Edit: btw I love snooping on their makeup products to see if there's anything I recognize. And the pomade brand that they use is hilarious, it's called 'COCK GREASE XXHARD' and it's pineapple-scented.

It isn't the best or the most hyped, but by far my favorite live performance is Born Singer stage from BTS Begins concert. It was very emotional, and you can tell that the members felt each and every word they sang. I also love their stage: going from facing each other to facing ARMYs, and with the words and images playing on screen in the background.

If I had to choose one and only one performance to see at a BTS concert, this would be it. (Unfortunately, the chances of that are zero.) I actually re-watched this after their MAMA daesang, and it really killed me.

Ahh.. the one where Namjoon tells Jimin the difference between the peck and a kiss is where the tongue is 😂😊They were loopy with lack of sleep in that “Run” Show Champion backstage video which also has a lot of other gems. It’s one of my favorites of BTS just being themselves. Also where Suga talks about how his hair is fried and if he gets bald he will sue Bighit, where Jimin says the next MV after Run should be sleep and yeh concept is just sleeping. Yeah, that was right before the S&F Music Festival. The crazy 25h shoot was for the BTS!Countdown (that was recorded on September 23rd-24th and aired October 12th). ~~This one had the "DNA" of each member and the old songs.~~

But I think the thing announced here is more comparable to the other Mnet show a bit earlier, the Comeback Show they did before any other music show appearances (on September 21st). It was live with some pre-recorded bits, and the first time we saw the live stages for DNA, Mic Drop and Go Go! I'd imagine this to be a similar case.

Okay, I'm gonna get a little ranty here, but:

First of all, this is a clip from an episode of the 4 Things Show. It featured RM and is a documentary of sorts about his career as an idol rapper. If you haven't seen it, please check out the whole thing, because for the most part it's fantastic (e.g. they interview old BigHit trainees who started out with RM but dropped out, some of the other BTS members are interviewed, RM shares a lot of his inner struggles with the idol rapper image).

For some reason, this part really ticked me off, probably because it takes the show in an entirely different direction. A lot of fans reference this clip as evidence that RM is genuinely committed to BTS - and while I agree with that sentiment wholeheartedly (he's dedicated 7+ years to this c'mon) - I thought this whole setup was manipulative and totally unnecessary. He's cornered in this tiny ass room with his boss and the 2 other members who've been there the longest, and he's being scolded and asked to go solo or stick with BTS. What else was he supposed to say?

I obviously don't think this prank was done with ill intent; you can clearly see that Bang PD and the group members adore him and felt bad about pranking him. I'm just super disappointed they went in this direction when up until that point the show was already doing a wonderful job showing (in a more nuanced way) just how dedicated RM is to the group.

Anyway, sorry for the ranting. Please watch the whole episode, friends! You won't regret it.

i mean i'm not surprised that there are people reusing sheet masks but they're def not recommended due to hygiene reasons. if there are a lot of essence left in the packaging, people usually use the remaining to apply all over their body or use sheet mask tablets

Wow, what timing. I'm definitely not fine right now either. The past few weeks have been exceptionally challenging for me, too. ��

Actually...I hadn't made this connection before, but I've just been reminded of an anti-depressive/anxious spiral technique I use pretty often called somatic resourcing. Basically, even when we feel our worst, there is usually something present that does feel "fine", or neutral, or safe. Sometimes this can be a physical sensation; sometimes it can be part of your environment.

Some examples: if my stomach is clenched in fear, shifting my attention to a part of my body that feels okay, that isn't experiencing the same tightness or expressing the same emotional reactivity, and focusing on it for a bit. (Usually my legs and feet, or the physical sensation of the weight of my body on any surface.) Or focusing on an object or location in my environment that feels stable. (My desk, light shining on a surface, the sound of the AC.)

The effectiveness of this technique has kind of made me realize that it's...true, I guess? That our minds, which tend to send out pretty intense this-isn't-fine signals, are not to be fully trusted or believed when they are doing so. This is an exceptionally difficult thing to remember when one is in the throes of a bad emotional spell, but it's so so so true.

NGL I find it hard to connect with this quote sometimes but I still love it—“As long as you are breathing, there is more right with you than there is wrong, no matter how ill or how hopeless you may feel.” (x) I hope this can resonate with you even a little bit, OP.

If you have read it, I highly recommend seeing it on Broadway while it is running, Olivia Wilde is a gem here! Dude, RM's book recs have aligned so nicely with my own reading list, it's absurd. Like, I looove Camus, Murakami, Nietzsche, Hesse, and I read the Noonday Demon last year so seeing it pop up in his recs was like, very exciting.

If you like Murakami, you may like Kobo Abe - kind of a weird mix of Murakami & Kafka - but I prefer Murakami personally. Since you mentioned medical books and you like philosophy, I definitely recommend "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi. It's short, powerful, and beautifully written and just... among my favorites.

Along the lines of weird surrealistic stuff, might I recommend The Master and Margarita by Bulgakov? Because that's a lovely, funny book. And House of Leaves by Mark Z Danielewski because lol, I love it (I think it's a very polarizing book: some people love it, some people despise it).

I read 1Q84 and wasn't that into it. I adore Murakami but that book was in need of serious editing lol. I think the Wind-Up Chronicles and Hard-Boiled Wonderland are two of my favorites next to Kafka on the Shore!

