You know, a lot happened in April '92. I learned that from a sublime song.
Edit: to everyone asking which song
It has also come to my attention that many people born that year are redditors.

Tom Petty is another artist who is famous for legal progress on the behalf of artists in the industry. The article reminds me of "Won't Back Down - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers"
Ex-SM trainee ACE is from Kazakhstan. He is now part of Ninety One who are basically KPop but in the Kazakh language.
There's also that Russian girl that was part in a super nugu group last year.
u/ascendingstorm this is fucking rad. I checked out your art station and your website per another commenter. Your art is just... awesome and really thought provoking. This is coming from someone who doesn't really like surrealist art. Love your expression, man.
P.s. I even checked out Sunnata's Zorya album because of your album cover work for them and now I'm hooked on that too.

As a drug geek, this, and PCP lore in general, was/were absolutely the most perplexing piece of ridiculous drug mythology I've ever had to wade my way through. One of my favorite rap groups Leak Bros' entire aesthetic was based on embalming fluid metaphors.
That it's ultimately just another dissociative anesthetic like Ketamine or DXM but has a public image even more frightening than meth is testament to the power and influence of anti-drug propaganda.
The "Me too" movement might be the best example in recent times. I think some comedians were talking shit about Hollywood's problems as far back as you can reach. Beyond comedians, other artists were bringing it out. "King of Hollywood" by the Eagles. Give that a quick listen. That was released in 1979.
Edit: king of hollywood not hollywood king

I believe Purple Reign is Future's best tape/album and this is one of the best tracks on it.
Would like to nominate Starlito for next.
I encounter this obstruction every day. Starting to despise it. Starting to get angrier. Starting to really need to force out the grace in my delivery. I think everyday woke-people just need to be louder, more intense, and rigidly objective. Always have a reason. Compromise your social status. Make people aware of the gold buried in the blue.
But limited to early access in the U.S., Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea for now. You can sign up here and YouTube will notify you when it's available in your country.
Also, the promo video for YouTube Music includes what looks like a short teaser for Cardi's I Like It video that's supposed to drop later this month: https://youtu.be/HCLehj1B38M?t=21
So, I run into this too (btw I'm perhaps the biggest Radiohead fan on the planet so I know what you're saying)...
I use both GPM and YTM. YTM is great for:
It's gotten a lot better, but it has a mountain to climb. They're going to merge the two services but for now just use both. YTM will always have stuff the other services will NEVER have, and that's the only way it's going to be successful.
BTW, here's a great example of what I'm talking about, enjoy!. This is available on YTM.
Me and two of my friends were so stoned sitting in my car out front of friend a's house, listening to the radio, and we're just having some random, mild conversation. When all of a sudden Tobacco's Overheater comes on out of no where and it just slams! Me and friend b, who is in the passenger seat, just look at each other with our jaws very literally dropped like "what the shit is even happening to these speakers right now?!" That's about the time I got into synthesis and got myself a shitty korg R3 to start learning. End story

It won't blow you away with lyrical complexity or anything but it's super danceable and super fresh IMO. I really enjoy Bruno Mars' funk stuff, which is a shame because he makes so little of it and focuses on the bigger selling and rather boring pop stuff. I'd probably do the same if I were him though.
Someone explain this to me please.
I understand that Youtube Music is a separate service from Google Play Music, but I'm not entirely sure how. It sounds like they do the same thing.
Doing a Google search for "Youtube Music" gets me Youtube channels with the word "music" in them, and then the fourth result down is music.youtube.com which just says "coming soon." How do I even try it?
This feels like Balmer era Microsoft making teams fight each other with similar competing products instead of just working together on one good one.
youtube premium (previously youtube red) and youtube music are different apps. Youtube music is still rather new to the platform though. But they were trying to find more ways to monetize those that use youtube for streaming music. Now they can place more ads on those videos.
Thanks for reminding me to check the music side!
Answer album playlist is available there.
I been listening to this version as I too am addicted to this song. It's just exceptionally haunting for lack of words.

Any boss fight track from Cuphead. Complete with one of the starting little phrases and everything. This is probably my go to though.
What's the song title? It's really good
Edit: I did my best to find it, no luck. I googled the Tetris Effect OST. None of those songs are the song in this trailer. Can anyone identify the title and artist?
Edit 2: All answers have been wrong. I'll update this if I find out.
Edit 3: The song is "Always Been But Never Dreamed": https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=QeZne1wVyl0&feature=share

Also digging all my music. Such as wolfheart YouTube music really opened up a lot of music for me.

