It says in their weverse post. The person who edited the map searched for a map online for stock pics, and typed "worldmap" and this is the pic they used. They used it without noticing there was no Japan. So basically it was an accident.
Here's the link to BigHit's tweet about this, and here's the link to the Amazon page where they're selling Her. It's for a random version, comes with a poster, and is available via prime shipping in the USA and Canada. You'll receive it on the day of release if you order it!
Personally I'm hoping they'll release a 4-CD set for this, it's a great deal. Considering how big their fan base is in the North America and how cost prohibitive shipping prices for kpop merch can be, this is a really smart move.
TWICE's Mina's father does some seriously impressive research.
Jessica played in her high school soccer team.
SNSD's Yoona's mother seems to be absent in her life. She's never actually talked about it, but in a TV show clip about her family, her mother isn't present, and she's never mentioned having a mother, only a father and a sister. (For example, in speeches, she thanks her sister and her dad but doesn't mention a mom, and when she was asked who she had on speed dial on Yoo Heeyeol's Sketchbook, she said #1 is her dad, #2 is her sister, and then there's no one else.) Knowing that, this fancam is hearbreaking.
Ex-SM trainee ACE is from Kazakhstan. He is now part of Ninety One who are basically KPop but in the Kazakh language.
There's also that Russian girl that was part in a super nugu group last year.

I think, in kpop, a large part of this ideology comes from the fact that the victim in kpop-related rape cases almost always takes back the claims. This is usually after a company with mob ties talks to the victim and there's usually no counter-suing or false accusation charges, so... False accusations do happen, but it's crazy to think people have such a hard time believing rape happens when one in five women will be raped in their life time in the United States. People need to remember South Korea is a very patriarchal society with a binge drinking culture. Which doesn't excuse rape no matter how hard they try.

#起 means start or intro in Chinese.
Totally #承 #转 #合 4 steps..

"Qi Cheng Zhuan He"
So if this theory true, there're will be 3 more videos..
In Exo's Second Box, Baekhyun talks about how his hair got destroyed from bleaching it, so he decided to try a bunch of different colors at the time because it was ruined anyway. He talks about it about 13:48 in the video. I think this was like 2015.
This is not counting the pre-order sales on Amazon, of which they have been the #1 bestseller since it was announced.
Keep in mind that their last album "Wings: You Never Walk Alone" had 700k sales total. And this is just the first week of pre-orders.
like how EXO's stage manager accused IOI and Twice of copying his stage for the MAMAs? cuz that didnt' go anywhere. The creator used stock footage (https://www.shutterstock.com/video/clip-1116892-stock-footage-tv-noise-seamless-loop-retro-tv-color-bars.html?src=rel/3843722:9/3p) of an iconic image as a background for introducing a singer. that no signal thing is basically a trope in tv and movies.
I always think its funny when kpop fans bitch about plagiarism when the entire country has a enormous problem with actual plagiarism in gvt, technology and academia.
I don't know which one i like the best but got7's is definitely the worst. it looks like one of those things that let ladies pee while standing up
Here's the lightstick for reference
PSA: The app "Duolingo" is working on a korean course for English speakers. so keep an eye out for that.
Also, last time I checked it said it would be in beta around April 30th but they changed it a few days ago for some reason.
I started collecting k-pop back in February 2012, and the first album I bought was B.A.P’s Warrior single. Since then, I have been an avid collector (I already collected non-kpop albums), and have a total of 446 Asian language albums (Korean, Chinese, Thai, Japanese). Of those, 64 are autographed by the artist(s).
Here is the list of albums that I own. (I have a few in the mail, but having just compiled this list, I’m too lazy to look up exactly which ones)
Seriously can't stop laughing, the filming is hilarious but the editing team still did well... Has K-ARMY reached the goal yet? It's sweet that they trusted fans could do it :)
Cheesiness aside, the rap parts in this song are really catchy and I read an interesting analysis about the context of Spinebreaker on ARA.
Also highly recommend reading "Nothing to Envy" (only $3 digital on Amazon) (fair warning it's depressing)
I was thinking WM Entertainment possibly. B1A4 were all seen wearing Blanc&Eclare. And Jessica posted this. And WM Ent's performance director posted a picture on instagram of her visit to the Blanc&Eclare offices.
I guess it all depends on how you look at the lyrics. I wouldn't say they're just outright sad. It takes a bit of searching and symbolism to make it sad, at least for me. This is a really good theory behind what it all means.
The chorus really gets me. For some reason I interpreted it as the girls wanting to see EunB and RiSe, "will you take me to the galaxy?" like they want the chance to say goodbye. Same with "will you please greet the unfamiliar me?" since their deaths has changed the girls and the group as a whole. "You twinkled as if you came to me / Hi, I’ve waited for you" is maybe the response they'd get from seeing the girls again, and "I suddenly remember / A light that I found in the endless darkness" how they recovered from the tragedy.
A lot of people interpret the song as a love story, so maybe I'm digging where there isn't something there.
Wanted to share this somewhere, but didn't want to make a separate thread.
I broadcast a show called "L9's Choco Cafe" and every Sunday I stream Kpop for a couple hours on a site called mixlr. I decided to share last week's stream that was themed as "Boys & Girls Club." Songs featuring a male and female singer. If you have a couple hours to kill, or would like something to listen to, here's the link:

