Edited as fuck, you can see the benches' shadows in the foreground are pointing left.
Not sure if this is the original source, but it's just as fake and uses the same eclipse and sky:

theres some mistake doing discontinuity in the diagonals, somethings getting mirrored.
Since the design belongs to Vistaprint, I made some some US politics themed bumper sticker templates: https://imgur.com/a/mrsju
Use them for whatever jokes you wish! I uploaded the vector versions to my pixabay account, which puts them in the public domain with a CC0 license - this means that they're officially free to use for basically everything. They're still pending approval there, but should be showing up shortly. I'll probably add a few more tomorrow to add some variety, hopefully including a few better designs.
I don't think seals are aware that humans are predators (at least not until their friends go clubbing with humans). I'd imagine it'd be like if a human was running away from a tiger and then saw one of these:
https://pixabay.com/static/uploads/photo/2016/03/31/20/31/alien-1295828_960_720.png
Maybe it's a vegetarian. Maybe it'll shoot paralyzing poison and then reveal its teeth that face the ground instead. Who knows? But I'm getting the fuck away from the tiger because that's certain death.
Edit: sorry for the shitty image hosting link; I googled 'alien' and picked one that didn't look particularly threatening. It works for me for some reason, though. Some peeps think it's my own personal site, but it's not lol. Anyway, another user posted a nicer link:
Even worse. Just posted on his story a picture of a hospital waiting room saying I'm going to visit my dad. Reverse image search says the photo is actually a stock photo.

It says in their weverse post. The person who edited the map searched for a map online for stock pics, and typed "worldmap" and this is the pic they used. They used it without noticing there was no Japan. So basically it was an accident.
I was first looking at: "glass craftsmanship stock video" but had no luck.
Then I was like, wait a minute, these guys for sure didn't pay for that stock material and searched instead for "glass craft stock video free" ... and voila the 9th result is the one that has been used.

it would be longer than 30cm, they tend to have extra space... for example and fuck if I know how long that rounded off part is
"Done by hand" - I mean, it's neat. But these are all photoshopped photos of animals. Poor choice of words, even though the PS skills are decent. No credit given to the photographers that I can find, either. For any who don't believe me:
I found the fox after 2 seconds of google image search for 'fox': https://pixabay.com/static/uploads/photo/2015/10/12/15/14/fox-984325_960_720.jpg
No it wasn't, it's a photoshop. It looks like the majority of that dudes pics are composites.
The original photo is a free stock image taken from here.
I hope he at least bought her a coffee through that button on pixabay....
Do me a favor and edit your comment to add that this is not Jahns photo. He makes photo compositions. I don't know about his other pics but he likely didn't take any photos for this composition.
Here's the original photo for the clouds: https://pixabay.com/en/sunrise-clouds-sky-beach-ocean-2385711/
It's a stock photo from pixabay user White77 that was used in a polyamory article.
Looking at her other photos, I don't think it's a polyamorous family.
>Can an Italian explain what's so wrong about this?
Austrian here.
Nothing really wrong, but the whole point of eating spaghetti is to have long thin noodles.
There's hundreds of other types of pasta, in all shapes and sizes which you can just dump into the water.

>do you just wait till the submerged bit is soft enough for the rest of the spaghetti to be forced in there
No need to force anything.
If you properly place them in a circular pattern, they'll smoothly sink in at the same time in half a minute.

Use it anyway hahaha, just flood your slides with bad stock photos, really embrace it.
It'll be like how programmers like to do silly things when they appear on TV news, like turning their laptops around so they're typing on the screen while staring at the keys.
Look at this one! Yeah just grab the pipette tip with your hands, that's how you get it on the pipettor.
I'll just hold this instead of putting it on the table behind me, no problem!
Oh no. Word of caution: Dish soap will NOT kill all kinds of mould! At least not reliably.
I'm sorry that I can't help but maybe this picture of a kitten that looks like it's screaming at a flower will cheer you up?
Prarifire Crabapples are fairly common landscape trees where I live (Utah). The flowers on that tree are too big to be a Crabapple. Here's a Prariefire Crabapple.

