Here is the thing that blows my mind....
THEY DON'T EVEN REACH 2000 PEOPLE DAILY!
It makes no sense when they are forcing this in when they can't even maintain anything higher than 1500 people. Even then, PayDay 2 has more per day than KF2 does all week. Do they really want to shoot themselves in the foot?
That's a possibility if there is enough demand for it.
If this went it, it would more than likely be put into the ini (config) file so it doesn't have to be localized and what not.
Update: Issue has been added to Trello board - https://trello.com/b/ZOwMRlcW/killing-floor-2-community-issue-roadmap
Are the Swat and Martial Artist Perks still planned to be completed before release? If not, have they shifted to after release or are they no longer being added entirely?
EDIT I found a link on the forum pointing from here to here that points out that a new perk is in the works. Will still be interesting for them to go over any specifics if possible.
To add to this, there was a summer event this year in addition to adding 8 weekly challenges. In addition, tripwire has a list of content they are working on or plan to work on, which is found here: https://trello.com/b/ZOwMRlcW/killing-floor-2-community-issue-roadmap. Probably the big item they want to add is objective mode, which will add quite of potential for new content like they did with KF1.
Opening ports is necessary for both listen and dedicated. If others can join, your ports are probably opened. That shouldn't be the problem then.
Now, when running any kind of custom content, if there is anything someone joining doesn't have and you don't have a redirect set up, they will proceed to download from your server at 10kb/s. And that's fkn slow. Set up a redirect if you are running anything not vanilla.
It's also player's nature to not join a server with few players. That could be factor.
It's also possible you may get more joining when you set one up during peak hours, such as weekend evening.
Tl;dr: it's probably your lack of redirect coupled with mods.
Edit: here is a very easy way to set up a dedicated kf server:
https://steamdb.info/app/215350/
Sign in, download, configure slightly, and easily run.
The toughest and crucial part is porting forward, but I believe you have to do it for listen servers anyway... It's definitely the easiest way I've found to set up a dedi server. Best wishes!
Weapon FoV Slider
In list: Issues We Have Decided Not to Pursue Further At This Time and Why
Reason: > As our weapons are designed and built around a static weapon FoV which changing could cause severe visual issues we have decided not to make any changes here.
There is a 6-pack option that you can see on SteamDB, but they may or may not put it up for purchase.
6-pack: https://steamdb.info/sub/65647/
Extra copies: https://steamdb.info/sub/65648/
GrantPassesCount
on the extra copies is 5, which means the parent sub is a 6-pack.
Once the update is available, Right click on KF2 in your steam library > Properties > Betas tab > Opt in
EDIT: They've released several updates in the last few days.
I'm expecting it to be VERY soon as there's a new QA build past the press demo on 8/15
This is something that's actually being worked on right now. You can find more stuff that they're working on right here on their trello page.
-Please view the community roadmap here: https://trello.com/c/0YqaR2sS/14-additional-dialog-command-options
-Check out the first lane. There is a card called "Additional Dialog Command Options". Does this encompass what you're looking for? If so, vote for it!
To be honest, I really wish there was campaign type missions revolving around the story. Here's kinda a short overview. But, if you want to know each story behind each Z.E.D then search on the wiki. There really isn't a "clear" story, just small snippets of what has happened.
Edit: I think that KF2 coincides with KF1's story also.
Wanted to leave this here:
If you and anyone else feels like this is something to be desired in the game, feel free to vote it up!
They've already said they're working on new boss(es?) and a ton of new content. They've also said that money is not the issue, but rather the amount of work they can do per day.
Things to look forward to next year:
-new gamemode
-new boss(s?)
-bunch of new weapons
-bunch of new maps
-new zed(s)

Due to the popularity of the Emergency Issue Desert Eagle and being a personal favourite, I decided to make a small set in similar industrial style. The m9 uses some special trickery Ive never did before, I hope you enjoy. Feedback always appreciated!

