It actually looks better this way http://i.imgur.com/CblbsS9.png :)
Edit: posted on repo http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.mohammadag.xposedpreferenceinjector
Edit2 : Changed image to the one where I sorted the modules alphabetically.
I would like this as well. If someone does look into making something like this take a look at this theme. It's the best one I've seen so far.
I'm not sure if that's an appropriate analogy, but are you asserting that non-revenue apps should be exclusive to 1 developer?
Edit: sorry, just looked up Mythical Man Month on wiki;
The Mythical Man-Month: Essays on Software Engineering is a book on software engineering and project management by Fred Brooks, whose central theme is that "adding manpower to a late software project makes it later"
This module already exists
Disable flag secure, I'm not sure if it works on Lollipop or not, it's a permission claiming the content you're viewing is secure which prevents you from screenshotting/recording, this module ignores this permission.
I'm glad you looked first. I would suggest emailing him, but that may or may not yield a response. Someone could make a kang of his project similarly to what Smooth system progress bars did. Good luck
Part of the 1.5 release is a Deluxe/Premium version, but the update notes say nothing about including ads. He's charging $2.99 for Premium, $9.99 for Deluxe, which hardly add any features (the unlimited replay feature was actually included previously for free). This is a really great module, but I almost want to uninstall it because of this.
I used to use 3G Watchdog before Google built data limits into Android. It allows you to set arbitrary time periods for your cycle.
Sorry, I know a standalone app isn't as elegant as an Xposed module, but in case you don't find one this can definitely do it.
Hopefully I can manage to install Xposed on my emulator so I can develop a module like this today.
EDIT: Oh well, that was easy. Trying to make the module.
EDIT2: Hm, do you have a place for me to find the resources maybe?
EDIT3: Alright, got the module working. Will finish it this evening. I don't have time right now to edit the images.
EDIT4: Boom. There we go. Let me know what you guys think (and if its even working for you).
I personally use Twidere (which doesn't have ads), so I'm not too familiar with the official Twitter app. However, I'd be glad to look into it :-)
(I do have midterms this week though, so please don't expect anything soon!)
No. This module removes the Flag_Secure permission in applications that prevent you from using the screenshot function, Snapchat doesn't use this, it allows you to take screenshots but alerts the other user.
What you're looking for is Snap Prefs this module allows you to take screenshots without the sender receiving a notification, and even allows auto saving of all images, plus various other tweaks
Decompiling the apk, it hooks into Drawable's drawableFromBitmap method and scales the bitmap by 50%.
I suppose it would free up some memory. Not seeing anything malicious.
'One Tap Youtube Module is an add-on for "One Tap Video Download" Xposed module:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phantom.onetapvideodownload It enables user to download or play a Youtube videos using other players.'
I also recommend this module: YouTube Background Playback,
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.pyler.youtubebackgroundplayback
In combination with both modules you can have a blast with hearing the song you want directly from the YT app and download the music from it.
Doesn't Snapprefs let you do pretty much the same thing? You can share any photo with Snapchat, which just opens that photo in Snapchat like you just took it in the app.
I use this one on CM12.1: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.smartmadsoft.xposed.disablesuindicator
Apparently it works on CM13 as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-disable-su-indicator-cm12-t3056432/page2
No need for a module, the version you can download from the whatsapp homepage has an option to disable it (and still receives updates from the Play Store).
Settings --> Account --> Privacy --> uncheck read receipts
This isn't an xposed module, but there is an app called Recently that has several options including the option of only showing running apps in the recents list.
Link to app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.recently
Germany: unsupported as of 1st June
(Workaround: Use TunnelBear to connect to VPN, clear data of Photos app, open Photos app and play through the introduction. Done.)
Have you looked into XInsta? It does a good job of hiding ads most of the time. Not sure about disabling the Explore tab, although you can disable side navigation.
There once has been a module called Xtended Navbar or something similar and it did exactly what the V20 does, but it hasn't been updated forever and stopped working for me a long time ago. But it certainly is possible.
One that's not really talked about much but I really appreciate is called Eye Preserver.
It's a simple module which slightly increases the brightness levels for auto brightness at lower brightness settings. So if your device's auto brightness (it works with adaptive brightness too) is too dim at the lowest brightness, this module tricks the system into thanking the room is a little bit brighter than it is by increasing the lux value passed to the system by the ambient light sensor. It only modifies brightness settings below 180lux, so it is only for the lower end of the brightness spectrum, but it's fantastic for devices that are just set a little too dim at the lowest auto brightness setting.
thanks, where can I find it?
on the website I only see 2.7 or older
http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
EDIT: found it :) thanks! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
I just checked xposed, there is one that sounds like it's exactly what you're asking for: Notification Count - http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.bbukowski.notifcount (that's exactly what my default setup looks like on CM 11).
