If you want to make your own there is an app that will let you add your own. It even has settings for single and long press
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
It should be noted that the third app he recommends, Custom Quick Settings which is used to make custom quick tiles will only work with your device if it has the System UI Tuner.
Have Marshmallow but no root? Custom Quick Settings enables you to adjust the tiles in your quick settings to your liking!
If anyone really want to have this now and has Android 5+ and root, there are Apps for that, for example this one
> fea
I am just nitpicking, it's got all the major features. As far as i can tell its missing LCD setting, Notification drawer settings and advanced reboot.
Features included: Buttons, Status Bar, Themes (I tried to theme Status bar with CM12 theme, it works), Privacy Guard, Display (except LCD), Root.
I just restored all my apps with data using TWRP (Nandroid), haven't had any issues so far. Marshmallow is buttery smooth.
EDIT: Just noticed an issue, if you are someone who uses screen pinning with hardware button enabled, you cant unpin it. it requires you to press recents and back to unpin (which can only be done through Onscreen nav bar).
2nd EDIT : 2nd Edit: In regards to the notification toggle edit, the UI tuner from stock android works, so we must be able to use Custom Quick Settings
I'm going to add this as well: Custom Quick Settings
Custom quick toggles was always one of my favorite ROM features and you can do quite a bit without root using this app.
You could install Custom Quick Settings
This will let you add a toggle in your Quick Settings for Immersive mode.
You may have to run a couple of ADB commands when you first install. It's been a while since I set mine up.
This is what my screen looks like.
This also means that you can run any app without the status bar.
I've heard a lot of people complaining that going home using gestures/navbar doesn't activate picture-in-picture mode in apps like YouTube, Maps, etc like it does in most other ROMs. This is a workaround method. You can also do this by opening a notification (even better if you have one stickied), but using this, there is no need to open another app or keep a notification in the notification tray.
Link to app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
Launcher: Nova Launcher
In Custom Quick Settings, you can create a custom toggle for the Quick Settings, when you do, go to Launch App, and select your default launcher (assuming you're using a custom launcher).
Can already be done in 6.0 with Custom Quick Settings. No root required.
Not as simple to add though, and a bit slow to open at times, but it works just fine.
There's an app for that you can set up quick setting toggles for a variety of different things, one of which is launching apps
This makes it very easy to create a note from your quick settings that will be a high priority unclearable notification making it damn near impossible to forget something. Assuming you're the type that checks your phone a lot like me.
> No shortcuts for calculator or clock?
You can customize the notification center to a certain point without root or Gravity Box in Marshmallow by enabling System UI Tuner and using an app like Custom Quick Settings
You mean when the QS panel is collapsed? You don't need xposed for this, there's a hidden android setting that does it. My app can change it, in its settings: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
Don't need to root! I use this app and with the secure toggles through a one time ADB command have an immersive mode toggle in my notification shade to toggle immersive mode.
I'm not sure if it will work for the S7, but this works on a Moto X Pure (6.0). The developer is pretty active on Twitter and will respond if you have specific questions. Hope it helps: Custom Quick Settings
I've been using Custom Quick Settings for the past couple of days and I'm enjoying the convenience. You can add apps such as calculator, google maps, youtube, etc. I hope this helps!
So far I got Custom Quick Settings to open Assistant. I emailed the developer to ask if they knew how I could send it a command and to ask for them to add support for Assistant.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=en_US
I have the Custom Quick Settings app that adds extra settings to the notification shade and this is one of the options
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=en
Coming from Samsung, this was one of the Quick Tiles that I was really missing. I've been able to replicate it using an app called Custom Quick Settings to add the toggle to the quick tiles. Have it set to Normal/Vibrate/Silent, and if I double tap it takes me to the volume settings screen.
Oh damn, rascarlo has an app too? Nice nice, I ended up buying Custom Quick Settings back on Marshmallow so I just used that!
Both of the apps achieve the same thing AFAIK, so it doesn't matter what anyone uses
Seems to work pretty well (I'm stock & unrooted). For example, I use the calculator a lot, so I added it to the quick Settings shade and can touch the icon from the lock screen, which then prompts me for my PIN/fingerprint and unlocks the phone directly into the Calculator app.
You need the app Custom Quick Settings for that though, right?
I think QuickRick have to be my favorite so far of what I've seen.
Have you unlocked System UI Tuner? You can change the quick settings from there.
Pull down quick settings, long press the settings icon to the top right. Now go to Settings -> System UI Tuner -> Quick Settings.
You can also hide things from the notification bar there and show battery percentage (which isn't very good atm but it's there).
With the app Custom Quick Settings you can even add your own things.
Edit: I also got back double-tap to wake a week ago so you should get it soon if it's not available yet.
Custom quick settings. It does just what the name implies.
Here are the ones I have added so far:http://i.imgur.com/saucb1R.png
You can even set different long and short press options. For example, if I single press camera I open Proshot. If I long press it opens the default camera app.
I'm going to add a shortcut to my password manager also.
Oh, and its free.