I think TWI will put in an endless mode at some point based on their roadmap here: https://trello.com/b/ZOwMRlcW/killing-floor-2-community-issue-roadmap. I have a feeling it'll be a while before they implement endless mode. Objective mode hasn't been implemented yet either, and that was in KF1.
It was expected for a while.
But the dropoff hasn't been that strong, I think. Steady 2k>Steady 1.3k. https://steamdb.info/app/1250/graphs/
Looks like just enough players in KF1 hopped over to KF2 just to barely remove it from the top. Killed off is a bit melodramatic I think though.
For me, gameplay comes first, gore second. This is not a gore simulation but it does a pretty good job.
It has been brought up that chopping limbs and the zed stays alive posed gameplay challenges. If the gorefast's bladed arm gets chipped off what does he do? No lower jaw so he can't bite. Kick? And about husk without his husk gun? Scrake with chainsaw? Stalker with no legs? And what eventually considers them being killed? Do they bleed out? Dying after losing an arm... Hmm...
Next challenge is animation. TWI already has 90+ different dying animations that seamlessly blend together rather than resorting to ragdoll and falling limp. Expecting 24x (4!) more based on quantity of appendages is asking too much IMO.
It would be cool and there may be mods for it in the future, but as it stands now, it's following the kf formula which what you're expecting will divert from it quite a bit. TWI updated what they could while keeping the same kf feel.
If they can't meet your ridiculous standards, it might do us all good if you don't buy kf2 and find a studio that can meet them. Good luck.
EDIT: TWI raising hopes
I just tried it out with the 64-bit version of x360ce (an Xbox 360 controller emulator) and my Logitech Dual Action controller. Changed the joystick mapping settings in the emulator configuration and switched the controls sticks with no problem.
The left most icon is what Steam creates if you have it create a shortcut. If you manually point the icon to the killing floor.exe you'll be given the proper resolution. The bonus is that they have a cyan version too.
I made a shortcut with Kuebic's help of the lovely dosh medallion. If you want to use it, you can download the .ico here http://www.filedropper.com/doshquest2
I'm not sure how they could be any more clear without giving away the secrets of their next updates. They've already done a few different live streams in the last 2-3 months telling people what they'll be getting for content this year. You can check out their Trello page which not only lists everything they've finished but also has a list of things to come, (it's not currently up to date with everything they've announced.)
They already know about people's wish for fan favourites to make a return. We'll probably see more characters down the line as we approach next year's seasonal events.
Like others have said, avoid g2a. Worst is that keys come from fraudulent purchases, best is they're flipped (mass buy keys from humble, sell for 2x+). If you just don't want to buy through Steam, Amazon is probably the next safest option. GreenManGaming has been around a long time and has a solid reputation. The thing with external sites is while they can go on sale lower than Steam, they have far fewer sales (just bc Steam has so damn many). If it looks too good... It is.
I wanted to make a couple more traditional skins now, I started with these 2 after Swedish and Belgium color shemes, but im not sure yet with those , tell me what you think: (about 80% done)
Scar: https://hostr.co/file/3pbI20ooD7z1/Scar.jpg

Following would be an american green/brown sheme and after that I dont know yet.
this is a well known issue, as expressed in the "SPX Centerfire sights are off center" post just above yours. Please see TWI's Trello entry "Iron sights may be off centered on several weapons - in list Known Issue List (gathering information and tracking but no action taken yet)" located here here
It's on the Trello board, and under "Known Issue List" which means they're looking into it...if you took a second and read some of those threads you googled, you'd have known this was being worked on.
Yepp, that has been suggested, it's something they are probably gonna prioritize post-release, you can find that and other things on their trello here: https://trello.com/b/ZOwMRlcW/killing-floor-2-community-issue-roadmap
It's on the trello here: https://trello.com/c/2cim5euD/29-additional-client-side-options-requests-gameplay-affecting-camera-shake-and-weapon-fov
Also, glad to have you shitposting with us again friendo
ICYI: Weapon FOV & Ultra-Wide/Multi Monitor confirmed not being officially supported.
