Piece of shit. He didn't even understand survival rates. Dude was getting his news from a site hosted on WordPress.com. I can't believe how much they believe BS that they see on FaceBook. My mother tried to tell me that this random gynecologist with no virology training and no background in vaccine development was qualified to speak out against the vaccine because it "rewrites your DNA" simply because she saw it online. "How else would she be able to get this info online if it weren't true?!?!" That's seriously her justification.
I'm a web developer. I could literally put anything online if I wanted to. Speaking of.....I may have to eventually add my fucking parents to the subreddit.
Nice project there. However, the picture on this page is 100% fake and from the website https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/. This page should be removed as it will only serve to damage credibility.
If you want to melt your mind, here is a pdf copy of that issue of the Sovereign Independent. It's fucking Looney Tunes. I take that back. At least Looney Tunes makes fucking sense.

I award 1 diversity point for them not being from Southern state or northern Rockies. Extra diversity point for Canadian, wow! One diversity point for being under 50. One diversity point for no religious talk.
Still, my favorite irony is how many women bought the fancy, "fake", glitter masks to somehow circumvent mask mandates...while still wearing some kind of barrier.
I know it's not as effective, but it was hysterical to see.
I have a nagging feeling that this Israeli report will get over-hyped, and the hype will cause people to do stupid things.
I have heard of too many cases of people getting a second infection of COVID that really wrecks them. To be clear, my impression might not be a representative sample, but the fact that some folks who have survived COVID once have gotten completely done in by a second infection doesn't bode well. They might have immunity combined with organ damages that negates whatever good that immunity might have offered.
Consider this guy:
Once a fitness coach, man contracted COVID twice urges people to get vaccinated
This is Bill Phillips, the fitness coach who got famous from his fitness book Body for Life. He was buff and fit, but now he can't even exercise, or even talk fast.
He got COVID, and had a mild case, and didn't vaccinate. Then he got COVID a second time, and it nearly killed him. He lost 70 pounds, and is a shell of his former self, now confined to a wheelchair breathing oxygen out of tubes.
He's not even the only case of such a thing. A number of awardees and nominees in this subreddit survived COVID once only to be wrecked by a second infection because they behaved carelessly, thinking that they had "natural immunity".
And maybe their immune systems do recognize COVID, but the virus left back doors or did other damage that let the infection have a head start. I don't really know, but at this point, if the vaccine is free, I think even those who had prior infections should get vaccinated.
Amazon will do. Inexpensive level 3 surgical masks and even some fashionable black ones. Sure you can wash your cloth mask, but it does not give the protection you need. I wear these medical masks several times each, which you are not strictly supposed to do but I take a bit of liberty there.
Me too, I've had it 3/4 years and its fantastic. My only issue is that in the last year is their insistence that I upgrade to new software which then makes me have to log into my account via a web portal first (which I can see would be a security risk and cause hassle as ISP's block those web portals). Check Reddit. It didn't bother me too much as I just used an older version of the software and didn't upgrade - but recently they have said that all old software will be blocked from connecting and only the new software and login method will be allowed. Not great. I wonder if the basic TAP software can be used to connect to their server IP addresses still (also a hassle) to get around that? My contract runs out November and I have been eyeing ExpressVPN, but I love Nord and their price schemes and want to stay.

