Android phones can use the firefox app, which also allows extensions, just like the desktop version.
Get yourself Firefox and Ublock Origin.

Looking at OP's post history, I think it's here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7WWHDB5
I agree that the results as they are probably reflect more the demographic of Reddit than that of people who experience asmr.
I was into binaural years ago before ASMR. Here are links to 2 of my recordings:
Woodland stream: http://www.freesound.org/people/Ephemeral_Rift/sounds/76392/
Neighborhood walk: http://www.freesound.org/people/Ephemeral_Rift/sounds/75830/
P.S. I will be using these Mics again in my ASMR vids.
So some thoughts on the site.
Your site is really slow, you should look into ways to speed it up. It takes over 6 seconds for the homepage to load initially and around 14 seconds to complete loading. You've got 43 javascript calls on that page alone. This is probably because you're hosting with Google on a shared service, but you still probably want to cut down as much as possible.
Your color scheme doesn't quite go together. Check out http://www.colourlovers.com/ for some good palates (really I just think it's the background that's off)
Your left hand list is too long. You need to find a better way to browse. Maybe a separate page for type of tingle and another for artist in a grid layout?
I think you've got a real start of what might be something nice here. Stick with it. :)
That is incorrect.
Note the banner at the top of that Wikipedia page: "This article does not cite any references or sources."
The reason for that is that it isn't true. That isn't what the word "binaural" actually describes, that's just what a handful of people decided it should describe.
Here's a dictionary entry for reference: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/binaural
The relevant definition: "(of sound) recorded through two separate microphones and transmitted through two separate channels to produce a stereophonic effect."
Here's another: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/us/definition/american_english/binaural
"Of or relating to sound recorded using two microphones and usually transmitted separately to the two ears of the listener."
Binaural just means anything that elicits a stereophonic effect. Any stereo recording (of the same source) will elicit such an effect. Using a dummy head improves the effect, creating a stronger sense of localization for the sounds.
Dummy-head recordings are better binaural recordings, but they aren't the only ones.
OP, you’ve put your Amazon affiliate ID &tag=dian0c-21 into the submission link. Just as you did with the head massager thingie.
Guys, if you want to buy this but not someone else getting a small amount of money for the referer, use this link without any additions:

I am about 90% sure that this lady is showing how easy it is to peel hard boiled eggs that have been cooked in an electric egg cooker. I was on amazon last week looking at them and recognise the kitchen lay out from a review video. Can't find the specific one now..
Edit: FOUND IT! Top review. https://www.amazon.com/Egg-Genie-Electric-Cooker/dp/B0026RXLGU/ref=pd_ybh_a_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=0YQSXX60NCXS9YA8S0FM Similar?
I mean, it's a strange sort of satire. You can buy sharpened pencils from him. At an outrageous markup, but you can do it. He did write that book, amazon link here. For satire, he really commits. I love his show, Going Deep, because it's all about the little details that you may not think about everyday things. The toaster episode was spectacular.
Don't get me wrong, I like YouTube red. I really like that there's a non-advertiser first party option to pay content creators. I even pay for YTr.
But most people don't want to pay for things - so the bulk of the money is from advertisers. Advertisers want their ads to be seen. They also want control over HOW their ads are seen.
The advertisers realized that YT creators need the money from ads more than the ads need YT creators and that YT would do almost anything to please them. Then you add in the fact that YT wants to become a TV streaming service where they have to play nice to the networks if they want that to grow. You're going to see the end to making money on YouTube doing whatever you want. It's going to change to "making money on YouTube doing what the advertisers want".
So why would an advertising agency want to advertise on something that has a high chance of not being seen? ASMR is getting more popular but it's still very weird to the outside world, advertisers don't like this type of weird. And so on.
What really gets me nervous is that this isn't a platform problem. Right now everyone is saying "jump ship to vid.me" but if vid.me gets popular enough then the advertisers have nothing to stop them from doing the same thing, pulling ads until videos they approve are the only ones that get their money.
After a few minutes, it already looks promising. A couple things:
I use these every night. They are pretty great even when on the side and make for good earplugs when you are not listening to anything. Super inexpensive too.
Fun Fact! I've used f.lux on my desktop PC, not really to change the color temperature (make it warmer at night) since it annoyed me when the colors got all wrong in games and photo editing, but one can also neutralize that and merely use its built in keyboard shortcuts to increase/decrease screen brightness (Alt+PgUp/PgDown)!
Beats going through awkward monitor menus.
Well, you could make something other than VLC the default player for all those file types, which would give them the icons for whatever program is the default -- there are some instructions here for associating media files; you can follow the same steps to disassociate the files instead.
