Servus has been great. International feed for every single session of the weekend. I'm with Private Internet Access instead of NordVPN, but anyone would work really (just make sure they have servers in Austria).
> Qatar is an evening race (because of the heat)
In March it is not hot during the day in Qatar (average daily highs of 76°F to 84°F), so I don't think that is the reason. Also the first night race there wasn't until 2008 whereas they started racing MotoGP at Losail in 2004.
Additionally, there was talk that the crashes in the 2014 race (Lorenzo, Bradl, Smith, Bautista) were because the temperatures were too cold and that they may want to do the 2015 race earlier, and in fact they did move the 2015 race an hour earlier (from 10pm to 9pm).
I was there for the 2014 GP, it was quite cold at night actually so I don't know why they don't have it much earlier in the day as it was far more pleasant in the afternoon.
Thank you for the informative timing table though!
I see your point but it does not stand:
1- Rossi wasn't able to post a good lap in Q2.
2- It is two 15 mins but both of the Qs are stressful and a mistake is costly.
3- Rossi is fine with Q2. It is not that he's purposefully lagging behind in order to have more time on the bike.
Your analysis is fine but economically it is not worthy. Read The Art of War by Sun Tzu.
> if he had the same bike the whole year he would've won the championship and made Rossi his bitch in one of his most competitive seasons
Lol if only you knew what a fact was fraud
You can get BeIn Sports on Sling’s World Sports package for $10/month or less if you want to subscribe annually. Pretty sure it’s the cheapest way to get BeIn in the U.S. if that’s all you want.

Gentlemen...this is the best app to watch everything you want...i use it for watching motogp when i'm not at home...install it and you won't be dissapointed...tell me what you think.. https://www.mobdro.com/
The Sling "World Sports" package is actually cheaper if all you want is BEIN Sports ($10/month)
https://www.sling.com/international-sports
If you want to have access to the BEIN CONNECT channels (i.e. those streaming only on the web site of BEIN Sports), which show the practices, then you could consider FuboTV Latino package for $15/month
If you're in the UK it's up on iPlayer and if you're not pretend like you are. I used the Hola chrome extension to do that.
They streamed the races live and will do that on Saturday as well here https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/northern-ireland/43801720
Otherwise you never get to see road racing in the US at least. The other option is specialty torrent sites.
Bummer dude
I use Private Internet Access, and it works great. Dunno if they have a free trial, but it’s not too expensive at ~$5 USD/month. Other than that, maybe you get a Fire TV, install Kodi, put cCloud TV (or SportsDevil) on Kodi and watch whatever you want — either should be a sufficient workaround.
It was a bit of an hustle to get it working on my Fire TV stick. I sideloaded the App via this app. Then I had the problem, that this app cant be navigated with the normal Fire TV Remote. So I installed this app from the Amazon playstore, because I didnt find a good one on the Google Play store to be able to navigate the app with a mouse cursor...
In my opinion this is just utter bullshit and Dorna really needs to step up their game and release and actual app for FireTV because this is just stupid!
Why yes, there's this one.
And as /u/dialmformostyn said, he's posted a brilliant link for racing calendars that can sync with your google calendar.
Thats not a bad idea, I was hoping for something more like this ones

