This is the "Top Wishes" list not the top bugs from the Nov. 19th dev update.
It looks like there's a discoloured rectangle on the Bing Maps aerial photo that the sim is interpreting as a shed.
get one of those.. i have it and its sooooo awesome
the pedals are incorporated by twisting left or right.
Up now !

Keep in mind this is 100% optional and does not grant you access to any additional content. It goes 100% towards development of the mod, access to simulators and other projects/software. All expenses we make are transparent and will be listed on that page.
Maybe they actually playtested this patch, and are fixing some issues instead of just dropping it anyhow like they've done in the past?
edit: holy shit I was right: https://www.flightsimulator.com/update-5-delay/
Doesn't seem like it:
>In addition to its digital versions, Microsoft Flight Simulator will be available as a retail disc version at European stores via Aerosoft. For more information on these retail disc versions in Europe, please visit the Aerosoft website.
First, you gotta have excess RAM. I have 64 GB. Second, get some software to make the RAM drive. I used this, made a 17 GB RAM drive. Next, make a directory on the RAM drive called "MSFScache" or something like that, then launch MSFS, go to the data settings in MSFS, and set the rolling cache to the directory you just created. I used a 16GB size for my rolling cache.
Well the consensus is that the current state of the Sim excels at GA flying and doesn't offer a great experience for anything else. That said the number one thing that they are working on is the G1000 and AP issues, source, with progress expected in update 3. They have been consistently working on your one complaint. Would it make sense to drop everything else when they have the resources to tackle more than one issue? No.
If the current state of the same isn't to your liking, don't use it. Stick with one of the sims that meets your needs. Wise of you to test it on gamepass first. Posts like this are utterly pointless.
I have no doubt the formation was exactly like that. But no matter which image you look at from clouds from above, they are always white and never gray.
https://pixabay.com/photos/clouds-cloud-image-cumulus-sky-5395398/
If you underexpose for the highlights to be gray, the aircraft must also be gray
Thought I would storm chase yesterday. Checked on Windy weather radar, and there was a lovely brew flashing away in mid Germany. Took off from the airport directly beneath the path - and nothing. Showers falling all around so I went for the darkest. Nothing. Not even rain on canopy
btw. If you have not used windy it is incredibly comprehensive. It even shows upper level winds to FL45 and, with an addon, can show a lot of airspace map overlays
Scroll down this page, looks like the PC6 will be steam gauges.

They put this on their dev log last night:
>Based on community reporting, the team is preparing a hotfix for a few issues that are affecting the community. We will be sure to keep the community updated on the progress and potential release time frame, but it will be soon!
>
>The issues we will be including:
>
>WASM stand alone modules used in some add-ons are no longer working
>
>Cockpit screens can be unresponsive if the RTC is not skipped
The quote from the 4th Feb blog was "We anticipate that the update will be ready for you on February 11th and the team appreciates your continued patience and understanding."
Understandable if it's not launching today, but would really appreciate a short update or tweet if it was being pushed out again
Opposite i guess, they provide data for openstreetmaps, as it is stated in their blog post.
Bing has made very significant investments in the area of deep learning, computer vision and artificial intelligence to support a number of different search scenarios. The Bing Maps team has been applying these techniques as well with the goal to increase the coverage of building footprints available for OpenStreetMap. As a result, today we are announcing that we are releasing 124 Million building footprints in the United States to the OpenStreetMap community.
No it isn’t
Here’s a link to the Most recent development update: https://www.flightsimulator.com/september-10th-2020-development-update/
There is specific mention of the Longitude in the notes, so I certainly hope they address these issues. It’s definitely a major one: Cessna Citation Longitude Performance issues – “Engine, fuel, and flight dynamics issues with the Longitude”
Also note that on the official forums, when you report bugs, they have a vote feature that allows the developers to see what the community thinks are the most important issues. The Development Updates use information pulled directly from the forums: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/c/self-service/bugs-issues/159
Edit: the Longitude is one of my favorite aircraft to fly in the Sim. I’m really hoping that they address these issues and get it squared away ASAP.
Blurred on maps as well. Call the German ambassador
If it's Bing imagery, I imagine it will look exactly like it does on Bing.
There are supposed to be cross-platform mods in the marketplace already, including the f15, f14, spitfire, zenith, etc. The latest dev update has the scoop:

the MSFS website isn't great and I find it keeps loading an older cached version for me so I have to refresh the home page multiple times before that article appears.