General large statue advice:
1) Stick to women models, they're just way better looking, yes, even non-sexy poses.
2) Go for something other than a hands-at-side pose, no matter woman or man modeling.
3) Go for a bit stylistic flair. Too realistic is dull.
Examples: Statue of Liberty French design - Woman, posing as a living beacon.
The Motherland Calls Russian design, woman posing as a war leader, urging followers on.
Motherland Monument Russian/Ukraininan (??) design - Woman holding raised sword and shield.
Which brings us to: 4) Get the French or Russians to design it, if you can. They have a flair for that kind of thing.
And lastly, never ever, for any reason, use a slump-shouldered, pudgy, middle-aged bored man in a hands-by-side pose as your model.
Mother India, a moderately slender woman in a modest sari with one arm outstretched palm-up, with the other hand reassuring a toddler standing beside her clutching her leg, something like that could have been excellent.
This flag has a field of gold which represents the richness of life and is also an allusion to wheat, a common symbol of life. To the left is a black column and a white silhouette of a DNA strand. Black and white often represent either life or death depending on the culture. By using both colors the flag shows both life and death.

Didnt work well for me. I used https://pixabay.com/photos/workplace-office-desk-keyboard-2303851/ to remove the mouse first, headphones next. You can still see the blur/shape.
I tried using https://pixabay.com/photos/elephant-animal-mammal-6723452/ to remove the hay in the right side and ended up with a massive grey blob.
Lastly, I tried https://pixabay.com/photos/sunset-beach-silhouettes-jump-570881/ to remove the person on the left. It ended up looking like a glare/hot spot.
It's stock. I recognize the girl as a model on a popular free photo websites.
Not sure why anyone would consciously pick a bad stock photo of eyebrows to advertise their own service. Yikes
Doubt it, since this wonder doesn't have the same hand gesture and the lack of lotus on the base of the Buddha. Besides, it only just been built in 1990-1993 which is way too early to be considered as a world wonder.
For me, I think it's Kōtoku-in Temple in Japan. The temple were built in 13th century. The Buddha almost matched perfectly with the image above (the hands, the robes, the circular base, and even possibly its face as well). It also has a small statue/structure in front of him which I'm not sure what is used for. Its location in Japan also explained the cherry trees and the asian architecture building surrounding it.
One question that still bugs me is that the screenshot shows how shiny the Buddha is, as it was built or covered in gold, and not bronze like how the real life counterpart supposed to made of.
Habe diese Flagge genutzt (für die Pros, die vllt besseres damit hinkriegen).
Publishing copies of a photo or other work of art (whether that copy is made with a computer, a printer, or a paintbrush) without permission is generally copyright infringement.
But sites like Pixabay have permissive licenses that allow this type of usage. So you're in the clear as long as you follow their rules.
Thanks man. To be honest. I just grabbed a bunch of random references and went for something that I thought would work well. I really wanted square chunky pillars and felt the went best with roman style arches.

I say we need something more dramatic, and iconic. We are a tree town, what about a crazy tree ideas.
Two towers has been done before.
Here is three towers but with tree branches.

Or something crazy like this, a giant skyscraper shaped and merged with a tree.
While I think this is a shitty misleading thumbnail, I don't agree with your comment.
The snakes head would be the medulla, with the left side of the picture being anterior and the right side posterior. You can see what would be the frontal lobe, although since its a snake and not a real brain, there is no central fissure separating it from the parietal lobe. There is also another fold of the snakes body, similar in position to that of the temporal lobe. The type of cross section it resembles could be saggital.
Its a shitty post for the sub, but I can see how it resembles the basic shape of the brain.
Here is an illustration of a brain, which can be compared to the picture of the snake in terms of shape and orientation : https://pixabay.com/p-512758/?no_redirect
Fascinating - none of these sorts of studies (including MRI) really can answer whether it's cause or effect though. ie. is autism caused by the structural difference, or is the structural difference due to different development due to autism?
Take a look an old fashioned vinyl record:
https://pixabay.com/en/album-vinyl-record-player-record-1866523/
See the lines and more reflective bands? Those are usually parts of the record that are quieter or louder than those next to it (or have an absence of say bass or treble compared to other areas). There's nothing structurally wrong with those areas, yet they are observably different. That's a simple real-world example of the content influencing the visible structure in something we would not normally see.
Zoom in to the vinyl (e.g. https://goo.gl/images/72UZRN) and it gets almost impossible to see this, too much information. The brain doesn't seem any different here, zoom in and look at an individual brain (rather than averages) and the differences get harder to characterize.
A lot of this brain research is just measuring these bands, with no understanding of how what is "recorded" (or perhaps "developed" in terms of the brain) changes the structure. We don't have anywhere near the level of tools (in terms of real-time continuous long term monitoring of the brain and the computing power to analyse it) to even approach a hint to the answers to these questions.
I like it, the ivy/moss looks great.
The only suggestions I have are on the door really. This is from the wrong time period/setting but it illustrates the point nicely.
Boards on doors tend to go from top to bottom, all the way, not interlocked like a floor.
All doors like this also tend to be inset into the frame.