Check out Rossi's gf's Instagram post from yesterday. I don't even know why I follow her other than the off-chance of a Rossi photo, but it's...ah, nice. And cheeky!
What the hell, here's a link and I would call it NSFW: http://websta.me/p/908975810076389569_12455427 unless you're a model or Valentino.
Exactly, it was hard being a GP fan back then hahaha! I had only one racing memorabilia store that sold the Duke VHS tapes back in the 90's. GIFs are pretty easy to make as it turns out, I just been using VLC player, and this program to screencap then process. PM if you need help, it'd be great to load up this sub with more old footage, seeing as how many people here have never seen the older generations of racing! http://www.cockos.com/licecap/
I have used Video DownloadHelper to download a race but I wasn't able to choose the quality so it was 540p or something.
And it will get throttled. The video will be sent to you at the pace that you would normally watch it at, so it will likely take as long to download as it takes to stream the whole thing.
Try a few different video downloader addons/extensions, see if anything works better for you.
Your other option is Usenet. Races from BT Sport are posted there in HD. I get those for saving. For example, I went to Indy, so I downloaded those races in 1080p. Better commentary too.
If your ISP has a Usenet server, you can try a few NZB indexer sites, download an "nzb" file there, load it up into an nzb downloader, point it at your ISP's usenet server and go at it. If you're new to all this, google for more info, or ask me for help.
Sorry, got it wrong, chassis not suspension. Knew i'd read it somewhere, I'll edit my comment now.

Personally I also really enjoyed reading Never Say Never by Nick Harris.
He tells the story of how he got into motorcycle racing and how he got to be a commentator for the series, as well as covers the full history of MotoGP from its inception.
The gyroscope, accelerometer and GPS data are recorded with an Android phone mounted to the motorcycle. In order to get the video and data to sync, I had to write an app https://play.google.com/store apps/d...goprogps&hl=en in which you set predefined coordinates or speed thresholds where the video and data recording is turned on and off. The app communicates via WiFi and a semi-public API with the camera, so you can sync the two streams of data to within 0.1s.
The post-processing: reading the log files, integrating roll rates into roll angles, determining the semi-stationary states (where the motorcycle is not turning, to compensate for the gyro drift) and finally rotating the video, cropping it so you don't get annoying black corners, calculating and projecting a path on each frame, was all done with a Python script that I wrote and which used OpenCV library for the graphics work. Since OpenCV does not handle audio, ffmpeg was used to multiplex the processed video and the original audio into the final video.
Interestingly enough, by far the largest CPU load comes from encoding the video with ffmpeg. It turns out that all the processing adds only around 10-20% to encoding times. And since the MP4 coder in the GoPro isn't that good, I tend to reencode the videos anyway.
That sounds amazing so are you studying in the US or the UK? Though dribbble is good, it isn't the most constructive place, lots of people just say it looks good and that will be it usually.
The best place to learn tools and programs is online and playing yourself but the more idea based and the method aspects I would say an actual course. If you want to read up on design, a good place is Medium. There are loads of posts by people about their design process.
I've got two invites so i'm more than happy to send you one, Just need your name and email address (send me a DM with it in) Here is my dribbble account: https://dribbble.com/LizHamburger
Also for now i'd ignore everyone going on about branding etc. This isn't a piece that that was designed on a client brief, so no need to get bogged down on the details just yet!

Do you mean those palm protectors? I think they're called palm protection in english but it's just a wild guess. Maybe there's a different term.
I was able to access it from Australia using NordVPN on a Chromecast with Google TV (same as Android TV built into some smart TVs). Select a US server using the Nord VPN app. Then if Amazon Prime Video has been previously opened you may need to go into settings, apps and then select Prime Video and select Force Stop. Then open the Prime video app and you should be able to view it.
These are the steps I took on my android phone: 1. logging out of prime video in a browser 2. establishing the VPN to Spain via NordVPN app 3. logging back in to prime video in the browser 4. Search for MotoGP
I made one for Android :)

In Oli's own words:

> When asked about how limiting it was to race with the front tire allocation available, the Portuguese driver mentions that the tires are chosen by a process of elimination and that may not be the most correct. The rider also clarifies that KTM used the soft tires because they had no other alternative, and that he warned Michelin about the quality of the medium tire.

'Unfortunately, the line is so narrow between having the right tire, the right temperature and delivering the correct performance. To be honest, this is off-putting because the tire allocation here [in Qatar] is chosen by elimination rather than by a choice. It is not a free choice for us to use the soft tire. We used that tire because we can't use another tire. The combination between the casing and the rubber of the medium tire is just wrong and we have been communicating that since we started testing here and, in fact, nobody uses the medium,' said the Portuguese in a debriefing to the journalists present.