Check this app out Custom Quick Settings. Here's a tutorial. I was able to add the data sync toggle back into quick settings, although it doesn't dim when not syncing... just stays 'lit up' like its active, although it's not.
I wasn't able to do it in Tasker on my phone (A11), but i think Tasker has (or plans to have) this functionality on Android 13.
I could however do it with Custom Quick Tiles, using root commands.
But this is also REALLY not simple. (Although it should be)
First, you need a command that works on your phone. On my OnePlus i can use settings put global oneplus_screen_refresh_rate and set it to 1 or 0 to choose 60 or 90 Hz. But this won't work on a Xiaomi.
Second, and WORST, not only do you need a paid version of the app (like a dollar) to use root commands, it is SUPER FUCKING BUGGY. As in, it will usually not give a shit about what you tell it and will just not save the changes you make.
But since I did spend over half an hour setting this SIMPLE thing up, here is a demonstration and how to set it up (which miraculously worked first try this time). Of course you have to replace the command with something for your phone.
Some tips to maybe avoid bugs when setting it up:
There are some apps that let you add more tiles to the pull-down tiles. I haven't used it, but this one says any setting can be added.

If you don't like missing features, boy have I got a surprise for you about Apple.
Try this With Android, all things are possible.
Hey man Android is very very customizable by apps. I use custom quick setting to do this. There is also this other app that's good and maybe others
For android users this link should work and itll help you get rid of it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=nl
im a iphone user and i have this update for some reason
Even easier option, use Custom Quick Settings and set a tile to the launcher you're using and you don't need to close the settings app every time you want PiP, as it acts as a home button input the same way 3 button nav does
Custom Quick Settings app. Not directly a Tasker plugin but I use it several times every day to launch some of my most used tasks. Works ok for most of the time but sometimes it's missing an icon or two for a while. I assume that happens because of too aggressive battery management.
That place is not for apps. It's for widgets like turning on/off wifi, Bluetooth, flashlight
For opening apps like calculator, you open the calculator app. Or, because you chose Android, you get to enjoy the greatest part of it: it's openness and it's ability for you to change it to how you like.
Simply download this app' https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=en_US&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dcustom+quick+settings&pcampaignid=APPU_1_xvTuW8T0Gcub_QaQyKvABA
And follow it's instructions. If you need help, you can pm me
And I personally got my Pixel 1 for 240$ from Verizon in 2016, a huge discount plus Verizon later gave me a free upgrade to a Pixel 2, meaning I paid 240$ for about 1500$ worth of Pixel, loyalty deals are the best
like, even when there isn't music playing?
whenever music is playing there will always be a "now playing" notification. even when its paused and the app is still cached it'll be there.
if you want a play/pause button accessable even when the app has been closed, look into custom quick settings or similar apps. might not work on your specific phone/OS though.
this will add a play/pause button right in your quick settings toggle area
I use Custom Quick Tiles to make a quick tile which opens a widget. Not exactly what you're looking for but it's the solution that works best for me.
An app like this might be of use: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=en
I use a paid version called "Tiles", and it definitely has a screen timeout tile, but I assume both apps have all the functionality the other does - I linked the free one because I hate when people talk about/link non-free apps.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=en
You'll need root otherwise it won't do a location tile. Just create a custom tile and link the appropriate icons. It works exactly like the old tri-state setting. I also use this app to create the old sound mode toggle from CM12 (silent/vibrate/vibrate+ring).
I used Custom Quick Settings to add a sound toggle to replicate the Silence/Vibrate/Normal sound modes from my Samsung (Note 4). Also added a toggle for screen timeout (30s/1min/5min/10min/30min/never) that's pretty handy when you're trying to read a long article or using a recipe for cooking or something.
Also, it's free.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=en
Plenty of things!
And there's many more, these are just the main ones!
I believe that Dirty Unicorns ROM has a 3-finger swipe gesture for screenshot but flashing a whole new ROM just for that is probably not what you're looking for.
Edit: I have found this app, you can add a custom quick toggle and assign screenshot to it, among others.
You can probably make a custom tile for volume settings with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
Then rearrange your quick settings and put the tile wherever you'd like. It's probably not any more convenient than just using the volume rocker though.
