Here's a link for y'all. Let em know you feel.
I'm a beta tester and I've had the new Snapchat for a month or so now. Definitely recommended they not choose this path, but, here we are.
More obscure apps can definitely be just as good, and just because an app is popular doesn't mean it's actually good

Snapchat for example has 500 million-1 billion downloads and a 4.1 rating, but the app runs terribly and has a lot of issues
What you saw were 13 million reviews snapchat has 500 million+(!) downloads

In case someone wants to rate snapchat....
Anyone, make an online tool which just gives one star to snapchat. This tool would be one click. Easy to use. With a million click it would give a million single star rating in a day.
I will fuck u so hard you will in world of pain. What about a rdx in your ass and a lighter in my hand. Hire some gunmen to protect yourself for your entire life, clock is fucking ticking fucker

I will never understand why people install that spyware on their mobile devices, especially after all of the controversies surrounding it.

Sure! Here you go:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snapchat.android&hl=en_US&gl=US
Or if you are an iOS user:
Obtain the package name of the app that pauses, for example by clicking Share (or obtaining the link of the app) on the playstore. In this case it is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snapchat.android
The permission to pause can be revoked from an app with a terminal emulator that has been granted root.
su -c cmd appops set com.snapchat.android TAKE_AUDIO_FOCUS ignore
su -c cmd appops set com.snapchat.android TAKE_AUDIO_FOCUS deny
The default is allow. The app might not work correctly without this permission.

Their Android rewrite is a failure - look at recent reviews. But their new filters are getting viral attention and this is probably driving the stock price up.
I think you're missing the point. One of Snapshit's primary promotional platform points is that YAOR IMAJINS R NO SAVE EVAR; and they even warn potential users that BWARY EVIL HaXX☭Rz MIGHT BE ☠SAVINGS  SCREENSHOTS☠;
"Please note: Snapchatters can always capture or save your messages, such as by taking a screenshot or using a camera. Be mindful of what you Snap!"
Their disclaimer makes their anti-privacy (i.e. anti-root) policy even more pointless.

Snapchat in GooglePlay was updated yesterday to 9.39.1.0
The four apps I use every single day are:
So I guess those would be my favorites.
Honorable mention goes to Google Play Music for having it's super easy save locally feature for long days at the gym.
This is the play store link to Snapchat: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snapchat.android What happens when you click on it?
Boy do I have an app for you!
So you went back at Snapchat again? Interesting. Seems like i wasn't that far off with my initial statement.
Snapchat not gonna change, especially not with reviewers bashing on them. Realistically, why SHOULD they change anything?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snapchat.android&hl=en
They have a 4,4 rating on the google play store, 21 million people reviewed the app. That number is pretty fucking good. Maybe it's inflated, maybe it's bought reviews, who knows.
I'm not defending them. For years the app was screen capturing the viewfinder which is soo fucking scuffed, the engineering team should be embarrassed. But the users were still using it, they just don't care. They even give it a 5 start review.
If you want to go against Snapchat, you have better chance to make #BoycottSnapchatOnAndroid trending on Twitter.
> However during comparisons of two devices, these things should definitely be taken into consideration and mentioned as a serious con.
Is it Samsung/LG/OnePlus/Xiaomi/Huawei/Nokia's fault that Snapchat is trash on Android compared to iOS? No. So why should the Reviewer bring this up? Makes no sense.
I get it, from the users perspective if they can afford a high end Android or an iPhone, both will be equally fast. The only main difference will be the app quality on both platform. And since the user will be using apps all the time they want to best experience. Maybe iOS is better for them, maybe not.
I don't use Snapchat, so i don't care. But i use reddit a lot on my phone. I'm always baffled when i search for 'Reddit' on the Appstore using my parent's iPad. Even if i search it on the web, i get just a couple of results. Then you search on reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/applehelp/comments/a6pzha/best_reddit_app_for_ios/
...and people only mentioning: Apollo, official Reddit app, Narwhal, Slide... Ironically Apollo is pretty mediocre imo. Where are those high quality Reddit apps on iOS? Since we declared that iOS has better apps then Android.
Now do the same thing, search for a 'Reddit' on the play store. I'm pretty sure you will find at least 20 full featured or more. The top 10 is used by a bunch of people here on /r/android. I would not leave Android for iOS unless it has Boost. That's just as stupid reasoning as people won't buy Android because of the 'Green message bubble'.
Probably because it's the beta. Try this one
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snapchat.android
Go about half way down the Play Store page and you should see Join The Beta
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snapchat.android
from what i can tell it is Snapchat
You're still wrong. Snapchat for Android has a higher 4 star review with 9.5 million reviews compared to iOS version with 2.5 star review and 288k reviews.
