If you want something that plays local music, and has eq, and plays podcasts, and has internet radio, you can check DoubleTwist app, but for me it's too much features.

I'll take this opportunity to PSA Sony Xperia users (not sure if others can also do this):

The music app has Google Drive support (in the latest versions, that is), meaning you can stream and download music from there.

Walkman can do that too... it syncs the music from your phone to the watch so you can listen to it later without the phone using BT headphones.

Of course Google Music can do that as well!

Most likely it's a Samsung-exclusive download for Samsung Android devices.

But if you can't install it for some reason (don't know if you have to own a Sony smartphone or not), Google Play music app is decent.

If you can get it to install, Sony's offering is a solid choice. It even lets you mass-retrieve album art. Very complete music player app.

Though it's no longer under active development, WETA includes it. You can always join the telegram channel and ask the dev how to make it work in other roms.