Like most Japanese releases, this is blocked in the USA. I suggest a VPN like Hotspot Shield extension for Chrome or if you want an interesting experience you can watch this comparison video.
You're going to be this naive? Do you think top artists in the US don't get their numbers inflated? Fans don't do it for them, but their labels surely do. Look at the recent controversy where Tidal's streams for Beyonce and Kanye were revealed and it show super unrealistic and obviously manipulated numbers. Or just notice how Zayn's music video for Dusk Till Dawn has almost a billion views but did horribly in the charts and peaked at #44 in the Hot 100? Look at Katy Perry's over 100 million twitter followers and notice how only about 1,000-2000 of them are active. Her engagement rate is basicaly 0.001-0.002%. Most of her followers are probably bots or filler accounts. Hate to break it to you but all your American faves have inflated their numbers one way or the other. If we're gonna have chart manipulation I'd rather the fans do it than the record labels. And to be honest, the record labels would rather the fans spend money too. At the end of the day those sales companies don't care it if it's 100 different people who bought the album or just 2 people who bought 50 each. What matters is that they put money into their pockets. Grow up, kid.
19 October - Dua Lipa ft Blackpink - Kiss and Make Up
late October - TWICE - Stay By My Side (they performed the song yesterday at their concert, but the song won't be officially released for a few more weeks)
Would also like to add these Check outfits from this performance because reasons
I can't believe the article doesn't say that the Wonder Girls were the first idol group to make it into the Billboard 100 with Nobody. Especially because the article was written by Billboard... if anyone cares about Billboard's rankings it should be them.
Edit: NVM I'm an idiot
Song of the year: Rough - GFriend. Honestly it was between this one or Whatta Man by I.O.I, however Rough just had that addictiveness and power of the vocals that made it never get boring for me, no matter how much I listened to It.
Most Surprising Comeback of the year: AOA - RUNWAY. Tbh I didn't think much of it as it was a Japanese album and the title track wasn't too strong. However upon listening to it I believe it's one of the best albums of the year as almost every track was great, especially the new releases which are outstanding.
Artist Of The Year: TWICE I'm not even a ONCE or anything but in the year of the Girl-Groups,Twice became the top dog and thus made the biggest impact this year. Plus all of their releases where very good imo.
Irene off of the same group but it was a book instead. It's quite a good book, too, if you like feeling contemplative and sad.
Edit: here's a link if you want to check it out.
> I realized there were words/harmonies/instruments you can only hear on the right or left side of the earphone/headphone.
There should be stereo-to-mono downmixing adapters that you can use so you don't miss audio that only exists on the left channel. I believe this is one example of such adapter, but as with other cheap crap like this YMMV.
There are also single-side earphones that do the same, some even with mics like this.
Alternatively if you ask around on DIY or audio forums you should be able to get some pointers about making your own adapter.
Obviously another alternative is to do the downmixing on the software side (depends on whether your app/OS supports this) or even on the audio file itself (requires re-encoding).
What the fuck is happening today. Two of my favorite groups undergoing drastic lineup changes, god why. I will definitely miss these two, especially Eunji. This doesn't change how much I love 9Muses, even if they are 7Muses now T____T
These are always blocked in the US by Youtube for some reason when they first put them up. I suggest a VPN. Hotspot Shield is free for Chrome...I don't know anything about security but it works for letting me view Youtube stuff.
CL made a post about raising funds for Operation Smile on her Instagram:
> 99%IS and I worked with Grazia Korea with the keywords Smile, Dream and Hope to support these children and their families.
> T-shirts painted by 99%IS and the items i donated will be auctioned at the Operation Smile Charity Gala on Dec. 5th in Hanoi, Vietnam and also auctioned next year. The funds raised will be donated to provide surgical procedures for children.
Grazia Korea shared a super adorable behind-the-scenes video of CL working with a little girl that Operation Smile helped. I wish the video was longer because it's so cute.