It's a shame, but the reasons are legitimate.
TBH I treat it like i treat the EBR, and completely ignore the gun-model when shooting. I mostly hip-fire anyway. While it would be nice if it were accurate when looking through the scope- this is an issue that is already on TWI's Trello as something that needs to be fixed.
You are joking right? How did you managed that?
People've been complaining about long loading times for more than a year now - it's even on the official trello board (they're planning on a solution).
Did you installed it on your SSD? For many people - including myself - the game takes 3-4 minutes to load into the main menu then around 1 min to load into a game.
I dont know myself but use this website
this website helps me as i dont have a great pc myself, you might have to download and install a piece of software just to help it read your pc better, but is can tell you if you can run it at the reccomended specs, as well as the bare minimum specs.
UPDATED V2: Added even more zed spawns. Fixed some dynamic meshes moving around when I didnt want them to (the cart with zombie parts on it). Added volume blockers to help stop zeds getting stuck in washrooms stalls. Few minor pathfinding tweaks. DOWNLOAD @ https://mega.co.nz/#!BMZnVRjS!JrLFVHsUbH45z04j_nBguRE7Y_fydLFN_1PfkIaZ9lc and https://www.mediafire.com/?7k7lfov8nyvdhyw
For 95% of the weapons: aim for the head.
Most of the things you find in guides are what people picked up on as they played, so I'm sure 90% of the things you read you'll figure out yourself pretty soon, especially if you play with other experienced players. Feel free to ask them relevant questions as most people I've played with are happy to help answer with their experience. After all, it is a co-op game :D
As for DLC: the community weapon packs are the only ones that'll have a slight impact on your gameplay. Keep in mind others with the DLC can buy the weapons and drop them for you if you ask nicely.
Everything else is just cosmetics. I'd suggest getting them in a bundle once they go on sale. It often goes for sale 75% off (last time was late march 2015), but currently it's only 50%. But either way, even though you won't get another base game, if you want all the DLC, bundle will save you a ton of money.
For ShadowPlay your card needs to be at least 600 level. I'm not sure how that is for laptops.
Some people like OBS for free, never used it myself.
You can use test map http://www.filedropper.com/kf-testarena (put into killingfloor2\KFGame\BrewedPC\Maps)
Where you can spawn one zed at time. All spawned zeds will be attack.
Additionally you can spawn AI-less zed which will only be standing still.
You can also display any default propery of each class, but it's bit more complicated and require to exploring class names and properties at 1st place. Fo example to draw zed health
or
And a lot more.
Also you can use
instead of displayall. This command will dump info into console log rather that will be rendering it in real time.
To clear all info.
Zeds still teleport. Its just that they don't unless there are 12 or less and stopped sirens from teleporting. They also corrected the zeds spawning in places against its set of rules. So now we have an adjusted system working as intended. https://trello.com/c/t2wURGSZ - the card for teleporting talks about the spawning which they considered bugged.
Nope, there's a fucked up engine bug which causes sensitivity to vary with framerate (higher framerate = lower sens).
This is how you fix it, I have no idea why these still aren't the defaults: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Killing_Floor_2#Mouse_acceleration
You'll have to do this every time your config gets wiped after a game update/DST clock change.
They added a whole lot more content, thats why.
BTW, i recommend using Windows' compression feature on the game files, you save a whole lot of space that way. Up to 17GB of space if using CompactGUI
This might slow down the game loading speed though, especially if your CPU is slow.
There's a link via the widget at the bottom of the article, but I'm not sure it's really "up" yet. The only thing I had that was listed as compatible was a Android x86 VM, so I tried purchasing and having it sent to that, but as soon as I booted it up, the download errored out. Loaded up the Play Store from within the VM, and it told me it was incompatible. ¯\_(ツ)_\/¯
(There's also the fact that it only has "1-5" installs so far.)
https://trello.com/c/0YqaR2sS/14-additional-dialog-command-options
>Players can now choose to bind the existing voice options to individual keys in their key bindings (this was included with the Bulls-Eye update)
Something important of note, TW has no plans to ever support integrated chips as a rendering device. As more updates roll out, you might find your game to either become less and less playable or simply stop working altogether.
