Mobile games would be my first guess. The Room was basically nonfunctional on the X Pure until the devs pushed out an update, but my Galaxy S6 handled it just fine. I also play MARVEL Future Fight and the 808 occasionally gets overwhelmed when there's too much action on screen.

If you like lifelike graphics, realistic sounds, great physics gameplay, mystery, and solving puzzles, get The Room. It's fantastic.
The Room and its two sequels are excellent if you like puzzles or escape games. They are definitely best in class.
Not sure how challenging you'll find it, but there's a series of puzzle games called the room that I've found to be very worth their price. Fun little puzzle games.
So I'll immediately deviate from your criteria by suggesting a non-free game. But it costs about $1, and is to date the only game I've played where the tablet feels like exactly the right interface for the gameplay. It won loads of awards and I think it's phenomenal.
The Room. It's a moody puzzle-box solving game, and made to be very "hands-on" and tactile. Check it out. There are now two sequels as well.
Have you ever heard of "The Room" or one of its successors? If not, I'd urge you to try the first one, if you don't mind paying for quality.

So your basically asking for an easy puzzle game? Give The Room series a try. Cant do anything except the next part of the solution. Its exactly what your looking for.
Super fucking polished puzzle game. The whole journey gives a lot of pleasant problems to solve. I say problems because you don't get the puzzle spoonfed to you. You need to explore the thing in front of you and remember to go back to X spot you saw something at. (or go hunting for that thing) Everything is solved with a logical progression.
Nothing overly complicated. Great hint system. Interesting story telling if that's your thing. Satisfying to solve and hard to put down. I ran through the whole game again to check and it still took me an hour and 5 minutes. There's that much to do. Even better: this is only part one.
The game is split into chapters, 1 big puzzle room per chapter and 5 total. You can pause it at any time and leave the app to return later.
Try The Room. It's a fun little 3D puzzle solving game. If you like that one the second and third games are pretty good too. The puzzles can be complicated, but they are simple enough that you make enough progress for the game to feel rewarding.
>/u/goin_nil I knew I should have edited that halfway into typing it.
>I like sim games,
Well, I never got into Sim games so can't help you here. And I don't really think there are any in the store yet.
>elder scrolls games,
Sorry, never heard if that. What's it like?
> the room looks tempting as I liked that genre.
I don't see any game in the store called, "the room". Do you mean "The Room" as in this game? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.FireproofStudios.TheRoom
If so, Dead Secret is probably the closest to that type of game, "walk around, discover things, figure out puzzles, etc"
If not, please explain. Also, I have a Note 4 so there are some games/apps I can't see.
>FPS makes me dizzy and sick.
Too bad. VR is really great for this.
But, You might like Bandit Six. You don't move/walk around. You are in a slow flying WWII plane and other planes come at you.
I agree, it's a beautiful game!
I highly suggest checking out The Room and The Room Two.
You're all shut in a room with a variety of puzzles and clues - things like locked drawers, locked briefcases, etc - and the aim of the game is to find the clues, solve them, then figure out which clues are for which lock. You will then find more puzzles and clues inside these locked boxes, some of which will feed into each other, and most of which will feed into one bigger puzzle - eg there might be a door with 3 locks on, and each lock has a key (or combination code) hidden behind its own puzzle.
There will usually be some sort of overarching theme to the room. I have played an escape room where it was the office of a disappeared scientist, and we had to find the hidden sample and the deduce where he had disappeared to.
The real trick to figuring out an escape room is avoiding tunnel vision - you'll have different people trying to puzzle out different clues, and it's very easy (deliberately so!) to focus too much on what's in front of you and lose sight of how everything fits together. So a very valid role to play is being everyone's helper rather than trying to figure shit out alone.
Top tip: escape room creators love combination locks - so if you have a lock with a 4-digit code then you know you're looking for a puzzle that will output 4 digits, such as a date. Likewise if you have a briefcase locked with two 3-digit padlocks then you need 6 digits.
Have you ever played the old Android game The Room? That's a pretty good escape room. Also if you can pick up any episode of The Crystal Maze (old UK TV show) that's a game show with a series of fast-paced single person escape rooms.

There's a games called "The room", three games actually, from a developer called "Fireproof games" (there are many rip offs), I only played a part of one of them (can't remember which one), it was great, challenging, and much longer than nobodies, I think it had a deeper story too.
Keep in mind that it's paid, but the first game is about 1 USD now, itwas out a rather long time ago.
There's also a developer called "rusty lake", they have about 10 games with similar style, most are free.
I liked the Room (1, 2, and 3) a lot! they're not free, but were really well done similar games. (I actually preferred them to the Rusty Lake/Cube Escape series).
Edit: here's the link to the first one on the play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.FireproofStudios.TheRoom&hl=en
Edit 2: I also went through my history, Monument Valley was an awesome game too!! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ustwo.monumentvalley&hl=en
There's still a possibility albeit a small one. Unless it reaches a million downloads, most cheap/free apps will still be listed as 500,000 to 1,000,000 installs on the Play Store (same boat as OP).
It all depends on the price and the kind of app it is. The Room for example has an install base of 1 million - 5 million, most likely due to the cheaper price.
Besides, I was asking if the second most popular one was the paid one - as that could be a possible reason for why it didn't have as much installs.
if you like puzzles, The Room and The Room 2 are really good

