I just went through the same experience. I ended up ripping the subs from my Platinum DVD's. They sync up just fine to the Bluray. I recommend using media player classic to watch the Blu-rays since VLC has such a hard time with importing subtitles. Here are the subs! :)
I haven't ripped the subs for Death & Rebirth nor EoE, yet. I used this program to rip the subs. I'll let you know when I decide to rip them myself.
You can sorta, but torrenting the song is way easier. That way you can also get the full song.
If you really want to, you must get both MKVToolNix and gMKVExtractGUI or its newer version MKVExtractGUI-2.
MKVToolNix is a collection of various tools for .mkv files, but since .webm files are just a "limited version" of .mkv files, it should work just fine. MKVExtractGUI is a GUI for just the extracting part of MKVToolNix.
Once you installed them, download the .webm, open it with MKVExtractGUI, select the audio track and click 'Extract'.
Thanks. I thought there'd be a simple solution but I suppose not. Did some Googling on my own. To be honest, I was embarrassed to have to ask this because I used to make videos myself. Anyway I found a patchwork solution. Extracted the subtitles from the mkv using MKVExtractGUI2 and used the edited .ass file as an external sub.
MKVExtract2.0 can be used to extract the video track from the mkv. This will product a .h264 file.
MP4BoxGUI Will load in the .h264 file and Mux it down to an avi file.
At this point you can use any video editing software you'd like. I use Sony Vegas 10 to cut and splice parts of the video into the segments I like. I then Render that video as an h264 mp4 file which will be loaded into After Effects for editing.
Ehh, you can use MKVExtract, import it, check the .ass or .srt file (whatever it is), then extract it. Make sure you have MKVToolNix in your computer and you extract the contents of the MKVExtract zip file to the installation directory of MKVToolNix. Assuming that Doki releases MKV softsubbed files, which I think is the case IIRC.
MKVExtractGUI2 & YAMB will convert them to MP4's in a short amount of time.
Install MKVToolNix, then MKVExtractGUI2 in the MKVToolNix directory. Then YAMB.
You'll use MKVExtractGUI2 to extract the video and audio tracks from the file and subtitles in they're available. Once extracted open up YAMB, select to create an MP4 file, then you'll be able to add in the Video, Audio and Subtitle tracks. Click next and let YAMB create the MP4 file. This MP4 will be playable in Windows Media Player, on a PS3 and an Xbox 360.