There seems to be a mistake in the "fun with numbers" section.
According to steamdb.info KF2 has an average playtime of 16.3h, far from the 75h you claim. That amounts to a total playtime of about 8 million hours instead of 75 million.
KF1 has an average playtime of 43.3h so that is pretty much in line with your infographic. Total playtime based on steamdb is closer to 120 million but 140 is not that far off.
I uploaded the audio so everyone can hear it: Numbers_Station audio file.
The original file name is: 977289369.wem
I also post some of the file details. You can find this txt file in > [...]\steamapps\common\killingfloor2\KFGame\BrewedPC\WwiseAudio\WwiseDefaultBank_ww_ENV_Farmhouse.txt

Czech is also confirmed.
Done I added instrumental version of Death too.
The reason it's in 320 kpbs .mp3 is because I'm ripping from an .ogg, which is compressed anyway, so I thought it was useless to make it uncompressed taking up unnecessary space.
The meta-data will be messed up, like saying it's in the Blues genre, no title, etc (because I'm lazy) but there you are.
Lol, that's not recent anymore. Recently, I like how much more vocal they became. Great moves on their end. Speaking on the crate system, that's a love and hate relationship. Some like it, some don't. Most don't like the timing on when it came out, be most are over it's sting now. We just wanna see this game progress at this point. I do however like being able to purchase items right from the store, like csgo and other games with the steam market. So I do hope to see that. But I doubt that is anything of a priority right now just looking at the roadmap: https://trello.com/b/ZOwMRlcW/killing-floor-2-community-issue-roadmap :)
This is the road map so far for the game, as in things in the works and ideas down the pipe line. Things obviously are subject to change and things will be added to the list as things progress I'm sure.
>Observation: Munk retweeted a pic from someone from PC Gamer https://twitter.com/ELahti/status/580378614534819840
I think you're right about that, they were probably playing Killing floor 2
if you look at the KF2 graphs: https://steamdb.info/app/232090/graphs/
you can see that there was quite a lot of players online monday evening, and this tweet was posted the next day in the morning
The plot thickens...
Steam.db now shows it as simply "Killing Floor 2" and it was updated... 5 hours ago.
Hmmm... PC Gamer article before the weekend (with "exclusive" release date info), or they're under embargo until Early Access launch (soon™) is where I'd put my money.
Thank you, I've got a lot of feedback from friends and yes, you're right guys. ~~I'm setting it to private for now. Tomorrow I'll be back to work on this hat and I hope you will enjoy it better.~~ UPDATED, Thanks.
You can preview the model here : http://www.artstation.com/artwork/dQKLX
What exactly has to be done to make them work client side ? Replace the default UPK in KF2 folder ?
Btw here is my unaccepted MB500 skin for anyone wanting http://www.gamefront.com/files/25375976/WEP_MB500_Resistance_MAT.zip
Rainmeter is a software you can use to customize your desktop. Once you have it installed, you can download skins and widgets to make your desktop look nicer and other things. Here's what my desktop looks like, for example.
Honeycomb is a skin for Rainmeter that uses hexagonal icons that you can click to open an application on your desktop. Basically, fancy shortcuts.
You can download Rainmeter here.
You can also check out the subreddit for more pictures and information: /r/rainmeter.
My Steam Name is Theholypie.
I have a server that I operate (https://www.gametracker.com/server_info/108.61.125.97:7777/) that's always set on Long, difficulty either Hard or Suicidal depending on what the people in the server want, and I run 20+ custom maps on it. Most of the regulars that hop in there have mics.