Given his general attitude he probably thought he was better than average. After all, 88% of Americans think they are better than average drivers (and 32% think they are in the top 10% of drivers).
LOL, I'll throw in another interpretation: for us linguistics students of the 80's, LGB was also a publication called Lectures on Government and Binding (collection of Chomsky papers on what his current syntactic theory was at that time...that made me snicker then, too).
YMMV, but I wash my face with this and it’s helped keep my rosacea at bay with almost daily mask wearing. https://www.chewy.com/veterinary-formula-clinical-care/dp/43540?utm_source=google-product&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=12799171409&utm_content=Veterinary%20Formula%20Clinical%20Care&utm_term=&gbraid=0AAAAADmQ2V0aX2cEcPvvWIGLbRSl...
Take the slides and use OCR software to extract the text. Then there are various Web sites where a block of text can be pasted in and standard reading scores (e.g. Flesch-Kincaid) calculated.
(Do not run spelling/grammar check … it will run riot on the extracted text. Retyping the text from slides is not recommended as it breaks the brain).
It might be worth trying LibreOffice. It is good at dealing with balky documents and is also my “Swiss army knife” when a Word document is corrupt.
(I just tried loading a few PDF books into it and it made a decent attempt at making a readable document, which could be saved as DOCX, each time).
>Is "prayer warriors" a thing they've been saying since forever or is it new?
It's comparatively recent. Mid-eighties, USA, but blew up in the early 2010s.
So sorry - so frustrating! You may have heard of this excellent book: American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America, by Colin Woodard.
It describes exactly what happened to your mom. “Greater Appalachia was populated by waves of immigrants from the borders of Northern Ireland, northern England, and the Scottish lowlands” & brought with them a stubborn distrust of government.
Sounds like she’s living out the path she was born on. So sorry you have to deal with this, but bravo for breaking the generational chains.
This one actually. It's about as good as a K-bar but costs less.
I can't believe Google came through so well just now. I bought it at the Dick's Sporting Goods like 5 years ago lol.
Isn’t that a John Waters film? I think it’s the only one I haven’t seen!
Also, one of my fondest night shift memories was shopping for this on my break:
Not the OP and I am from the wrong Celtic country, but I strongly recommend The Great Irish Famine: A History in Four Lives by Enda Delaney.
Not the OP and I am from the wrong Celtic country, but I strongly recommend The Great Irish Famine: A History in Four Lives by Enda Delaney.
I am reading a book recommended to me, Children Who Kill by Carol Anne Davis.
It is brilliant, and also terrifying. It was published in 2003, before the pernicious "true crime as entertainment" genre really took hold, and the author is capable of stepping back and seeing the wider situation. (The murders themselves are treated almost perfunctorily - it is their background that the author is interested in). She can also merge psychological theory into the argument without droning on or drowning the reader in references.
What is terrifying is that her book makes it blindingly obvious that many of the nominees and awardees here were abused as children and/or have (probably untreated) mental issues. One could almost cut out the murders and tack a slide show onto the remaining text, without loss of continuity.
The Uses of Literacy: Aspects of Working Class Life by Richard Hoggart is required reading.
I knew it was going to be relevant when Lindsey Hanley (another sociologist of the working class) wrote, in the Introduction:
>What matters to working-class people, Hoggart argues, are relationships within the group rather than between those who are in it and those who are outside it. For anyone on the outside, which goes for doctors, social workers, the police, and anyone with the power to demolish your feelings with a dirty look, the all-purpose “Them” is used.
and:
> Without self-respect, you are open to denigration and exploitation by those who see opportunities in human vulnerablility.
Nothing is new. It was originally published in 1957.
Happy almost birthday!