I dunno man, maybe check out The Knife?
They have a few songs that remind me a little of the side projects. In particular I Just Had To Die and A Lung.
Kinda has that haunting vibe to it yanno?
Be more alpha. Duh
Edit. I will have mercy on you tho.

At first I was like wtf is this. I could not hear the song well over the music video and the video is interesting. I found the song by itself on YouTube Music https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=ID0awWar6og&list=RDAMVMID0awWar6og. And after hearing to it several times I like it, it is a nice different sound from what we normally hear from TAA.... yes it is not heavy or anything but IVY was dark and heavy getting a song or two out there which sound lighter is a good thing to spice things up.
After hearing this song I am convinced this will be a very good album because it shows TAA are not afraid to spice up their formula and take risks

First time posting anything, but I decided this might be a good way to start.
This is a local band from Erie PA that I've seen a few times at some bars/festivals. They only have an EP out, but they have a long set of originals they play. I really enjoy seeing this band because they have a traditional rock feel and get people dancing. My personal favorite song on the album is Pretend That You Love Me.
OK, first of all this has absolutely nothing to do with McCartney getting rights back. It's got everything to do, however, with the launch of YouTube Music back in May.
YT has struck deals with a lot of major labels which has granted the rights to stream this material. It's also meant that we get official versions of the songs, as opposed to fan uploads. My guess is that they'll stay up as long as the agreements with the labels are in place (music rights do change hands, and some stuff does get pulled now and then, but that doesn't happen too often – it's the same on Spotify and other services).
A lot of other artists have had their back catalogues added. Compare these two songs, and look at the descriptions and the way the artwork is presented – they're from different labels, but follow precisely the same template, and end with "Auto-generated by YouTube":
The Beatles – It Won't Be Long
> Provided to YouTube by Universal Music Group
> ℗ ℗ 2009 Calderstone Productions Limited (a division of Universal Music Group)
> Auto-generated by YouTube.
> Provided to YouTube by Warner Music Group
> ℗ 1975, 2016 Jones/Tintoretto Entertainment Co., LLC under exclusive license to Parlophone Records Ltd, a Warner Music Group Company
> Auto-generated by YouTube.
Because they're auto-generated, they're mapped to the official accounts (The Beatles/David Bowie) without those artists having to upload anything. If you go to artists' official pages and look under Playlists, you can see whether any full albums have been uploaded yet.
Potential like being able to add music from youtube to your GPM playlists. Stuff like remixes and covers, or some obscure anime songs that's too niche for platforms like GPM or Spotify to reach out and license.
GPM had always allowed me to manually search for and play the song through its' Youtube red connection, however, it would not allow that music to be added to a playlist. Youtube Music allows for that now.
So a specific example is Otis Redding's famous "Sittin on the Dock of the Bay" which was covered by Sara Bareilles. That song is was performed twice in concerts and those are the 2 versions that are licensed and available on both Spotify and GPM. Unfortunately, the best version of this song was her acoustic cover version (Guitar only, no piano) which is available only on Youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cQwAVK7G78
In fact, it looks like this guitar version isn't even on Sara Bareilles' channel anymore for some reason. I can only find it through this one odd unrelated uploader.
Another example is "Poolside Identity" a mashup of an anime ED song called "Inside Identity" and "Swimming Pools" by Kendrick Lamar, it's got about 5.3M views, making it fairly popular compared to some local/regional songs, but it's not licensable anywhere so Youtube's pretty much the only place to listen to it.
https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=Zj-M9pvQSyo&feature=share
So yeah, Youtube Music does present potential. Of course they could have accomplished this rebranding exercise through the existing GPM name, and their software/UI still needs some work, but the potential exists.
At this point, it's hardly being rolled out to Americans either.
This is from the YouTube Blog announcement post a few weeks ago:
>Starting Tuesday (May 22nd), we're rolling out early access to the new YouTube Music experience in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and South Korea*. It will expand more broadly in the coming weeks. We’ll also soon be launching in Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. If you want to know when the new YouTube Music is available in your country, head to music.youtube.com/coming-soon and let us know you’re interested.
The most I can answer is I signed up for https://music.youtube.com/coming-soon/ on about Friday, and it seems like mine was enabled with CONFIDENTIAL status on Monday. That confidential status went away to EARLY ACCESS this morning.
There was no email, no update, I just happened to open the app and noticed mine was different.
Google Play Music is going to continue until 2019. From what I can gather, it's eventually going to be phased out in favor of YouTube Music.
You're gonna wanna watch the YouTube Music website today.
That’s great.
There are a few detractors, but Dweezil put together some great musicians. I saw this last week. It took a bit for me to relax into it, but it’s an amazing group of players.
Shit quality. I originally first heard it on the Passengers single I bought and fell in love, still have it somewhere if you want a better version (I still have the original MP3 I ripped from the CD from 1999 in glorious 92kbps).
Does the song Santa Baby creep any one else out? Or is it just me?
It's so close to December! I cant wait to give the girls their advent calendar.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thursday. 💚 My inbox is open if anyone needs a friend to talk to.