There should be a plus beside or around the numpad keys, if there isn't you will need to edit the script and change the line
showtogglemenu = *numpad+
to something else. Keep the star in front as it allows you to be holding shift key for a list of other keys check this
Yeah they can be changed or removed in the code
if you want to disable something ie the "Self heal auto switch" find the lines
HealSelf = *q
And
Hotkey, %HealSelf%, HealSelf
and add a ; before it so they become
;HealSelf = *q ;Hotkey, %HealSelf%, HealSelf
If you want to change the hotkey just alter the key at the end
HealSelf = *q
To
HealSelf = *c
Make sure to keep the astrix so it works while holding shift
I changed the script so it has mouse wheel down as the drop key and made the medic weapon switch just the AR and Pistol as that needed a few changes for that to work, if you want to change the key for it same as above but you will also need to find the line
While GetKeyState("LControl","P")
And change the LControl to the key you want the list of keys can be found here
I see. Some other options would be buying the CD version on amazon which includes the mp3 files (or just buy the mp3 version) which you can listen to with a local player on your pc.
Another option would be buying the KF2 deluxe edition upgrade on Steam which includes the soundtrack files to play locally as well. I know that version includes the uncompressed FLAC files (CD quality).

You could also buy the Killing Floor 1 soundtrack somewhere and add that to your playlist for a bit more variety in the same tone.
Cheeesus Lord, that title. Get a hold on yourself.
I would also enjoy something like Transit once in a while. The thing is that linear story missions also lessens the replayability a bit. You can try the contest map When the World burns. It is not polished and the voiceover quite bad but that is as closest as I have ever seen one map coming to story driven maps ^ ^ This one is also nice District-VII_Objective, simpler and no story but solid gameplay.
Well it was you emphasizing on "mods" while that's factually incorrect.
Anyways, context does matter. Mods change the way the game at a given point of time works. Totally random, dumb-down example: your mod adds a goat to the middle of the screen, it works okay for a year. Then TWI decides to implement that officially, so they also add a goat to the middle of the screen. Oops, you have a conflict. You had a mod that changed the way the game works, but the game's behavior changes kinda constantly, so you're at constant risk of having conflicts. They add something new, that you didn't have before.
Maps, on the other hand, don't change behavior at all. You have like 10 maps by default, but with 3rd party maps you can have 11 maps. Or 20. Or 100. It's just more and more of the same thing. There's a fundamental difference between the two.
There is a thing called change management. If you provide a platform for 3rd party creators, you also gotta make sure you don't randomly break legacy stuff. When you have like a thousand 3rd party maps, you can't just allow such things to happen so often. At least post a bulletin about such big, breaking changes. At the very least.
I've been running my KF2 server for about 8 months now. About 10% of the maps are broken in one way or another already. In just 8 months. Do you think that's the proper, sane way to move forward? I, as a system engineer with 7 years of professional experience definitely don't think so. And I'm growing really tired of having to test like 60 maps (and counting) with each and every update and dump the ones that broke because there's like zero chance for the mapper to fix it anytime soon... it's so bad, that I've actually set up a bug tracker just for this coz I just couldn't keep track of all this shit.
This is poor change management on TWI's part, nothing else.
Updates on PS4 are really slow since they have to get through some PS4 update acceptance group orsome.
Find out about issue > Find issue > Fix issue > Let the new update get checked by the PS4 acceptance group (or wait for more fixes and updates to be involved in one sole patch) > Let update get approved or re-do the fixing/chaning and checking stage > Launch patch
I am sure that with all the complaining that some of them already know that the problem exists, has been for longer time than you probably think now.
Why they don't respond? Idk, have they put the issue on the board for updates? If not, you might want to send it in. (Tip, check yourself for updates on it) https://trello.com/b/ZOwMRlcW/killing-floor-2-community-issue-roadmap
Yeah I dunno how it looked, I was just offering a possible explanation as what I mentioned is the cause of many "WTF" moments in online games. It's also possible they were exploiting some bug in the game... If you see it happen again you should save a video of it, maybe the developers would be interested.
