without a set endgame just like in real life, but a grand goal for any ambitious Roman family was to land a Consulship of the republic. This could be your goal in the game as well, climbing the Cursus Honorum and becoming a "New Man" - "Novous Homo"
It is also coming soon to Steam - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1063790/Citizen_of_Rome__Dynasty_Ascendant/
I am its lead developer, please feel free to ask me anything
<strong>King of Dragon Pass</strong> is what I think a GSG focused on tribal relations would be like. Originally released on PC in 1999, you control a little tribe of humans in the titular Dragon Pass. You decide things like how to spend the resources of your clan (agriculture, infrastructure, religion...) and have to deal with internal politics (which factions of your clan will you appease? How will you deal with influential and strong leaders with their own agendas?), diplomacy (with both other human clans and other races), warfare and supernatural events. The endgoal is to unify all the human clans of the Dragon Pass and become its new king — how you do it, is up to you. The game also has a quite detailed and engaging mythology.
Bonus: dragons.
You could also try <strong>Lords of Midnight</strong>. Very old, but much gold. Think of a "close and personal" CK2, where you have to personally ride to the courts and forts of other feudal lords to get their allegiances. Also has dragons.
It's very inferior without DLC, but probably my favorite Paradox game with it. It really is a night and day difference, although it's worth trying it for free to see if you even like the gameplay.
You can still play with all the DLC for cheap though. For $5/month, you can play with every DLC through a subscription service on Steam and cancel anytime.
You can also get the Royal Collection, which includes every major gameplay DLC but without cosmetic DLCs, for $29.99 on Indie Gala right now.
There were diseases in the Americas, you're right. But diseases that evolved in Africa/Asia/Europe were much more deadly - roughly 90% of all Native Americans died to disease when the Europeans came over. http://www.encyclopedia.com/science/encyclopedias-almanacs-transcripts-and-maps/impact-european-diseases-native-americans

There was a post that calculated the best retinues in the game before SoA. IIRC it went
1) English Longbow/Pikemen Formula: 2 divisions of pikemen for every 1 division of longbowmen, plus 1-2 extra pike divisions. 41% Pikemen, 59% archers. Force of 10,000 (10 defensive+4 longbow) will contain: 3000 pikemen 4000 archers 7000 men.
2) Scottish Pikemen/Heavy Infantry (can be Italian, but will be weaker) Formula: 3 divisions of Schiltrons/Pikes for every 1 division of shock. No leftovers. 75% pikemen, 20% heavy infantry, 5% archers. Force of 10000 will contain (reduced from 11700 points for even distribution): 3735 pikemen 996 heavy infantry 249 archers 4980 men
3) Greek Cataphracts Formula: All cataphracts. Anything else dilutes tactics. 40% horse archer, 60% heavy cavalry. A force of 10000 points would contain: 1800 heavy cavalry 1200 horse archers =3000 men.
EDIT: Found it. Changed the order of the retinues to be more accurate. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/605285-crusader-kings-ii/66590635[1] I used this guy's numbers with huge success. I love playing England and Scotland, so a lot of the characters I make are either English or Scottish. I've had a 3000 man army completely decimate a 15,000 man army (though I took a lot of casualties, but still. 3000 vs 15000 and winning is good.)
Scandinavia is pretty huge. Go to http://thetruesize.com and put Sweden with its northern tip touching Scania on the map, and your Sweden’s Scania will cover Corsica.
Everything north of the midpoint is a frozen, barren hellscape, of course, but that’s reflected in game as well, with tribes and reindeer pagans.
