The book states that he lives in Oenpelli, Anhem Island. The book was published in 1970, so the man could still be alive but he’d be super old.
edit: Anthem Land, not island
edit 2: Book link
LOL great. Boxenstein removed the actual post where I posted an updated transcript. Here it is anyways: http://codepad.org/hagC0IGQ
EDIT: I guess he just doesn't want drama on the sub. That's fine.

Download ShareX and capture the video too. Remember to select the highest quality possible.
EDIT: Fuck it there's an newer thread with a higher quality version of the track available. It's here.

whoever said the warbling bass intro on pss could fit with inanimate, you were right: https://clyp.it/yoenuy12
i'm adding the first two lines of this post and a spreadsheet to the op
These are fantastic. They've actually made many concerts sound better imo.
Ok but, we do have the stems for ExM. It should in theory be perfectly possible to overlay the isolated vocal of "quarantine the virus" over the instrumental, rather than having to cut in that entire section of the original track. Example.
There's a program called HTTrack. It crawls a website and downloads everything from it. I used it on a2b2.org and there's literally nothing there that we haven't seen.
https://www.httrack.com/ if you don't believe me and want to try it. Pretty much what I got from it today was a couple of image files and the html. Not much more than that from what I saw.
"I stopped skating as much because I didn't want to thrash myself or break anything and not be able to play drums. I transferred the energy and physicality I was putting into skating into playing,"

Yeah it's not the only time he's mentioned DG.
I enjoy a handful of JPEGs songs but man people are really overstating his appeal with this new album. He's now had three releases with some laughable edgelord lyricism and a sound that is a far cry from original.
Those synths are more in the vein of dance-punk/post-punk, but I can agree with you that the guitar lines are pretty psychedelic.
Another thing, I didn't realize this on my first listen, but checking out RYM genre tags for songs like Linda's in Custody and Disappointed, I definitely now hear a "zolo" influence. Damn strange, cavernous album.
Genius lists Liz Liles as Mexican Girl.
This sub has additionally named her as Mexican Girl in the past.
Would like to see the Death Grips confirmation she is not MG, as /u/Thommunster has stated above.
The girl in the OP photo does appear to be Liz Liles(the photo is referenecd in the second link here as well), so my assessment is that you are correct, to the best of our knowledge right now.
Not gonna argue if you don't believe me. I was pretty caught off guard too. Turns out more than one person has that name because you know... life. https://www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/Jennifer/Deatherage
I'm gonna disagree. It sounds like it was just sampled and put through some basic effects. Filter, reverb, etc would do a lot for it.
Compare that to System Blower getting its hook synth from the Williams sisters grunting and it's not really that far fetched. But yeah they totally could be similar patches.
Yeah, I do, here's the link
I used to have the first version of True Vulture, the one with less samples in WAV, but I can't find it on my laptop
Best list on the website, Death Grips is included
I also meant to post this earlier. It's a bunch of pages that archive.org has archived, most of them are 404's but what is going on to make it crawl/archive those pages. https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.a2b2.org/*
i am le audio producer man XD
Death Grips almost never touch their samples, they almost always use them raw, with no pitch correction and very very little altering, so typically if you were to hear a sample you would know instantly and not have to wonder whether or not it is the sample.
On that note, the panda sneeze is not a definite match to me because the accent is different. The Panda sneeze is soft on the beginning, like a "Yuh" sound while in the actual song it is closer to a "Buh" sound.
This is the Panda sneeze looped twice over its self with reverb at about the same tempo of the song Punk Weight.
It certainly sounds very similar, however I do hear some minor differences.
I can't give you a definite answer of yes or no but I can tell you that it is very, very close. It might be the sample, it also might not be.
What do you guys think? Is it it? Is it not?
edit: Incase you were wondering what I meant by "they dont edit the samples", look at andy morins account on this sample site https://www.freesound.org/people/epicproblem/ (click sounds). You can see that many samples were just copy+pasted from that site and not edited at all.
Also I think I proved that it isn't the sample :P
I think I can hear it, yeah. Also, since I don't think anyone's posted this to the sub yet, someone on Whosampled also figured out that the Ring A Bell intro uses drums from Interview 2016 too.
Nice I would like to see the original video of Venus screaming though Edit: Found it right here! http://www.whosampled.com/sample/151771/Death-Grips-System-Blower-Ozzy31-Williams-Sisters-Grunting/ Pretty fuckin' dope sample!
I got really bitter about therapy but I've been in and out for 18 years. Been hospitalized twice. Have a history of suicide. All that shit.
That app is helpful for a few reasons. 1) it helps you identify when you're starting to spiral. 2) it does a great job of actively helping you take part in cognitive behavior therapy. This is what I use it for. 3) a dedicated "reasons to live" and "what should I do" lists force you to face what you can do to help.
Believe me man I've struggled with it for a long time and been in some pretty bad places, so it's best to always surround yourself with what helps and know yourself. Trust your judgment and do what you need to do to stay above water.
If ya'll are interested in creating stems using AI without the yeezy circle, check out https://github.com/deezer/spleeter
It's a bitch to setup but you get decent results.
Looks like some of the sites they link to are still active today.
Was able to find some Fyre tracks. Not sure if any of these are unreleased.
> we have recorded 14 albums. Each Fyre member has at least 5 solo albums, for a total of 45-50 albums total. So we don't have time to play live very often, but would be receptive to it.
Need to hear the 5 mxlplx solo albums.
i went to amazon and, despite saying “out of stock,” i was able me to proceed with the purchase as though i was buying any other in-stock/backordered item from the site.
Wait, wasn't this also called like 'Hell of Sand Falling Game waaay back in the addictinggames heyday?
Fuck I have it on my phone, Sand Premium if anyone is wondering
We found it. Another user identified the background from the black paint image as Sunset Sound Recorders studio which is a 7 min drive from where the statue is, which is available on Airbnb for $165/night