I guess given those notes this isn't that 80GB update we've been seeing? It doesn't list any in sim bug fixes.
VR support is coming 'later' https://www.flightsimulator.com/july-30th-2020-development-update/

Don’t pay if you don’t have to. I would recommend joining VATSIM and going through VATSTAR to get your P1-PPL rating. I am currently working on this and it’s all free. There are 9 one hour long videos covering various areas of flying and then there are many readings of about 20 hours of reading for more learning. You’ll want to make a VATSIM account, do the new member orientation, create a VATSTAR account and then go through the lessons. If you absolutely feel you have to buy something, I’d start with this for private pilot and this for instrument/commercial.. I have both of these for school and they have plenty of in-depth information and tips. Also, you can find plenty of free FAA publications such as AIMs and other guides to learn.
The Book ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator for real world pilots’ is a superb book for this. It was written to be used with FSX, but the info would translate to any sim. It might even be worth getting FSX just for IFR training with it.
The book took me from zero knowledge to being able to fly IFR using VOR, GPS, ILS, Airways, approach charts, etc. I’m always going back into it for a refresher.
here's the cable I use, and have another 6ft USB3 cable beyond it.

The official Link cable is only necessary if you need a super lightweight cable.
I thought his would be a great way to track where you go but also encourage you where to go to!
So many times in a flight sim I end up sticking to one location due to my scenery.

"AZ Technology & Innovation Reviews | Read Customer Service Reviews of techinn.com" https://www.trustpilot.com/review/techinn.com
I usually check the websites on Trustpilot. They show what peiple have to say about it
Curious as to what audio stuff you install as extra?
Personally I tell people on clean installs, if it's not on ninite don't bother, you'll need a specialized reason to have installed programs that are not on that list (excluding windows apps).
Obligatory link to get rid of the bright white window title bars on your instruments, quick and easy https://winaero.com/change-color-of-inactive-title-bars-in-windows-10/
I setup autopilot and then browse reddit while regularly checking windy.com on my laptop for local and global weather updates and I'll check back in-game (I play on Series X) every couple minutes to make sure that my speed, heading and altitude is where it's supposed to be at. Sometimes I'll also spend awhile going around the cockpit trying to memorize where all the buttons and switches are at since I usually fly a 787 but sometimes I'll just stare out of the window and enjoy the passing scenery if there's any.
You don't really need to regularly check the instruments if autopilot is setup right (even on the harder/realistic assist settings) but I still do it because I don't trust myself to setup autopilot properly as I still don't know what half the buttons do tbh :/ It's usually only during stormy weather that I will keep a very close eye on things since I found that sometimes autopilot will try to navigate around some storms which I didn't know it could do.
other than we get one Soon™ not much
all we really know is we are getting one in ~3 weeks with the GOTY/SU7 update (Nov 18)
you can read what they did say here
https://www.flightsimulator.com/coming-soon-microsoft-flight-simulator-game-of-the-year-edition/
You're welcome! You can track progress on it by looking at the development update each week. They are posted every Thursday. The October 7th development update is where I pulled the 21-22 estimate from (You can find it listed in the first feedback snapshot image on that page). It is currently the fifth most wished for feature!
WU6 is delayed until September 7th but it's contents are largely known at this point. So OP is asking about the update after that.
Or they made a typo, who knows? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There’s a cursor you can use with the controller, I don’t know how to use it but activated with a combination of buttons on the xb controller.
Looks like they have started to do some work on this, but with no public timetable: #8 on the wishlist:
https://www.flightsimulator.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Slide1.png
Yes, it is a known issue both listed on the patch notes and the "known issues" page
While it is shitty they decided to release the patch that boinks up the Longitude as much, y'all should read patch notes so you know what exactly is boinked up or improved xD
Not sure if related, but I noticed this in the patch notes as a known issue:
> Airbus A320neo : PFDs shutdowns randomly
>Longitude uses about 4x the amount of fuel it realistically should
It's missing 9000lbs of fuel, more importantly. It gets 1/4 the range because it's 50% thirstier, too.
The post from the 10th detailing patch 2 update notes lists a fix for this, however.
According to this they're aiming for the second to last week of September. So we're in for about 2 more weeks of broken live weather and poor performance sadly, unless we get a good news from them on Thursday and the patch comes sooner than expected.
"The team is currently working hard to provide a patch update to address issues that have been recently reported. Expect a release date for the patch in our August 27th update." - MSFS Development Blog
'Expect a release date' seems it could just be a blog update with the patch release date?
In last week's developer update, it said that they would give Early Beta access to anyone in the Alpha as a thank you.
> As a Special Thanks to all of you in the Alpha Community for your feedback and dedication to help make Microsoft Flight Simulator awesome, we are giving you early access to the Closed Beta build today. A reminder that the NDA is still in place for the Closed Beta. Enjoy!
I believe if you aren't already in the Alpha and got invited today, I think you have to wait until the Beta Release on the 30th.