Credit as ever goes to IsThereAnyDeal.com which sends me alerts whenever there's a CK2 sale at any of a large set of vendors it tracks. I highly recommend it
I have not personally bought from GameStop.com so I can't offer any comment on its reliability
PS: Mods please let me know if I'm posting too many of these, I just like to share the sales for anyone that doesn't have price trackers
R5: So the Augusta Aurelia is a fan of Indiana Jones (1000 years before it was cool), although she did put her own spin on it, she scoured the earth for over 60 years in search of what her ancestors couldn't find, acquiring rare and unique relics by any means necessary, which was rather unfortunate for the Sicilian royalty. At this time she has The Iron Crown of Lombardy, Seamless Robe of Jesus, Crown of Thorns (which is not wearable, I'm disappointed), Nail of the True Cross, Holy Prepuce, Chains of St. Peter, Veil of Veronica, Image of Edessa, Weeping Statue, Ark of the Covenant, Cipher Disc, Emerald Tablet, Tier 3 ceremonial weapon/armor/scepter, Jian, Jade Dragon, Dragon Amulet, Chinese Art/Calligraphy/Sculpture, Silk Shroud, Water Clock, Qin Arm Protector, a Horse Sculpture, Tang Tapestry, all the chinese books (The Art of War, Classic of Poetry, Han Compendium of Medicine, Qin Treatise on Law, Qin Family History Book, Qin Economic Chronicle, aswell as a bunch of family-created books, such as Magnus Opuses and Random Subject Books.
To do this she may have acquired a -300 penalty for being dishonorable, but as long as she doesn't try to kill people everyone forgets about it...
EDIT: The reason she only gets a +15% fertility, is that Wilfredo II 'The Glorious' made a book called "Chronicles of Wilfredo II" that gives 3 learning and -20% fertility...
Play the demo chapters of the Hearts of Iron: War Stories before you buy this game. Both are choose your adventure games, and the demo is free. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pdx.hoi4
It's not all about getting in as many years as possible. Many of the other game starts can be very fun. And honestly, I end up playing Christian rulers 90% of the time anyway, so vanilla would be just fine.
As for getting it cheap: The main game is currently $6.39 in the humble bundle. For the DLC, it will probably go on sale when Charlemagne comes out.
It does not look like the default view so it might be another software, but [WinDirStat] does exactly that. I'd suggest using [Ninite] to install it.
Some of the DLCs are on sale.

See Crusader Kings II DLC Collection and Crusader Kings II Collection.
Edit: Also Charlemagne.
For the best sales:
Steam during a winter or summer pack (summer should be soon)
GreenManGaming will often have it on sale
HumbleBundle will often have it on sale

Aye tweaks I have done myself. And yes those are german base portrait models with BLG's nordic beard, clothing and hair. Community asked me to release those tweaks previously which I did in part. Beware though, There are people who have reported bugs (Which I haven't bothered to fix yet due to lack of information + because my submods are working for me so I CBA). If you want, you can download the submod
Ok! Well my mod actually is a little more than just the Hindu crusade.
I've basically attempted to fix a bunch of things missing from Paradox's base crusades. These are:
I have fixed all these issues, as well as added a Hindu crusade (and a religious leader to call them). I've put all of this in the same mod, but if you only want the Hindu stuff, then just tell me because I can easily separate it.
Note: The AI of Jewish, Zoroastrian and Hindu rulers is very limited and does not know that their religious leaders need to be landed to call crusades. So I made an important decision that lands them for you automatically if you want them to call crusades. Alternatively you can just land them yourselves if you are playing as the appropriate religion.
Jewish and Zoroastrian rulers will of course first have to unlock their religious leaders with the Old Gods and Sons of Abraham decisions, Zunists and Aztecs will have to reform first. Hindu always exists
Anyway, here's the link
For anyone looking at picking that expansion up, it's 9.99 for way of life + the iberian portraits/units on the humble store. Not a deep discount, but saves a couple bucks if you're looking to pick up the cosmetic dlc as well.

You know there's a Romance of the Three Kingdoms mod for CK2?
https://www.moddb.com/mods/romance-of-the-three-kingdoms
Haven't tried it yet myself, haven't had the time.
