you cant
but you can install this to create a "shortcut" in another location of your choice
Here you go, this app lets you link two directories so just link otg dir with folder of your choice on your SD card or internal that emulators can read.
If you're rooted you can set up a symlink and set the mount point to the external storage.
I do this with my Nexus Player. I use a program called Folder Mount.

I'm not using Spotify therefore I can't say for sure but I guess that Spotify has the media target location hardcoded into it's sourcecode. If you are rooted you may Try installing "FolderMount" and linking the Spotify folder to your external memory...
Folder Mount on Google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount
My favorite app on Android: FolderMount [ROOT]
It let you redirect a folder to another folder.
Exemple: In the app you tell /sdcard/DCIM/Camera to move all the current files and the new files in /mnt/extsd/DCIM/Camera
You can tell the application to redirect the folders after every reboot as well.
It really is pretty good. Not the best, it really wants a controller, but I use it mainly on my android tablet (a shitty low end one at that) and it works great. I have also run it on a crappy linux x64 laptop, and it runs great too. Depending on your distro, it is pretty easy to install, It is in the AUR for Arch, and I think there is a ubuntu package somewhere.
The one problem is that the card images are a separate download, copyright etc, and it is pretty big. I use this one. Not the best, it is missing some card images, such as Garruk, Primal Hunter :(, but it does keep it lowish size as 1.36gb.
Also, as my tablet's SD card is the stupid internal one of only 2gb, with no way to change, I also use FolderMount to get /mnt/extsd/wagic mounted to /mnt/sdcard/wagic. I believe it uses mount -o bind, but makes it much easier then dropping to a term.
Try to clear cache or download cleaner apps for Android. If you are still low on storage, you may consider to move the data to external storage. I used to use app called Foldermount when my phone is low on internal storage. If you go this path though, it will requires Root Access however there are many apps that can automate the root.
I also found this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount
it basically mounts a folder from the internal storage unto the sd card without requiring adoptable storage. i had to look for something like this because both Apps2SD and Link2SD are not working on my mobile (Moto g4+ with Nougat rooted)
You still need root, and cannot use it for everything, but at least you can mount the Whatsapp folder (which never wants to use the sd card) unto the sd card already frees a lot of space if you have a lot of comms and media transfers. You can also mount the games obb folder, which take up quite a lot of space for the big ones.
You have up to 3 folder mounts with the free version, more than adequate. Of course you need to watch when changing sd cards as the mounts are made with the specific sd card unique id whicch android creates when you insert it - this changes even if use the same card but reformatted it!
sounds like an OS problem. no need to format the sdcard if it's working properly.
are you willing to root your phone?
if so, you can use folder mount to move folders on your internal sdcard to your external one, and save space that way.
you can't make the entire thing primary storage, but you can use foldermount to link each folder individually. the free version only allows three. I highly recommend you buy the full version. or you can pirate it if you want
No device I've used has ever done that. Moved apps stayed moved. On the other hand, I've met all sorts of quirks, so I'm not surprised.
Did you try using apps such as Foldermount (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount). The free version allows you to transfer up to three apps to SD, while it keeps mirroring its files in the internal memory, so that it fools the system and it keeps running.
This. Usually, there's no need to move apps to sdcard. Just move it's data using FolderMount.
SomeMapApp.apk = 10MB
SomeMapAppWorldData = 512MB
Since your phone is rooted, use folder mount.
You can use that to move its external data to the sdcard. I'm not entirely sure it'll work though
XPERIA Z2 + 64GB SD. Honestly, not doing well at all. Phone is still amazing, aside from the constant "%75 or %95 of internal memory is full" warning. I use an app called FolderMount and it's helping a little, but I still run into the same issue with upgrading apps sometimes. Can't wait for Android 6.0, and if that doesn't fix it, I'll probably have to upgrade the phone only due to this reason.
I have same SD card with 16 gb phone and i store every big game and psp isos on sd card just fine. No significant slowdowns maybe a bit longer loading screens on small games. I use foldermount to move apps to sd card. Its pretty easy and straightforward to use. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount&hl=en
If you are rooted, you can use FolderMount
It seems to be using the old way where the internal storage is partitioned into 2.
It is not easy to repartition in that case.
Easier way is maybe to find a way to root it. Then use something like folder mount to link the original obb folder to the larger partition.
Link to that app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount
Yeah, really annoying. Google seems to rethink that though. Android M gives you the possibility to mount the SD card as part of internal storage, expanding that storage.
Moving manually is kind of the last resort.
I'm now trying a solution that involves Folder Mount, I mount the DCIM folder on ext_sd to /sdcard/DCIM. This seems to work, but it's not perfectly reliable, as Google Camera sometimes prompts me to insert an SD Card (wtf).
I'm hoping for something even more elegant.
If your device is rooted, you can use this this, it works well for me
I'd recommended you to use FolderMount, Root is required.
Use FolderMount
If you're rooted, I use FolderMount to move large game/app files to my ExtSD card.
Good luck!
use foldermount to move the internal folder to the external folder and link them. let me get you a link, hold on.
You don't need an xposed module. Use FolderMount
Ah, ok. Thanks!
Also, another quick question. Would FolderMount do the same function?
Maybe a symlink app would help. Most look like they need root. Like this one
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount
This fixes the problem anyway
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount
I don't exactly know what you're asking but you can try Folder Mount
There's also FolderMount if you're rooted and don't use Xposed. This binds folders you choose on internal to an SD card.
I like to use foldermount. it's really nice and actually works from what I can tell
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount
I have a rooted phone and used FolderMount to fix this problem. Here is the link if you are interested in trying it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount&hl=en
Root + FolderMount = Happy Life :)
