My daughter says he must be the real Santa. Not one of Santa's helpers who dresses up to help out in December, but the real one.
He speaks every language so he would know sign language too.
(She's 8. She's an authority on Santa and the requirements to getting gifts. She reckons mid October is when you need to start upping your best behaviour game for those naughty redditors looking to score big Dec 25th)
Edit: An app we use to put her little brother on the naughty list etc. You can program their names and likes etc into it. Works well. Message from Santa

>The system I developed is actually a training progression use in learning the drums. I am much more of a drummer than I ever was a boxer. Unfortunately, I could not find anyone in boxing who could adequately describe many of the movements and combinations that are possible on the bag. (In all fairness, most boxers don't even consider doing 90% of what is possible, simply because it doesn't equate to actually movements in the ring.)

It's freaking awesome though. It took some finagling to get it sighted correctly, but once I did it took my fly killing to a whole new level. Flies are bad in my backyard during the summer, so every day after work I go out there and shoot them down for probably 10-15 minutes. It's cathartic!
This needs to be higher up.
This happened around the corner from me and the dude is a major creep.
Every time it's posted he gets a ton of praise, which perhaps is warranted for his post-fight etiquette but it does not remove the fact the guy is a psychopath who follows women around and was arrested with a machete.

Seems like it depends on where you buy them
One book is $1000 on Amazon
But about $80 to $200 depending on the book on braille bookstore
So definitely much more expensive than the paperback or audiobook.

Same idea with this kit:
That’s the only one I could find with the fan in it. I found another that makes a similar water pattern that is probably higher quality here

Get one of those little brushes with the black bristles that comes with an electric razor. They're designed to not hold onto little particles like hairs, or in this case, bud and kief. 100% better than a tooth brush. Gets into all the corners and between the teeth of the grinder so much better than a tooth brush.

Many websites will put dynamic information about you in the URL to make it easier to obtain statistics/tracking about you. This info might include your internet browser, device type, source website/referral, location, ad campaign, search results, etc.. Sometimes this is encoded and other times it’s plain to see what they are tracking. This can partially replace/complement cookie tracking.
Example Amazon search result: https://www.amazon.ca/echo-4th-gen/dp/B07XKF5RM3/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=speaker&qid=1605315632&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExWFpFWEJYSTI3VEJTJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODc3NjQzWUpaTzVBSEhDSVc2JmVuY...
All the stuff after B07XKF5RM3/ is extra info about my search criteria, how many linked searches I made, the query ID, and some other tracking stuff I can’t easily decipher. Probably browser and location info from my IP address.

Bonus, r/mildlyinteresting?
Our body structure is supported mostly by bone rather than cartilage, and fossil records show that bony fish with fleshy fins with bones in it were naturally selected and became the first amphibians. There are steps in between such as Tiktaalik(or a close relative).
Modern amphibians, synapsids, and sauropsids descended from these ancestral amphibians, and among them the synapsids(to be precise, a member of Cynodontia). Some members of Cynodontia show evidence of hair and possibly mammary glands(which are modified apocrine/sweat glands)(https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/Programmed-function-of-the-tammar-mammary-gland%3B-of-Kuruppath/cad0b61b3bad1d71288170ad5e0ce44557cb0003), which makes it very likely that they are the ancestor of modern mammals.
So, in short, we are terrestrial, lung-breathing, hairy, four-limbed fish.
It's the wireless mayflash Magic-ms.
I got mine off Amazon but there are a few places you can order it from.
It's just an wireless adapter that allows you to connect an Xbox or Playstation wireless controllers to the switch through the dock. The switch will see it as a "pro controller without motion controls". (also works for PC) you can set it so the button layout is the same physical position as the switch (AB and XY are flipped on the Xbox controller vs the switch's layout) or flip it so they match the button layout on the controller to be less confusing)

I would bet twine/ plastic wrap laid loosely to be sucked into the sprockets driving the tracks would work fine. The key is sticky and easily wrapped up in a gear. Concertina wire is the most effective, and what the army carries around for this exact purpose, but 10 rows of loose sticky twine/wire/plastic wrap wrapped in and around those bricks would make any tank driver very nervous.