I got this script you can use. You'll have to download autohotkey and change the names of the titles in the script from sothoryos to whatever region or title you want the baronies to be called.
Then just press the forward slash key on your numpad and it will create a title that counts up to keep them unique or you can hold it down, but keep in mind you only want to give each province a max of 7 baronies; then go under the next province and hit the key again till you got what you want.
After that go into localisation and hold down ctrl+j until you create the amount of baronies you need to localize.
Also for localization it allows you to copy things by just highlighting and hitting x instead of ctrl+c and allows you to paste by pressing v instead of ctrl+v; so because of this the names of your baronies can't contain the letters X or V unless you delete that part of the script before using those letters or changing them in the script.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Probably during the encore sale (isn't it during the last day of the sale - June 22nd?).
You also want to keep an eye out, because the game is on sale pretty much all the time at different sites. Also, the new expansion is coming out probably next month, so the base game will definitely be on sale then.
The credit has to go to Is There Any Deal that emails me whenever there's a deal at any of a wide range of vendors. I highly recommend it! Just thought it might help one or two people out if I shared the wealth :-)
Maybe I'm confusing the symptoms with something else, but check out this
>“leprosy” in Europe before 1500 was considered highly contagious, was associated with sexual contact, had hereditary features, and was said to respond to mercury therapy; therefore, it is possible that many cases thought to be leprosy were actually syphilis.
There's a lot of stuff about these theories but that's the easiest I found on the web. What is "Great Pox" syphilis in game is based off of this idea that some things were misattributed to leprosy.
Assuming fertility is a float, it's a bad practice to set something to 0 for the purposes of testing (like in an if statement). You want to use a value that will always wind up where it ought to in your logical flow, and not be subject to the whims of floating point arithmetic.
"Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting."
-Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Relevant to your last paragraph
I found a cheaper deal if you want the game and the DLC's (most). https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/crusaderkings2collection_storefront
The pack doesn't have The Old Gods DLC so you would have to purchase it from GameFly ($ 3.75).
Welsh is experiencing a bit of a resurgence of late. Thanks to welsh schools teaching it (at least as second language) and the laws that were put in place to help preserve it - All road signs in wales are bilingual.
I love the fact that I'm able to speak fluently in welsh and english. It also has the side effect that children who grow up speaking both languages tend to find learning other languages easier to learn. I know I do at least.
edit - Just listened to the google translate tannoy thing... That doesnt sound at all like the welsh pronounciation.
Try this: http://www.forvo.com/word/lloegr/
Oh and here is a rough guide on how to say the various welsh letters etc: http://www.cyclingwales.co.uk/welsh.html
I just did the search now and, well, there's good news and there's bad news.
The good news is despite the hundreds of events, there's only three instances of add_trait = crowned_by_bishop
The bad news is none of those seem to fire on game start.
Doing an additional search across the whole game folder for (\W|^)crowned_by_bishop(\W|$)
(Which is fancy regex to reduce false positives) you only get 89 results, which just skimming through by eye don't look at all relevant to this situation...
Unfortunately that leads me to conclude that this might be a hard-coded (i.e. not-moddable) part of the game...
Honestly, the official Mac version runs extremely shitty for me in general with constant freezes and general slowness. Which is probably because it requires 1GB of Video RAM (the Windows version only requires 512MB.), which my MacBook doesn't have.
So far I've just been running the Windows version in Wineskin (winehq link that describes required winetricks packages and commandline to have it launch) and it runs completely golden with it for me at least.
Some streamers on Twitch use this: https://obsproject.com/
Also, if you don't have a good processor, I would advice not doing it, especially during the late game as simultaneously playing and recording will lag your computer.
If you want a webcam, get the Logitech C920 or the other 720p versions.
If you want a microphone, get a Blue Yeti or an AT2020.
Those two microphones and webcams are if you want quality. You don't even need a standalone microphone as any webcam from the past decade has a microphone too and you could also use those. But the audio will be probably low quality and then you have to increase the gain in post production programs like Audacity.
