For starters, I can't use the same one in every city I go to. New York has its own (though it's hardly needed, since you can just hail them from the street), for instance. I don't want to have to do research ahead of time to figure out wtf taxi app I need in a particular city. (Oh, and whether it's on Android and not just iOS.)
Secondly, in Uber I can just put my destination in the app itself. They don't all support that, which leads to me trying to explain to some driver with an accent I can't understand (who often can't understand my accent) where I am trying to go. Whenever I take a taxi (when I visit NYC or DC) I generally find myself giving up, typing my destination into Embiggen, and holding it up to the window. In Uber? I already put my destination in. I get in the car and go. The Uber interface is damn near perfect ever since they added that capability.
I realize Uber's done some sketchy business tactics at the top level, but they're also having to compete against taxi monopolists that held back city transportation for decades and are trying to outlaw Uber entirely in order to maintain their monopoly, so my opinion of "playing by the rules" went to zero, because I do not give the tiniest bit of a fuck about the taxi companies.
Not totally unknown, but whenever I use Embiggen or Google Translate in front of other people, they almost always ask for the name of the app.
Embiggen makes any text that you type fill the entire screen. You find many uses for it after you install it.
Google Translate allows you to point your camera at text in a foreign language and have the text translated in real time on your screen. I use it when I see something I don't recognize on a restaurant menu and when I travel.

great for line of sight and silent communications. Use it in the pub or in meetings or with your partner to talk around the kids without them noticing...
Since you'll be mute, you may want to use this app which allows you to type phrases. You can also type out Korean if you have a Korean keyboard.
Embiggen. A must have in a loud place.

I have this app on my phone, that's the only time I use it. One of the bars/concert venues in my city has the bar maybe 20 feet from the speakers. The bartenders there have appreciated it. I have the app pulled up and at my side, if they can't hear me after I say my order I show them. I also only order PBR or High Life there.
edit I'm also a barista and used the app today to communicate with a deaf couple. That one use made it worth having installed.
It's a fantastic app that has actually gotten me laid at a loud, crowded bar. "You in the shirt, can I buy you a drink at the back bar?"
You type words and the app just makes them as big as they can possibly fit on the screen.
Use it to send covert silent messages to friends at parties or passive agressive notes through carwindows directed at assholes in traffic, communicate with the bartender in noisy pubs or many other uses.
Embiggen writes large text. No tabs or read aloud. Maybe you can use the text to speech accessibility with the app to read it aloud.

I use an app called Embiggen, fortunately I didn't have to use it for anything mask-related but it's useful in loud clubs when I don't feel like shouting or pantomiming my order.

Embiggen. Lesser known app that simply takes words or sentences, and displays them in large white text on black background.
Great for communicating in a noisy bar, or making snide comments behind someone's back, or for hurling expletives at bad drivers, etc..
I'm sure I'll need it some day....ok, at least I hope I will.
Basically makes huge words or sentences, easy to read from 20 feet or more.
Embiggen is perfect for what you've described.

You could use Embiggen, which lets you fill the screen with any text.
I use this app for that, works way better than you'd think: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.briercan.embiggen&hl=en_US&gl=US
Old app that does something similar: Embiggen
when talking to friends in loud bar (not the bartender) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.briercan.embiggen
At some bars I have to use an app like Embiggen to order drinks (or communicate at all). Seriously shitty.
Embiggen might be a helpful app.
Was this the app?
this exists already https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.briercan.embiggen but yours does emojis
