Because I still use Soulseek for some hard to find music, I actually don't feel the Limewire nostalgia cause I'm still living the Limewire era baby. Only difference is that I'm using slsk instead of Limewire/Frostwire/MP3Rocket like I did a decade ago.
forums are always better for sharing music that isn't mainstream. funkysouls is my favourite. nice community, and there's always someone who will fill a request.

soulseek is still going too, for peer to peer
and rutracker is good for music too
You should try soulseek, it's a file sharing program with lots of music. After searching for an album you can apply the filter ".flac" to only find flac files. You can use something like MusicBrainz Picard to add metadata and verify that you got all songs in the album. If you are missing some you can just search by song name.
Soulseek probably has the biggest music collection on the internet, and it's a lot better than any website I've ever tried. The client is a little dated but whenever people ask for demos or snippets I just search on there and send them a download link. I learned about it from this sub, a lot of people use it I'm surprised no one's mentioned it.
http://www.slsknet.org/news/node/680
Site says it's a file sharing client but it's used more or less exclusively for music. You'll find all the types of quality you would ever want too, FLAC, MP3, M4A ect.
Not a website, but Soulseek. Have not struggled to find any track I happen to look for on it, and I'm always able to snag a high bitrate mp3/m4a. But if you want FLAC, you'll need to look elsewhere.
There's a new official cross-format Qt-based Soulseek client being developed. It's not finished, but it does work, so you could try that if you cannot get the Windows version working on Linux.
If you're not using it yet, use SoulseekQt, it's the only client still maintained.
If that doesn't solve it, have you made any changes to things other than Soulseek? A new router, firewall, etc? Can you post the results of ping vps.slsknet.org
and of ping 208.76.170.59
? See this if you need help with pinging.
Well it's a way of sharing your rips that doesn't involve posting them, but I recommend using the P2P software Soulseek. http://www.slsknet.org
You can add in your user info that you appreciate users who download from you making those files available to others (although most probably will do that anyway).
I love Soulseek! You download from other people's folders they choose to share, so you can refine your search by quality, albums, and way the files are organized.
It's really easy to use and you can save your search settings; since i mostly download whole albums, my search filter is mbr:320 mfif:5 (quality of audio and min of files in folder, to make sure only album folders show up in search) Hope it helps!
Also agree on soulseek (slsk), one of my most pleasured music acquiring utilities/experiences used during its infancy periods post-napster era in the very early 2000's... haven't had the need to revisit since we have so many options nowadays but hands down, it was one of my better places to begin in building a wonderful collection... introduced to so much from fellow soulseek peers... the conversation options at the time via direct chat with the fellow soulseek peers + slsk client, (i.e. not so much on the large room community group chats) you were sharing drives/folders with) was very cool too...
What was also fun was just having the chance to explore different soulseekers' drives that they shared... you never knew what you would find... a lot were great in that they organized the folders/subfolders really well.
The reflective downsides being quality-control (i.e. if one cares on formats, but heck at that time era, none of that mattered to me) and I recall ~ early 2000's on the slsk client, was trying to re-populate the large number of files/folders on refreshes taking a long time but am sure the newer builds have possibly remedied that... will need to revisit the client and slsk community again at some point!

If it's common you could save some time by trying to find a good rip here: http://www.slsknet.org
Fo a LOT of stuff I have found that it's not worth the time to convert it when there are probably 10+ people sharing it. What are you trying to convert?
one hopes you would support artists you really like, but if no matter what you aren't going to drop your deb/credit card, or it's something you can't find for sale anymore: http://www.slsknet.org/news/node/1
It's a skin and yes I have every song DL'ed.
For 320 releases, the best you can do is go all in and interview for a what.cd account. I have never had the need though. What I use is the /mu/ archive (search "desired artist + mega,") soulseek (like limewire but good,) or rutracker. You can find pretty much all the music you'll need on at least one of these. Usually I check the archive first and then go to soulseek. Let me tell you, soulseek is great for the obscure stuff. I always find what I'm looking for.
98% of my music is in 320/v0 and the ones that aren't just don't seem to be available that way. For example, some Lil Wayne mixtapes are only available in 192.
I searched for all of these on SoulSeek just now and found each one. I'd prefer not to upload them myself but if you have trouble finding them on SoulSeek let me know.
SoulSeek is like old school Napster, if you haven't heard of it.