My take on the significance of this is that mainstream music listeners like songs that are familiar to them. There's a famous anecdote in The Power of Habit wherein the author talks about how famous Outkast song "Hey Ya" failed to break into the market initially because it sounded too different than everything else. The reason the chainsmokers have all these hits despite their songs all sounding the same is precisely because their melodies and hooks are similar. If mainstream America hears the lyrics and sounds of BTS repeatedly, when it plays on the radio they won't turn the dial because the songs sound familiar.

I bought some inexpensive concert earplugs off of amazon. I don’t go to concerts much, so I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on something I’d only use a couple of times. The ones I bought worked great! The music and their voices were crystal clear, but it’s like the volume of the crowd was turned down. I could still hear the fanchants perfectly fine, and I had no problem talking with my sister next to me. I lost my voice singing and screaming, but at least I saved my hearing!

People keep saying this but I can't find the option to add a song in Android or PC? How hard is it for folks to share a vid on how it can be done if it's really that easy?

I think it's real and a remix because only the IDOL page is down and the Idol featuring Nicki page isn't. You can go the web browser and type in a few numbers before and after (29 - 53, 31 is the IDOL page that's down) and they point to BTS songs.

Just look for Jimin's. As for actual footage, I don't know where you'd find footage for Jimin and most of the ones mentioned in their group of friends, but there are some for Taemin and Jimin (and definitely for their dance collab for the 2016 KBS Gayo music festival), and I think there's only 1 or 2 for Kai and Jimin. You can go to YouTube and search "Taemin and Jimin" and "Kai and Jimin".

I'm not sure, I think Vixx's Ravi is also part of Taemin's friend circle, but don't know if Jimin is friends with Ravi through Taemin, as Ravi's (a.k.a. Won-Sik) name wasn't mentioned in the Thank You note. I do remember seeing a clip, though, from one fancam that caught Jimin talking with Taemin, and then just a glimpse of Ravi walking up to them....whether Jimin has become actual friends with Ravi through his friendship with Taemin or just an acquaintance....your guess is as good as mine.

I wish it was mentioned previously but i used NordVPN (chrome extension if it matters) connected to the SK servers and got in fairly quickly this morning (ticketing opened @ 7am for me, got in and purchased in about 15-30 min or so?). Imo, when I saw them live, It'd be RM and J-Hope who have the best stage presence by miles (Jimin and Suga would be next for me). RM has already been linked for why elsewhere.

For J-Hope, I'm not even sure what to link because this is just based on when I saw them live...neither J-Hope nor RM are my baises but I couldn't stop looking at them because of how the absolutely dominate the stage. This is pretty legendary, and here's a full performance of the same song (but not the same venue haha). He always looks so into the performance or like he's having such a blast being on stage. It's a bit more controlled than RM, though lol

My friend and I are going to be staying at the Sheraton, which I think is within 5 minutes walking distance of the venue. Last time I checked, most if not all of the hotels around the venue are completely booked for the weekend, even on hotels.com and expedia. I imagine the closest hotels to the concert are going to be overrun with army just like at the WINGS stops, which means it's going to be either super fun or super crowded (maybe both)!

I have that realization a lot, actually. For most of the reasons that others have commented. It's possible that you didn't order it from the official BTS Amazon seller? because there are plenty of other unofficial sellers that look official... and they will probably have to wait for the albums to get to them first and then ship them out. That would also explain why you were't able to select prime shipping :/

For public transport ("OV" for short in Dutch - "openbaar vervoer"), download the app 9292 btw. It's the best app to find times for bus/metro/train/tram. You can set the app to English in the settings.

If you use public transportation to go to see amsterdam/anywhere besides going to the concert, consider getting an "ov chipkaart". If you've been to London, it's like the Oyster card. You "check in" (the machine will take money from your card) at the beginning of your trip and when you've arrived at the destination, you "check out" (if you the trip costs less than what the machine has initially taken from you, it'll restore you the difference). You can buy such a card directly at Schiphol (the airport) in the train station area (go to the information/ticket people). You'll need to put money on it at one of the machines (you might also be able to buy it with money it - I'm not sure). That should be pretty straightforward. You'll need a minimum of 20 euros on it to take the train and 4 euros on it to take the bus/tram/metro.

Also, the netherlands is big on debit cards, I'm genuinely unsure if you can pay with anything else than that at the train/tram/etc ticket machines.

I like it for a number of reasons. Being able to view videos and images on reddit instead of opening a new window. Tagging things to find them easily, never-ending pages so you don't have to click to another page, etc.

I think there are some iPhone ringtone making apps but I haven't really bothered with them. I tried one a while back and it was only just O.K.

What I do is make my own ringtones directly on my iPhone using the garage band app. It takes a few minutes to make each ringtone but, I think it is pretty simple and worth it.

Basically, I add songs onto my iTunes or download audio clips or audio from youtube videos & then into iTunes. Then sync my phone. Then you just open garage band and create a new "Song" You can follow these easy steps you can trim the audio so it's only the part of the music or sound clip that you want (I made one of Jimin's "Excuse me!") and then you can easily save and use the new clip as a ringtone (can be used for notifications too)

It can take a little while to make but, if you have all you need on your phone, you can always make them at your own pace when you have time.