Referring to the hard tire, Oliveira points out that both he and the other KTM riders are competitive with that tire on their bikes. He also criticizes the withdrawal of a tire that was the basis for the development of the current RC16 throughout last season:

- So we used the hard tire when it was hot and when we use it we are competitive. (...) We felt that we should have different options available that could work properly after several years of experience that they [Michelin] have. The opposite is happening, we can't spend time developing a bike for six months with a certain type of tire and then have this tire removed from the allocation. We feel that today's result is not the result of any problem on the bike.

>Bad news at home SIC58 Squadra Corse: Tatsuki Suzuki tested positive for Covid-19. "Bitter about this problem" admitted Paolo Simoncelli.
>
>
>
>An ugly tile arrives in the SIC58 Squadra Corse house just before the official Moto3 tests. Tatsuki Suzuki in fact tested positive for Covid-19. Not the best of news for Paolo Simoncelli's team, which confirmed the situation of its leading rider in a note. His condition has to be evaluated, but we must remember that the next tests will take place in a few days, precisely on March 19th. "Another piece of news that my tender age struggled to accept" commented Paolo Simoncelli in this regard.
>
>
>
>As mentioned, the situation now needs to be assessed, with teams moving to Qatar for the official tests that are looming. But Simoncelli tries to keep his spirits up. "We have a fantastic team of mechanics and technicians, ready to work in the silence of the paddock and willing to win. Of course the Suzuki problem has made us a little bitter, but my thoughts go back to 2008, 250cc class, when a rider aiming for the world championship collected two zeros in the first two races, and then made us dream big!"

>-Cal Crutchlow has joined the Yamaha team as a test rider for 2021. Why did you choose him and what is the likelihood that he will compete?
>
>"What was the reason for hiring him and do you think he will ever compete in a race? The reason we signed Cal is that he will be racing until 2020, so he will be able to perform very close to the current riders and we agreed on the mindset for the development work - to make the Yamaha bikes faster and bring the riders closer to victory. This is the reason why we were able to reach an agreement. If we need to, we may race in the context of our development goals, but at the moment that's not a concrete plan and we don't have any specific plans."
>
>
>
>-Finally, what are your expectations and goals for the four riders in the Yamaha team for the 2021 season?
>
>"We are going to win the championship and we are going to do everything we can to support that. To do that, we need the two factory riders to work hard at the front, and the satellites should be able to do the same, so if we get a chance like we did in 2020, we want them to aim for the top positions. We will concentrate on improving the base of our motorcycles to raise the level of Yamaha as a whole. Our goal is to have a situation where the riders are competing against each other as rivals and we are supporting them in their fight for the championship."

>KTM racing boss Pit Beirer considers it a competitive advantage that Stefan Bradl was allowed to race as a Honda test rider in 2020. The Bavarian responds with sensible counterarguments.
>
>In the "Motorcycle Sports Manufacturers Association" (MSMA), the six MotoGP manufacturers Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, KTM and Aprilia are soon to discuss whether the number of GP participations for test riders and substitute riders should be limited. Pit Beirer, motorsport director at KTM, suggested on Friday that test riders such as Stefan Bradl should be allowed to ride a maximum of three to four races per season. After all, the number of wildcard entries allowed for the top teams' test riders is also limited to three.
>
>
>
>As is well known, Bradl replaced Marc Márquez at 12 out of 14 Grand Prix in 2020 and then mixed his activities as a test rider with those as a race rider at the Grand Prix. This winter, too, Bradl (and all other test riders) will not be banned from testing in December and January. In addition, the Bavarian will now complete four or five more days of testing in February in Jerez, while the Sepang test for the regular riders has been canceled.
>
>
>
>And if Márquez - as suspected - will not be fit for action in the first three Grand Prix, Bradl will compete in Qatar with a clear competitive advantage.

