right now everything else coming to mind isn’t actually from the UK, but ill be damned if this album doesnt sound like it came out of some dark magical british forest, carried by elves:

The very same Robert Crumb, he's a big collector of rare shellac records of pre-WWII music.
This article goes a bit into a nice comic he did called Robert Crumb's, Heroes of Blues Jazz and Country (highly rec'd). The mix he did for that book plus some more of his are floating around YT.
Public Nuisance was, until the early 2000s, unknown to all but the most fervent 1960s garage rock fanatics, mostly for the very good reason that they never released a record. The Sacramento outfit did play quite a bit live in California in the last half of the 1960s, and did a lot of unreleased recordings in 1968 and 1969 that never saw the light of day. This condition was remedied in 2002, when an astounding full, double-CD of tracks was issued, Gotta Survive, mostly taken from those unissued late-'60s sessions. http://www.allmusic.com/artist/public-nuisance-mn0000307045
It's pretty extraordinary for a band who never even released a record to have a two-CD package prepared in their honor more than 30 years after they disbanded. That's what you get with this double-disc set, largely devoted to unreleased recordings by Public Nuisance from late 1968 and early 1969 http://www.allmusic.com/album/gotta-survive-mw0001893156
Yuri Frusin, Helen Johnstone, Torben Tilly
Meeting in their teens in Wellington, New Zealand, Yuri Frusin and Helen Johnstone started the Garbage & the Flowers in the late '80s. Taking their name from a Leonard Cohen lyric, Frusin played guitar and wrote most of the songs and Johnstone played viola and sang.
The group's lineup and general status of existence would be nebulous for the rest of its duration, but originally Frusin and Johnstone were joined by drummer Torben Tilly, and as the years went on they'd go through phases of hiatus and resurgence, working with musicians including Paul Yates, Heath Cozens, Rachel Davies, Kristen Wineera, and Stuart Porter. The group's initial sound was closest to early Velvet Underground, with Johnstone's frenzied viola recalling John Cale's avant-garde freakouts.
The Garbage & the Flowers played sporadically and released only a few compilation tracks and 7" singles in their earliest days. In 1997 they relocated to Sydney, Australia and continued to play out in a stop-start fashion. The double LP Eyes Rind as if Beggars, which collected their ramshackle home recordings and various live tracks into as cohesive a discography-like form as possible, arrived in 1997. The group continued into the 2000s and 2010s, gaining more supporters as more music fans dug into the history of both New Zealand's underground sounds and outsider music in general.
Several cassette releases came about in the late 2000s, and 2011 saw the release of the Stoned Rehearsal LP, followed in 2013 by an expanded re-release of Eyes Rind as if Beggars. The band continued to play sporadically and record in the years that followed. In 2016, Grapefruit released The Deep Niche, a collection of songs predating Eyes Rind as if Beggars.

Good luck. It’s a bit hard cause there are lots of bands with very similar names. Got a lot of articles on people committing suicide from jumping of bridges when looking them up.
But here is there rateyourmusic page. Not much info at all but good for if you want to look up their discography, which is mostly just singles. And a comp I def need to look up.
https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/the_bridge_f7
Oh and their vinyls seem to be incredibly cheap so that’s great news.
I coulda sworn Oppenheimer Analysis had more than 50k listeners on last.fm but they’re only at 39k!
Anyways, I always found it interesting that on this EP they used a picture of a Washington DC metro station. Like why would a German band know of it.
So that is a really tall order. Do you want lesser known stuff that would be on this sub?
or classics that have stood the test of time?
Very cool, thank you for this! Pro tip for YouTube Music users: If you replace 'www' in the address with 'music' you will see the YouTube Music version of the playlist. For example, here is this month's playlist:

Originally released under the name Ann Steel.
This video is from another song off the album, and it's the absolute best.
Idk I’ve found some great stuff going through peoples lists on rym. Actually found my last two posts from a comp I found on rym (Garden Party. And more to come since I found a couple super cool lists I’m working my way through right now.
Take some time to dig through some stuff there on a slow day, never know what you might find!
Cheers dude. Yeah, RYM is invaluable also. Discogs is just a click away from discovering new artists browsing through compilations and using their search facility with genre, year, country etc. y’know – damnable stints of trial and error : )
BTW diggin' your latest post I've noticed you've been getting back into your indie lately - excellent stuff.
Haha yeah. The reviews often mention the lo-fi recording but I tend to agree with the legendary reviewer on RYM ‘tymeshifter’ (who seemingly has listened to every obscure psych album in existence – and claims that this particular album is one of his favourites in the genre) that it all adds to the garage aesthetic.
I agree it’s a great blog. The truth is I just chanced upon it. My usual sources are the commonplace, garden-variety (though incredibly useful and expansive) Wikipedia, Allmusic http://www.allmusic.com/ and Rateyourmusic sites http://rateyourmusic.com/
In the infrequent times that no information can be found on those sites I tend to defer to the most comprehensive and reliable source found after a cursory web-search. And depending on what musical genre (almost all) you invariably find some specialist music aficionados’ incredibly informative and detailed blog like the radiodiffusion one.
Though perhaps it would make a good question to the rest of the subscribers on this sub who are prepared to divulge their sources ; ) I’d certainly be interested to know : )
Apparently he participated in this album to whatever extent he could (from his wheelchair), and had his final stroke the day before the last session.
So while this track by this artist is not super obscure, this version was really tough to find (had to upload it myself).
>Putting together our 2nd tribute show
Funny to hear you say that, I was trying to figure out this morning what I was gonna do for my radio show early next week... easy decision now
I've been cruising through a compilation of his early hits this afternoon, some great stuff that's hard to find outside of the real LPs there
I don't know if you're aware, but this version (not the Walter Gibbons edit) was featured on the massive "The Best Of Disco Demands" compliation from 2011. It's not the original but instead the Al Kent edit (same as in the video), but I'm not even sure I've ever heard the untouched original.
It's quite easy to find online as well, although I would love the single on wax too. Banging track anyways.
Yeh it's a killer, it's like 2000 euroes on discogs or something crazy like that! Really hard to find...
I'm a fan of his earlier stuff over the later... if you liked that check out https://www.discogs.com/Shadow-Wake-Up/release/3550856
I found this record via a submission here, so it's not extremely obscure by VO standards but it's possibly the most out-there thing that I have in my collection.
This is my favourite track.
Ok, so I got the right song, but it wasn't this band's version of it. It was Jack Wilkins' cover version apparently:
http://www.whosampled.com/sample/5300/A-Tribe-Called-Quest-Sucka-Nigga-Jack-Wilkins-Red-Clay/
Whilst looking for this I found out the original version is by Freddie Hubbard. Classic CTI shit:
Sadly, just a live EP with 6 songs (cover says 4 though).

Here’s a playlist I found with a couple of em https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwv6Tyuu4ahgmsBmnixMDgkmIbFaWUNjh
I've been really enjoying checking out your posts over the years. Amazingly global all-round approach, but also the occasional Oldschool Rap nugget :) Keep up the good digging!
I have a feeling you might like this records list, although you prob know it already.
dude reminds me of another "whitewashed" funk record I have.
Garry Mac & The Mac Truque - All Truqued Up
it's basically a live James Brown tribute concert on vinyl, but lord the drum breaks on Cold Sweat....just nasty.
So did a little digging, and Wendy Flower went off to join a group called Crystal Fountain after this, all I can see is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U-YFYleY2A though.
EDIT: Also https://www.discogs.com/Wendy-Flower-Flower-Power/release/5106407
It's up here. Most records are reissues which I gathered from record stores in Europe. Originals of - Ethiopian jazz records especially - are really pricey and I'm not that rich haha. I do plan on visiting Algeria (maybe Tunisia aswell) coming summer so maybe I'll find some records there. :)
MRW you give the listeners in L2T the second Volumes mix and don't even let your diehards in VO know about it.
EDIT: Volumes 02: LSD 25
Denise Roughan (bass, keyboards, vocals), David Saunders (guitar, vocals), Dominic Stones (drums), David Mitchell (guitar, vocals, 1990-97)
Formed in mid-1988, the New Zealand noise pop band 3D's comprised vocalist/guitarist David Saunders, bassist Denise Roughan (formerly of Look Blue Go Purple, and author of that group's big hit "Cactus Cat"), and ex-Snapper drummer Dominic Stones. By the time 3D's made their live debut later in the year, their ranks also included guitarist David Mitchell.
The quartet first appeared with the track "Meluzina Man" on the popular Xpressway Pile-Up compilation, and in early 1990 recorded their debut EP, Fish Tales. With both Saunders and Mitchell splitting their time in the Robert Scott-led Magick Heads, 3D's went on the back burner, with only the EP Swarthy Songs for Swabs appearing in 1991; finally, in 1992, they issued their debut full-length, Hellzapoppin. The single "Beautiful Things" preceded the release of 1993's The Venus Trail, and a year later they toured America in support of Pavement and Superchunk. After the release of the Caterwauling EP in late 1994, 3D's largely dropped from sight for an extended period, finally resurfacing in mid-1996 with Strange News from the Angels.
He was a notable gay porn director during the 1980s who recorded one album called The Singing Rage: discogs. Lyrics (since I couldn't find them printed anywhere online):
I've never seen a purple cow, I doubt I'll ever see one
But I can tell you here and now, I'd rather see than be one
You pass me by then turn around, pretending not to make fun
But I can almost hear you thinking out loud, I'd rather see than be one
Does it make you feel normal, to see somebody like me?
Does it make you feel glad all over, just to know us crazies are so easy to see?
Well go ahead and enjoy it, for as far as I can see
If someone has to be normal, better you than me
CHORUS
Better you than me
Better you than me
If someone has to be your idea of normal
Better you than me
/
Now after all a purple cow, ain't such a big deal is it?
You know a cow's a cow's a cow, don't mean you have to... kiss it
And hey besides don't be sure you're right, why is the cow the feared one?
Just because you're human and white, don't mean you're not the weird one
Does it make you feel normal, to see somebody like me?
Does it make you feel glad all over, just to know us crazies are so easy to see?
Well go ahead and enjoy it, for as far as I can see
If someone has to be normal, better you than me
CHORUS x2
ALT CHORUS:
Better me than you
Better me than you
If someone gets to be crazy
Better me than you
CHORUS
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Off the Charts: The Song-Poem Story, here are some Trailers
I have this version of it. The Average Aussie Band song is amazing, and the first ever Aussie Hip Hop song, but I can't find an online version. The cover of Magic Wand is also pretty cool.
https://www.mixcloud.com/NTSRadio/floating-points-four-tet-live-at-brilliant-corners-5th-october-2015/. When I saw him I'm pretty sure he mixed it into bird songs. https://percussions.bandcamp.com/track/bird-songs.
He played it at pitchfork paris which might be online.
Soundcloud have removed this mix, so I have re-upped it to Mixcloud and also re-mastered the levels, increasing the volume somewhat.