I really like Better Open With. You set it as the default app and then you can choose an app from within the list. It's not an Xposed module but it works really well.
>Resources-related incompatiblity on newer CM12-based ROMs
I have been working on the Remove Battery Saver Warning Color module. Testing if this once and for all fixes the imcompatability with CM12.
You don't need a module. You can edit these on the new desktop Google Contacts interface. (I'm not sure if it's still opt-in, but if it is, visiting https://contacts.google.com/ will ask you if you want to try the new contact manager. Click yes. Otherwise, it will just take you to your contacts.)
Now find the contact you want to edit and click on it. In the screen that pops up, it will show the g+ profile info, as usual. If they have added no contact info at all aside from email, then you will see a link that says "add private contact details." Click that and edit the name and other details as you see fit. If they have added some details but not all, you will see a box with the info and the pencil icon--click that and edit as needed. Then save.
Finally, it will be updated in Hangouts the next time you exit and relaunch Hangouts (make sure you have sync enabled for your Google account). Also note that this won't update the name in the frequently contacted section of Hangouts until you next communicate with that contact. But you should be able to see the modifications in your contacts list in Hangouts as soon as you exit and relaunch.
Check out emoji switcher on the Play Store. Requires root but you can choose a bunch of different emoji sets.
Edit...It's not an Xposed module.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamworks.noheadsup
This is what you are looking for, I think you need the pro version to enable the ticker but it'll work exactly like you want it to.
You could try Wanam Xposed.
Have you also tried using a different launcher such Nova or Themer?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mycolorscreen.themer
you can search for it in the xposed repo, but let me get it for you.
If root make this a system application. Closest thing to this thus far.
While it's not Chrome, I find Lightning's inverted rendering option good for darkness. Here's a screenshot from today's news.
Velur! I've looked around at others but they don't really seem to click with me like it does. It gets regular updates adding support for more icons pretty much every week, and the dev is really responsive if there's an icon that isn't supported
Edit: the home button module is called Battery Home Button
Hey, you can also use "Lock screen widgets [L-M]", which lets you customize and hide almost anything of your Lockscreen (except Fingerprint icon, but Clean Lockscreen can't do that either). You can also place Widgets on your Lockscreen and move notification up/down and lot more crazy stuff :D
NotifyClean will handle all that for you. You can combine notification icons to just show 1 for each app, you can hide notifications/icons. I use it to keep a single icon for each app. Im using it on CM13 on a Moto G 1st gen and a S4 on 5.0.2
Xposed Torch was just released with an update to support MM on the 28th, it allows control of the flashlight function with a long press on Volume Up button. It's not showing up through the xposed app yet, but can be directly downloaded here.
RootCloak works for me but I have only used it with one app I need it for.
Note that the xposed module did not activate itself for me, so double check if it's activated after you install it.
I'm not in a country where Now Tv is available in so I'm unable to confirm if it works with RootCloak or not.
Sorry, I'm not on wifi, so, can't be sure, but I had this app. It doesn't run to me on 5.1.1, but it's something like "complete action plus". I hope it is what you are wanting
EDIT: Found the link: http://repo.xposed.info/module/hk.valenta.completeactionplus Is this it?
Physical Button Music Control:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/xeed.xposed.cbppmod
Xposed Additions:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.spazedog.xposed.additionsgb
These are just ways to remap the buttons, including the ability to disable them. I personally prefer Xposed Additions, and I use the premium version.
Don't know if this works, but if you're on kitkat try this http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.mods.appsettings once installed, open it and find viber, enable, set DPI to maybe 320 and you can also try using xlarge and see if that helps.
this would allow you to change vibers layout/DPI without messing with the phones.
WanamXposed works well, and also GravityBox (to a lesser extent; it's more for AOSP ROMs but partially works on KitKat TW). If you want something radically different for the notification bar, grab this:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.serajr.blurred.system.ui
And also get S5 UI and run it with that (if you're not on the S5). The result is this. This was my Note 3 on KitKat with S5 UI (hence the S5-like round toggles) and that blurring module. I removed a lot of stuff (toggle labels, handle bar on the bottom) with WanamXposed and then enabled the blurring module. In the screenshot it's actually blurring my homescreen/wallpaper/icons:
I've got the dark versions of Snapshare sitting on my SD card, and I'd be happy to send them to you if you like.