Absolutely. Take a look at custom quick settings. Sync is under toggles in this app. It's really easy to use and it walks you through all the steps
My top request:
Two other "nice to haves":
I'm late to the party and don't know if anyone will read this, but I still believe in posting things in the canonical place. I'll ask Bragi about setting up a real feature tracking site.
If your main issue is the icon under quick settings, I suggest you try to add the toggle through this app and change the icon from there
Hello again, FYI I just came across this article that that describes an app that adds function to the System UI tuner for the average joe.
Issue #3:
Issue 5i:
Without root you can customise your phone quite a lot. Check out Nova Launcher for a highly customisable Launcher (the home screen and app drawer) experience. I got the paid version years ago and I would buy it many times over. There are tonnes of other apps and widgets you can use to customise your experience. Root and Xposed will give you more customisation options that you may have imagined possible.
If you want to improve the connection between your phone and computer check out Join which uses a Chrome extension. Beta signup is here: http://joaoapps.com/announcing-join-a-new-way-to-connect-your-devices/ It is very new but is developing quickly and its developer is very responsive to feedback!
Tasker is a big one if you want to get the most out of Android. /r/tasker is full of ideas. Essentially "when THIS happens do THAT" but it can be really complicated. Root brings greater functionality. The AutoApps suite (by the same developer as Join) is excellent. Tasker is incredibly powerful and most people's first impression is to be absolutely overwhelmed - I certainly was! So many possibilities and no idea where to start. There are some good tutorials on /r/tasker and they start off small, which is very useful.
To add to your quick settings customisation thing this takes it a step further: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=en You can put pretty much anything in your quick settings as a short cut. Without root! There is a step by step guide in the app on how to set it all up.
I just found a solution: Custom Quick Settings
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
Follow the directions carefully as it's not the most straightforward to add a quick setting, but it works. I was able to add a Sync quick settings button with the free version, but I bought it to see the pro features, which I didn't find useful (and no easy refund, arrg). I'm not totally sure, but it seemed like with the non-pro version, the custom quick setting icon didn't toggle on and off, so it was always gray, but after the purchase, the icon toggled gray and white as expected. So maybe the $1.53 was worth it.
Turn on System UI Tuner and get this
Can you maybe not just rearrange it with this app?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=de
Edit: I just watched this video about it have you tried swiping a quick setting onto the plus symbol to remove it?
You can also use the Custom Quick Settings app or the Power Toggles app to add it as a quick setting. I tend to use it too when I feel I need to preserve battery/data. Root is not required for using it, but you will need to enable to System UI tuner.
i can't see the option to customize the toggles. I meant the LCD Display settings to change the DPI, but it can be done with a third party app from play store.
I did a nandrod backup(TWRP) and clean wipe (everything except Int storage), flashed latest CM12.1 nightly, wiped system and flashed the rom and slim gapps. used CM's root to and Titanium Backup to restore data from nandroid backup (you need Pro version).
Edit: In regards to the notification toggle edit, the UI tuner from stock android works, so we must be able to use Custom Quick Settings
EDIT (and this can be useful for anyone): the developer of Custom Quick Settings must have read my mind and released today the toggle to take a screenshot from the quick settings (the ones appearing by dragging down above the notifications). Apparently this specific function is available only for rooted devices, but in this way taking screenshots will be much easier, even with one hand! Download the app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
If you're on Marshmallow you can now use an app called Custom Quick Settings to create quick settings for this without a custom rom or even root in most cases.
Pro version lets you create tiles that link to Tasker profiles, so there's pretty much no limit to what you can do with it.
I'm a bit late to the party, but it now supports Android 5.0/5.1 with root, as well as the must requested custom icons & icon states
Features:
Add as many quick settings as you like to your stock quick settings (no silly overlays or hacks)
Custom titles (custom tiles only, you can't change the default ones on Android 6.0, on 5.1/5.0 you can rearrange them)
Custom icons, chose from over 1,200 icons (custom tiles only, you can't change the default ones)
Icons from device (choose your own icons)
Icons that change state (where supported: WiFi, Bluetooth, Adaptive Brightness, Hotspot & all the root toggles)
No persistent notification & no battery drain - runs at boot and updates only when you change them
Action on both short and long click
Tasker intent support (tutorial: http://goo.gl/McoF6J)