Officially, some of the categories are from votings. Oh just regular vote on a site or text vote? Nah, you'll need to download the official app, play 'games' to get points, then vote with the point. And of course the app contains IAP & ads. I bet the top GG's are also invited, refuse to waste their time for this scam, then they just award those who came in whatever category available.
Youtube is more popular, but Naver is used predominantly by Koreans whereas Youtube is a more international viewing platform which is what they meant by saying it's a better gauge of how something is received in SK.
To greatly generalize: most koreans use youtube for videos but koreans don't make up the majority of the people watching videos on youtube while most koreans don't use naver for videos most but koreans make up the majority of the people watching videos on naver.
I think in terms of stage presence they are much better with Miniskirt and Like a Cat. So in this case I would say its mostly just that they performed Short Hair and Heart Attack.
EDIT: Also -- if anybody knows what the remix intro to Heart Attack is called let me know. That was pretty damn cool.
EDIT2: So I'm not sure if this remix exists anywhere. I cut a version of it (51 seconds, just the remix part) of the audio from the live performance, and increased the dB by 15 so it is as loud as normal audio files. If anybody wants a copy feel free to download from here: http://www.filedropper.com/aoaheartattackremix_1
I couldn't help smiling the whole time because this song is just so bouncy and cute, and the MV matches so well! So soft~~ ♥ The outfits they've used for their music show performances are in the MV. (I see they chose a better shirt to match with the leather jacket for Yunho... instead of kids drinking and doing drugs... still wtf @ stylists). I love this choreo and the couple of cute interactions we get, but we sadly don't see those here (Yunho with his arm around Changmin's shoulders before the first chorus and the peek-a-boo after the second chorus)
Other random reactions/thoughts:
edit: Waaaait a minute. Where is that scene of Yunho and Changmin in lounging chairs on the moat platform that was in the teaser? Did it not make the cut? That's sad. D:
same here. tried looking for a mirror but couldn't find one
Edit: Found it! mirror
You didn't add in G.N.D (Girls Next Door)!
Okay joke aside, the Personalized Kim So Hee's handwritten letter option is very attractive!
There was a 'survey' posted on the sub by a user living in Korea some days ago which is a decent reflection of what's popular in Korea, I think. But to answer the question, yes. He mainly caters to the 20-30s demographic and AOMG is one of the most popular hip-hop companies in South Korea right now. The artists (primarily Jay, Gray, Loco and Simon D) are considered "trendy" as Korea likes to call it and they've got live shows almost every night, sometimes even multiple ones. In my experience, only the SEA countries/fandoms still seem to hang on to or make significant mention of Jay's past but other than that, it's pretty much in the dust, especially as far as his work in Korea is considered.
EDIT: Link to the survey post. Asian Junkie ran an similar type of article (titled "K-pop? Eh...Here's the 11 musical artists that everyday Koreans actually listen to") and it seems to have been deleted since but Jay was listed along with others like Busker Busker, EXO, J-Rabbit, Urban Zakapa, Crayon Pop, Geeks, etc.
Sorry for the confusion, not majority of Koreans use Naver but that the majority of Naver users are Korean so it is a better gauge of what a random Korean is watching than a global site like YouTube.
The rest of the show's main cast includes:
Ryūhei Maruyama (Wild 7, Strawberry Night) as Meisuke "Nuubee" Nueno
Mirei Kiritani (live-action Arakawa Under the Bridge, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) as Ritsuko Takahashi
Mokomichi Hayami (Gokusen 2, Zettai Kareshi - Kanzen Muketsu no Koibito Robot) as Kyōsuke Tamamo
Mizuki Yamamoto (live-action Black Butler) as Izuna Hazuki
Hideki Takahashi (Pokémon the Movie: White - Victini and Zekrom's Zekrom) as Mugenkai Jikū
Chinen Yuri as Makoto Kurita