There seems to be some issues with the PS4 networking still that they are working on though, or need to continue to work on.
Im not too technical on this subject but considering mechwarrior 5 now you can browse mods and install them automatically,it could be the same for kf2.
https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/product/mechwarrior-5/mods?sortBy=subscribers&sortDir=desc
Use this website. It's not 100% accurate, it said I couldn't run l4d2 on minimum on this laptop when I could but most other games it's been nearly accurate.
its a lot of fun and relatively speaking quite a number of people play it
its more fun online although you can play solo offline

Try going into your sound settings in Windows, finding the mic input, and checking the "Listen to this device" checkbox, and see if you can hear yourself at all.
Safe bet you can't or just barely, and welcome to the wonderful world of crappy Windows drivers for USB mics.
The solution I've found is these two items, <strong>'Equalizer APO'</strong> and the <strong>'Peace Equalizer GUI'</strong> that makes it significantly more user friendly. It lets you amplify your mic via software, as well as a bunch of other neat things. Maybe not studio quality, but significantly better than having to yell into your mic just to be heard.
Hope that helps.
I'd suggest a script to do this. Personally, I'm a big advocate of AutoHotkey.
As a matter of fact, with AHK you can easily bind hiding the window and showing it to a hotkey if you wanted to.
In the example below, Ctrl+F1 would be your hotkey to hide and show KFServer.exe
#SingleInstance, Force Exit
^F1:: toggle := !toggle if (toggle = true) WinShow, ahk_exe KFServer.exe else WinHide, ahk_exe KFServer.exe return
I got some free time right now, I'm bored, and I need the coding practice.
Let me whip up something a little nicer than this for you to try.
You can get AutoHotkey from here.
Edit: Got busy with some housework but just sat down and finished this up.
It's a simple script that will let you hide/show the terminal window.
You can use the predefined Ctrl+F1 hotkey or change it to whatever you want.
You can double click the KF2 icon on the system tray in the bottom right corner.
Or you can click on the tray icon and click "Show/Hide Server Window".
Make sure you set the variables up top. Your server location and any args you want to pass. Like starting level, etc...
I did add a password prompt on server launch so you don't have to store your password in a script that's plain text. Just a small security measure.
The tray icon menu also has an option to launch a server and an option to exit the script.
This is obviously expandable if you wanted to add to it and there are plenty of options. Though you would need to learn AHK's syntax (it's a pretty damn easy language to learn).
The code is fully commented so you know what everything does + helps with learning.
Is There Any Deal? is telling me that I can get 25% off of Killing Floor 2 using a promo code on GMG as opposed to Steam's 20% off; however, the code doesn't seem to be working for me. Am I the only one having this issue?
As a person who frequents both games here's what I think.
If you're missing some really essential DLCs for Payday and aren't too sure about the content for KF2 in it's current state: Buy the Payday DLC you want.
If you're super-hyped for KF2 and wanna play the game as content gets added and bugs get fixed: Buy KF2
A word of note if you're worried about performance; I can run it very smoothly with everything on High using a Intel5 quadcore processor and an old Radeon HD5850 GPU. You can also use this link that the Devs gave out to do a hardware check for the game :Can I run it?
Did it 03-Nov night on nuked. Joined after 1/7, medic, bug and commando. Asked what they wanted me as and they said support. 2 joined (demo and GS) one wave later, and we started in same place each time and then moved in a circle when we had to. 6/7 was hairy when medic died early and we eventually went down to GS and demo with ~30 zeds left. I had a 301, nando had a 501 which helped out the medic.
We were lucky boss wave - we got the abomination, which I happened to last shot.
I don't know why it doesn't work for some. I don't believe I can change it now. Sorry. It's the screenshot of TWI Roadmap in which Zed Teleportation is placed on the first tab (issue resolved - in staging branch).
