A gift card to a makeup store could be a good idea. Same goes to accessories or clothing (like pajamas etc), if you aren't sure she'll like the stuff you can get her or don't know the right sizes, give her a gift card so that she could choose something herself.
You can also make a birthday video for her (would be great is you cooperate with other family members) or a video collage with music (songs she likes) and pictures of her through the years. If you email it to her she'll basically start her day with birthday wishes from her family which is nice imo.

Those are some links of reference. You might be able to find some other effects names just by using some video effects software - I used to use Pinnacle and there were a ton of effects names there. Good luck!

tweaking transparency settings in images etc and overlapping also is a good trick... senior people go nuts on overlay effects.

In my opinion, you should tap into another type of content marketing — videos. They're quite popular among younger generations (I mean, look at TikTok) and they're bound to drive more traffic to your website. I read that adding video to your landing page can boost conversion rates by 80%.
I know that some people think videos are expensive to make. But, some brands opt to film them with smartphones, thus decreasing the cost of production. If you want to find out more on why video is important for your business, I recommend reading this.

I read that Twitter, Facebook etc. prioritise video that's uploaded directly to them, rather than linked to on YouTube. The "how-to" of music licensing is a topic that takes more talking about than I can really get into here, but this article should give you a good starting place.
If you plan on finishing the script whether you can produce it or not yourself, I say go for it until the end. In fact, even if you find out that you can't legally move forward on the project for distribution or production or whatever in any way at all, unless you have another project hot on the burner I'd say keep at it just for the practice.
Social networking sites are more focused on interpersonal relationships...so I guess literally "networking". Their primary focus is based on the "user"
While Reddit has things like "user profiles" the emphasis is more based on the news aggregation and discussions more than anything.

For something simple like that you should just look at a service like Biteable https://biteable.com/ that will let you upload your own videos and photos and will basically edit them for you.
That way you don't actually have to learn any software.
That would be the quickest.

I used Biteable to make commercials for a stupid joke project of mine, and 90% of the royalty-free songs are like that :D
It does let you upload your own music files to use though, so I can't blame the site really. Still, had to use one of the royalty-free ones, since I daren't put too much legitimacy in the joke :P