Note that if you switch you need to separately cancel the GPM subscription. Honestly, if you don't want to upgrade to YTP there is no benefit to switching right now.
I discovered this radio on Google Music today called Rose-Colored Rhythm that's fucking amazing.

I mean xxxtentacion was like some type of real life anime character, and it seems like a lot of the younger parts of the hip hop community love anime. I'm a few years too old for that, but I love everything about Samurai Champloo and it's association with hip hop. Joey Badass's freestyle over Feather by Nujabes feat. Can relate to getting stuck on Hot Fuss. I used to slow down my turntable and play Everything Will Be Alright over and over.
Lately I've been on a Kendrick kick. Especially diggin Vice City with Black Hippy amd Jay Rock.
It shows up as a section on the home page but it's not a page you can visit AFAIK. They seem to keep their New Music This Week playlist updated but that's more pop singles than general releases. Also, I'd prefer a "Release Radar" type auto-playlist like Spotify's that lists new releases from your followed/subscribed artists.
Very cool, thank you for this! Pro tip for YouTube Music users: If you replace 'www' in the address with 'music' you will see the YouTube Music version of the playlist. For example, here is this month's playlist:

I dunno if this relates in particular to being incel. But I've found that it describes my life pretty well and also I like Ministry, so yeah.

I think you're confusing albums with regular videos. Using audio-only just turns off the video half of the YouTube video. If you want to listen to just the song, search for the song rather than the video.
Example:
Bang Bang video with long-ass intro
In search results, look under Songs instead of Videos. Another quick way to tell is if the playback window has square album art or a 16x9 video thumbnail.
Anything by 2cello, they're some of the world's best cello players who do modern songs.
With or without you is one of my favorites, but I also suggest [game of thrones melody)[https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=DcFpvolRN3w&feature=share] orhighway to hell with Steve Vai if that's more your speed.

Дыхание means breath and the lyrics are basically the guy saying he woke up in the middle of the night and realized that the world has flooded and him and his wife/girlfriend/SO are the only ones left and he wants to "unlearn" to breathe so that his wife/girlfriend/SO may stay alive longer.
You like the shorter Tyler? He had a TV show I thought was kinda dumb but I like this song a lot. See You Again [Explicit] https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=EZE62LpaqHg I don’t really know about Tyler1 but props to him with that name lol.
Disclaimer: I've only used it for a couple of hours (downloaded it and played around when I heard GPM was sunsetting).
I personally had no issues finding specific albums/artists, artists still have pages with their official discography. Searching specific songs also doesn't seem to be an issue so far, the top results look to all be relevant/official.
I had to specifically add to my search to get covers
As for the YouTube connection, from my limited experience videos are better integrated into the app. You have the option to play music videos within the player instead of the sort of detached way it's done in GPM, though I mostly stuck with the sound only.
I also saw a few of my youtube playlists in my library so your youtube library is connected to some extent.
Anyways, sorry for the essay, hope this could answer some of your questions. I recommend taking a look at the app or site for yourself to get a feel. Assuming they implement the rest of the features missing from GPM and migrate my library I'm fine with the swap. I would be real unhappy though if I lose my uploads/playlists/saved music!