I'm petty enough to buy this funny money and stuff that jar. You should too.
Nothing more poetic than donating fake money to a fake disease... and I bet it'll piss them off someone didn't take this seriously.
I don't know how close they live to you but this has worked well for me in the past if they're you're next door neighbor.
The book “Snapping“ first published in 1978 and again in 1995 made this very case with a warning -deal with it now or you will deal with it later and we all know how that went.
I think masks are here to stay. The first time I went to Asia for work about 15 years ago, I saw a lot of people masked and thought it was odd, wondering what their reason was. Were they sick? Or are they worried about catching something? Every trip (dozens), no matter what country, I saw masks and got used to it.
I just flew in and out of Phoenix last weekend and I get it now. Now I want this shirt.
Fifty. This dude is only fifty. And this Trumpian dumbassery has put him in, basically, hell, for months on end.
I don't often say I wouldn't wish some awful experience on my worst enemy, because I can think of quite a lot of powerful people in the world who deserve a very long and miserable death. But months of being just an agonised lump in a bed, barely able to breathe and developing huge suppurating holes in your body? Yeah, OK, I actually would not wish that on Putin. Maybe not even on Stalin, or Hitler. Maybe a week or two. Then I'd be OK with them dying.
I'm forty-eight. I'm vaccinated. I did some shopping today and wore a mask, as did approximately 1.5% of the other people who were shopping.
(I'm in Australia. Covid cases are currently rising again. And, yes, we have our own idiots protesting against "mandates" which may not even exist any more. Not as many of 'em as there are in the USA, but sometimes these Australian protesters wave Trump flags. The mind boggles.)
Why take the risk? You wear a seat belt even though you don't expect to get in an accident, right? It's a frickin' face mask. It's nothing. It's definitely not "communism", for fuck's sake.
(Yes, I'm aware that there are still people who don't wear seat belts because freedom. They don't seem to drive on the wrong side of the road because freedom, but I'm not sure why. I do grudgingly respect whoever invented <strong>these</strong> things, though. Take that all in. Take your time. :-)
Have you tried steaming yourself?
Low tech version is to heat some water almost to a boil and pour it in a bowl. Put a towel over your head and lean over the bowl of steaming water and breath deeply. You can also put some Vick's VapoRub in small cup and float it in the steam bath. The high tech way is to buy something like this.
I am prone to sinus infections and can attest that this really works.
After much experimentation the “fish shaped” N95 masks are the best here; there is no physical or indirect impact on breathing and I can wear them for as long as required.
On trying those I am embarrassed I used cloth masks for ages …
I got tired of seeing all the stupid fucking "I DID THAT" Biden stickers at every single gas station i go to. So I decided to buy some of my own to put on top of them:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09RKBBJV3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Is it petty and silly? Sure... but I'm seriously tired of seeing those stupid stickers and I'm tired of peeling them off so I wanted something to just put over them. I couldn't find any stickers with a picture of trump saying 'i did that' so i had to settle for these.
I'm sorry you have this issue. Keep safe.
My two favorite n95's are Comfy/cheapish/ugly and stylish enough my teen will wear it.
That book <strong>is</strong> on Amazon, so you actually could! :-)
It has a rating of 4.8 out of 5, from 539 ratings. So it's either one of the best books ever written... or, perhaps, nobody who isn't 100% on board with the ridiculous idea of learning how to get the omniscient creator of the universe to doing what you ask him to do ever buys it.
Forgot to mention, he also wrote a book:
Brain Surgeon: A Doctor's Inspiring Encounters with Miracles and Mortality
I am reading Sandy Hook: An American Tragedy and the Battle for Truth by Elizabeth Williamson.
Although I am only a quarter through it there is no question that it is required reading on all this.
She does something which journalists completely shy away from and talks to the conspiracy theorists - a lot of them. This paints a terrible picture …
With all the talk about people wishing to upgrade their face masks, I thought I would share the following: I am a physician, and the face mask below is by far the most comfortable N95 mask that I have worn. It is particularly good if you have a slightly larger head/face than most people (like I do). It has a separate fabric section for the nose area as well as the chin area, so you can get a very good fit. This is the only N95 mask I can wear all day long without feeling miserable.
It depends on what you are getting and where. For instance, this set from amazon is almost $1,000, but a comparable Z series set is about a third of the price, with a finer ratcheting mechanism and the sockets are lower profile. The regular set is even cheaper. Sure, a single ratchet or bit wont be a quarter the price, but the sets are.
It's also worth noting that Koken specializes in ratchets and bits. They don't make such a wide assortment of tools like Snap-on does. No pliers, jacks, wrenches, etc.
What stood out to me was at 5:10 when it compares news sources trusted by at least 40% of Republicans and Democrats. Democrats trust a wide variety, but Republicans trust Fox News.
This is like an information desert. Imagine, for a second, you don't know anyone who is worried about covid, you consider yourself to be healthy, you consider health to be your own responsibility, and the news you watch on TV are saying this is no big deal. I think it's easy to see why people might be taking this pandemic really lightly.
I moved from a super conservative state to a super liberal state. When I talk to my friends in the conservative state, even they sometimes fall for misinformation because it is literally everywhere around them. We're not designed to spot lies, we kinda just believe what people tell us.
I think this is for those times where you sacrificed two extension cords to make leads to stuff, but realized you only used the female sides for both leads lol

The "prayer warriors" are a recent innovation, dating back to around 1992. They seem to come out of the evangelical "Christian" movement. Basically, "prayer warriors" believe that by saying certain prayers in a certain order over a certain period of time they can compel God to grant their wishes.
This is heretical, it is magic rather than religion, how are they to escape the judgement of hell? But that's what it's all about.

I use an app called Embiggen, fortunately I didn't have to use it for anything mask-related but it's useful in loud clubs when I don't feel like shouting or pantomiming my order.