This is courtesy of https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
I'm on Nougat now but it also works on marshmallow. It's not perfect, mostly because it can be slow at times and the tile gives no indication of current setting, but it's the best solution I've found currently.
App can do lots of other stuff too.
Not all of these are 'new', but a few are new to me/recently discovered.

My recommendation is Custom Quick Settings. You can do more with it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
You can actually add custom tiles using 3rd party apps. Here are some useful links:

I use the app Custom Quick Settings for this. It's free and doesn't even require root.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
Try that to get the calculator back
So it's like custom quick settings, but with only the reboot options?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
This works with 5.0 and up, including N
You want Custom Quick Settings. Free, only requires root for <6.0.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
Use this gapps http://opengapps.org/#
And longpress the settings icon in the statusbar to activate the System UI Tuner. You can manage the quick toggles there. With this app you can add more toggles https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings Also today's builds already have dpi setting included. This is the latest one which I just flashed. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982086993763
Someone posted the link to this app which allows you to have a wifi toggle in quick settings. Worked for me!

Custom Quick Settings https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
Was just meant as one of my favorites.
You can add a quick tile for pretty much anything using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
I released Custom Quick Settings 2.1 yesterday with a load of new features a 25% off pro sale until July 7th. See this thread for more details, and download it on Google Play (or APKMirror if you prefer)
you might be able to make a toggle with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=en
Like add other switches (e.g. toggles for Tasker routines, etc.)
You can use Custom Quick Settings to create a quick setting in the pull down menu.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
I've put mine at the bottom right and you can use system icons to label the quick setting. I'm on stock too, it doesn't need root.
Launcher: Google now
Widgets: Wallpaper changer (circling arrows in the right bottom)
Just like to keep it simple, I like mountains :p My wallpaper changes every night, or when I want to with the widget. Got the camera button out of there because of the double press quick acces.

Alternatively if you have 6.0+ you could add a custom toggle to the pull down shade using Custom Quick Settings.
You can also get a sync toggle by using Custom Quick Settings. Root not required.
You can add and remove tiles
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
If it has System UI tuner (which it probably will), you can use my app for that /shamelessplug
I use Custom Quick Settings
Yes, hold on for a sec... Here you go. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
You might be able to use something like this.
I don't believe it's stock. I think it's from the app Custom Quick Settings https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings&hl=en
Try custom quick settings
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
You can use the suggestions here and put a toggle for it using this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
I personally use Custom Quick Settings to launch Noteable Plus and Google Keep
I've never tried it, but have it in my wishlist, but you could try Custom Quick Settings if you have a 6P.
you do not need root to add custom tiles through Custom Quick Settings
...Or for true customization there is this: Custom Quick Settings
Sure it does. Just need to go in and change the app specific settings. There are a few other apps that have an odd auto color setting, too, so going into Navbar Apps to specify what color it should use is necessary in those cases.
Also, It's not a built in solution but there's a custom quick toggles app that allows you to have an immersive toggle. Here it is. Again, it's not a perfect solution as to get the tile for immersive mode to show up you need to use an adb command to grant the permissions to the app, but it's doable, at least until Google decides to make such a tile exist. Though in my opinion they made the audio/Do-Not-Disturb and the battery/Battery-Saver quick tile/toggles less useful here in Oreo. :/
Hey, you made Custom Quick Settings‽
I have to be honest, I didn't complete the purchase. I wanted to use it to create an NFC toggle, which it isn't capable of (yet). But I guarantee when it gains that ability, I'm all in. Also looking forward to possible future Tasker integration!