Thanks, as always, for these. Looking forward to checking them out.
Have you thought about putting them on MixCloud? I've been using it recently for my mixes (shamless plug).

RYM’s ‘tymeshifter’ review: “Two good sides from this unknown outfit. The label operated out of Miami, FL, and from the sound of this record, it probably came out near the end of the 60's sometime, but I think 1970 is just a guess. Side A (‘Simple Words’) is mid-slow, fairly crude garage with a semi-heavy sound. The other side (‘Burnin' Feeling’) is mid-fast hard rock.”

not all of them are this weird but it's a good list: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/chrismass61/oh_la_la___les_beat__les_pop__les_cosmic__les_jerk__les_fusion_____amazing_french_music_from_the_60s_and_the_70s/
"Unknown and forgotten band from New Jersey, which emerged for a short while in 1968/69 at the same time with a handful of other outstanding rarities (see 2 CDs of Chaplin Harness). The information on the band is very scarce, although the music (written or published) by Dirty Martha Music Co is mentioned here and there. Dirty Martha's Music Company is/was the full original name of the band (Duke D'Anastasio, bass & vocals) which was formed in 1968 as an ambitious project under the spell of ''Blood, Sweat & Tears''. The project was not only ambitious, but surprisingly talented and skilful - it was not just another gang of self-taught hecks, but consummated and educated musicians. They were brothers D'Anastasio, Tom (keyboards, flute) and Duke (bass), Terry Wade (guitar), Tony Papa (drums), Phil Ryan (trumpet, percussion), Murray Goldman (Trombone, percussion), John Burgo (saxes, percussion), Lou De Meis (lead vocals, keyboards). Apart from self-composed tunes, the band came with unusual version of ''She's Not There'' (written by Rod Argent, it was a hit for The Zombies, and later on was immortalized by Santana) and superb rendition of Winwood/Traffic ''Gimme' Some Lovin' ''."
" ''Dirty Martha'' recorded enough material for an album, but (as far as I know) it was never released - there were few singles which came from their own studio (MSI Recording Studios) in Camden City, and marketed by Castle Records."

˝A searing art-rock masterpiece dominated by a relentlessly coruscating lead guitar sonic attack as if played by a demonically possessed John McLaughlin, Flux is ex Babe Ruth, ex Motiffe, with lead guitar by John Grimaldi before he joined Argent and worked on their prog masterpiece Circus. This LP is taken from a mono master tape-recorded on a BBC Mobile Unit at a live gig in 1973, a shocked Record Mirror journalist who witnessed the concert and described it in a published Record Mirror review as 'a new form of music'. Sound quality is great and this is a band in top form playing exactly what they want, in a zone a bit like King Crimsons Red, but with insane guitar leads that bludgeon the listener to death. The vocalist later joined Italian prog-rockers Flea On The Honey. Play this with a hangover and you will die in screaming agony. 1 very short track, and 4 very long ones. The gig ended with an IRA bomb scare. Yes really.˝

Just seen there's another record of her currently on sale for $18.39 Out of the Dark to You
Unfortunately being from Italy it costs 50€ in total with the shipment...
