rooted?:check
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.at.free task-manager,click app to tame, uncheck boxes under Receiver,Service,(rare cases: Provider)
By doing this you really switch off autostarts which can happen by many events, but be aware that you might disable needed elements even if you start the app manually when you need it
You can remove the Snap cam, Google Files App etc., without any issues
You can use App like 3C or do it manually via adb

i am no expert but...in my words: Most apps can restart their "services" because they can be triggered by booting the device or changing the volume or switching the device on or a triad of other triggers. With apps like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.at.free you can (per app) uncheck the "triggers" (receivers) or background processes (services) and avoid the automatic behavior. I.e. if you kill an app but the trigger WIFI-changed is on it will "restart" (in the background). use the a.m. app and play around with the check boxes please
if you don't get stunned by the chinese ... it s exactly that. you freeze the app, create a shortcut which would ask "unfreeze or cancel" and after unfreezeing "run or cancel"
Greenify does not really freeze the app IMHO
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.at.free is very powerfull
Be warned: you can cause damage
I'm using 3C Toolbox. You will need to be rooted to be able to use it though. In the "CPU Manager" section I simply underclock the frequency bit by bit until it runs fast enough for my taste.
Confirmed. Android 11 (Oct 2020), Pixel 3.
The Android/data directory does have content. I could see it using the File Explorer tool from 3C All-in-One Toolbox
3c all-in-one toolbox than go the task manager tab or 3c task manager, its basically the same app but this one has just the task manager and no other features
When I had my last few phones rooted I used Titanium, then Helium
I used an app exactly as described called 3c
Completely forgot about that app. Just installed again. Even for non rooted phones it can do some cool stuff and has lots of info.
Edit : this app is awesome on Pie!!!
For a n00b friendly method of checking approx resources, you could use something like the 3C All-in-One Toolbox or just its Task Manager.
can you stop it with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.at.free ? apps/app-manager or tasks then tab services uncheck .... or is the service just the "handler" for something else in your case
If you really want something advanced.
root it
install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.at.free and tame background stuff (service, activities, receiver)
Apps can trigger a reboot, such as 3C Toolbox Pro.
Yes... Ironically you'll need to install an application to move them though....
• Backup apps with 3c Toolbox - Saves data ( logins etc..)
• Backup internal data with Folder sync ...
• then just swap between the larger apps ....
Since nobody said it 3c toolbox is a fantastic app that combines a bunch of root apps into one.
