I'm going to recommend an app that I've loved for years, ever since I had my first Android phone and I still use it.
It's like a more basic version of windirstat but for Android
Mi Music is rubbish. Try using Sony Music Player from here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/sony-mobile-communications/walkman-music/walkman-music-9-4-4-a-0-3-release/
It can't be downloaded from PlayStore, since it's made only for Sony smartphones. But you can see screenshots and descripltion here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonyericsson.music&hl=en_US
Yes, I managed to do it via this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miui.android.fashiongallery All you have to do is open it on your device an click uninstall Found the solution here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/prqyzd/how_do_i_remove_the_wallpaper_carousel_icon_from/
Backup your data. Follow steps here to unlock the boatloader of your phone : https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html
Now you will need to flash a recovery (I use TWRP.ME, find the one for your device)
Enter recovery, wipe data, flash your ROM, restart you're done.
You can use google photos or just reinstall galery as this should be a onetime issue, but there are lots of gallery alternatives simple gallery google photos
Fluid Navigation Gestures can help you with using the gestures on any other launcher other than the stock one on MIUI. You might want to tweak it a little bit according to your usecase.
You can remove the Snap cam, Google Files App etc., without any issues
You can use App like 3C or do it manually via adb
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.at.free&hl=en_US&gl=US
I got this https://www.amazon.com.mx/dp/B07SQQQXJW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share and it covers the screen facing the phone down, and it's not expensive, but if you need a 1 dollar premium carbon fiber case I got this https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ
This app works for me to find a suitable version. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.granturismo.gcamator&hl=es
I tried Urnyx and Parrot versions but none of the could record video using the front camera, the version Gcamator installed could though.
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/sony-mobile-communications/walkman-music/
You can see screenshots of it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonyericsson.music
If you want something that plays local music, and has eq, and plays podcasts, and has internet radio, you can check DoubleTwist app, but for me it's too much features.
Try Disk Usage
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage&hl=en
It'll show you visually what's taking space and you might be able to see some huge 'cache' folders that can be deleted
I'm using xiaomi.eu stable with this app called Customiuizer. It extends the customization features of miui by quite a lot actually, comparable to some custom roms. The only downside is that installing it is kinda of a pain; you need Magisk installed, then you need to install 2 modules - Riru Core and EdXposed (which requires Riru Core). Then you gotta download the EdXposed manager app, install customiuizer from the play store and enable it in EdXposed. Whole process takes a few reboots and every time you make a change in Customiuizer you need a soft reboot to see the changes but after you get everything working it's pretty nice
Most likely Android 11 will be the last android supported on both phones. Look at your 9T/Pro like a flagship from 3 years ago, MI 6, or Galaxy S7, which only has andorid 8. SD730 will be just fine if you will keep your phone for 2-3 years. 855 will be fine for an extra year, but android will be outdated by then.
Harware: Xiaomi 9T and a gorilla pod.
Settings: ƒ/1.75 32 s 4.77 mm (35mm eqv. of 26mm) ISO 3200
Software: Photoshop. 3 layer stack. I should try stacking a lot more layers some other day and use raw from gcam.
Also on a 6P here. I would choose the mi9t myself because ~~it's about half the price of the Note 9 here in Europe and~~ (nevermind, I just checked Amazon and it's gone down in price since I last looked to ~€120 more) I like simplicity of rooting and installing custom ROMs on the Xiaomi. If I didn't care for custom ROMs I would certainly choose the Note 9.
Here's a direct spec comparison, think about what features you really want in a phone and then compare and see which is better for your needs https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9163&idPhone2=9738
Hey there!
I have the same problem. My Mi 9T fell on a small rock and the screen won't on. The phone itself should still work because I saw notification lights blinking and my old wake up alarm went off the other day.
I already got the Mi10t pro, the successor to it. Simply because I didn't have many choices and had to get a replacement phone ASAP.
However, I am still thinking to repair it since it's still a decent phone and might be useful as a backup or maybe for a fellow friend or family member. Maybe use it to experiment with custom ROMs as it's not the daily driver anymore, could be fun...
But I am not too sure if it's only the screen and if I would be able to repair it. I do have a good skill set and experience repairing PC's and other tech but not sure if I want to risk wasting 100-150$ or whatever on parts just to realise something else is broken as well...
The battery should be replaced as well at this point as I got my phone @ launch, battery life could be better but those are around 10-20$, so that's a no-brainer.
Anyway, if you still need parts: I've found dragon-tt.com and aliexpress as a good source. dragon-tt is most likely an original (judging from several reviews & forums) and aliexpress is just cheaper and usually LCD.
I got my phone one or two weeks after launch so I am pretty sure warranty is not a thing anymore, even if I had it, I doubt that it'd be eligible since it's kind of my fault. The same scenario as you have
Kimovil.com is a good website for comparing phones.
For example, for your requirements, it recommends the Redmi 10x Pro: https://www.kimovil.com/en/compare-smartphones/f\_max\_d+gbpPrice.275,i\_stt+id.2:3:6
ive heard that this App works good, tho i havent tried it out myself.