You could also use a program such as ResourceHacker or even VLC Icon Changer to try and switch the icon, but from what I gather your results may vary with your technical ability. There's some discussion about it here. I've never tried either of these, but those should both work to get rid of that cone.
I've been playing a new game called Banished, which is basically Sim city in the middle ages. Its good for the same reasons; slow, adjustable pace and it doesn't require your constant attention. I've been muting it and listening to videos as I play, although the game sounds are fairly relaxing themselves. Worth checking out for any Sim city fans.
How about using one of those music pillows which you can connect with your phone and iPod? I've never had one myself, but they look pretty comfy. I looked online and found this one on a German website. On Amazon, I could also find this ergonomic smart pillow. I don't know if this is something you'd consider trying, but it could solve your problem. Hope this helps :)
My request is similar to oldblanchy's. I'd like a video of the back writing game; where one person traces a word or letter onto another person's back with their finger. Similar to this, but slower and gentler and more... ASMR-y.
This really interested me so I did a quick search and found she is actually running a kickstarter for getting these ready for public release. Its fairly pricey if you want to donate and get one(or a pair) of gloves though.
Seems like Jazz is the best that go with rainymood. [edit: spelling]
"How many games do you have on steam?"
"okay we'll put you in this category"
"no, actually it isn't even the highest category"
Bane of my existence right there... I have a lot of games, but I don't have A LOT of games.
Edit: Springbok, are you willing to divulge how many games you have on Steam? Also if you check on SteamDB what you're 'Games not played' percentage is?
Edit2: Springbok is NOT willing to divulge how many games she has on steam. There is a reason the 'submit' button on SteamDB is labelled "Get disappointed in your life"
Fox Picture(s): Okay, nobody freak out, foxes aren't really very dangerous to cats and nobody was hurt in the proceedings
My earliest ASMR memories were from elementary school. There are plenty of videos in this theme, but I haven’t found vids with certain triggers.
The first “missing trigger” from when I was little was when the teacher used a chalkboard liner on the board. The teacher did it slowly, always smooth with none of those horrible “nail on a chalkboard” sounds. I’ve never seen one in an ASMR.
The next thing was the light clacking of the teachers shoes as they walked the room during tests. Very quiet and slow clacks from a pair of low heels. Sometimes I’ll hear that sound, but not necessarily in that context and usually not a focal point.
Weirdly, the last one was the lice lady. Something about the calming voice paired with the feeling of the long qtips on the scalp. I know there are a lot of cranial massage-type things, but I think I’d like to see more... localized style? Like I don’t necessarily want a literal lice check video, but maybe some type of scalp thing that uses more precise tools as triggers (as opposed to brushing and the like). I think I like the spatial aspect.
No, I use them all... I sort of understand that a free internet will never happen... It is plain as day however...
https://adblockplus.org/en/privacy
You could try that incognito thing if it really bothers you, I guess...
I've heard the headband ones are not good; I forget why but the Amazon reviews motivated me to buy this one instead. I found it to be extremely comfortable to wear even while lying on my side because the bud part is almost completely soft, no hard part. The sound quality was good enough for asmr. The downside is that mine stopped working for no reason after a year or so, so it was not that long lasting. I'm okay with that since it's relatively inexpensive and easy to replace.
I have three things to say to you, all consoling:
As you get older, you'll lose the ability to hear such high-pitched sounds.
You can filter that sound out with an equalizer. It'll be up near 20 kHz somewhere.
The recordings the Internet Archive don't seem to have that sound. Enjoy!
I've seen some ASMRtist's reading videos, but I don't believe I've seen a complete audiobook series (yet). I ran across this searching for content a while ago, an almost complete series of Peter Pan. I couldn't find a page with all of the chapters listed in one place, which is why I used the search results link.
If you like poetry, I found this one by INKDOG to be really great!
Thanks! I love it! I picked it up while grocery shopping at Costco the other day. :-) http://www.costco.com/Leo-%2526-Nicole-Ladies'-Stripe-Tunic-Prague-Blue.product.100129672.html if you were wondering.

Yeah, bad times. Once my ban is up in February I'll be sticking to stuff that's on Project Gutenberg which as all out of copyright.
I have to say though its its probably a bit more hassle than its worth. I was thinking of just sacking the reading in and going down a more traditional ASMR route. If you're making all the stuff yourself then theres no copyright involved.

I like asmr videos because aren't as uniform as white noise generators. Before I knew about asmr I would sometimes use websites like simply noise but after listening a while it would feel uncomfortable because it was so uniform. Asmr videos switch up the sounds with tapping/whispering/whatever which makes them perfect.