I’m not sure if this will work, but for the longest time I’ve use a program called Uniextract to decompress just about everything.
https://github.com/Bioruebe/UniExtract2
I’ve been able to extract most exe installers, but I’ve not tried the SDK.
There is the Thrust Master T-flight Hotas One.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07643TW2V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_HSABS0RXSZDFCGKSY8Y0
I use one for Elite Dangerous. It's decent but the build quality is kinda meh. Word is there are some other sticks on the horizon as well.
i7-10700. Specifically I have this system. I was planning to rebuild my old box into a Micro ITX setup, but at the end of the day once I sell all my old parts this whole thing cost me less than the GPU.
I've tossed a 1TB Samsung 870 EVO in it, and I have a 2TB NVME drive on the way. Also upgraded to 32GB of RAM.
I kmow your looking for a yoke but I fly with a stick and find it pretty easy and smooth and the one i use is pretty pricey but it's a good mid range option if you are going to be playing alot of sims. It comes with rudder pedals a throttle and stick and you can completely map every key you need on them. https://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-T16000M-FCS-Flight-Pack/dp/B01N2PE8CZ?ref_=mw_olp_product_details
I was gonna recommend him a Logitech Xtreme3d Pro because they are typically pretty cheap, but when I went to look one up I'm only seeing them for around $90 - which is way too much, it should be $50.
Am i missing something? Did everyone raise the price of joysticks/yokes since MSFS came out?
Maybe not 100% applicable but I just made the switch from 3x horizontal monitors. The outsides were 24in I think both 1080p and middle was 27in 1080p 144hz. I call new setup tie fighter. Center is the lg 34” ultra wide (https://www.amazon.com/LG-34UC79G-B-34-Inch-21-UltraWide/dp/B0798Q8KG4/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=lg%2Bultrawide%2B2k%2B144hz&qid=1600036172&sr=8-4&th=1) and then I flipped the previous two monitors vertical for portrait mode to sit on either side of the UW.
I wish I would’ve made this change years ago! The ultra wide is amazing for flight sim, plus I’ve also enjoyed my other games on it so far (Ffxiv, factorio...). And productivity on it is sooo good - excel, PowerPoint, etc. would 100%recommend ultra wide
I bought these ones but they're not the easiest to solder cause they're meant to be surface mounted, but they're cheap.
https://www.amazon.com/Cylewet-Encoder-Digital-Potentiometer-Arduino/dp/B07DM2YMT4
I might replace mine with the ones sold on Leo bodnar page.
It seems like a lot to start with, but just break it down into more manageable chunks.
Look on YouTube at some basic flight tutorials. As you said you don't know what a lot of the switches/screens do have a look at some basic tutorials on cockpits. I guess your flying the Glass cockpit (big screens) aircraft? I started with FSX on the old school Cessna 172, but think that's in the Deluxe or Premium version.
Check out Doofer911 on YouTube he has a great playlist on basics of flight sim. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPgR-UyZEDFp3z_sn_uVXEiVvtE5VKzSP
I also like this book: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-Pilots-Training/dp/0764588222/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=flight+simulator+for+pilots&qid=1597952721&sr=8-4
It's very detailed and covers a lot, but if you really want to get into flight sim it will really help. Bare in mind it was made for FSX so some instructions maybe different
You will crash, get confused, get lost and wonder what your doing but with time it will come, just keep going. I have been doing flight simulator for years and still get confused at times 😂.
If you need any other help let me know, it's an awesome hobby and you can never get bored, you have the whole world to explore!
Good question! So it’s a little 7inch Raspberry Pi monitor that accepts HDMI. I just wanted something super cheap that I could quickly drag and drop a instrument window or map in when flying, rather than have a big second monitor.
There are much nicer 7 and 10 inch screens you can buy so it’s not the nicest to look at cosmetically (doesn’t have a frame) but the screen itself is perfect and sharp. And very bright and vibrant. It has little stands to stand on your desk.
It’s $65 with the coupon applied and I highly recommend it if people just need something to run a map etc when flying rather than a full set up with multiple monitors.