For the possible COVID - see if you can get Vicks Nasal Spray. A bottle lasts forever and it's designed to prevent/shorten colds (which are sometimes coronaviruses)
To be clear: It's not a cure, but as long as your case is mild, it might help or at least treat your stuffy nose. My stance: it's just nasal spray - may as well give it a try.
Also
The KN95 masks you ordered - do they have ear loops or headbands?
The ear loop ones don't properly seal, so they aren't NIOSH compliant. The ones that wrap around the back of the head are the legit ones.
I always suggest getting 3M's 1860 N95 mask specifically because:
I'm not knocking your mask choice, just offering suggestions if you can afford to get another box. Dunno how being in Oz affects price and availability.
Stay safe and get well soon!

Actual Christianity isn't like that tho. If the trump era has taught me anything, it's that the sin of white supremacy is alive and well in the evangelical church. (Some great stuff has been written in the past few yrs addressing this. If you're interested in a starting point, I rec Unholy, by Sarah Posner). True Christ like Christianity understands and accepts that science is of God. This perversion of faith that we see in the Jerry Falwells and Robert Jeffress types...the racism, the supremacy, the blasphemy is downright mind-boggling. I mean, (respectfully), look at why the Southern Convention of the Baptist denomination was even formed...that alone speaks volumes. I always say that the one good thing that came from the maga era was that these false teachers outed themselves, which is fantastic bc it tells us who to stay away from. Sadly lost in the shuffle tho, are the resistance denominations (United Methodists/Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)/ United Church of Christ, to name a few, who are out there doing the work but rarely ever getting the shine. It's mostly the mainline protestant denominations (IIRC, there are seven). They're the direct antithesis to the magaverse fundie/evangelical churches.
At height, certainly, although that is a small part of the country. At sea level there is currently no snow anywhere in the UK.
There are (almost) perennial snow patches, but they are tiny.
I can't vouch for this service, but they do say they offer the transfer service between Spotify and pandora. https://soundiiz.com/tutorial/spotify-to-pandora
As for Tidal, I've only heard good things about them. Supposedly they have the best sound quality and pay their artists the best. I was looking at them too (because I don't intend to stay with Amazon, it was just already there so the quickest solution to make that point to Spotify in a timely fashion)
You're very fortunate that they both listened to you and you were able to have that influence in their lives. This jives with a book I've been reading that goes into research on loneliness; people will go along with all sorts of nonsense to simply not be alone, to be part of a group, accepted.
Unfortunately, the anti-vaxxers in my life are not so easily persuaded. I keep trying, I don't give up. I worry about them. But in all of their cases, it's all connected with church-based beliefs and friendships. How did you get your dad and grandpa to get out among other groups of people with different outlooks on life? That would be a useful thing to share.
I prefer the tissue adhesive that's actually designed for this: https://www.amazon.com/3M-Vetbond-Tissue-Adhesive-Bottle/dp/B016YEXIAY
I knew I was on to something!;!! We think Omicron got into the house. A not yet boosted adult brought it home from the office. The only one that got it was the not yet boosted teenager. The other boosted members of the household didn't get it. However, our cats did. They kept sneezing and you could tell if their throats were hurting because they wouldn't eat dry food and really struggled. found this and it worked tremendously. I kept joking that I was going to market it for the anti-vaxxers.
Looks like I was right!
You think everyone wears seatbelts? You hang out with the right kind of people.
Here's a group trying to overturn seatbelt laws in the UK. It looks like their US sister organization The Safety Choice Coalition is no longer running a website, so some good news there:
http://www.againstseatbeltcompulsion.org/
Do you ever want to drive without a seatbelt but hate that your seatbelt alarm dings at you throughout the trip? Order a seatbelt clip at Amazon. Or buckle up, it's easier:
Totally agree! 100%!
The thing I love about this podcast and Misha Glouberman's work is that they provide to us laypeople knowledge and skills that we can use to be more effective.
Case in point, David McRaney's podcast has been part of his ongoing research that will form the basis of his upcoming book How Minds Change. And based on the subjects covered thus far, I think it will equip me with a skillset that will make me more effective when I do want effect change.
On Project 100,000, which came up yesterday … I am reading the definitive book on this (disgraceful) episode and the parallels with the HCA awardees are just terrifying. The two big points are:
There is clearly much mental illness, as well as sheer lack of intelligence, in nominees and awardees. Yet mental illness is literally never mentioned - not once in my experience - in slide sets.
Nobody in power is doing anything about the horrific deaths noted here because they don’t care and, quite possibly, despise those dying. Just about anyone with any political power got out of war in Vietnam; now, just about anyone with any political power has had three vaccinations.
Great on the vaccine. I once (due to recreational drug use and a traumatic event followed by a move and a super stressful job) suffered from waves of panic attacks, drug flashbacks, agoraphobia, waves of depression and the ever scary: derealization. I had some bad therapists and medications did nothing but give me psychedelic dreams (which were cool in hindsight, but not helpful at the time.
I started doing cognitive therapy on my self (reading and really practicing it) and reading this book: https://www.amazon.com/Panic-Attack-Recovery-Book-Agoraphobic/dp/0451162285 and actually calling the author and talking. I then did my own graded exposure ... moving way faster than recommended, but it was OK as I was doing it. It's easy to say, but I lost my fear of fear. That is, I just experienced fear as a kind of observed state and trained myself to relax and just let it wash over me as an observation. After a few of those including in fast rush hour traffic where I just kept driving, the panic lost its hold over me. I then had a series of extremely weird dreams where Satan was trying to get me and then he did get me, and in the dream, I just did the same thing: stood there, relaxed and faced him down in a dream panic attack. I rapidly recovered after that, though the derealisation events continued for another year, but I became really chill with it, and so they evaporated until they just stopped. I've had several randomly, and several panic attacks over the years, but they just fizzle because I just don't give a damn anymore.
I did the same for my former fear of heights, getting mostly over that -- can sit on a chair lift with no bar no problem, hike some nasty trails. This recovery was 25 years ago. I wish the same for you -- it really can be done.
I got my mam a kids' KF94, sadly out of stock now, but she has a tiny head. It came with these really nifty adjustable earloops where you can shorten them or hook them together in different ways to make it work. Finally a fit for her tiny head. Wasn't anything fancy, just from a Korean supermarket for her to try out and yep.
I went looking for them, couldn't find the same ones but I did find kids' KF94s but they're printed with astronaut dinosaurs, which is 100% my type of mask. Sadly unavailable in grown up with giant head size for me :(
Just something to consider I guess.
> William F Buckley is someone I've often wished was still here to tell the truth about dump.
I wouldn't count on it. The man was an unrepentant mcarthyite until his death. He literally wrote a book of Joe McCarthy fanfic. And not during McCarthy's hey-day, in 1999. Someone who idolized Joe "have you no decency" McCarthy has a good chance of going full maga too.
I am currently living with two people that shed like retrievers. We have a shower I couldn't figure out how to take the drain out of and I have done many others lots of times. I bought one of these and it actually works, saves a lot of work. Sorry for the CDN link, I'm sure you can find at any home improvement story.
Gaiters don’t give you a lot of protection.
I layer a gaiter over my KN95. The KN95 makes a space bubble that a loose gaiter doesn’t crush.
They still make fake seat belt buckles so you can drive around without your belt on and stop the car from alerting you. You can buy them on Amazon even.
As you can see from this example , it's the same demographic.
Does SayWeee.com deliver there?
Someone on Slickdeals posted the fact that amazon said they were selling 50 KN95 masks for $24 here which is less than most KN95s are going for on Amazon. But other people mentioned it wouldn't let them check out because it said it wouldn't deliver to their location. I tried and got the same thing.
Someone else pointed out SayWeee.com had the same masks for half that price. I ordered 2 boxes (max 2) and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow.
If they do come in and you still wind up needing some, hit me up and I can probably see if I can mail you 7 (so you can cycle them one for each day; the virus shouldn't last more than 6 days on a surface).
I had to go look for one. So many color options!
And, uh, if you need a Spatula City t-shirt, I gotcha covered. That's all we sell.
I have a friend who's down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories. We had a good heart to heart and I saw a glimmer that she was open to a voice of reason. Basically I agreed to watch this video and she said she's open to information that is correct and will discredit it....possibly saving her life. Only trouble is I'm no expert either, I just believe experts. Anyone got some spare time and want to help me debunk this video? I did immediately bring up concerns about the AAPS of course.