My, my cold hearted child, tell me how you feel Just a blade in the grass, spoke unto the wheel My, my cold hearted child, tell me where it's all gone All the luster of your bones, those arms that held you strong
I been worryin' that my time is a little unclear I been worryin' that I'm losing the one's I hold dear I been worryin' that we all live our lives in the confines of fear
My, my cold hearted child, tell me how you feel Just a grain in the morning air, dark shadow on the hill My, my cold hearted child, tell me where it all falls All this apathy you feel will make a fool of us all
I been worryin' that my time is a little unclear I been worryin' that I'm losing the one's I hold dear I been worryin' that we all live our lives in the confines of fear
Oh I will become what I deserve Oh I will become what I deserve Oh I will become what I deserve Oh I will become what I deserve
I've been worryin', I've been worryin' (I will become what I deserve) I've been worryin' my time is a little unclear (I will become what I deserve)
I've been worryin', I've been worryin' That my time here's a little unclear I've been worryin', I've been worryin' That I'm losing the ones I hold dear I've been worryin', I've been worryin' That we all, live our lives, in the confines of fear

There exists a No Man's Sky soundtrack. It is called No Man's Sky: Music For An Infinite Universe by 65 days of static. You might find your track there. You can also try searching for it on music.youtube.com or spotify and listen to it there.

Oh, I forgot to tell you about the official song uploads made by YouTube, which can be found on their respective artist channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/missA/videos?shelf_id=0&view=0&sort=dd
Note that they do this with many other artists. However, the channels are often mixed with other artists of the same name, so you will need to scavenge through them for the right songs and playlists of their albums. Thankfully, I found out just a while ago that most of these issues are fixed on their YouTube Music service: https://music.youtube.com/channel/UCh3JvEbg-3dwJ0Ou2gXj0vQ

> The long dark
I already own the game but have not had an opportunity to spend time with it yet. I'm seriously considering buying Music for The Long Dark -- Volume One though. The composers peeked my interest
> Original score for The Long Dark. Music for The Long Dark - Volume One, features 100 minutes of music composed by Cris Velasco (Mass Effect, God of War, Overwatch, Resident Evil 7, etc.) and Sascha Dikiciyan (Borderlands, Quake III, Mass Effect).
For anyone interested it's possible to check it out here
Search issues are common right now, but the more they're reported to YouTube via the Send feedback button, hopefully the better it'll get! But yeah, being able to slip YouTube remixes and mashups in with traditional albums has been awesome. I'm kinda hooked on TronicBox's 80's Into You Remix...
Personally I wouldn't give a shit, but some people would probably be uncomfortable with some Ween songs like Waving my dick in the wind and Poop ship destroyer
There’s lyrics from a Brother Ali tune that always ring in my head during times suicide comes back around (many in the last 5 years of family and friends)
“Granddad was in the twilight of his life When he closed his eyes tight and opened his wrists wide What make a tenth round fighter with the winning score Decide he need to throw the towel before the whistle blow Maybe I'll never know But I inherited his poetic soul so the symbolism's yet to show Was life so obscene that death's more serene? Or was an old author tryin' to write his own closing scene?” Rain Water-Brother Ali https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=wVHmEjy-lxA
I use this to demo to friends and family who don't have experience with lots of bass, it also makes the world seem to bounce a little

You need to download the YouTube Music app. I still have both GPM and YouTube Music.
Try signing up for https://music.youtube.com/coming-soon/ and waiting, I signed up for that last week.
The mobile app may or may not be updated depending on if your account is allowed early access. "YouTube Music" has been around for a while as an app. If you can go to music.youtube.com, you're part of early access. Should be a "early access confidential" warning in the corner.
I though this was a request for suggestions before I realized you'd put something together. Well done! If I may offer this other YouTube track as well (not mine, but just what I routinely fall asleep to).
Bruh if you like the Chainsmokers for their remix work, check out Timeflies. They like taking the hook from pop songs, remixing the entire song, and adding their own verses. It's been a while since I've checked, but they used to drop a new one every Tuesday on YouTube. Glad You Came (https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=WsstuO-gueI) is really fun, and their new stuff (almost all originals now) is pretty good too. NSFW (https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=PHZgLUACA9o) (link not actually NSFW, that's just the name of the track) is really fun in an old 3Oh!3 kinda way.
If you need awesome Christmas music in big mixes, head on over to see DJ Riko.