Honestly dude, download this program. I have used it for years for incredibly obscure death/black/avant garde metal and have yet to be disappointed. PM me and I can step you through the process if you'd like and I can also see if there's anything I have that you might be after.
I'm still looking. I've found a user on Soulseek that seems to have full copies of about half of the episodes. The radio show had 26 episodes (2 series of 13 episodes in each) plus a 60 minute special.
https://laughterlog.com/2009/02/13/radio-the-naked-vicar-show/
This has a list of them all
You can download Soulseek if you want to try and find them as well
It's a great filesharing app for really, really, rare stuff.
Go here - http://www.slsknet.org/news/node/1
Download the latest SoulseekQt-2017-2-20.exe
Install it to where ever you want. Open the program and it'll prompt you to come up with a username and password. Then go into the options tab and click the file-sharing option. Set your download folder to whatever you want, and share whatever folders you want to. Go back to the search tab and you should be good to search and download.
Oh boy... here we go.
Now this depends entirely on how 'electronic' you like your beats and how 'hard' you like your trance.
On the softer, more ambient/ dubby/ organic/ psybient side of things:
On the harder/ proggier/ dancier/ psy side of things:
On the deephouse/ clubby side of things:
This list represents 0.0001% of what is out there.
Basically, EDM, as a musical form is endless - there are probably more artists out there appearing on the scene each day than you'll ever listen to in your entire lifetime. If you get hooked on this kind of music (which is easy to do for someone with ADHD because there is always something new to listen to) might I suggest you check out Soulseek. Be warned though, slsk is used to pirate music so it can be legally tricky, however a large number of EDM artists use this platform and others like it to distribute their music without too much concern for copyright. The rationale is they can reach a global audience very quickly this way, and when it comes to booking festivals and other gigs - people in the scene already know who they are.
It's a peer-to-peer program like Limewire. You can download it here. Don't be too put off by the 90s-looking website. Like I said, it's old, but there's a reason it's still going after almost 20 years.
The benefits are that it's relatively secure and it indexes other people's collections. You can find almost anything on it.
Check out Soulseek
> Soulseek is an ad-free, spyware free, just plain free file sharing network for Windows, Mac and Linux. Our rooms, search engine and search correlation system make it easy for you to find people with similar interests, and make new discoveries! >
Soulseek is a computer program which basically lets you download anything for free. I just got it yesterday and it literally has everything no matter how obscure. You can download it here and if you have any questions ask away!
~~Discogs doesn't even list those two releases. Do you know the names of anything else they've put out? If you do, you're best bet is Soulseek.~~
EDIT: This was a response to a totally different thread, haha.
To respond to this thread, I know they did a few "covers" and borrowed riffs like that Unbelievable song on Morbid Florist and Everyone Should Be Killed and I think they also did some similar shit on Top 40 Hits. I don't specifically recall the cover OP mentioned but if I had to guess it's on one of those 3 albums. Everything after that I think is just the recycled hardcore riff with gay jokes/over-the-top offensive shit. Been a while since I listened to anything other than Morbid Florist though so I could be wrong.
It's a private torrent tracker that you can only use if you successfully complete an interview process (seriously it's like a test) or are personally invited.
I just use a client called Soulseek, which has had everything I've wanted in FLAC, and you don't need to be invited.
The video is on soulseek. Not sure if it's complete though.
Otherwise I have the tracks as mp3 (including Serenity). Download here.
soulseek is pretty low-maintenance if you set it up right, you can download it here and it requires about 5 minutes to set it up, it's a direct p2p file-sharing service. For commercial/well-known music it might be a bit slow, but for music that's hard to find it's helped me out a lot.
http://www.slsknet.org I think most people I know who dj download (borderline legal) from here. It takes two minutes to download, then you literally type in the title and get the song. You also find Flac files or at least 320kbps. Highly suggested! Check reviews online before trusting me in case it could seem sketchy.
I was able to find it just now on soulseek but it's gonna take a while to download. I'll try to remember to follow up here, but you can also install soulseek and probably find it there yourself as well.
thank you!
I'm pretty sure that the 12ft.io links other people are using isn't breaking the paywall, because your documents from Soulseek have wayyy more in them. Much appreciated.