You can find the TWI roadmap here: https://trello.com/b/ZOwMRlcW/killing-floor-2-community-issue-roadmap
From what I understand, that change occurred to make way for steamCMD-dedicated thingamajig. However, ive stumbled across an even easier way:
https://steamdb.info/app/215350/
You don't even need another account, nor steamCMD. Sign in, choose directory, install, and run. Dedicated server easily put together.
Best wishes!
If you like suicidal difficulty come join us on the Blue (Da Ba Dee) server. It's NY based so you'll get good ping. Admins are usually playing during evening hours and we're starting to get a few regulars that are decent and play often.

For those using the epic version and having troubles finding games. You can still connect and join to games directly. It's just the matchmaking and server browser that are hosed.
If you can find yourself a server ip, just press the ~ key and type in "open ipaddress:port" and you should have no issues connecting. It's how I've gotten friends to join me who just picked the game up for free. You can find some servers by searching places like gametracker.
Mid Europe is still quite strong, depends on how picky you are.
I think the playerbase goes usually from 6k to 10k from event to event, this itme 4,6k. Due to Beta and less exciting content in general (plus bad piblicity) it could be in a dip right now, no idea if it comes back. Having that many people playing after five years is quite good in my opinion.
If you enjoy casually all sorts of weird custom maps on Suicidal/HoE you can drop by at my favourite server. Often full from around 8 to 11 pm (GMT +1). The regulars are nice and cooperative people :)
Okay, did not knew that, thanks for chiming in. There was a time where I was looking through the Server Browser almost daily during peak time and saw no populated deranked server other than CD and Zedternal (central EU).
I am currently not playing much but for the futures sake. Is there somewhere I can see the status of these server? Something like a gametracker entry.
This guy is probably in US (east) or Europe (I think the most populated areas), on second look he even searched for in lobby only games.
Maybe 100 ping is not enough to cover available Australian server considering how big it is? ^ ^ At least Gametracker (which does not have all server listed) shows that there are a few server alive and played frequently. You could try and join some of them directly via IP and see what Ping you are getting, sometimes the Server Browser is weirdly not showing the results properly. You can join by opening the console with F3 and then typing "open" followed by one space character and the ip address (pasting with ctrl+V works).
"Create Game" is not very good. Even in Europe it gives me a good ping only every fifth search and during peak time basically never. There are not many server to take over and thus it often connects to another continent, especially when in your area has a general lack of server.
My server is now ranked in the top 50. I disabled vote kicking. Feel free to play on it to avoid those douchers:

Got a Linux dedicated server running easily using LinuxGSM, a script which installs everything for you.
Workaround for the broken Epic Games version server browser: open the console (press ~) and enter open ServerIP:Port
to connect to your server.
A Windows dedicated server should similarly work: see official guide.
As the others said you should update your server to a newer version of Linux.
But if you want to host a kf2server i recommend https://linuxgsm.com/lgsm/kf2server/
This is a super easy way to install and manage your servers.
You can buy the Deluxe edition of the KF2 and get the 1st one for free! Is currently at 12~ on digital
I want this done with the "Captain Dickhead" voice. The temporary, but now memetic TTS that lead to TF2's "WE ARE IN THE BEAM".
Change the voice to WillFromAfar, type your line, and hit listen.
Well you certainly meet the minimum requirements. Could it be your hard drive is failing, and Killing Floor 2 installs on the bad spot? You could run a long generic test with Seatools and see if it finds anything. You could also test for bad RAM with Memtest, but I doubt that's it.
Download it
https://github.com/ImminentFate/CompactGUI/releases/download/v2.6.2/CompactGUI.exe
run it, select folder

press compress, wait a lot
I use custom desktop logo: http://customdesktoplogo.wikidot.com/
it is just an overlay and it defaults to the center of your resolution. I use the plus-shaped neon green one. It works great in KF2 as it is dead center of the in-game crosshair and when you ADS it is pretty much a perfect fit for where the bullets go.