The charm of a return to the origins. There is just this in the press release recently issued by MotoAmerica, which confirms the presence of a new category in three stages of the championship that takes the name of Heritage Cup Vintage and will see the start of the bikes that have in fact given rise to SBK in the States.

In fact, SBK bikes built before 1986 will be admitted to the start and according to MotoAmerica, entries are open giving priority to those who want to enter bikes with a racing pedigree. We will also be able to review the legendary maxinaked bikes with which riders of the calibre of Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson, Freddie Spencer and Kevin Schwantz took their first steps in racing.

The races will be held in conjunction with the Open Exhibition and will take place on the three possibly main tracks on the calendar, Road America at Elkhart Lake, the Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca and the International Speedway in its Road Race version, the road version of the famous Indianapolis track.

We'll try to bring some of our racing history to three of our events this season," said Chuck Aksland of MotoAmerica. "The desire to celebrate the tradition of the MotoAmerica series with vintage Superbikes will be exciting and by racing together with the Open we're sure we'll bring great spectacle to our events.

>Alex Marquez joined his brother Marc under the Repsol Honda awning. An opportunity opened up by the retirement of Jorge Lorenzo. Alberto Puig, the director of the official team, gave his version of the facts that led to this family meeting. But the boss of the LCR satellite structure, Lucio Cecchinello, offers another interesting version. Here it is....

Marc Márquez, however, tried a new metal-coloured rear brake lever on the left handlebar inside the longer black clutch lever in Sepang on Friday, which reminded him of a scooter brake lever. Márquez wants to achieve more ground clearance in right corners with the handbrake lever for the right foot. But he called this new version "not yet ideal".
"I tried such a handbrake lever in 2013 in Valencia at the last test of the year at LCR-Honda," Bradl recalls. "It didn't work so well back then. Marc has now had it dismantled for Saturday in Malaysia because he couldn't cope with it. You need a whole winter if you want to continue working with this concept constantly. After so many years, such a handbrake lever means a major change for the driver. That's why we always build the front brake lever immediately from left to right for racing bikes and mountain bikes. It takes some time until you can use this handbrake lever optimally, so that it also has an added value. Because currently the boss on the racetrack is still Márquez when it comes to using the rear brake. He has internalised braking with his right foot."

Over @ r/bengals they run a weekly contest through Typeform. Looks like it would be easy to set up, and the results should be simple enough to sort & report with google docs.
I've heard that if Marquez goes to Honda it'll be with his current team, due to sponsorship "issues". (CatalunyaCaixa his main sponsor, is up for auction this month, having being seized by the Spanish govt.)
If that happens, either Gresini or LCR will lose their satellite bike, due to the four bike rule. That's gonna be painful all round.
If it goes as The Goat predicts, that leaves 2 Tech3 bikes vacant.
That's where I reckon Marquez will end up.
Although I can't see Cal on a Repsol bike going on his current form. He's fast, but too ragged to ride the Honda at the pace required to beat Lorenzo for race distance. IMO :)
I never got this statistic. From this link I see that we have 84.000 currently infected, 2700 dead and 26.000 recovered.
By simplistic math I’d say that 1 out of 10 says goodbye in the end...it is the outcome we should count, no?
Can I just chip in and say there's a really good free and open source tool for Windows called ShareX. I use it for a lot of my videos/gifs. Easy screen-capping with or without audio, save and upload as a video or a gif, etc. Record at different frame rates. Auto upload (if you want) when done and if you have an account on streamable, or imgur or gfycat, etc, etc, you can upload direct to that too. Really handy little tool. It uses ffmpeg without the need to run any command lines, it does it for you. Well worth taking a look at.