But yeah, download whatever free video capture programs streamers at Twitch use and then find an old webcam for the audio.
You can use Windows Movie Maker for rendering the video. Free video editing softwares are escaping my mind right now, but just search for some in Google.
That is nothing. A force of 59% archers, 41% pikemen led by an English leader would deal similar casualties with NO casualties of their own. Ditto for a force made up mainly of pikes and led by a Scot or Italian leader.
Cataphract 'special' tactics are shit. They're worse than the standard heavy cavalry charge tactic--don't have your armies led by a Greek!
For those interested in a detailed analysis of why archers > Cataphracts even post-SoA, here is a detailed analysis.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/605285-crusader-kings-ii/66590635
> They still need to get rid of the ridiculous event troops for Aztecs and Mongols though, it's a bullshit and unfun mechanic.
I'm sure that the Kievan Rus, the Poles, the Kingdom of Hungary, the Kingdom of Croatia, and the Romanians would agree with you.
Hey all,
With the WarCraft III mod Guardians of Azeroth finally being released (what a freakin' Christmas present! :D) I just finished up my first playthrough, and my god the events were absolutely insane. The story practically wrote itself, but I thought it would be worth going into detail over.
Here's a link to the mod if you want it. I can't recommend it enough. I'm only three or four hours in and I've already got all the material I need for an AAR. It's a top notch mod. https://www.moddb.com/mods/warcraft-kings-of-azeroth
Update released as of October 15, so it looks alive. Devs probably need time to adapt to HF though.
https://www.moddb.com/mods/thedas-kings
More than you can say for the actual DA franchise now that EA's ordered them to clone Destiny.
You mean the submod I made for myself or the official Portraits DLCs? If you mean my changes, I released part of those changes on Moddb, it fixes the Norse portraits for you. And totally agreed on Finno-Ugric, they're in the same category of sculpted bad texture portraits.
Credit once again to IsThereAnyDeal.com for alerting me so I can alert you! Highly recommend using it to follow prices on titles you are interested in
Edit: formatting
Well I'm not sure if this is gonna help, but might be worth a try:
- my current ck2 version is 2.8.1.1, which is not the newest version. I had to reroll to an earlier patch in order to get the mod working.
- the mod's current version is Middle Earth Project 0.7a, which I believe is the newest according to moddb.com, you can grab this mod version here.
- as long as you don't run any other mods that conflict with it (like big overhaul mods) it should work fine.
Hope this helps, lemme know if if does.
The terms are almost always used interchangeably:
https://ludwig.guru/s/there+is+no+understating+the
https://ludwig.guru/s/there+is+no+overstating+the
I agree it's confusing because they seem like they should be opposites, but with different interpretations you can make them mean essentially the same thing. There's probably a clearer way to word this, though with context I think most people are able to figure out the intended meaning.
Yes. Save game files are stored in your Documents folder. Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/save games
Right click on your save and open with or edit with a text editor. I recommend downloading and installing Notepad++ for this.
Remember to make sure you're opening an uncompressed save game. I recommend making a new save game for the expressed purposes of editing it, just in case you make a mistake and mess up the file.
That image name.

By right clicking on someone's portrait, you should have 2 new options. One will give 1000 troops of each type to the guy, the other will give 1000 knights, and the last one will give a great general.
You can modify the type of troops that spawn inside the "decisions" folder.
There is comments next to the code, so you can understand how it works and you can modify it yourself.
This mod also gives you a CB against all the planet to attack whatever you want.
Just so you know, there's a big sale on G2A right now for the full pack.
https://www.g2a.com/weeklysale
Just scroll down a bit to find it. It's only going for a couple more days, so snag it up quick if you want it.
It's already 33% off on GMG. Even before the game came out it was 20% off on WinGameStore. It's been on sale the entire time it's been out basically.
Follow the game on Isthereanydeal.com - set it up to email you every time the price changes and you'll be sorted.