My dad his really into photography and is capable of doing it professionally, but keeps it as hobby because of the good guaranteed paycheck. What he always speaks about is the 'rule of thirds'. He says that a photo should never seem to have been cut in half. For example, here are 2 photos Ex1 and Ex2. In Ex1, if you cut the picture horizontally into 3 part, it's 2/3 sky and 1/3 water. In Ex2, the border is right at the centre. This is a reason why Ex1 looks better. To make Ex2 look better, all you need to do is crop the lower part of the pic, you can just cover it by your hand and make it into thirds to see the difference.

In your picture, you should have done the same by leaving out a bit of the planks. You have a good eye for a photo, but have some learning to do. Good luck in achieving your dreams!!!
Found the Pixabay profile where this picture was taken from originally, but the author is not active anymore and his name was deleted.
It was apparently taken in Norway.
Just a guess, but it reminds me of the Lofoten islands.
Somewhere like here maybe?

You literally do not understand history at this point.
>muh based china lifted 800 million people out of poverty in the last 40 years
40 years. Do you know why that has happened? Because around then in the early 80's deng started to liberalize china more and eventually got it to state capitalism which helped people getting out of poverty. And why were these people in poverty? Cuz og mao's distasteful leadership. You literally just said china hot better when it adopted capitalism. Dude you are just grasping at straws here. These failed communist countries had a bad start. But never really got to improve them. The truth is that alot of these places got poorer and poorer. Cuba has good infrastructure? sure buddy the soviet union was on a technical scale an improvement from the ussr but it doesn't excuse its faults now does it. The stalin era was one of the worst periods of Russia. And the guy literally tried to kill multiple people based of opinions and ideas not in their taste a thing commies like to do apparently.

oh I didn't know about the dolomites. I do know of another film that was shot in both the canary islands and the dolomites... krull.

lanzarote is the next island along from fuertaventura. fuertaventura is pretty recognisable in solo, quite a bit of the island has quite a distinctive look of barren sand studded with little black volcanic stones, that's the landscape that enfys and her gang are on in the trailer

1) Prague is a city. Unless you are being technical with administrative borders, there are no fields in a city (duh). If by poppy you mean Papaver somniferum, yes, that is one of common crops here, but you would have to travel to the countryside.
2) It is August... the best thing you could maybe see is the ripe crop and I am not sure whether the harvest will not already have been done.
Yes, 'No more dollar bills' would be a fairly dramatic change. People are concerned the coins won't be seen as $1. They'd be more accepted with a characteristic that really sets them apart from 50 cent pieces and other coins. For example:
The phoenix is the sacred bird of myth, mentioned in Persian, Greek, Egyptian, and Chinese mythology. But once every thousand years, he spreads his wings and sings over a large mass of firewood, and when he is overjoyed by his song, he kindles a fire in his beak, and when it burns in the fire, an egg emerges from it, which immediately catches fire and burns.

Las Vegas isn't only the mass of casinos and hotels you often see in media, it has suburbs and other housing just like any other city.
Beautiful! I love how you made the reflection in the water waver by shifting slices of the reflection side to side. I do have one comment about that though - it looks like the vertical size of your "slices" are pretty consistent from top to bottom. It mike look more like real life if you make the vertical size of the slices smaller closer to the top of the image. Check this reference image, the detail in the reflection becomes vertically compressed in the distance.
I use rofi instead of dmenu with a custom script to blur the background. Other details are in the screenfetch output in the screenshot.
Hi all. Sorry I posted this and went to bed and then work, hadn't had time to update.
No it isn't from Firewatch, although it does have a similar feel. Found this on Pixabay. The best part is it's a vector and you can edit out any part you don't want and set any resolution you want.