My first motorcycle was a 1981 Honda CX500 with an aftermarket throttle lock. While adaptive cruise control would be nice, I use the Go Cruise throttle lock on my Honda Fury and GSXR750 and find it “good enough”. I used one of these on my Concours before I learned of the Go Cruise, and found it very helpful.
So instead of having one woman making one baby in nine months, then if you employ nine women you can make one baby in one month
No, this is an incompressible task.
Furthermore, scaling it doesn't work like that always: we're not always digging trenches where each person can work totally independent of each other with zero need for coordination. It's a complexity thing. There's literally a book called The Mythical Man Month written 45 years ago by Frederick P. Brooks about this common fallacy and how it applies to software development. That book is the source of these ever-golden nuggets of wisdom:
"Adding manpower to a late software project makes it later" (because you add too few resources, and too late)
"Plan to throw one away. You will, anyhow" (read: it's only at the end of the design and implementation you really understand how you should have designed it)
"The second system is the most dangerous system a man ever designs" (generation 2 always gets over-designed and overly complex)
Oh, and lastly: I present you with Amdahl's Law. All parallelization is inherently limited by the part you cannot parallelize (the serial coordination thing. The overhead).
Use a VPN that offers a proxy service via other countries, somewhere like Indonesia and you'll get the subscription a hugely discounted price.
Torguard offers this service, you can use it for 1 month or sometimes they offer a trial.
I prefer the BT sport commentary team and would watch them live if it was available to me but i'm in the US. MotoGP videopass is alright but I find their commentary to be a bit bland and lacking.
I use the MotoCal app on Android and ios for keeping track of practice sessions, qualifying and race dates.
Install ultrasurf and the below app from play store. Turn ultrasurf on and then this app. Scroll to the bottom to select sports. Choose the channel where it is broadcasted. Watch it for free.

Nah... That's for amateurs...
Go hardware mode... Do it for real... This might help...
Don't forget to buy these though... https://www.amazon.com/Original-Highway-Flare-6-Pack-Emergency/dp/B008HBE924
I bought a few when in Italy. They taste great, one of my favorites from Monster. Ended up buying more off Amazon, always keep a couple in the fridge for MotoGP race days!
Stealing Speed is one to consider. While it isn't exactly what you asked for, it is an excellent read. It tells a great story about rival companies quest for each other's technologies as well as some really good details about those technologies.
isn't this his third documentary first: https://www.amazon.co.uk/MotoGP-Marc-Marquez-Beyond-Smiles/dp/B00G9XXJPU

These are far and away my favorite:

They don't block as much noise as some of the disposable ones, are comfortable, have a cord, and let you shout a conversation to the person next to you.
Price range? If he doesn't have a videopass, a subscription would be a great gift (~100 bucks). Do you know which riders he likes? You can get him a giftcard for the VR46 store here: http://www.vr46.it/us_en/gift-card.html. If he lives within range of a track, tickets for next season would be cool. Amazon instant video has the non collector edition for a $0.99 rental or $9.99 purchase at the moment.
The Google translation might be wrong but it looks like Amazon Japan have some in stock for <3500 yen which is under half what the US Amazon store is quoting for them.

USA Resident Here. You can order the DVD from Amazon.co.uk and ship here to the USA. This is what I did. It's Region 2 Locked, so one will have to figure out how to get past that.
I have a 1:12 Ducati Sport Classic on my desk at work. This guy to be exact. What kind is that, how would you rate the build quality?
This will be my last post.
How is that TURN BY TURN TUNING? Read the text. That is data logging and making overall throttle and electronic settings for your bike. You are not tuning your bike for 50% throttle on Turn 1 and 75% on turn 2. The app gives you an overall picture of your inputs on the circuit and makes the data easy to read and interpret so you can adjust your bike's electronic settings.
Your R1M isn't going to miss a turn and screw up the rest of your lap because it thinks its on turn 2 when you are on turn 4.
It even says data logger on the first sentence...and in bold the article you linked.
Here go to the Google App store and look at the actual App.

>Y-TRAC is a log viewer application for viewing vehicle information collected in the CCU
>Find a way to improve your lap time through careful study of the app's features. Circuit racing becomes more and more fun because now you can compare bookmarked data with your competitors.
Data logger.