However, as /u/Desiredbean241 pointed out above, Snapprefs has all the same functionality.
Sure I can think of a few:
Both of these now have the option embedded since the newer updates.
I prefer snapcolors myself because there's a lot of cool things you can do with the text like change the font, opacity, color ect.
If you'd like a less bloated module than GravityBox (bloat being relative to how much of that module you are actually using, of course), then neXus navbarz does this.
Ok, here's what I did in order to get Snapchat working again:
1) Uninstalled SuperSu and Xposed (then checked with Root Checker to ensure that I was fully unrooted)
2) Installed/logged into Snapchat
3) Did systemless root using Magisk
4) installed systemless Xposed using Magisk Manager
Note that in the link above, it says if you're already rooted with SuperSu, you can just use MagiskManager, but I found that SafetyNet was still tripped. It was easier to just unroot and go with MagiskSu.
If you've got Android Studio, you can compile the APK to your phone. You just have to set 'Run > Edit Configurations > Launch Options' from 'Default Activity' to 'Nothing'
Just download the source code from here, drop it into a folder, and open it in Android Studio
I don't know how complicated this is but I have been requesting this forever in XDA and Reddit but no one seems to be interested or something.
There obviously are alternatives but we all know a system level feature would be so cool. I have found an app that does it very system-like. It's called LongShot https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leavjenn.longshot&hl=en_IN
It adds a quicksetting button which is also available so you're LITERALLY one click away from ttaking the long screenshot.
You mean when the QS panel is collapsed? You don't need xposed for this, there's a hidden android setting that does it. My app can change it, in its settings: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quinny898.app.customquicksettings
Do you mean like this? You can customize the nav bar with Custom Navigation Bar no root/Xposed/accessibility settings needed. The screenshot is from a Pixel XL on 8.1 with nav bar set to Pixel C.
Think some of these don't need xposed
Network Speed Indicator: there's a plethora of apps that will add network info to the status bar not sure exactly what you need but check the similar apps to this you may find what you want: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.internet.speed.meter.lite
Statusbar Headset Icon: already included in stock 7.1.1
XCallRecordingSettings: never needed xposed for call recording, only ever root. Using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder at the moment (needs a patch to be flashed and some testing to make sure it works but it does work)
Minimum Brightness: f.lux and cf lumen can reduce brightness with root or of course you could bring a range of sunglasses of various opacities wherever you go? ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪
VolumeSteps+, Not sure about this one
Things I miss about xposed are ability to change the flag thingamagig so you can screenshot stuff like netflix or other apps that don't allow it (prime now for some reason)
Being able to download instagram pics.
Oh and date in the status bar with the time in the middle.
Don't need exposed, there are apps that do it. The best one I have found so far is called SWIFI - there's a paid version but free is working fine for me.
You can do this without Xposed. You can highlight text with Google Now on Tap (or "screen search") and copy it from there.
This app also allows for this function.
~~Not an Xposed module, but~~ Flat Style Bar Indicators (Including the free version) can do this.
Edit:It is an Xposed module
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889300 Or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartprojects.MemoryLocker
The app I think basically does the same thing but via a graphical interface
Not a module. But there are apps on the play store that do this. Panoramic Screenshot is an open source app, but hasn't been updated for long.
Assuming you are rooted, I suggest using Link2SD to move some system apps out of the /system partition. You could also uninstall them if you want. This will clear some room for you to flash Xposed via TWRP.
Once you have decided which system apps you want to move (I moved Google Fit, Google+ and Hangouts because I didn't use them much):
That should be it. I just updated my Nexus 6 to the MMB29Q build and moving Google Fit, Google+ and Hangouts cleared over 50MB of storage which should be more than enough to flash Xposed.
I use an app (crippled free version) to do kinda the opposite, but it works very well. Rotations only take effect if I touch a translucent pop-up that appears for a short time after I move the phone. The pay version allows exceptions for apps that need them - especially games.
This needs to be on there:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ash.androidlnavigationbar
Here's an icon pack I just found that looks good: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nexbit.icons.moonshine&hl=en
"Flat Style Colored Bar" does not work yet in Nougat.
"Lolistat Reborn" its works in Nougat.