I have one TP-Link USB 3.0 hub from Amazon. It has a good amount of negative reviews, but it's been working fine for me. https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Including-Charging-Compatible-UH700/dp/B00OTK16FK
The other hubs are Atolla hubs. They've also been working fine for me. https://www.amazon.com/Splitter-Charging-Individual-Switches-Extension/dp/B07G8CMR18
At the minimum, get a joystick or yoke. Keyboard sucks for flying. If you're interested in general aviation or airliners, start with something like this. For fighters, high-performance, or newer Airbus jets, any decent joystick will do.
10” touchscreens on sale right now for $65, just snagged one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0987468N2?psc=1&smid=A28PMZ5FP7BMQC&ref_=chk_typ_quicklook_titleToDp#aw-udpv3-customer-reviews_feature_div
Ahhh gotcha. Well hey if you're ever interested, here's a link to some good 3200mhz. Just hit a new low of $40
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QV1V17R?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1
If you have TrackIR I totally recommend this unofficial TrackClip, much better than the real version - more straightforward and robust clipping mechanism, battery so it can be optionally wireless:
https://www.amazon.com/Tracker-Tracking-System-Accessories-Bracket/dp/B08P76ZFB4/
This one seems to be the hot ticket with MSFS.
https://www.amazon.com/AMD-5800X3D-16-Thread-Processor-Technology/dp/B09VCJ2SHD
I picked this one up from Amazon. It's wireless and has the touchpad to simulate a mouse.
Plug the wireless adapter in the front usb slot for the best reception.
It does the job but it's a bit pricey for what it is, so I bought a refurbished unit for much less. I'm sure you could find a less expensive version.
I mainly use it for mapping some hotkeys for things that aren't really available conveniently on a controller.
Also to add, Skytech has this:
Skytech Blaze 3.0 Gaming PC Desktop – Intel Core i5 12400F 2.5 GHz, RTX 3060, 500GB NVME SSD, 16G DDR4 3200, 600W Gold PSU, AC Wi-Fi, Windows 10 Home 64-bit
For $900 on Amazon. Same CPU, better GPU, more storage, and likely better RAM.
I use ProtonVPN, set my server to the US and get double the speed. I live in the EU, so yeah, makes a lot of sense. I've heard that other people have had luck with VPNs too, so I would suggest trying out it, maybe with ProtonVPN free version, it has unlimited US and the Netherlands bandwidth. Nothing else (messing with Windows update settings, changing stuff in the registry, etc.) has ever worked for me.
I use these Thrustmaster HOTAS/Pedals, and it's a good bang for your buck if you're on the cheap! The stick feels natural for helicopter flying, and it's not too weird using a throttle for the collective. And you get pedals which is crucial for rudder control. They are plastic and get sloppy over time with use but I love my set.
I have the H145 and it's pretty amazing to fly.
Sky have an up to 72Mbs service too. If you are in an area that offers 36Mbps packages, then you would also be able to get 72 Mbps - subject to line conditions. I would check what speed you are actually getting as Sky may have refused to sell the faster service because your line isn't capable of it. Your real speed is unlikely to be the advertised speed - all speeds are 'up to'. Try a speed test to see what you really get - it it's less than 36Mbps then EE should have put you on the cheaper package.
I definitely think I will be buying the honeycomb ones! I found this bundle on Amazon. Do you think this looks like a scam? I hear the throttle part is hard to find. I honestly don't know what I need to make the setup work for him but I am very interested in investing in his happiness.
Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls Yoke with Honeycomb Aeronautical Bravo Throttle Quadrant Bundle (2 Items) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MDCYDW3?psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_ct_JREQTGPHGG845AX79MJE
Can your PC run MSFS? There are several web sites where you input your hardware specs and it shows if the specs are adequate. Here is one site I’ve used in the past: CYRI - Can You Run It. There are others besides this one. (Note: they all seem to be full of ads trying to grab money from you..)
I’d also recommend buying a set of third hands to hold the parts. I got this one but you can get by with cheaper solutions. KOTTO Third Hand Soldering Tool... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W42SR65?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Ok. So i am now using a vpn with Ireland location, and it is better. Still not 20mb/s, but now it is usually above 10mb/s and doesn’t drop below 7mb/s.