CF.lumen. I concur with this recommendation, it's the best one by far. Lux is good without root, but it's almost worth rooting just for this.
As usual, Google translator’s result feels a little weird, but you get the idea of most sentences.
Bing seems a little smoother, but decide for yourself:
http://www.bing.com/translator/ → put in OP’s link in the left field, → select Hebrew as source language → select English as target language → hit Translate
Nice to see articles about ASMR popping up in newspapers, magazines and blogs around the world more and more. It definitely is an international phenomenon.
From reading his/her post, I doubt OP has experience with things like statistics or market research and analysis...
Not that many do! If someone really wants to do ASMR research, I suggest they go to something like Coursera and take a class or two on statistics, research, and perhaps psychology.
These classes are offered from great institutions like Duke, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, etc.
Personally these wouldn’t be for me because they still have a wire and are in ear. Laying with earbuds in can cause damage with ear wax build up, infections due to moisture and they are a strangulation hazard (however unlikely that may seem)
I use a pair of Bluetooth headphones (headphones) which lay flat against my ears and reduce (not completely remove) the likelihood of ear damage.
Amazon Earbuds are my favorite cheap earbuds. They sit in your ears pretty flush, so they're easy to lay on. Flat cable doesn't tangle too bad, and the buds themselves click together with magnets. Big fan of these.
I have these and love them. Have used them every night for about 3 years. Slide sleeper as well. https://www.amazon.com/AcousticSheep-SleepPhones-Classic-Headphones-Medium/dp/B0046H8ZHS/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1536944146&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=sleepphones
Since they didn't link it in the article for whatever reason, here's the app on the Google Play Store and App Store. I installed it a while ago (it was initially released April 29th), but I hadn't realized they'd added an English option. Frankly, I wouldn't recommend it, since the voice acting is (understandably) stiff coming from a novice English speaker reading off a script. The Japanese voice acting/audio quality is good, just as you'd expect from DLSite material. I can't comment on the VR aspect, since I don't have a headset, but it's just a standard Google Cardboard sorta thing. You can switch between English/Japanese and standard/stereoscopic in the settings at the start menu.
If you have an android tablet or phone, try this app, Night Mode. I listen to ASMR videos right before I go to sleep and it dims the screen so much that I can barely see it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pt.bbarao.nightmode
Hey, revisiting this thread to say, this article on the frontpage now seems like a great introduction to ASMR. Not only does it have a bunch of videos embedded in it with various triggers, it also kind of explains ASMR and how it came about.
I love how the H1 sounds, but for that sum you may want to look into the Blue Snowball Mic although I'd get the H1 for recording in other settings too (I used the H4N to record class lessons) and for/if you decide to upgrade.
Though the article is related to music chills or tingles people may find this interesting - https://www.theguardian.com/science/2016/jun/17/breakthrough-in-understanding-the-chills-and-thrills-of-musical-rapture
I extracted the "blip" here: https://clyp.it/mhnk1pee
And some background noise with the blip in it (0:20) here: https://clyp.it/xqcghbm2
I think I'll probably watch the film again later, and will try to note when the sound occurs so I can pull a better clip of it. If I do find a better clip, I'll update this comment.
If you're looking for props that would induce ASMR, I would get shiny Christmas tree garland, linked below, fashioned into something like hawaiin leis. To start, softly tell them to relax and remain still. Then you would place the lei over their heads first, thereby lightly brushing it over their hair and garland like this is always static clingy and tingly anyways. Secondly, a decorative looking jar or crinkly bag filled with baby powder. Baby powder is safe for everyone and not messy. Use your finger or brush and dip into powder. Lightly trace some sort of woo on their foreheads and face, like annointing them or something, followed by some slow hand movements in front of their face. Lastly, a very close cupped mouth-to-ear soft innaudible whispering into their ears. Gibberish but with a lil bit of our favorite sk sk and wet mouth sounds snuck in there too. Gently place your hand on their shoulder in a comforting and reassuring manner and then move on. If any of those other students are able to experience ASMR, they will. From a performance art stance, I think this will come off as very ritualistic in nature. Once you finish performing this on the other students, you can describe the calming and euphoric tingling sensation, like a tickle across the scalp, and ask for a show of hands of anyone who felt it. After you see all the hands pop up, then you can explain to them what ASMR is, the many styles, triggers, and benefits such as treating anxiety, insomnia, depression, etc. Good luck. Check back and let us know how it works out for you or you can shoot me a message.

If you live in the U.S Funimation has the license for it. Their service is around 4 bucks if you want to watch it subtitled and around 7 if you want to watch it dubbed.