Nice observation. Now I don't feel like the only person who didn't realize that the revolving stage pieces are also a bulls-eye.
Also, while we're getting around to mod business.....how about a new banner image? It's been well over a year if my memory serves me correctly and the non-descript mountains don't scream 'Korea' to me.
Maybe we can hold a competition thread where people can vote on submissions, or something similar. I think something like this or this (both free use images) would much better suit /r/korea, with some cropping of course.

The badge is VERY unlike any type of British badge. The Royal Army Service Corps emblem looks like this: https://pixabay.com/illustrations/royal-army-service-corps-rasc-army-3236794/
It would be rather... un-British to remove the RA from RASC. I don’t think that’s what that badge is. It looks VERY much like something privately or unnoffficially produced, possibly commemorative or similar for a group of vets/pals.

Here's an awesome tip I found to find similar keywords to your main kw:
Go on any stock photo site (fotolia, photostock, shutterstock, etc) and enter your main keyword in the search field. Find any image that matches best and look at the awesome list of related keywords :)
No. You cannot do whatever you want with the photos just because they are in the public domain -- available under a CC0 license.

Photos of clearly identifiable people require a model release; for buildings you need a property release. Brands require some form of contract that gives you permission to use their logo/products.
Pixabay has a blog post about what public domain means in terms of what-is-allowed and what-is-not.
I'd go for bigger, more pronounced glasses sort of like these:
https://pixabay.com/p-306695/?no_redirect
And a haircut like these, that fades out more on the sides and has some volume on top:
No buzz cuts. No rimless or rectangular glasses. Keep working it and watching what you eat. And you're good 🙂
OP didn't grow these. Do a reverse image search on all of OP's posts and you'll see that he/she is just posting images to this subreddit for karma.

Are pony belly buttons even a real thing?
Ponies are little fat mini horses, so is there even a visible belly button?
(All mammals have belly buttons because that's where the umbilical cord connects while inside the womb. I'm wondering if it's physically visible on a real pony from all the fur and the fat)

I didn't know the exact translation, but in german it's called "Fond" and it is basically drastically reduced broth. You thin it with water depending how strong the Fond is, thicken it with whatever you want to use and it gives a very nice sauce.
It's very easy to make Fond yourself, too. For example Chicken fond is made by cooking bones (my mom usually takes the whole head), feet and vegetables (the old ones, we don't want to waste anything), salt, unground pepper and put it on medium heat for a couple of hours. It's done when your vegetable is all mushy and cooked in, so about 2 hours are enough.
For vegetable Fond I usually use: (Onions),Champignons, red Bell Peppers, Tomatoes, Kohlrabi, Some Garlic (whole), Carrots, Leek, Spring Onions, Salt, unground mixed Pepper. Be careful with the green vegetables, especially Leek is very dominant. the red-green ratio should be about 50-50, but it's up to your taste in the end.
Pour it through a sieve into a glass and you got your Fond. Some people even blend the vegetables with a mixer.
YOU CAN EVEN MAKE FISH FOND!
The stuff you get in a grocery store tastes... okay I guess.
EDIT: Just asked Wikipedia and found out that Fond means foundation in french, which makes sense, since Fond is the base of a sauce or Soup.
Started with a single one, and then spent a few hours trying to recreate the original image:

This is some ugly overcomplicated code using ugly hacks, but I find the overall result satisfying.
The wood texture: https://pixabay.com/en/oak-grain-wood-trim-structure-49547/
I wrote a little python script to generate the shadows.
Also, I didn't find a font matching the one in the reference image, so I used Open Sans.
Also, try Pixabay. They have a music section. You will have to listen to a ton of samples to find what you want, but you pretty much have to do that no matter where you go. Just throw the artist's name and Pixabay in your description.
I'm Dutch, I rather use a bike for any inner city trip then a car. Although I prefer a gravelbike/typical Dutch citybike over a mountainbike on the road. MTB tires do cause a lot of rolling resistance on most road surfaces. That may be compensated by the electrical motor though.
Other things: do consider the options for recharging your battery, safe bikeparking and road safety. Also, chain, tires, cables for brakes and gears do wear a lot faster in my experience.
SEAHORSE | The symbolic meaning of Seahorse is quite intricate and diverse as this little creature itself is full of surprises. The seahorse is quite a unique creature and thought to have mystical significance among the Torres Strait Island people. The Torres Strait Islanders believed that the seahorse is a luck of good fortune/charm an attribute of the sea, the seahorse is considered to be a symbol of strength and power. Divers have long viewed the seahorse as a good luck charm too.

