I got really bitter about therapy but I've been in and out for 18 years. Been hospitalized twice. Have a history of suicide. All that shit.
That app is helpful for a few reasons. 1) it helps you identify when you're starting to spiral. 2) it does a great job of actively helping you take part in cognitive behavior therapy. This is what I use it for. 3) a dedicated "reasons to live" and "what should I do" lists force you to face what you can do to help.
Believe me man I've struggled with it for a long time and been in some pretty bad places, so it's best to always surround yourself with what helps and know yourself. Trust your judgment and do what you need to do to stay above water.
Ooh that's so cool! It hasn't updated yet on my play store app yet tho :( can somebody take a screenshot of what the most common reviews say on this app? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moodtools.moodtools
The most popular depression app for android smartphones! Giving away promo codes for 'Pro Mode' which unlocks passcode protection and colorful themes!
Instructions: Download MoodTools -> Go to settings -> Upgrade -> Purchase. (Make sure the selected purchase value is the default one - usually 9.99)
PS. If you want to recommend this app to someone, our website is at moodtools.org (there's an iPhone version too!).
Edit: Looks like most of the codes are gone. I added 20 more at the bottom, but for these codes make sure that the selected purchase value in the app is the MINIMUM one (99c)! In addition, the app is available with pro mode for free on the amazon underground app store. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016D030KW
Mental health is an issue that has been particularly in the limelight recently with netflix's 13 reasons why. Here are some apps that I made that can help!
Depression (and suicide) - MoodTools
Anxiety - FearTools
Panic Attacks - PanicShield
Each of these apps contains several different simple, effective, evidence-based tools.
For example: Safety Plan in MoodTools is the best suicide prevention app out there (it's also available standalone at www.suicideapp.com ). It contains a plan that you can personalize, a guide, and a crisis mode where you can reach out to friends or hotlines during a difficult time.
Anyways, these apps are all free with no ads. So check them out and recommend them to any friends or family you think might be able to benefit from them! (The apps are easily reachable at moodtools.org, feartools.org, and panicshield.org)
I'm awake on a Saturday morning! Now's my chance to tell you guys about 3 mental health apps - for depression, anxiety, and panic attacks.