Try http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.hamzah.holothemer an xposed module. I think you may have to theme each app individually but in the end I prefer this as not all apps end up working in dark background. There may be a one or two other xposed modules that work similarly... Perhaps once called something like tinted translucent status bar? Can't remember
Custom Stock Lollipop Lockscreen will change the shortcuts. And Lock screen clock mods will allow you to change the font, etc.
This fixed it, but it also erased all my homescreens. I also had to re-enable Google Now on the left.
Thanks m8!
I first uninstalled updates and then downloaded and installed the 15.3.28.21 APK from https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-search/google-search-5-13-31-release/
I did a request for a module that allows to swipe up the heads up to hide the notification but to keep it in the notification center... Here is the result from an awesome reddit user: heads up hide
You can turn off transparent bars in the Nova settings under "Look and feel"? If that's not what you're looking for then maybe Translucent Style? This lets you force fully transparent bars, go solid, and many other options but it is global so it can't be for just Nova. http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.woalk.apps.xposed.translucentstyle
This sounds like something that can be better done by App Settings. You can achieve tablet mode by tweaking the DPI, Font Scale, and Screen (dp) values.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tellm.android.app This is jodel. No I'm on Android 7 so I'm using systemless xposed with magisk. I know it's xposed tho cus when I disable it the app works fine.. Would be interesting to know if it works on Android 8 and up tho
I honestly haven't. I use TunnelBear VPN to purchase Spotify premium for a month whenever I need to add support for Spotify in one of my apps.
But hey, TunnelBear also works for Pandora, so here you go http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.mohammadag.forcepandorarichnotification :D
Edit: you were right btw, it has an expanded notification, but it's disabled with:
...getABTestManager().isABTestActive(ABTestManager.ABTestEnum.ENHANCED_PERSISTANT_NOTIFICATION)
I'm pretty happy with my current results from the blocking available with the paid version of Friendly.
It's an arms race of sorts. Friendly is currently winning. There have been times in an earlier version where it seemed unable to block effectively.
If you want a simple solution that almost fits your needs. Can force landscape while using a selected application.
- Rotation - Orientation Manager – Android Apps on Google Play - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pranavpandey.rotation
Device configuration = they're blocking it intentionally with FLAG_SECURE
You could use "Texpand" I guess. It's not a Xposed module, but it does what you're trying to achieve. You can set text to shortcuts and it expands automatically as you type the shortcut letter. Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
No, not at all. The way apps like Twilight work, they put an actual tint over the screen as /u/Cyp12die4 said. It's like looking through stained glass. In contrast, CF.Lumen works by actually modifying the output color of your screen. So, installing a red light bulb in a lamp, instead of a white one.
So if apps like Twilight were like using your phone with sunglasses, then CF.Lumen is like actually turning your display brightness down instead. Hope that's a good explanation.
There is some chance that an app like Twilight that uses an overlay method can damage your screen over time, if only slightly. But an app like CF.Lumen is guaranteed to have no adverse effects on your screen, just based on the way it works. That is unless you're using the "Non-root" option in CF.Lumen. Any option other than that will serve you fine, no long-term damage possible.
You can ask the developer , if you want any modification.. :)
EDIT1 I found an app which adds a swipe up facility on android..may be you can use this app to get swipe up and then add that widget panel(app 1) as an action for swipe up slot
EDIT 2 I found exact application that you were looking for here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=inc.lonetooth.controlcenter
You mean, the order of the preset icons? (battery, WiFi etc.) If that's what you mean, Flat Style Bar Indicators allows you to do that. (Play Store link)
Check out this post on how to take pictures with shell commands. Combine that with the Xposed additions module and tasker (to run the shell command) and you should be able to do it.
Just another reccomendation of 3G Watchdog ive been using it for years.
Easy to setup, cheap for a paid for app and it's been getting updated the whole time. I have been using it since maybe the Android 2.2 days I believe it's one of the first apps I ever purchased and one of the first apps I install on every phone.
If you're running Cyanogenmod (or a ROM based on it) you could download a theme. Much safer and does the job well enough. I use this theme - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tung91.lconcept
Here's a couple more if you run into issues. I own the pro version of Team Battery Bar and it works great for me. On another device with a different google account, i'm using PowerLine which seems to work well and lets you add another bar for cpu, ram, downloads etc. No idea on battery savings for these. Thinking back, I've gotten a battery bar of some sort working on my last 4 phones and 2 tablets, love it! Good luck!
I found this and wanted to pass it along. I don't have Xposed installed right now so I cannot test it. Hopefully it helps. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.gavrikov.hidemocklocations
That may work in conjuction with the other app I mentioned.