(if anyone reading this wants to know how to find them, just download Soulseek and type "Loudoun County Virginia" into the search function. )
for anyone who’d like to download the full content of all the drives we’ve gathered on discord so far, or just the andy morin songs, i put them up on the file sharing platform soulseek. once you’ve downloaded it you can find the files by searching “a2b2 night of fire 2 usb” or my username which is the same as on reddit. the mp3s are fucking banger btw
Sellised vanad plaadid on ammu müügist väljas. Su võimalused on leida kas

Better software for obtaining digital music:
http://www.slsknet.org/news/node/1
Recommend the "original Soulseek client" linked there if you can run it.
Then winamp to send to your player.
I started using soulseek my freshman year of college (2002) and never stopped. Also, I have a massive vinyl collection and love that purchasing new releases gets you a digital download. I swear I DO pay for most of my music but there's plenty of stuff I want to check out without the commitment.
Soulseek is a super useful program for downloads. Dead Pulpit has a chatbox for downloads, you can also request links if you're looking for something specific. KL will be missed though, super easy to use with such a broad range of music.
1) Options>File Sharing>Share Folder is how you share your music folder. Please share something.
2) http://www.slsknet.org/news/node/1 to download the latest.
3) Don't download executable files and you'll be fine. Get all the music, movies and books you want.
Here's a link to soulseek if your interested. Great p2p for finding off the track tunes. It's where I gathered bulk of my music. There are rooms by genre such as breakbeat. What you find depends on who's online. Might have to add . Mp3 to the allow able files list in settings. It was super popular years back. Unless you have another way. I'll upload it. http://www.slsknet.org/news/
its a software so you can download it here, then when you launch it you’ll have to create an account. After that its simple even if you may need to share a file in order to be able to download from everyone (users can automatically refuse people who don’t share to download their own files), but I forgot how.
I only use this version of soulseek http://www.slsknet.org/news/node/683
it is a bit older and the layout is not so extravagant,
but it works properly. Hope you get it done.
Hey y'all, I love doing this for y'all. But it's taking a while for Downloading, checking, and uploading. Would you all use a service like SoulSeek?
A few advantages would be
1.The files being up a lot longer.
Being able to serve people a LOT faster, as it's just the downloading, and verifying file quality, and dragging into a folder for me.
Others can surf other downloads to cut down on repeat requests.
Please let me know by replying to this comment!
Check out SoulSeekQT
I DL'd this and much of other beck's obscure work; among other diamonds in the rough out in the music world.
Also: Lampshade and (slight hot take? Considered high tier but not best) Totally Confused are easily among Beck's best in his catalog.
I love unconventional: crashed-on-indica-after-no-sleep-in-a-motel-for-48-hours-after-a-breakup-and-finalizing-it-with-some-robotripping - type albums.
Vader Rocks!
I'd advise anyone to download and install Soulseek. http://www.slsknet.org/news/node/1
It's older software but it's still amazing for P2P filesharing. Anytime I'm looking for an epub or pdf I can find it on Soulseek about 95% of the time, even obscure occult stuff.
woah, did i just find a snuff distribution ring?
inside of this program http://www.slsknet.org/news/node/683
not sure about the new version. this is napsters legacy. napster code inside!@
all you guys calling this dude a poser or disrespecting him are the real fucking posers. stop trying to exclude people. let people join the fun. Maybe hes not as used to the internet as we are.
go here: http://www.slsknet.org/news/node/1
download whichever version is appropriate for you based on what OS you have
install it, click on the search tab, type in what you're looking for
the results will show all the files people have uploaded with a file/folder name that matches what you searched for. it will show you the contents of the folder as well as their quality. find one you like, right click it, and click download. you can use the "transfers" tab to monitor download progress. it automatically downloads to a folder, you can click the "open folder" to find your downloaded content. good luck.
https://slsk.net/ seems to be compromised. The ssl page presents this error in Firefox:
>slsk.net uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names: 4008096586.com, www.4008096586.com Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN
It's possible there's filter on the new router that blocks ssl pages with invalid certificates that makes the page timeout for you instead of allowing Firefox or Chrome to present you with the error. http://www.slsknet.org/ goes to SoulseekQt's home. As far the port issue, make sure UPnP is enabled in SoulSeek's settings and it should work, unless the new router also blocks P2P programs and sites.
Hi, try as much as possible to be more specific, in which operating system and what version of Soulseek is running.