Im sticking with the MIUI launcher for now
sure. first you need to unlock bootloder. Follow steps here https://en.miui.com/unlock/ After you unlock you need to enable usb debugging on your phone. Settings, about phone, miui verison tap on miui version 7 times then go back to settings main screen. Go to additional settings, developer options and enable usb debugging. After that on your oc install this https://androiddatahost.com/jxcz8. And download your device s twrp from twrp.me . Then connect your phone to the pc using a USB to Type C cable and open a command window./powershell and type "adb devices" then accept the prompt on your phone. After that type "adb reboot bootloader" and wait for your phone to reboot to fastboot mode. Once in fastboot type "fastboot devices" and make sure your pc can see your phone. then type "fastboot flash recovery here drag the twrp.img you previously dowbloaded" and press enter. Flashing process should take around 2-3 seconds. Once flashed Hold Power and Volume up until a memu called twrp pops up. There, go to wipe advanced wipe and select system data dalvik cache and swipe. then go back to the main menu go to wipe format data and type yes. Once you do that go back to the main menu and press on reboot and select recovery. Your phone should reboot back to the twrp menu. Then copy your ROM and DFE (vendor not needed since you re coming from MIUI). Once copied flash the Vendor and DFE and reboot. You will now have a custom rom. If you have any isssues or questions or want me to help you during the process my telegram is @vladsendrix. Hope this helped you :)
noo, to unlock bootloader do this. go to settings about phone press on mii version 7 times until you get a popup saying you are now a developer. then go to the main menu of the settings, go to additional settings then developer options and go enable OEM unlocking ( do whatever it says there, add mi account etc). Once enabled, put your phone in fastboot (Power off then press power and volume down until you boot into fastboot mode). Then connect it to your pc. On your pc download adb drivers ( https://androiddatahost.com/up9hg ) and download Mi Unlock Tool and apply for unlocking ( https://en.miui.com/unlock/ ) then open mi unlock press unlock and it will fail saying something along the lines of wait 168 hours or more, dependsz after you wait the timer do the.unlocking process again and it'll work. since you re on linux, either use a friend s windows pc or use a virtual machine.
Yeah, that's exactly why I said I get his rant. But I think we can all agree that had the guy researched a little bit more, he would've found out that:
- The latest official TWRP on twrp.me seems to be working fine.
- Mi 9T does NOT get the official LineageOS support. Hence, a buggy version is something that he should expect.
- The community would've recommended him Pixel Experience, Extended, Havoc, or some other alternatives AOSP ROMs to buggy LOS.
- LineageOS simply does not support Gcam (they stated that clearly on their homepage).
Moral of the story? Research I guess. Communities on Reddit (generally saying) are incredibly friendly, so help can always be found if you remember to reach out.
SCRCPY, works in every phone using Android 4.4+, can be used wirelessly and with the type c cable, for the remote control you need to enable that setting in the developer options, I believe it's something around the words of security and control under usb debugging, try it, I did today.
I can't tell anything is different when watching YouTube. I don't have Netflix but here's a screen shot from this DRM info app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidfung.drminfo
I want to recommend one of my favorite apps, it's called Disk usage, you choose your storage location, let it analyze it and you'll get a thorough breakdown of how much is being used by what.
Are you suggesting that this randomly happens or does it happen all the time?
if it randomly happens then do what the previous comment mentioned, but if the thing happens all the time then I advise you to download this app: Display Tester
Go to the test tab and select touch screen test. After which you need to swipe the area of the screen where the touch seems to be irresponsive. If you fail to get the green pixels in the said area then my friend, you need a new display.
Lol no it's not that obscure of a knowledge. For example every OEM uses that app (some might reskin it) because it's required to give access to files in newer apps, an example is this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iudesk.android.photo.editor I'm on miui right now and the same app still pops up even if I'm not on evox
I use the Extra Battery app ans enable customized mode. Link to the app is here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrm.batterysaver&hl=en&gl=US
Spigen Rugged Armour
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Spigen-Rugged-Compatible-Xiaomi-Original/dp/B07QY4Y8GG
I´ve had it for almost two years and it´s been brilliant
Im not having any luck getting anything to work. I ordered this one from Amazon.... NOTHING! It was so bad, i was refunded but told to keep it; they didn't want it either. I am going to try little bit more expensive Hub or Port this time. Link below...https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00NLL10P4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_nDT6FbGMPSFW4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
That was happening to me too for a few days. Now I'm usingthe Notify and Fitness app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mc.miband1
Use this modified mi fit to get the auth key. https://geekdoing.com/threads/modified-mi-fit-4-7-0-all-in-one.2528/
After that you can remove mi fit and enjoy your band without the stupid spam :)
For those who want this function, but are on miui 11 (could work on older probably too) you can use Musicolet
It has lock screen control much more advanced than random music apps
you can get it yourself. here you go.
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261785601
1) Install apks from the zip file! 2) Download Google wallpaper app :-https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.wallpaper 3) Select the wallpaper you want to apply ( Earth live wallpaper or Mars live wallpaper)
Well, I'm not sure I exactly get what you're talking about, but it does exist.
It's called RCS. But you can only use it if you and your contacts use the google app message.
They've closed the API so you can use RCS only with this app (for now ?)
Do you have Magisk installed? If not, could you check? There are Test Tools like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.freeandroidtools.safetynettest&hl=de on Playstore :)
Download the app Activity Launcher, open it a literally write in the search field the word night (even if you have your system set to Spanish write the word in English), you will see two results, the first comes migrated from Android One so tap on it and disable it. That's all.
The second one it's just the regular Miui's reading mode. After that you can keep or delete the app. If you need more help just ask, también hablo español ;-)
It should be available when you have the digital wellbeing app installed. I'm guessing yours didn't install automatically.
If it isn't already, go here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.wellbeing and install it
Even easier option, use Custom Quick Settings and set a tile to the launcher you're using and you don't need to close the settings app every time you want PiP, as it acts as a home button input the same way 3 button nav does
Oh, I somehow missed how you mentioned different spigen cases, sorry. I used this one . I'll be looking into it
I've use something like this before: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devcice.antiblurcam But it was a long time (I used to hve like nougt or smth) it works taking about 3 pictures and then it saves automatically the less blurred one. If you want for videos there's some pc post processing software that remove shakings.