You just missed a great bundle on the game but it comes on sale quite often.
It would be silly to buy a game this old at full price. There is one store or another having a massive sale every month or so. I know it doesn't include everything, but it looks like CK2 Collection version of the game has gotten as low as $11.99.
No, don't revoke a vassal king's duchies. That won't solve the problem. I don't even know if you can do that. What you want to do is take those kingdoms and destroy them (the titles, that is). If they're gavelkind, you'll have to change the laws first and then destroy them. No easy task. If you've got a good warchest and full retinues, your best move might be to provoke the kings into rebellion, beat them, imprison them, and then take their kingdoms. You're looking at a future of murder, shuffling duchies around to people who don't hate you and quashing revolts when that doesn't work, but it's not impossible.
Oh, random note. You may not want to diversify your retinue in this case. At least according to this guy, all-cataphract is better than diluted cataphract.
Airag/Kumis it's essentially the same drink. I've made it before, it ended up tasting like vaguely milky champagne once it settled out.
Why did they make it? That's got to be a bug, I suspect the wrong location is being shown.
Old Save, should convert though. Lagged to hell, this is hundreds of years after a WC and as you can see my dynasty is pretty much in every holding. 867 Karen Ironman.
I found a cheaper deal if you want the game and the DLC's (most). https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/crusaderkings2collection_storefront
The pack doesn't have The Old Gods DLC so you would have to purchase it from GameFly ($ 3.75). Also I think the GameFly deal is for everyone, just follow the link and you should have the discounts.
There is a humble bundle sale going on right now which puts the game at ~6$..https://www.humblebundle.com/, you only get 3 DLC's with it though.
You could also try waiting for Thanksgiving sale as well as the Winter Sale. I myself wouldn't go for the humblebundle mainly because of all the extra games, but if you had wanted those, you should go for it.
Use http://isthereanydeal.com/
Just add the game/dlc you are interested in into your steam wishlist, and when there's a sale for it somewhere, you'll get an email. You can even configure it to only announce you when a sale is above a certain threshold, like over 50% off.
Copy of my PP post:
This isn't much, just a little mod I put together to allow Socotran rulers to increase their status without having to resort to taking over Arabia or Abyssinia.
It changes the Duchy of Socotra to a non-titular title, under de jure Arabia. Nestorian/Messalian Socotran rulers with a second duchy and 2000 prestige may now create the Titular Kingdom of Socotra, and let their home island de jure drift into its very own kingdom. Then, with a second kingdom and 5000 prestige, they can then create the Titular Empire of Socotra.
Like I said, it's not much, just something I wanted to make for my own game and figured I might as well share :D
Feedback appreciated, of course - please let me know if you feel the title requirements could use tweaking, I didn't really spend much time trying to make them "balanced." Also, I kinda want to add some extra flair to the kingdom and empire-level flags, but I'm not sure exactly what. So I welcome suggestions there too :)
This will, I assume, conflict with anything else that changes landed_titles - I haven't figured out how to address that yet
Here.
This is a save after I tried to manage my vassals. However, I don't have viceroyalties, so it's just lots and lots of vassal kings, which is definitely NOT the way to go. Please post the converted save screenshots!
Also, sorry for the shitty file host.
Extract this in your "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod" directory and you'll be able to activate it using the launcher.
You should be able to see a decision that says "Spawn Troops". That will give you 100k troops. Split between archers/Linf/Hinf/Lcav/Hcav.
It's extremely basic but I'll try to make some expanded cheat options when I find some time.
Feel free to tweak around. If you need anything else simply reply or PM.
>Are any DLCs required to run MEP? The mod will run without any DLC, but it's highly recommended to have at least the Old Gods for the best experience.
Found on the main page FAQ
No problem champ, always happy to help!