how did you find that vampire video? i've never seen it around here before. here's a never-before-seen photo of Andy playing drums.
Zach Hill is a noise rock fella... I wonder if it's a reference to the Ex Models album Zoo Psychology, on which 'Intro' is the second track. Also it's just an absurd Death Grips thing to do but that album's what it reminded me of.
It's selling for that much because people are overcharging for it, trying to cash in on the DG break up. That website is an official merch site made by Epic Records for when they used to be on the label and MyPlayDirect is home to a fuck ton of other artists' official stores. It totally is legit.
The problem remains though that they are super fucking slow to ship and sometimes ship things incorrectly. They are professional, but they aren't the best in the world.
Personally, I feel like you'd have better luck with Barnes And Noble (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/money-store-death-grips/23896981?ean=886919635119) or InVinyl (http://www.invinyl.net/#!product/prd1/1163528081/death-grips---the-money-store---vinyl-lp).
My solo stuff is usually experimental, but the band I'm in, we play Death Metal.
http://www.reverbnation.com/antenora7 This is my band's shit.
This is my own solo stuff which is really different.
A lot of the sounds they make are just samples that are fucked with. Check out their Whosampled page. A good starting point would be to sample something you like, and chop/screw/mangle/distort until you make something of your own. :)
It is annoying, and I'd love it to be on there. Spam away in the comments if you want: http://www.whosampled.com/Death-Grips/?sp=1
Looks like it was on there at one point, someone has already commented "What happened to the Two Heavens sample?" and someone I think was replying to them by saying "According to the admins...... Flatlander himself contacted them and told them the sample was incorrect." I think that's bogus, it's so fucking obvious.
nvm i lied about there being two sampled black flag tracks, its just one
the second one thats sampled towards the end is apparently The Castaway's liar liar
i like this a lot, a little too much vocal delay on a few tracks, but awesome nonetheless. https://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/detona/%EF%BB%BF%EF%BD%86--%EF%BD%85--%EF%BD%81--%EF%BD%92--%EF%BD%8D--%EF%BD%81--%EF%BD%8B--%EF%BD%85--%EF%BD%92/ i just added you and this album to RateYourMusic, hopefully you'll get some more attention through that
Meh, Death Grips using culture jamming is nothing new, and honestly they are doing it pretty poorly. Here are several groups which have done it better. https://rateyourmusic.com/list/StuffRodHeardAfterAugust/this_is_bullshit__nobody_cares___culture_jamming_and_music/
EDIT: and another list https://rateyourmusic.com/list/lardopirate/irl_trolling/
According to Zach, the lines "I seen footage, I stay noided." originated from an interaction the band had with a local Sacramento vagabond who, while inebriated, said he had seen footage of a conspiracy theory.
Extrapolation of conspiracy theorists that think like this leads to usually finding out the individual has some sort of mental imbalance, in this case paranoia. Thus many people's favorite DG hook was born.
Besides their 5 studio albums and 1 live album, I have 14 songs. I uploaded these on mediafire, in like a compilation album sort of thing. 01 Sound from the Come Up And Get Me Video 02-04 The three songs from the ep that didn't appear on exmilitary 05-06 Live From Death Valley 07 Audio from Black Google Video 08-09 Bjork remixes 10 @deathgripz 11 True Vulture 12 Audio from No Hands Video 5 13 Prodigy remix 14 Fuck A Bitch https://www.mediafire.com/?i621hk7x45aph7a
https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/19984813/Ableton_Live_10_Final_Crack_-_Tested_myself__Working__Seeding I'm on mac, so I havent tested any of the windows cracks out but I mean, that is definitely something u just gotta deal with sometimes when torrenting stuff...keygens are never going to be completely safe, but thats easily fixed by running anti virus shit after ur finished downloading obviously