No prob brother! As far as usb mics, Blue makes a great series of em, any of the yeti's are perfect for most ASMR applications (except binaural, but that's a whole different bag o' worms) and the quality is definitely good enough for youtube.
Fun fact, I have a great friend from denmark, and I exclusively call his country daneland to him :), he's actually one hell of an animator over there and made a small film that oddly enough triggered my ASMR a couple of times because of the strange/textured sound design - it's here if you're interested.
yup, im subbed there and have interacted with ethan /u/h3h3productions a couple times on the sub.
They also are running a patreon where im pretty sure donators can get exclusive behind the scene stuff and probably some vids of ethan banging a jeff dunham doll. https://www.patreon.com/h3h3productions?ty=h
Dunno about any pop filter, but I doubt it; I found your tone too fast and too loud, relatively speaking, to be calming in the way I expect of ASMR videos. For example: <em>Whisper</em> NY Times newspaper article reading. BTW, if you want to read audiobooks: https://librivox.org/
http://asoftmurmur.com/ - I enjoy this from time to time, just a bunch of controllable background noises.
Ephemeral rift is my favorite ASMRist, I don't know many but you could try out MassageASMR and the french whisperer
I love ASMR Rooms. I haven't seen a lot of channels that offer it. You might also like the site: https://mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/ It has lots of great soundscapes. Though it doesn't have the beautiful scenes.
Are you familiar with Binaural Beats?... if its not what you are looking for, you could try listening to them in conjunction with other asmr content
Binaural Beat generator - https://mynoise.net/NoiseMachines/binauralBrainwaveGenerator.php
A more manual approach - http://onlinetonegenerator.com/binauralbeats.html
Theres a program called AMP WinOFF that might help you. It allows you to set a time for windows to power off/sleep/standby etc. I usually set it to go to sleep 30 minutes later, and turn on an ASMR video.
I record using REAPER (which is free to try and you can save your work) and highly recommend it. Using two mics is definitely doable, and yes it usually requires an audio interface (a Zoom H4n which seems fairly popular among content creators will also double as an audio interface for external mics). All you need to do is plug your mics into inputs 1 and 2 for instance, and make sure you're recording in stereo (that option is chosen in software). The more truly "binaural" you want to get, the more pricey your options become. For my channel I just use 2 SM58's (actually one is AudioTechnica but I forget the model, it's their version of the SM58) and they aren't in between a head, but my intention was just to do a wide ear-to-ear whisper effect. If you have more specific questions I would be happy to try to answer them to the most of my knowledge.
REAPER is great recording software and the trial has no limitations, meaning you can save your recordings. Unlike Audacity, it allows for panning automation, meaning you can basically draw in lines for where you want the sound to go. http://reaper.fm
You sound like this is "just a test" and not a perfectly fine ASMR video. I listened to the whole thing and apart from the two minor audio problems it was great! Fixing the audio (stereo and volume) shouldn't take more than a couple clicks with Audacity (or similar software). You could simply reupload it with fixed audio on your new channel. :D
If you know what GreaseMonkey is then I suggest https://greasyfork.org/scripts/1317-download-youtube-videos-as-mp4, with this you can direct download to mp4 files, no converting or 3rd party websites. 360p and 720p work straight like that but 480p and 1080p need to merge the audio file separately. Also if you download the audio file only (.m4a) you need to "change the youtube DASH audio file container to normal m4a, you can use ffmpeg.exe for that (command line.)
Thats great thank you! I had a look at some of his work and yes you are right, quite challenging when read aloud. I would love to read this aloud for you, although Im not sure if it would be that popular with my other subscribers. Who knows though right? I am offering personalised videos for a select number of my Patrons over on my patreon page if you were interested? You could choose Idle Days on the Yann as your personalised video! :D xx
> I'd be interested to see what Amal makes with her patreon and compare that as well but I don't know how to find that information.
Look up sleep phones. They're soft head bands with headphones inside. Ive used the Acoustic sheep ones which were solid, but a little pricey to me. Wireless is absolutely worth the extra cost though. I plan on ordering this pair next since my last ones broke. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R8N383L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_CQG8VKBBTKS350RGZJK4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I ordered these from Amazon last year and haven’t looked back since. They are really comfy and as a side sleeper, my ears don’t hurt any more. There are loads on Amazon, think I searched sleep headphones.
My only issue is that my forehead does get a little sweaty but I’m a very hot sleeper like a radiator.
I have tried several pairs of wireless earbuds and the issue that I've run into is they're all too big to sleep on comfortably, and if they fall out then who knows where they'll end up.