Yea it looks a bit odd, but thats due to the shape and how the light reacts I think, the yellow is the same for all. Ill do final color tweaks in a second test environment at the end. White looks kinda nice on the vector https://hostr.co/qHxfS3vCUhNo, maybe ill switch the changing colors to the main color instead of secondary so that can change like for the mp5.
Man imgur albums are confusing
Which one you think is the best, and which one the worst ?
Another changing colors example on the MP5: https://hostr.co/file/Fo6zfBdnGzvX/mp5.gif
Im also working on a very special set that is very different from this one, also with a cool new feature, more info soon.
Hey, if you're still having problems, check your epic account connections to see if Killing Floor is listed under apps.
If it's not there, try using a diff computer to start KF2 and it'll open up a webpage asking to connect. Pic
I run my own server it's up 24/7. Custom maps, 12 player survival 10 waves. Suicidal. I've created a pretty fun community and it is growing.
Mutators 12 players/whitelisted Kf1 scoreboard/whitelisted Ranked
Feel free to check it out sometime. West coast server.

Your firewall/antivirus or your router could be the problem.
You can try to connect via console command: For example use this site to find a server https://www.gametracker.com/search/kf2/
Let´s use the reddit server 04 as an example, ip is 162.248.92.214 port 7777.
copy paste the address, open console (~) tilde key US keyboard ,(') UK keyboard, (ö) german keyboard
and then type "open 162.248.92.214"
Worked for me in every Unreal game.
You can find a bunch of servers running this. Search for ones with low ping and try to look for servers with more than 6 players (usually 10, 20 or 40). Just keep in mind that all progress gained on such server is separate from the main game and is tracked exclusively by the server of choice, so if you ever decide to switch to another server running this your progress will start from new.
I personally like this server but I think it's more worth it if you find one that gives you a decent ping, as playing with 300~ ping on these servers really subtracts from the experience a lot.
Naw man, you definitely got into a terrible game. Here's a link to the server that I operate, custom maps and a solid group of regulars who'll help you learn the game just as long as you're willing to learn :P Also, add me on Steam if you'd like and I'll play with ya. Steam: Riveris.
1 Zeds gain a tiny bit of HP as you progress in difficulty. However aside from the Scrake (Chainsaw) Fleshpound (Roid-rage glowing guy) and Hans (Boss) the gain is negligible and might amount to one extra headshot required to kill, if that.
Also, I'd avoid playing Short games if I were you. They're so short that you really don't have time to upgrade to decent weapons before the big guys start coming at you.
2 This is a bit difficult to give a one-size-fits-all answer for, since there are so many variables that can go into it. See the end of the post.
3 This will be different for every team, but personally I like running with two medics, one commando, and three supports.
If you'd like, I'd be more than willing to help you learn the ropes of the game. I have a server that I try to play on fairly regularly that you'd be welcome to join. It's set to Hard difficulty, but if you play Payday 2 on Overkill I'm sure you'll feel right at home on Hard once you get someone to help you learn the intricacies of the game.

Hi - I'm the creator of the app Alerts for Reddit, and it's just for things like this! It sends notifications for whatever subreddits you want, so you don't have to check a sub over and over again to see hot posts. Check it out if you're interested :) (iOS link, Android link)
i have two geforce 960 ftws by evga in sli, and yes i updated my drivers just before the game the op footage was taken from
Cool. I actually had a similiar problem myself.
My ping ( <75ms) and up/down speeds (>30Mbps) were great but i would still lag warp around the map as would the monsters making headshots a bit of trouble. Even doing some packet loss testing ( <1%) seemed to indicate my connection was fine. When i just moved my computer downstairs (closer to the router) and played a game though, all the problems went away.
I actually ended up buying one of these and haven't had any problems since. It actually uses the ground wire of your house to transmit information.
Best of luck !
Either upgrade to the deluxe edition on steam (recommended because you get DJ Skully and some extra skins and the artbook), or you can buy it on amazon.