Anyway I leave you an official help link that can be your guide.
greg here, OP should download soulseek and find it on there.
although keep in mind that all three greatest hits compilations are russian bootlegs and are essentially mp3s of random tracks burnt onto cd and uploaded back online
cito una pregunta relevante:
>I am tired of people that don't share files. Why isn't there an auto-ban feature?
>
>There are a good number of reasons why people do not share files. First and foremost being that they do not realize that many people are upset by “non-sharers”. We realize that Soulseek has a reputation for mean, pedantic users that have a great list of “dos and don’ts” in their userinfo. We would like to think that our userbase is flexible, but know that this may be an impossibility. There is a very eloquent announcement regarding this on our Soulseek QT feature request forum here: http://www.soulseekqt.net/news/node/523

My other alternative is soulseek (not a tracker site), there's a lot of music http://www.slsknet.org/news/.
Of course tparser.org was amazing, and i'm still searching for an alternative cause slsk sometimes not works to me
do yourself a favor and get SoulSeek. No punk should ever go without this program on their computer
and with that being said, here's a link to the album download
mediafire link to the rar file of the two punx kissin' album
and if you want
ptp program, small size so wont drain yr comps resources, huge userbase, loads of obscure shit, chatrooms if you like that sort of thing, ditto pm's, can easily choose file size and format, wishlist and relevant recommendations etc etc. Basically download, install, choose a username and you are good to go.
SoulSeek is my best friend when I need music and can't find it on blogspot or torrent or elsewhere. Great P2P. Only files on there are files shared by other users in their personal collections. You'd be amazed at the random stuff you'll find on there. If you get it feel free to add me to your user list, same username as here.
http://www.slsknet.org/news/ You can browse (but definitely not ever download nor share cough) your music; It's the go-to for a lot of people looking for 320kbps+ tracks for their sets. wow.jpg.
Do a search for a track you like, rightclick > browse user's folders > start looking at what else they have.
Wow, it seems like soulseek does more than the p2p programs I tend to use.
Anyhow, on with the easy stuff: the transfer itself means you've got permission to get the file name and contents and now everyone who has a piece will send you that piece you need so your computer will report back which pieces are still missing. You might get them out of order but your computer will put them in order and track which pieces are missing.
People on the network will share who else they know is sharing which is peer-discovery.
Encryption might be used. For transmissiongtk and utorrent it can be used. It can even be required.
The listening port is your chosen port number, or a default number, for listening to other peers.
> I can't download music on my house internet due to some idiots torrenting brand new movies,
Do you not know about Soulseek? http://www.slsknet.org/news/
I've never recieved a DMCA notice from using it, and I use it almost daily while sharing 10GB worth of Portland bands with the world. Some people want you to share, which is NP since all you have to do is go to archive.org and download some live shows to share.
here is another of their hard to find releases, are we still friends. http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=09595567047060395614
you should download soulseek if you are able, you can get almost anything you are looking for on there.
I have found http://www.slsknet.org/SoulseekQt/Mac/SoulseekQt-1-26-2013.dmg works great for me, despite some folks having problems let me know how you get on Mac OS X 10.6.8 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GB Memory
http://churchofzer.blogspot.com/2012/03/die-kreuzen.html
In the future, just google "(band name) blogspot." You can find...just about anything. If that doesn't work, try Slsk. If that doesn't work, it's probably not out there.
Well its a P2P music sharing program...so speeds depend on your source, and of course, they can disappear at any moment...but I've rarely had a problem finding anything I'm looking for. http://www.slsknet.org/
Why not use something better than the *wire collection? Might I suggest Soulseek. Might be Drexel looks for the popular, and not the obscure. Also, Soulseek & Utorrent allow you to change ports.
Frostwire is basically Limewire without the ads. I never liked it.
After WinMX was taken down, I went searching for a good alternative, and the best I've found is Soulseek.
Songr that dre__ suggested looks pretty cool, though, I think I'll have to test it myself.
This is what has replaced Napster for me. None of the invasiveness or viruses associated with Limewire or Kazaa. Some of you may say you can find what you need on torrents but here at least you have the ability to join chat rooms to get suggestions. Or this if you're running linux; or this if you're running a Mac OS.
I use either soulseek (similar to limewire):
or bittorrent:
www.utorrent.com + www.thepiratebay.org
Recently I've been listening to the new Kanye West album (I know hes a douche, but a damn good musician imo) and the N.e.r.d album Seeing sounds (someone suggested it on reddit!)