Never mind the negativity, also the quality might not be perfect with all the content but it's better than nothing. I like it.
I don't know what stack the site is build on, but it might help to use a css framework to sort out the awkward layout (look at bootstrap or I prefer to use skeleton http://www.getskeleton.com/ uses grids and is responsive.
It's also available from Amazon with free shipping! Says it will count towards Hanteo and Gaon.
If you're ever going to go with a crazy color like green make it pink instead
Another idea for anyone who is interested in organizing their photocards is a Polaroid photo album! The size of those mini Polaroids happens to be exactly the same as most photocards. I don't have a huge collection but I got one of these and it's really cute and easy. (Amazon link for the one I have, there's quite a few out there)
It will be at 5pm on the 25th and will be in vertical live format
Link to TikTok Stage's account
Edit - The concert will be raising donations for COVID-19 relief
Only one is collected here http://aminoapps.com/p/58pu4z
I’m waiting for more from today’s but vid recordings were named so it’s mostly strung together from phone footage. Their is a full audio from that link. That’s all that’s available for now.
This sounds so freaking good. His mixtape is going to be AMAZING
Edit: I found this if anyone's interested in seeing a bit of the BTS (ENG 150305 STARCAST- Rap Monster X Warren G: EP 1)
ok, I'm not sure where you're picking up "funny" but that is absolutely not it. There us nothing funny and good lord I hope you find nothing funny either. My point is simply, "I ....[think] they were really, really bad"
This is not a new thing. My favorite female emcee, Rimi, was around nearly 10 years ago. She stopped rapping now but holy shit was she god. I'm not saying she was good for a girl, or good compared to the boys, just good. I don't seen why there should be any female favoritism when some emcees work really hard to develop a unique tone and flow that is not forced but rather natural . Sleeq is another example. I understand that you are happy to see women particiation increase in the rap scene, but really, you're giving them an advantage because they are female. They should be judged under the same value, not "Are they girls? Give them extra 30 points!"
You're next thing was the lack of female emcees. Here is a good link that might help. The only difference here is that Kennan Hammond's thrid comment are not applicable and that exploitability is much more easily achievable through the kpop industry because hip hop is an ongoing fad and sexy is.... a never ending fad lol.
Lastly I can name a whole list of rappers off the top of my head who are incredibly better than them. Trying to stick to the more popular, well known ones that are new in the rap game, Sleeq, C Jamm, Beenzino, Loco, Black Nut, both of the Geeks, Giriboy, Zico, and less popular but new ones like Take One, Okasian, Don Mills, Ja Mezz, Donutman, Justhis, Beewhy, Don Malik, etc etc etc. These rappers are no doubt better than any of the rappers in the above video (pick one, I'll explain).
tl;dr This is not funny, female favoritism is wrong, and I am confident that there are literally tons of rappers who are better than the ones in the above video.
i love kris to death (he's my ultimate bias), but this was just ridiculous even for kris. i'm so embarrassed to listen to this hahaha kris why :(