Hide a pihole on their network (can be on wifi) and set it as their local DNS server. Add the usual ad and malware blocking lists but also be sure to include one of Steven Black's lists. The one that blocks "fakenews + gambling + social" would be good. Kills everything from the wild & crazy fake news sites through to just-plain-crazy fox news, kills facebook and other social media. They'll go through withdrawal of course but after a good period of detox maybe they'll find some balance?
It’s awful and I’m trying not to think about what might happen. I’ve found heat to be by far the most soothing thing. I’ve bought one of these and one of these. I do use a heat lotion and biofreeze. I was taking naproxen, but I had 2 really bad stomach upsets, so I can’t take any anti inflammatories now. There’s other things we can try, but I’m waiting for now as the pain is currently manageable. No surgeries yet, but it’s almost certainly something I’ll have to have.
Yes! I learned of that memo when it was highlighted in a book called It’s Even Worse Than it Looks, which provides an excellent history of the rise of polarization in modern America. Basically starts with an ambitious Newt Gingrich and goes from there. Highly recommended.
The coauthors are prominent political historians, and also authors of this extremely prescient 2012 op-ed, which got quite a bit of press upon release because it was the first publication by mainstream nonpartisans in a mainstream news outlet pointing the finger at one side for the then-fresh insanity.

Fuck 'em.
This is the one I have, not cheap but the gold on the pages makes it worthwhile. There are other versions, usually separate books and you can find "Young Zaphod plays it safe" on the web as a pdf
Another of my favorite authors- i got sucked into back in the late 80's when he hadn't hit the "Pratchett Point" yet (when you make more money doing your hobby than your real job) and his books were hard to find in the US. They are a few discworld movies out there as well (and not that utter shit the BBC tried to pass off as the City Watch). The Hogfather (very fitting for today) and Going Postal were both made into movies for SKY and are rather good for "made for tv"
I wear glasses and found the 3M Aura N95 (flat fold) to be amazingly comfortable:
Didn't check how I was sounding through it, but liked the fit and comfort. And also got a good face seal which is critical - lots of sloppy mask wearing out there.
The ability to lie is amazing. Reading the book One by One by One which is about the collective memory of the Holocaust is a eye opening experience.

I use oxtail and a whole chicken but add chicken bouillon later at the end.
I also use this packet but I toast it’s contents prior to tying it up into the bag and dropping it in.

Ginger nut biscuits are pure crunchy nectar. The saddest, lowest of lows can be cured by its sweet fiery snap when plonked next to a cup of Lady Grey tea. If you love ginger (and everyone does, despite the gingerphobia), please try them.
And apparently you can! Everything came up all dollars so I assume this is the Freedom version: https://www.amazon.com/Mcvities-Ginger-Nut-250g-Pack/dp/B007ZRLMXK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=10CN13ODVA1SU&keywords=ginger+nuts+biscuits&qid=1639814641&sprefix=ginger+nut%2Caps%2C227&sr=8-1
I use a normal Amazon mouse but with the sensitivity turn up and a wrist brace. I then lay my arm on the desk on a comfortable way.
That way I'm not dragging it any place. Small little twitches send it to this screen or another screen.
It takes getting used to, however.
On my laptop, I use a ball mouse. They are SUPER comfortable in a space where I can't sprawl out. Once again, I recommend a high mouse setting, if you can get used to it. The less muscle twitches the better!
There are pads that you put in your underwear that filters out the scent of farts.
Ironically, they use similar technology to masks.
This rather unpromising-looking cloth works.
Alternatively, use FFP2 (N95, KN95) or KN94 masks. They have a tighter fit than cloth or surgical masks and a metal strip over the bridge of the nose which can be bent to further improve the fit.
You have to do the right things and make the most of the situation with Covid. I got my shots, including my booster. I still wear my mask. We social distance. And despite being thrice-vaxxed, we avoid situations where we can pick up the virus and spread it to others who may be more vulnerable than we are.
As for the isolation, we did what we could to make the most of a bad situation. I myself pursued a life long dream to write a book and this year published my first trilogy (and the reviews have been great!) There's still a lot to be angry about, but man, you got to let it roll off and do everything possible to turn things to your advantage! Take care of you and yours, do the responsible thing, provide aid, guidance and comfort to those who will accept it, and distance yourself from people (like those we so often see in this subreddit) who are working so hard on the side of the virus.
My grandma needed on in her last few years. 2 people couldn't fucking move her and I'm pretty sure she was under 200lbs.

This one has a scale too. I would have liked that. 😆
I don't have much of an entertaining story. A woman I know is terrified of owls and can't even look at photos of them because they're 'aliens from outer space spying on us.' I think she was influenced by a program she saw on television based on/around this book. I've known her for years and as she's fallen down the conspiracy rabbit hole, her beliefs have gotten stranger and stranger. She also saw the 'aquatic apes' mockumentary on the discovery or history channel and now fully believes in that, too. 'They have video!' she insists, 'just watch it!' It's hard to maintain relationships when you don't share the same reality anymore.
Because they’re getting the kind from tractor supply that comes in a tube like toothpaste. It’s just...insanity honestly lol.