For those who also have this issue, and who doesn’t want to pay for a vpn (like me), get a 7 days trial of Private Internet Access on your phone (NOT ON PC), then using the provided login and password, log into your account on your pc client (which you need to download)
Honestly, you'd probably be best served by buying a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for $30ish and using that rather than your PS4 controller. Gamepads will work, but aren't the ideal way to fly, and the game's really meant for use with an Xbox controller, not PS4. That stick is cheap and will serve a beginning flight simmer quite well.
I used one of these from Amazon to on a PC to run a flight sim. Bought a new joystick now as I needed more buttons.
Thx, I really need to check the deadzones. Everything is still at standard settings right now :)
Tablet holder for keyboard:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B09XM9KRRT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00
The CSL DD is the 8Nm version. Never tried the 5Nm, as I had the old CSL Elite and wanted a little bit more torque. Other than this I use old CSR Elite pedals, SHH shifter, cheap china handbrake, DIY buttonbox :)
On the control look into the sensitivity settings.
Or look into a cheap joystick like this one.
I've personally used this one for like a decade now and it still works just fine.
This Logitech is on sale again for $19.99. Great classic budget stick
I've gone ahead and ordered this dry graphite lube as others have recommended. How would you compare this to the nyogel that you mentioned? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YRZUGH6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Honestly, unless you're looking for something ruggedized or heat-sinked there's not much difference among the external SSDs offered by the name brands (Samsung, Crucial, Western Digital, SanDisk, etc). If you're super-concerned about benchmarks you can probably find some for the price range you want, otherwise just hit Amazon and find something of the capacity and price you're looking for that's not made by a no-name or budget brand and you'll come out fine.
If you want a specific recommendation, for my money it's hard to go wrong with the Samsung T7. You can get a TB for just over $100, it supports USB 3.2, has decent benchmarks, and comes from a brand you can trust (as much as you can trust any brand these days.)
get a powered USB bar you will thank me later
bought this one and never looked back. also you can plug your phone into this one and then you don't need to have the computer on!
This is one of the few times I'd consider this $30 stick a major upgrade
I think the whole T1600M flight pack is a great deal.
https://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-T16000M-FCS-Flight-Pack/dp/B01N2PE8CZ/
Hard to beat the price, and the build quality and weight exceeded my expectations. I was concerned about needing to mount everything, but none of it moves around when I use it.
I feel like a HOTAS or something like a Stream Deck with physical buttons is essential, especially if you are going to get into VR. Personally, I find it really difficult to get my fingers on the home keys of a keyboard with a headset on.
The only real criticism of the T1600M equipment is that sometimes the rudder twist on the joystick fails, but that's not an issue if you get the pedals, since you'll no longer be using the twist.
I'm a very casual gamer in general, so I don't ever play for more than a few hours a week. I just bought this Logitech one from Amazon for $20 as it frequently goes on sale. It's for PC only though.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00009OY9U/
Honestly have no idea how it compares to others as I haven't tried it out yet, but for $20 I figured it'd be enough for me.
If you're more than a casual gamer than I'd guess you'd probably want something better.
I use a Razer Tartarus as an extra set of buttons. I set it to work as joystick inputs. You can customize the RGB on each key, which makes it easy to reference/organize your buttons.
I looked through Thrustmaster and found this on Amazon which might be too good to be true (it's cheap). I am not a serious player, but obviously using a keyboard and mouse is horrible. Plus I like to play it in VR.
Any thoughts?
link to the keypad..? I was more meaning that I would just buy a random wired one for as cheap as I could find (and with good reviews). £5 was probably the least I would get it....