I think, that this website seems like a better place for DG vids like that.
The video definitely delivers!
WhoSampled doesn't seem to have anything on it, and that's my usual go-to source to looking up samples. Really fun site and really easy to end up wasting an hour just playing songs and finding the samples they have cataloged.
Also "Interview" instead of "Runway." Oh, the prankage....
By the way, if anybody does want to pay for FW, Tidal will let you. Same deal as Int16: $10 for MP3s, $18 for FLACs.
taking inspiration and making something new is a lot different than copying a painting but changing a couple small things and claiming it as original.
You also did the same thing with this painting: http://aj-perez.com/2014-current/lmk9m1kujsj822lk0l9pkn2c0s7ryv
which is an attempt at this Magritte:
http://www.wikiart.org/en/rene-magritte/delusions-of-grandeur-1948
http://genius.com/Death-grips-up-my-sleeves-lyrics/ this has some pretty good explanations for that.
"Ride is probably referring here to the ‘Masonic Lawn’ section of the cemetery, where graves are unmarked, either because the remains are unidentified or to avoid vandalism due to the notoriety of the deceased. The plot is probably so-named on account of the persecution of Freemasons in the nineteenth century, with whom Ride may be identifying himself, both for his paranoia and his occult knowledge."
and here's the thing about the grave in the background http://images.rapgenius.com/5df2c1f79ed20716f82222ee5953ac89.544x1000x1.jpg
GUYS WHAT IF IT'S A KANYE REFERENCE REMEMBER THE CONFIRMED KANYE BEEF
And it's extremely true. When I started college, one of the first things my writing professors made us do is re-learn how to write. High school tends to teach you some pretty awful writing habits - cramming as many big words in as possible for "complexity," only writing in an argumentative style, etc. - and we had to learn from the start that our writing was probably pretty shit.
A great book on the topic - or just advancing your writing capacity in general - is William Zinsser's <em>On Writing Well</em>. It lays down some good fundamentals for quality writing that stresses content over verbosity, which is a concept many just used to.
There's not a lot of evidence actually backing the conspiratorial argument for MLK's assassination. For a good book that details the background of the assassination attempt itself, I'd recommend Gerald Posner's 1998 book Killing the Dream. Posner's conclusion is that there's simply a lack of any real evidence pointing to conspiracy and that the evidence pointing to Ray's singular role as the killer is quite strong.
It's not to say that the case is shut, but that the conspiratorial conclusion has very little evidence backing it right now.
Sorry this took about 5 hours, internet crashed at a friend's house (we were using a 3G sim card for internet). Now I'm home and the internet actually works so. here you go, happy listening