To install the mod manually instead of downloading the exe, go here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/romance-of-the-three-kingdoms/downloads/romance-of-the-three-kingdoms-0971-mac
It will download the zip files for the mod, you just have to extract them and put them in the mod folder like The Winter King. You'll notice the mod will be split in main mod and add-ons. If enabling the add-ons this way still makes you crash it means you might be missing one of the minor cosmetic dlc like the units pack, in that case simply play the mod without the add-ons, they are not essential anyway.
Have fun with RoTK, it's a pretty great mod!
A recommendation for later is to use http://imgur.com/ for image sharing or a program like https://gyazo.com/ for quick image capture and sharing. Sites like tinypic and Photobucket feel quite antiquated and cluttered compared to todays internet.
I was dreaming where I play as Sultanate of Aceh and invading India with my gigantic army in a ship and the ruler looks like this in a traditional Malayan clothes.
WOT says its trustworthiness is poor, although not too many people have rated it. Someone claims they're selling illegally obtained keys. That'd be enough for me to stay clear of the site.
Web of Trust doesn't seem to trust it on grounds of illegal activity, but it doesn't look like many people rated it.
Not familar with the site myself, though- if someone else shows up you might want to trust them over me. Given that comment about accounts being disabled, you might want to hold off until you have a more complete picture for sure.
Damn. I missed a trick there! I blame just waking up. Anyway it's done, plus a little extra:
> <strong>The independent realms of Europa at the death of Queen Anderkina</strong>
> <strong>Click here to download the save game for where this ends off.</strong>
I'd use an archiver app like Keka; but what you don't want to do is change the file type; keep them as .zip but open them with Keka; then go into your documents folder, Paradox Interactive, Crusader Kings and open the mods folder and insert the .mod files there. https://www.keka.io/en/
Alison Weir has some great books on late medieval Europe (focusing on Tudor England). I especially enjoyed the one on Eleanor of Aquitaine. Very well written and accessible for newbies to historical study.
African Dominion by Michael Gomez is also great, and expands on part of the CK3 world which is left out of most histories.
History of the Arab People (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/0446393924) is definitely dry, academic reading but is extremely well researched and massive in scope.
I got this cheap desktop off Amazon:
HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Business Class Desktop, Intel Core i5 6500 3.2Ghz, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD Hard Drive, Windows 10 (Renewed) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M5B4VZ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_m.BSFb3RQGZRR
Then I upgraded the RAM and video card but the video card might not be totally necessary. The RAM is the big one to upgrade and it’s pretty inexpensive.
CK3 plays great for me on this setup
If you're interested in reading more about Zoroastrianism, for a good introductory book check out Prods Oktor Skjærvø's <em>The Spirit of Zoroastrianism</em> - there's a kindle version available on Amazon too if you want a digital version. Skjærvø was actually apparently one of my mentor's own mentors, back when my mentor was doing his PhD, and my mentor used this book in his class on Zoroastrianism.
Some boardgame adaptation perhaps? Might be a longshot, but - Twilight Struggle is one of my favorites that has a strong strategy and narrative aspect.

I tryed proxify as well as various other proxies, the filters here are really oppressive, I've tried, to dig into it, but they have the whole thing on lockdown. I have not however tried Zenmate, maybe it can go across it.
Rise from the Ashes- The ability to play as a baron/mayor/courtier. Enhance the diplomacy aspects so that you could actually focus on different characters and try and increase diplomacy with them, have multiple events to try and seize your way into power, converse with other courtiers/mayors/barons/counts/whatever to agree that with a set number of requirements, they try and get a claim on the county you're currently in, and make you count. It would also enhance the diplomatic features for the rulers, making it possible for your courtier to specifically target certain characters, or make other characters hate other characters. This essentially prevents a game over unless your entire lineage is whiped out.
The Art of War- Crusader Kings 2 edition- making war a lot more exciting by making it more like EU4. Tactics should be able to beat sheer numbers once in a while.
And something that improves AI. Can be in a patch or whatever, but seriously, I've seen some shit.