Very addictive and complex
The Room (Giant Bomb'n Quick Look)
Ykkönen ja kakkonen on myös PC:llä, kolmonen vain mobiililaitteilla. Kolmonen toimi hyvin esim. omalla vähän vanhemmalla Nexus 5:llä, mutta akkua meni aika reippaasti.

Returner77 - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.FantasticYes.Returner77
RealMyst - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.noodlecake.realmyst
I'm looking for stuff like the Room series, House of Davinci, and Hellraid.
As well as good puzzles, I'm looking for excellent graphics - these set the bar by which all others are measured.
I prefer the first person style too.
Long time Note user here. The phone sees pen and touch as two independent inputs. It disables touch input when it detects the pen to prevent accidental input if you're writing or drawing, but depending on the app you're using, you may be able to use both at the same time, but it won't register as a multi-touch gesture like pinch to zoom.
Also, some games will also disable pen input. The Room series of games does this, the dev's reasoning being that the game relies heavily on multi-touch gestures, and it might stump a player using a stylus. I still highly recommend those three games though if you're a fan of puzzle or escape room style games. They are paid, but they're worth it.
I'd also suggest Dark Fear. It's an RPG/puzzle/adventure game. You can use your pen for everything and personally, I think it makes it a bit easier, as fights and hunting is based on a timer where you tap the screen. It's also paid, but again, it's worth it.
Another game where you can use your pen for everything is OpenTyrian. Tyrian is a top-down rail shooter from the DOS era, ported to run on Android. The s-pen makes the game a heck of a lot easier to play, because your vision of the screen isn't obscured by your finger. This game is actually free!
I can't vouch for how well these games work as "small breaks" games, just that I know that they're enjoyable games:
Here's the first one on Steam. http://store.steampowered.com/app/288160/
Google Play. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.FireproofStudios.TheRoom
iOS. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-room/id552039496?mt=8
Go to the developer page on the respective platforms to see the other games.
Puzzle, the three Room games. You can take as long figuring things out as you want. Premium, no ads, no IAP. There is story, but each game plays fine by itself.
Turn based strategy, Templar Battleforce, has some RPG elements. Premium, no ads, no IAP. One play through of the campaign is a good ten hours or so. Has multiple difficultly modes if you wanted to replay using different classes.
Combination of turn based strategy, deck building, and roguelike elements Guild of Dungeoneering. Premium, no ads, no IAP.
Turn based combat, roguelike with a 3 hero party, Pixel Heroes. Premium, no ads, no IAP. Decently hard.
Turn based combat, roguelike, Pixel Dungeon. Completely free, no ads, IAP is just if you wanted to donate to the dev. Learning curve, hard.
Interactive story game, Sorcery 1-4. The combat is turn based. Premium, no ads, no IAP. Note that this is a four part story, and playing something like just part 1 isn't that long. Being a choose your own adventure type game, you can replay and try a different path for a somewhat different story.
The two Knights of Pen & Paper games. RPG styled, turn based combat. Premium, no ads, IAP if you wanted some extra classes or expansions.
The Room is pretty good, albeit its not really that unknown.

The Room series. Best puzzle games I've played on Android, and ones I've actually been excited enough for to buy on release date (at least, when I knew what the release date was).
These ones?
You've never played the game of escape room? I mean online, like The Room?
I would recommend The Room series. Beautiful and engaging. PUBG is also pretty nice and completely free. Space Marchals is cool too.
That and its sequels, some of the best mobile games I've ever played
If you liked the Monument Valley levels where you were turning the whole level around to look at different sides, you'll probably like The Room, Two, and Three. They are a fantastic series of puzzle games where you examine objects from different sides to solve puzzles and try to escape. The way you move around and figure stuff out I found to be a rather unique experience. Each is a self contained game, but there is a story woven in there if you are interested.
Each is a premium game, no ads, no IAP.
If aren't familiar with interactive story games, they are kind of like the choose your own adventure books. These have a distinct story and ending, but if you wanted to play through again and make different choices, you can get a different experience. 80 days and the four Sorcery games are good examples of this. 80 days is kind of Steampunk / Jules Verne themed and Sorcery is fantasy.
Premium games, no ads, no IAP. Note that Sorcery is like a four part story. So if you just play part one, you might be disappointed as just part one by itself isn't very long.
If you like this kind of stuff, check out The Room 1, 2 and 3 on Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.FireproofStudios.TheRoom&hl=en