Rewind time and do it, you could've made quite some quid. Check https://pixabay.com/images/search/balance%20stones/
Or pexels or any public domain pic source, it's EXTREME how many balanced stones there are.
I really like yours though, especially the tip because of what it is.
Here's the link to the Google Drive to download this sweet date spot!
The bakery background is credited to Pyonkotchi (no link provided), and was found on Cloud Novel. The posters are from AnnaliseArt on Pixabay.

All these are great if you don't mind searching through each one, but what if you want to search across all of them, or want an image that is more specific, that they don't have? Google Image Search to the rescue!
You'll now have a page of results with potentially free images. Once you find one you like, you still have to go check what license specifically it has.
For instance, many of the images in the yak search come from Pixabay, so when you click on them you'll see a link to their license page. That page will explain that they don't have a standard Creative Commons license ... but, their own custom license is extremely open (it's basically just "free with no attribution required ... but don't get us in trouble by using our images to slander anyone, or resell our images without modification").
For almost any business (maybe not a gossip site) that license should be fine, and that means you just found yourself a great (and specific) image, without having to search manually through individual stock collections.
>Eric can't eat my god because my god is all-powerful, way too strong for Eric.
Eric is more powerful then your god, because he can eat your god.
>Last week I felt depressed and had been crying all day. I prayed to my god to help me.
Look at Eric and you'll be happy again.
>See? My god heard my prayer and sent me help, which means he exists, and is stronger than your Eric tiny fake-ass bird.
It was Eric who helped you. He saw you crying and send you good vibes. Because he ate your god and know, he is the only who could help you.

I think, you have a really nice mixture of high quality compositions and renderings. I particularly love this one: https://pixabay.com/light-bulb-idea-self-employed-3104355/
But 117 images in total isn't that many. As mentioned, one needs to be really active for receiving a meaningful amount of donations. Maybe the most active author, who is improving his income significantly that way, is Geralt: https://pixabay.com/users/geralt-9301/ (17 k images). He is creating images specifically for topics that are demanded and searched for a lot ... and he's also having fun creating useful images. It really shows, I think.
There are so many stunning photos on Pixabay ;-) We - Simon and I - assign an Editor's Choices award for many of our favorites: https://pixabay.com/editors_choice/ Ok... but let's see... one of our secret favorites, which we really like to show when people are asking for a photo of us, the Pixabay team: https://pixabay.com/comic-style-man-portraits-friends-2118785/ :-D
If this is for a 10 year old, perhaps consider something like ordinary table salt. NaCl - for every sodium atom, there is one chlorine atom. A 1:1 ratio. NaCl is a crystalline solid, meaning it has an orderly packing arrangement. It looks like this:
https://www.chemguide.co.uk/atoms/structures/naclexpl.GIF
https://pixabay.com/p-148812/?no_redirect
http://www.ilpi.com/inorganic/structures/nacl/nacl100plane.gif (2 dimensional plane)
So, you can see it is all very orderly. One bit is precisely the same as another. That structure would go on forever, if you allowed it to (and had sufficient material). And it would look exactly the same if you zoomed in on any point.
But now think about the size of the spheres. They are different sizes, because they are different types of atom (all atoms have different sizes and masses - that's why they are different elements, to begin with). At a certain point, however, the size difference would be too much and the structure would not be able to hold itself together.
How does it hold itself together? Electrical interactions. Different charges attract, and same charges repel - just like magnets. So, when you have a combination of atoms that have different charges and the right sizes, you can form this type of complex.
I've taken a few liberties here but I think a 10 year old can grasp most of that.
It shouldnt look the same as the desert temples. It instead should be spawned like this https://pixabay.com/static/uploads/photo/2016/06/14/11/45/petra-1456365_960_720.jpg / http://www.toimg.net/managed/images/10238699/w647/h298/image.jpg into the mountain. And possibly there should be a hidden backdoor to a mineshaft since they spawn above see level in mesabioms.