It's a shorter list of ingredients than you'd find on a frozen TV dinner.

Ingredients Pfizer Vaccine (COMIRNATY)
Nucleoside-modified mRNA encoding the viral spike (S) glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2
2[(polyethylene glycol (PEG))-2000]-N,N-ditetradecylacetamide
1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine
Cholesterol (plant derived)
((4-hydroxybutyl)azanediyl)bis(hexane-6,1-diyl)bis(2-hexyldecanoate)
Dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate
Monobasic potassium phosphate
Potassium chloride (common food salt)
Sodium chloride (basic table salt)
Sucrose (basic table sugar)
The only long chemical names are really the fats that make the little bubbles that carry the mRNA into cells in Section 2.
PEG. You'd probably absorb 100x more PEG through your skin from the gel they rub on you when you get an ultrasound than is contained in the shot.
1,2-disteroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine a phospholipid similar to the ones in cell membranes.
Cholesterol is waxy so it tends to stiffen and make the fat endosome more rigid and sturdy.
The salts in Section 3 are to create a buffer close to physiological conditions. Those are are the ingredients of Phosphate Buffered Saline solution (PBS).
Thanks. Kind of you to say so.
>eta, I've read your link to Avalon Brantley, what a big heart and intellect and feeling soul. Thanks again.
...Right? It's hard enough to find her stories as they're scattered among the limited numbered runs of 8+ small publishers, but I was sad and a little angry to learn the Zagava paperbacks were pulled, because I'd been recommending them to people for a while and now the last of this material's inaccessible.
The 'look inside' excerpt for one of her titles is still available on its Amazon page (for her one-act Greek play Aornos) that hopefully can give some idea of her skills. But as of now the only print versions I'm aware of are a hardback through Zagava, and a single story in Snuggly Press' paperback anthology Drowning in Beauty.
Clearly, those anti-fart underwear filter manufacturers need to hire a better advertising department.
Hell, you can get them via subscription on amazon prime.
A lot of them work on similar technology to masks, too.
Yael drove it through siseras head because he was a rapist. We don't exactly know when she decided to do it but siseras mother is fully on board with him "collecting" Israelite women according to the happy song they sing afterwards

I went through a pagan phase in college until I took am academic Bible class. Sex, existentialism, poetry, etc. It turned out to be a much better book than I had previously thought.
Also a lot more butt humor than I expected.
Ended up converting to Judaism.

“Doctor Max Jacobson, whom the Secret Service under President John F. Kennedy code-named “Dr. Feelgood,” developed a unique “energy formula” that altered the paths of some of the twentieth century’s most iconic figures, including President and Jackie Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis. JFK received his first injection (a special mix of “vitamins and hormones,” according to Jacobson) just before his first debate with Vice President Richard Nixon. The shot into JFK’s throat not only cured his laryngitis, but also diminished the pain in his back, allowed him to stand up straighter, and invigorated the tired candidate. Kennedy demolished Nixon in that first debate and turned a tide of skepticism about Kennedy into an audience that appreciated his energy and crispness. What JFK didn’t know then was that the injections were actually powerful doses of a combination of highly addictive liquid methamphetamine and steroids.”
“Jacobson destroyed the lives of several famous patients in the entertainment industry and accidentally killed his own wife, Nina, with an overdose of his formula.”

And Mark Noll wrote about it in 1995 in The Scandal of the Evangelical Mind- he couldn't have imagined how much worse it would get.
Here’s an amazing book on the subject by a prominent economist and social observer:
https://www.amazon.com/Black-Rednecks-Liberals-Thomas-Sowell/dp/1594031436
A redditor turned me onto this book when i saw that they were agreeing with me that biological racism is ridiculous (white skin is a race? Black skin is a race? What about thin eyebrows—why isn’t that a race too?) but they felt that people in “the black community” in America have been subjected to cultural influences that have definitely shaped behavior and thus outcomes.
This book is a hell of a read, and I challenge anyone to read it and emerge with any respect for the concept of biological racism. That said, Sowell is pretty conservative as an economist and I don’t share his scorn for most Keynesian interventions.