replace the hl part to your locate.
It's the Kino/Kihno album! They're little plug in things (sometimes just an NFC card) that connect to the Kihno app (you'll have to download). Here's an example video. It's basically a digital album made physical? Here's the Play Store Kihno app (yes, the reviews are awful... ahahah...).
Oh boy, I've heard lots of good things about Duolingo, I'm gonna have to check it out now that Korean is available.
Relating to language learning and learning how to speak Korean more specifically, I've been using Memrise, which I like quite a bit. I haven't had the time to really dive deeply into the more advanced lessons, but I like the design of the app and how it makes the language learning into a little bit of a game.
Thanks for those interviews, there's also this audio interview in english.
She said on twitter that itunes and physical "soon".
I dig bandcamp, hifi plus it's more money for the bunny.
I don't know why you're getting downvoted, Youtube is the most visited video site for pretty much every country other than China. You can browse through different countries' most visited sites here.
Im only just wading into the pool that is the genre so you can probably throw a lot of recommendations my way. Outside of plastic love, I've been really enjoying this song. https://youtu.be/aQGvlemqUpE
Rateyourmusic is a great website especially when diving into a new genre. I plan to go down the list of the top rated albums here and start getting a feel for the genre past just individual songs. This is a great way to get into any genre btw. Their search function is excellent.
She's also featured on Scarnite's Survivor and MC Mong's 쎄다, and she was in a duo called LODIA that released only one single, I Got A Feeling. She was all over the production of Primary's latest album, produced Lim Kim's Awoo with him, and produced Ben's Stay on her own. Here's her instagram.
I really hope they release another live album like they did on their previous tour, this is an awesome performance.
A higher quality video would be good too. I need it...for science.
EDIT: I found a higher quality audio vid for now.
Fantastic Baby ☆ with Haru Haru instrumentals sung by admissions female high school student
Hello! First... upload, so... it seems I'm nervous..... ㅠ
To try to make my voice husky and to show a different voice colour, I used the Haru Haru instrumentals!!
Although it's originally an upbeat song... because I seem to have somehow made it depressing.. ㅠ_ㅠ.......... sowwy [sorry said cutesy].. ㅠ
Still, thanks in advance [hard to translate this phrase to English]!! I'm a BIGBANG fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sob.. ㅠ_ㅠ
Thank you in advance [again, hard to translate]!!!!!!!!!!

Did anyone totally see BEG's Gain
Song wise. Will need a few more listens and probably some live perfs before I can really get into it.
The subbed version got removed. I messaged them to see if they can reupload it.
Starlights tend to be a bit more lowkey in general; even KStarlights. They have a very good reputation and the boys reward the behavior by being very interactive and doing things like a train fanmeet! The boys are actually pretty popular in Korea, but don't seem to have quite as vocal of an international fanbase. But no joke, I can see if I can find you an introduction to VIXX type thing; actually this one is nice. It's long but gives you a lot of time looking at each of them and their parts in the songs. If you wanna know anything else let me know! I know way too much tbh.
From the website:

He posted this yesterday on Haru's IG but I wasn't sure if he would actually feature on stage. Anyway, great that he went with his whole family and got to join Junsu on stage as well.
Browsing said downloading site^sry I randomly stumbled upon this R&B band debut. There was literally nothing about them on the internet, no YT videos, no promotion, nothing...but they are pretty good. Give it a go.

His GD impression is ridiculous, I remember seeing it for the first time when I was a massive Big Bang fan but didn't know anything about Block B haha. I was taken aback to say the least lmao
I don't use spotify but my favorite playlist I titled "Rain". Every song is sad or moody and fits well when listened to when it's raining (or use this website)
Some songs include: Rain - Taeyeon, The Truth Untold - BTS, Missing You - BTOB, Through the Night - IU, Lonely - Jonghyun, You Clouds Rain - Heize, Untitled 2014 - G-Dragon, Downpour - IOI and a bunch of OST

You can do so with "Reddit Enhancement Suite". I don't personally use the filtering with keywords but I've tried it and it worked like a charm. Its just not available as a basic reddit feature (As far as i know) so most don't know about it, hence why certain things are controlled with rules and by mods.