hahaha shit i tried those songs out i cant really get into them but i appreciate the suggestion. the vocals are too distracting for me but i can appreciate the instrumentals for sure. i know mayhem is basic as hell but some of their instrumental shit is brutal especially bumping that shit full volume i can get down. the whole scene is crazy interesting though i got into reading about it at one point wild shit.
if u hate hip-hop/rap i get it but if u are feeling adventurous here are some slaps u might fuck with. stressin my point has some metal shit at the end its sick. dim da lights is some classic 90s memphis shit.
I too love "The Quality of Mercy" and the entire Leftovers soundtrack. It has taken over my listening life these past few months since I started watching the show. In exploring Max Richter's music I found this mix of "On the nature of daylight" and "This Bitter Earth" by Dinah Washington. It moves me like nothing else I have ever heard: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=jXHGoaEtmFM&feature=share
Honestly i wouldn't be so eager to dish out 300 if i wasn't so excited for the menu music. The more I look back on it, the more i realize how in love i am with the wii's fresh & coherent mellotron latin jazz/nu-bossa vibe. Flipping through the 3ds' main menu is a cascade of good ass sound design & the first party pack-ins (esp. swapnote and mii plaza) have some really nice music too. I think one of my favorite system UI songs is the 3ds internet settings bgm. it's a really nice swingy, minimalistic house type of tune that loops really well. another thing i'd like to point out is how the streetpass mii plaza theme changes in intensity as you get more mii's, w/ 7 tracks in total. 1 7. nintendo sound team is good as hell
Also, thanks for the Hammock rec. I have an artist you and /u/astrokey might like (assuming I haven't already mentioned him).
Asgeir is an Icelandic artist with some low key stuff. He uses his falsetto to great effect.
I'm reminded of Richard Hawley for some reason, who I haven't thought of in forever. Shoegaze artist with a deep, rich crooner voice. My favorite is Open Up Your Door
Call me crazy then! I just don't like that chip tune.
Here's a good chip tune from that era.

Yea I feel the sweeper is better for most games BC of its huge range it can be cast from and the Oracle lens is better vs stealth.
I recorded it using nvidia shadowbox or whatever it's called, I am at work so I can't check exactly for you, sorry.
And the 1st song is flower dance by DJ okawari. Here's a link all his work is amazing. https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=AULG4MoYxQk&feature=share
This is a song that was mentioned here a little while ago. It sounds really great with good headphones. Makes good use of sound stage.
My biggest hobby is a form of flow art called gloving, which is basically dancing with hands. Sometimes I'm on public transportation, headphones in, really gettin it ya know, and I'll glance up to see more than a few confused and alarmed stares. Link is me doing that gloving thing.
My friend's band CRYPTIC has one called"THE MARCH" and it's similar to what metallica does with the ectasy of gold

This dude's obviously not a fan of 3rd wave ska but this is pretty much it.
There was also a little resurgence of the original jazz influence with groups like the New York Ska Jazz Ensemble.
Fuck you, Lucy for leaving me. Fuck you, Lucy for not needing me, i wanna say fuck you 'cause i still love you. No, I'm not okay and i don't known what to do

So random to see this on here. I was listening to his latest EP on repeat for a couple of weeks recently.

For perspective, he writes and records all of it including singing and screaming and of course all of the solos (although I think his wife? now does all of the bass). Pretty impressive. I can see some real potential if he refines his sound from this more mature/serious EP.
Might as well add the Apple Music and Youtube Music links for those who need it :)
Love this one - Birdy, Tee Shirt https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=fTASJroi1Gc&feature=share
Perfect for when I'm pissy- Ani Difranco, Untouchable Face https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=kmSHwCGI9-w&feature=share
A happier song - St. Asonia, Waste My Time https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=qUyQOmU3D_k&feature=share
You know he has an album out?
Songs About My Wife: https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nbyiNujykKx7vq6wzDVP1n4fBtzu_qbug
One of his songs has an ending monologue about stealing his grandmas heart. Its nuts.
Agreed, my neurotypical nephew was all about vacuums to the point his parents were worried, kids just latch on to stuff.
That said, maybe you will like this song, it samples a civil defense siren.
Were looking at the real deal now (woooOOO) and he just kicked their sorry asses out on the street. They used to think they owned this street, but now their ass is dead meat. Victory is sweet, here's your receipt
I’ll echo all that, but really I fell in love with the soundtrack before the game even came out and didn’t realize it.
Remember the reveal event, and the Zavala backstory trailer? What We Fight For kicks in during the clip of the Battle of Six Fronts, when we see Zavala throw down (and Shaxx haymaker some hapless Captain) and damned if that track hasn’t stuck with me ever since.