There's an English version of the game, and the description says:
> Play the game that revolutionizes the bond between a girl and her horse!
Also, this NSFW image.
I think it's clearly zoophilia.
Yes, here's the link for it on the play store. It also seems to be $.49 cents cheaper than the iOS version.
cf.Lumen is the closest we have at the moment. If you have root access, it's honestly far more customizable than f.lux. I've messed with it a little without root though, and I don't think I'd bother if I didn't have root access. Kinda makes everything brown.
This masterpiece of a mod even topped Warcraft: Guardians of Azeroth
Mad Respect to the absolute madman that is the author
About mods, Witan has also been implemented in A.D.633 as Witenagemot, it's similarly feudal elective restricted to the dynasty of the title holder with the oldest male son being the preferred heir if adult. Also erecting a High Cross is a decision in WTWSMS (erect_high_cross in VIET_culture_decisions), it should be fairly easy to port it as a standlone mod with some minor modding knowledge.
Maybe the mod requires an older version of CK2 compared to what you're running. I'm not familiar with either mod, but from what I can see Elder Scrolls and the Steam version of Middle Earth Project requires 3.0.1.1 . MEP has a beta version moddb that is compatible with 3.2 (and almost certainly with the current 3.2.1). Here there's a short guide on how to downgrade your CK2 if you want to play a mod that is not compatible with the current release. Hope that it helps.
The Winter King, an overhaul mod set in Western Europe (or at least that's the objective; right now it covers the British Islands, France, western Germany and southern Scandinavia) between 410 and 962, with a special focus in post-Roman Britain (King Arthur, the Saxon invasion, etc.).
For AGOT? Nah, I could do it but that would require me to seek permission from owners of third party mods whose assets I am using in conjunction with BLG. For vanilla game, part of those changes are available here
I don't know what you're looking for exactly, but here's a Roman Empire world conquest from the mid 13th century (I think). I've never uploaded a save before, so let me know if it doesn't work.
Edit: I just saw I got a couple share requests. I changed the settings from "private" to "anyone who has the link can view"
The software I use is f.lux. But instead of having it change with sunset, I have it set to always be 2300K or "dim incandescent". I do have to turn it off when I want to work with colors, because I can't see what they really look like here. Everything has a bit of a yellow tint.
Thank you, you as well.
Ever hear of a book called <em>The Shack</em>? We were reading it in a class when everything went down, ironically. A man loses his daughter, and later has visions of heaven. Speaking to Jesus and eventually confirming his faith through the loss. Spent the entire book with Jesus insisting the main character call him "papa". Every time I heard that line, it made me viscerally want to puke. My teacher, thankfully, eventually let me sit out the readings in the dean's office without penalizing me. They all knew I had zero interest anymore, and credit to them, even my religion teacher backed the fuck off really quickly when I'd tell them how I felt.
Oh I do that too 😂. Got to approach an issue from every angle 😉. If anyone’s a real glutton for punishment, I wrote a whole (academic) book on it too - happy to DM anyone the proofs https://www.amazon.co.uk/Girls-Who-Like-Boys-Pornography-ebook/dp/B07BKPLHP5/ref=nodl_?dplnkId=d073e9ef-9090-4c87-99e1-724f1394314d
Modern English is an interesting blend of its West Germanic roots, with Norman Latin influence, and vestiges of Celtic language constructs.
Great book on the subject by the great John McWhorter if you are interested:

The Bright Ages: A New History of Medieval Europe is a very recent addition to the historiography. Extremely readable, accessible to non-specialists, broad range of sources. Highly recommended for a fresh introduction to the period.
I don’t know how I forgot this last night but one last thing. One thing that really helped for me even before I fully understood the doctrine behind it all was “The Daily Stoic”. Just essentially a book with a quote for each day of the year and and the author elaborating on how it’s applicable today and how to apply it. This alone helped jumpstart my process a ton.