heres the various pieces from Rumble chopped up very roughly
https://clyp.it/a0oswahf
the first section is untouched from the original recording, all other bits except for the pentatonic lick are pitched up 4 semitones. try it yourself.
tell me what chords you hear being played in this recording.
I really enjoy how the backing beat comes through as those huge piano key mashes (does the same thing in this conversion of the Sacrifice remix, which has the Full Moon beat come in at 0:17).
I have one of these, I got it from ebay ages ago, I have comments about it on discogs from ages ago https://www.discogs.com/Death-Grips-The-Money-Store/release/3543886 that I guess was sent as an advanced copy to the music reviewer. I think it has some kind of novelty value but I'm not really sure if it's valuable I guess..
for anyone who’d like to download the full content of all the drives we’ve gathered on discord so far, or just the andy morin songs, i put them up on the file sharing platform soulseek. once you’ve downloaded it you can find the files by searching “a2b2 night of fire 2 usb” or my username which is the same as on reddit. the mp3s are fucking banger btw
Tough question...those two go together like salt and pepper. Even moreso when synced with the Feb 13 audio which takes them to the next fucking level.
Gonna have to say WABGL though. I prefer Turned Off's lyrics/flow but WABGL's apocalyptic intensity is something else.
>Who is Mark Rollings? ...Is he even a real person?
Yes he's real. Below is his facebook and linked in. According to fb and linkedin he's president and ceo of paranormal date and does some voiceover work.
here we go.
this took me ~15 minutes from my last post, counting the time it took for me to look for my copy of WOE and download the stems for come up and get me. there is a 2.3% difference in the BPMs of each song so i just sped up ride's vocals by 2.3%. this was done in audacity. i didn't do the whole song or master it or anything, but it sounds good and matches up perfectly.
i'm in full fucking shia lebouf mode right now. look, i hate DG mashups, but never let anyone tell you two songs can't be combined, and never convince yourself that it's not at least worth trying to do something, if only to gain experience from it.
Wasn't there a YouTube video of a drumline band doing a song called "Devil's Rumble" (or something like that) that sounded like the tribal drum sounds from Lord Of The Game?
edit: nvm I found it http://www.whosampled.com/sample/298390/Death-Grips-Mexican-Girl-Lord-of-the-Game-Blue-Devils-The-Ditty/
Its easy and i wont do that.
You may get decent results by simply choosing "fit" or "span" when using them as desktops.
Dual Wallpaper has some scaling and positioning options that could help as well, outside of just using phoshohop or w/e.
Yeah definitely, during "HEY its a party come early if you're lonely" part, theres a stuttering glitched to hell sound. Considering what they did with System Blower and the similarly glitched to hell sound of grunting, I figure it's not too much of a stretch to think that's Bjrok.
Sounds like an old AM radio station that has those old preachers rambling on and on. Whosampled doesn't even have a submission for it yet.
Holy damn. I think you are right. It sounds just like it, just a bit speed up for the tempo of True Vulture. I checked whosampled and no one has put anything, I would if I were you.
So I just stumbled across this sound and a few others while looking for samples to use and I'm PRETTY sure this (or maybe the entire series this sound came from) was used in one of the tracks on "Fashion Week".

Reminds me of the section on Quality in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Specifically the earlier parts, when he's still defining "Quality" as needing other points of reference to truly determine the value of something. Like you said, in that regards, Death Grips are nearly impossible to judge fairly because they're so peerless.
Just get these My glasses never once moved an inch from my face and I was going hard. I don't know why these things aren't common knowledge for mosh pits.
Yes, they are very loud. You'll be fine as long as you have hearing protection.
I use these ear plugs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G0PPTAK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_8bahwyU6yhgPZ
But anything like these should work just fine although it may not sound as good https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001FJUZGO/ref=mp_s_a_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1502144423&sr=8-5&keywords=orange+ear+plugs
I got these ones. Pretty cheap on prime and they stayed in the whole show without the string attaching them together (and I was in the pit the whole show).
this ones got a bunch of his short stories and novellas:
Those will work, but these are the ones I was talking about.
These? Hopefully I can find them in store as Canada Post is about to go on strike..
Now available on Amazon UK too (although slightly more expensive). https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01F8674DG/ref=s9_simh_gw_g15_i1_r?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=Y5WZ9X28YPAFQEQ1ZRQD&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=867551787&pf_rd_i=desktop
I didn't notice that they're that much louder than any other show.. but it is for sure a good idea to wear earplugs in general. My ears are, I guess, especially sensitive and I would get tinnitus after almost every show, and obviously damage was being done (I've got it a bit permanently now too). I also would recommend those Etymotic Research earplugs, I have the ones with the longer stems and they're great.
Most people think of those foam-type earplugs when they hear that, this is what i have and they don't change the sound much.
Death Grips is gonna be my first concert, but when I worked in a factory surrounded constantly surrounded by industrial grade nail guns (usually right next to my ear), table saws and beeping forklifts for 8 hours a day, a normal set like these was perfectly good for the job. I'd imagine they might even be a little overkill for a concert, but I guess what I'm saying is don't stress it much, because most sets you find will do okay.
Also, for all you UK grippers here it is on Amazon. Personally I don't really feel like paying £30 for an audio CD but y'all suit yourself. I'm sure it may come with some pleasant surprises, but I'm not sure I feel like taking the risk.

You can no longer order it on amazon and the date changed to april 22nd and then there is something about dec 31, 2020???? Link to Amazon
It says unavailable, but it also says December 31, 2020. And if you click the drop-down menu, there's a version that says February 25, 2015. But obviously they're both unavailable for pre-order.