Unfortunately it's just all up to what company they're with. The ironic thing about the Japanese music industry is that most of the companies are just Japanese imprints of global conglomerates -- for example, Warner Music Japan is who handles TWICE and they're actually quite progressive in their approach compared to, say, Sony Music Japan -- so you'd think they'd be smarter about it.
> I'm assuming by your comment that even if I could purchase the deluxe album, the DVD would probably be region-locked to Japan?!
Yes, but if you play it on a computer it should be fine. DVDs in Japan also aren't subtitled in other languages like K-pop releases tend to be, so keep that in mind. I just looked for EXID's limited edition album and the only place I can find it still available is Amazon Japan, which you should be able to place an order internationally there but it's a little convoluted lol (if you're interested I can PM you instructions or you could Google a guide to buying from Amazon JP from abroad).
I can't really explain the gatekeeping stuff tbh. I've always thought it's out-of-touch older generation Japanese CEOs who don't understand the Internet or the fact that more than just Japanese people will be interested in Japanese artists and/or Japan-only releases, but that's a more benign take on the whole thing.

It's called U+아이돌Live and it will broadcast on July 26th at 17:00 KST. It's available on Google Play and Apple. So far it looks like i-fans need to set their app store to be located in Korea, and I haven't seen any i-fans get it working yet so it might only work for k-fans
It also works that way in newer versions of MacOS - if you press and hold down a key, a menu pops up on the screen on the same was as it does on iOS, and then you just type the number key it’s labelled with to get that letter: http://osxdaily.com/2017/03/22/type-accents-mac-easy/

why aren't any of the main youtube channels loading bts and halsey's performance from the show? halsey's performance of "without me" is not even available. this is very disturbing. clearly youtube has an anti-bts bias. seems like they are also blackballing any artists who collaborates with them.
hooktube.com is an alternative site that does not give youtube views.

Our very own /u/FreddyBlackJack broadcasts every sunday night. It's usually a mix of kpop, jpop, edm, and other various things mostly by request from our irc channel. Sometimes there are themed shows but we usually have a nice mix of genres.

Besides watching their MVs, this listography is a good way to start off! It has a comprehensive list of their activities up until December 2017 as well as links to many of their show appearances.
Snuper also has their own youtube channel, where they have their personal show, Snuper Film. These videos are either vlog style, following them throughout their promotion and leisure activities, or more organized, where the staff give them fun challenges and games! They've started subbing the more recent episodes, so I recommend checking those out!
I've been planning on getting a Spotlight post ready for their comeback, so it'll definitely go into more detail than this, but I hope this is a good start!
For Snuper, here's a primer I found awhile ago with links to varieties and other videos! It's updated up to may this year, so this youtube channel has a few more recent things with subs. I have been on the border of getting into them for the longest time since I love all of their songs, but I never find the time. So I keep collecting sources for when I will have time!
I'm pretty sure this one is the one from YG on Amazon.
EDIT: Although on second glance, even though it's listed by YG Entertainment, the seller information is KPOP MARKET and OKGENIE, so maybe not?
Not sure if this is the right place to promote but I just created my first Android application! It was mainly for me to just learn about Java and app development haaha. It's a Big Bang Song Quiz so it'd mean the world if any VIPs could check it out and test it for me! Link here.
Not gonna lie, it's looks pretty cheap since I have zero design skills but I think it's pretty challenging/fun for any Big Bang fans out there :)
Nope, not just you! My guess is that the clock speed of the processor (the figure you see measured in MHz or GHz) is a little higher than that of the original NES the ROM was meant to be played on. These old games often had their internal timers linked to the clockspeed of the processor. This is all fine and dandy when you only ever have to run it on one type of processor, but it can lead to funky stuff when you try to run it on different hardware. My guess would be that the ROM used for SMB is an NTSC ROM, but the clock speed of her system's processor is set to the faster speed of the PAL NES, which I believe would cause it to run about 25% faster than intended.
See this Super User question for more detail.
Wait, is this her instagram account?
EDIT: Park Jimin of 15& is following her, so I guess that's really her account. Welp, this confirms that she is definitely back in the US.
Quite simply... one of the most bass-y and pumping remixes I've ever heard...
EDIT: ... Well... errr it's Japanese but... >.> OP Posted a JP SNSD song so... :)
If AKP loads slowly and bogs down your browser it's because of all the social media plug ins which you can disable with ghostery.

The preorder I'm getting off of ebay is supposed to come with a poster.
The one he reposted is supposed to come with 2 posters and a card set.