Not an xposed module, but AirAudio can do this. Also works with a few other platforms. Free to try, $ to buy. Works decently well, I used to use it for GPM with Kodi before I found a working add-on.
I didn't really get what you were trying to explain, but I can explain what I did.
With GravityBox you have the option to turn navbar completely off.
With the app GMD GestureControl you can assign almost any gesture to actions. In my case I use the
I set much more gestures and really love using them instead of soft- or hard buttons. If you'r interested I can post my whole setup with all gestures :)
When I was running Snapperfs and all on my old phone, i was using SdFix with no issue.
Granted it was my s5 running 4.2.2 so I don't know if this will work for you.
In the app list, click on the app you want to detach, then slide right for the special features menu, then select 'detach from market'. I found that it only worked temporarily though, I'd have to redo it every other day.
Instead I found an app called ZipSigner which signs the apk with a non Google key which worked for me.
look into xposed additions. i used this a while back to map long press volume down to launch camera on my nexus 5. checked and it's supposedly compatible on 6.0+
Add new actions like click, long press, double tap, triple tap and so on, to any physical button on your device. Actions can be anything from mirroring a different button to launching applications or shortcuts. Xposed Additions gives you the most powerful re-map system for any mobile operating system and allows you to choose exactly what your buttons should do and when/where to do it.
I think if the video is in page then yeah chromes video player will play it. There is an app called vGet which acts like a browser and lets you play a video on a page with whatever video player you want. I use it a lot for streams. You can also use it to cast videos to Chromecast.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mb.videoget&hl=en
Woah, I didn't know the subscriptions URL was deep liked to the subscriptions tab in the app. Thanks.
This is the one simple solution and it's way better than using an Xposed module.
This might help someone reading the thread: I don't use Chrome and was wary of it needlessly caching in the background after the redirect.
You can use the app URL Shortcut which lets you add an icon widget with a destination url. It doesn't leave a process trail for itself :)
You can change the widget's icon in Nova Launcher.
Right now I'm using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grarak.kerneladiutor but I'd like to use something more lightweight.
I've tried setting up cron before, but wasn't successful.
Glovebox would be a nice way to organize the apps you want without much fuss.
I think the hardest part here is going to find a way for the application selected to open in a floating window, instead of in full screen like it usually would.
I'm interested to see what people come up with as well.
Not an xposed module, but I still use this even though I'm not using a note anymore.
There's actually an app that does this - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.masa.analog.clock&hl=en
It doesn't look too bad. With an xposed module you'd be able to change the position of the clock and there won't be a notification.
There's definitely a "Button for clearing all recent tasks at once" in Gravitybox http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-gravitybox-v3-1-5-tweak-box-android-t2554049
And also this module https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droidmate.rcleaner
I've been using this one for years, not a module and doesn't even need root. Says Android 5 compatible, but can't confirm myself.
I was getting the same error message on Z3 Compact which I Rooted with Giefroot- The problem fixed itself after I did the following:
Cleared internal and external cache using 'Smart Booster'
Used 'SDMaid': System Cleaner, App Cleaner, Corpse Finder and Database cleaner
Used 'SystemCleanup' to wipe my Dalvik Cache. Here's the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SystemCleanup.Inteks.org
Restart your device
After I did these steps, my xposed framework installed without an issue
Let me know if this works for you.
If you're talking about the overview/recent apps button, this was released by Chainfire which, I believe, solves your problem.
If the overview button isn't what you're talking about, sorry for misunderstanding
Softkey Z, it costs 2 dollars tho 😔. You can't status bar mod with it, so flat style bar indicators (pro vesrion) would have to be used for those mods
Actually you can do this with the Home Button Launcher App. You can set it up to launch a single app when you swipe up, or to show you an overlay with a list of apps. I just have it launch my music player :)
Not in the next couple of days as I'm quite busy but I should find the time to finish it within the month. I want to do to it right and add some additional options, not just a quick-and-dirty solution.
In the meantime you can put a widget on the homescreen which shows the current state, pretty much all playstore silent mode widgets should work again with my module. Personally I use this.
This is not really what you are asking for but you can create a shortcut of an app on your launcher home and that new shortcut would have app lock.
Shortcut maker app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rk.android.app.shortcutmaker
I use this, and it works for me. Basic integrity fails, but the online check passes, and since the SN documentation says that the online check is more trustworthy, the other just gets ignored by most apps
Still, be sure to first try out snapchat with a temp account, if possible