Definitely the best 'trick' a bird can learn!
...assuming the bird is capable. I think chickens and some waterfowl don't actually have sphincters, so they just shit whenever it reaches the end of their digestive tract.
This reminds me of a scene from Thunder Road where a single father spends all night practicing against a wall so he can play a clapping game with his daughter. Such a sweet and amazing film that deserves more recognition.

Nah, you can buy them right now and they don't seem that bothered with those pesky regulations and finger protection.
Political scientist Erica Chenoweth studies the amount of a population that is protesting in effective popular revolutions and failed revolutions. IIRC, she found no protest movements in her dataset that failed with over 4% of the population protesting regularly, and no nonviolent movements that failed with something like 2.5% protesting regularly.
I don’t mean to say that’s predictive here, where the movement has to overcome not just the local HK authorities, but a superpower as well, and furthermore I don’t think this is the scale of protests everyday. But clearly it shows the power of a small group of people protesting regularly, and, as you say, 10% is nothing to laugh at.

Yep. I have a few of these pens. They don’t “erase” in the way that a pencil eraser physically removes the graphite from the page, but instead when the ink is heated (such as by friction) it becomes invisible.

Everyone else already did. You’re just sitting here with your hands over your eyes because you don’t like the answer. Nobody is saying that we’re happy people had to die but the bombs were the best option vs. a protracted land invasion while we were already preoccupied elsewhere.
We crippled Japan’s infrastructure by bombing industrial centers that we told them we would bomb. Ultimately nothing short of this would have achieved their surrender and many soldiers refused to believe that the war had ended even many years after WW2 and fought on in guerilla warfare terrorist cells, believing that Japan’s surrender was propaganda.
I’m certain that you haven’t actually read any books on this topic but if you’d care to learn I can suggest this (https://www.amazon.com/Firebombing-Tokyo-History-Controversial-Campaign/dp/1514609045).
If you’re looking for some lighter listening Dan Carlin had a fascinating podcast about the mentality of the Japanese forces during WW2. Once you understand that they were absolutely not backing down from a fight and responsible for some absolute atrocities then perhaps you can understand the position our country was in.

Here's another theory. Quarter can also mean various things in combat, including showing mercy or capturing ground. You're either giving quarter that by not using a spear, or you're denying it by defending yourself with your staff. Or you are fighting at close quarters because you're not using a bow. Or you are denying the enemy the ability to fight in close quarters because your staff is long. It's ambiguous, but quarter is an ages-old combat type word, so it might just mean a fighting staff.

We were using these to do a pandemic staycation of the places we didn't get to go and he was fascinated to see all the faces. He also loves Hey Bear animations, especially the dancing clams. That'll calm him down half the time.
We're making all his food at home. We had a few of the prepackaged ones for on the go but he dislikes them. Makes sense if he's accustomed to fresh. He goes mad for avocado, hummus, chicken. He also loves spicy food. He wants everyone to share and gets upset if people are eating anything different and I gave him some of the curry I made and he was all giggles. He won't drink his bottle if anyone is having an open-topped cup, he demands to drink out of something similar so we put his milk in a shotglass and he's happy.
I'll add the Baby Bum to the mix. I bet he'll love it.

I hear what you're saying, and that is a thing people definitely do a lot on reddit, i.e. bikesheding a genuinely novel, useful design because it doesn't solve every single problem on earth, or because the use case is too limited, or because it entails trade-offs that the makers totally understood and intended. But that is not what's happening here. This is a genuinely bad and useless design for which there is zero niche whatsoever.
You can go on Amazon right now and buy a wind turbine the length of your forearm that outputs 400 watts, without producing nearly the same vibrational force. You can buy, today, a solar panel about the size of a residential window that will also output about 400W, and it will be silent. So there is no small market use case for this that's not already better served by an existing device. At grid level, forget it. The most productive wind turbines in use today are literally putting out 150,000 times the power of this thing.
Maybe there is some incredibly niche situation where this could work, but that's not what the video is pitching. They directly compare it to traditional solar and wind and claim it's a "cost efficient alternative." Bullshit. This is snake oil.

Nvm, they are hooks... You can see them when he raises his hands
(Doesn't invalidate the lift whatsoever imo)
A redditor from 5+ years ago recommended these specifically, he seemed to know his shit about ear plugs & concerts.