anyways this is one I was thjnking of:
I'm enjoying the Logitech HOTAS. Having a beefy throttle really helps with the fast jets. Since you map the buttons/toggles in Flight Sim it's a lot easier than it used to be. It also lets you map speed breaks, which are a must if you're escorting airliners into and out of KLAX.

>For some reason the data created that shapes as buildings in FS20.
The game also uses openstreetmap data... and at a quick look, the buildings have indeed been drawn up in openstreetmaps.
https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=18/46.55667/8.56883
Its just chosen to ignore the concept of them being covered by rock.
on Open street maps that building has wind turbines as data points on it, and as most of the "AI" data comes from open street maps, that is probably what the error is.
https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=strata%20se1#map=19/51.49293/-0.09952
Yes, this is happening in rural USA as well!
We know that MSFS is using open street maps for some of its world generation. I'm curious, if you pull up those buildings on https://www.openstreetmap.org/ , are they marked as farm buildings or are they not marked at all? The ones that I pulled up were not marked at all, so I'm wondering if there isn't any specific data on OpenStreetMap, if they just us a generic building model, and guess what it is supposed to be based on size etc.
MSFS should add a category of buildings for farm buildings and then any farm buildings marked on OpenStreetMap could get generated correctly.
I was thinking about opening a support ticket for this suggestion, but wasn't sure where the best place to do that is.
I'm pretty sure they use data from Open Street Map (That's how we got the Melbourne DoomSpire) So there's already a mechanism for users to submit fixes (perhaps not on the imagery, but at least on the roads and building geometry.) Open Street Map is pretty cool, check it out: https://www.openstreetmap.org/about#:~:text=OpenStreetMap%20is%20built%20by%20a%20community%20of%20mappers,stations%2C%20and%20much%20more%2C%20all%20over%20the%20world.
And happy Cake Day.
There are limits but detecting bridges is not a really hard issue for machine learning. Is there a street over a river it's mostly a brigde. Is there a street in the ocean it's mostly a bridge. Don't you see a street where one should be and only water...perhaps its a tunnel?
But even without any AI technologies bridges are marked on every map which has street infrastructure in it. Look at Openstreetmap for example (https://www.openstreetmap.org/query?lat=38.2291&lon=58.9092#map=16/38.2277/58.9108) and use the object query. You will see even in the remote places 99% of all bridges are tagged. I'm pretty sure Microsoft Azure Maps does the same.
So putting a generated 3d bridge shouldn't be harder than putting trees in the world.
Well go with MSFS2020 you can't go much wrong with it... also since this Week there is the New World Update (for Free) with Australia.

These run on Android or IOS. I use spacedesk already.
I haven't found anything that runs on a Windows OS and can collect the information from the game on another Windows PC. I have a very old laptop that I was thinking about repurposing.