This is especially frustrating if I'm traveling because that's when I extra want to listen to ASMR to sleep but I also don't want to lose my belongings in a hotel bed sheet or under the bed.
I ended up getting a Bluetooth sleep mask that was nice for a little while until the charging port broke. The other frustrating thing about Bluetooth was inevitably I would forget to charge it and then be started awake after an hour or so of dozing by the BATTERY LOW message screaming in my ears at full volume.
The solution that I came up with that has worked really well is a wired set of sleep phones from Amazon and a Bluetooth receiver with a 3.5 mm plug that I plug them into.

I am currently using this pair of binaural earbud microphones :https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GAW69M/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's only $25 on amazon and can record decent binaural audio for a new asmrist. I am currently using this mic on my channel (ASMR Bino) paired with some white noise reduction in audacity. This microphone was actually only $15 a couple months ago when I bought it but even with the price increase to $25, I think that it is still a great deal.
Little sweet. Heavy, moist. Would probably work.
Bought it to have some stuff at home during the pandemic.
Figured I'd bring stuff in that would store well. Inexpensive.

So I went to amazon and searched through the reviews for people complaining that a lip gloss was too thick and sticky lol. This one was complained about a lot so I bought it https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N3Y5V04/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Kinda hilarious what ASMR people prefer over other people.
YouTube Red is pretty awesome. (If you, like me, find yourself unable to watch content in the background anyway, you're probably in a region where that's resreicted; I use MullvadVPN to set my region as the United States.)
To add to this, while GW and HF are quite popular, WW does a loot of work beyond youtube. She wrote a book about ASMR with Julie Young called The Idiots Guide to ASMR.
it was sleepphones, but the hardware got busted after a few months. You can buy replacement buds online, but they're nearly as expense as a new set.
So I bought these. They're not nearly as comfortable as the sleephones, but they work.
I just bought the 350 LED version of this light - clips onto the top of your DSLR and it's dimmable with adjustable color temperature too.
Comes with batteries and everything, though I just bought it for $115, so it seems to have gone up in price a bit.
Instead of relying on subreddits to make customized filters available to its users, you'd do yourself a favor to learn about the Reddit Enhancement Suite various filters options. They're really handy.
There's a tab at the top for the "filterline". It looks like a funnel. It lets you create various filters based on a variety of attributes (including flair) that you can turn on and off. There are other more permanent filter options in the RES settings where you can do things like exclude keywords for the absolutely vile "muckbang" videos.
The least useful method is the advanced Reddit search, but it's good to know about. You could do a search like
flair:unintentional subreddit:asmr
If anyone is still interested! The book is now out! I would love any feedback!
The only thing I can think of that triggers a similar feeling is my mechanical bell sound on my alarm clock. It's similar to the sound in the ending credits of Alice is Dead 2, which is the only other place I've heard a similar sound.
CONGRATS! You're so close to the big 1,000! I hit that subscribe button immediately 💖 I'm also working hard on my channel (same name as my Reddit username), but I haven't quite caught up to you yet!
Hey nice! Yeah it got pushed to November because of covid outbreaks in China. But it should be available November 1st. I'm going to try an put a link here but I've been thwarted so far! https://www.amazon.com/Please-Wear-Headphones-Guide-Coloring/dp/1524877387/ref=sr\_1\_1?keywords=asmr+coloring+book&qid=1662432642&sprefix=asmr+colorin%2Caps%2C78&sr=8-1
I get these silicone airpod hooks and use one in the non pillow ear. They never fall out.
Haha ok, so. I filmed with my phone using one of those adjustable bendy phone holders like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313507364775 I also used one of those collapsible photography set ups like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Non-Woven-Backdrop-Background-Photography-Television-Green/dp/B075ZV4Y4R/ref=asc_df_B075ZV4Y4R/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309904628344&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=754565719390500384&hvpone=&a... Using the frame from the photography set up I put it over my desk so the bar was above my filming area then I wound the bendy phone holder around the pole
i know you have specified no bluetooth. but since it swaps between bluetooth and corded i thought i might suggest it.
although it’s pretty cheap. i would say that the sound quality is good for the low price. could always go for a more expensive version and be very happy with the price. but jbl have never let me down : )
I like these guys. Once in awhile they give me a little bit of a hassle with the Bluetooth connection but they're comfortable, even for side sleeping.
For the price and the experience I get while being able to sleep with them in, these have worked for me pretty well.

The developer describes his work as "comics you play like games and games you read like comics". This is the first of his I've played/read, but I'm planning to explore more. "The Empty Kingdom" is about the final days of an MMO before the servers shut down for good. It's just all around pretty neat.
Oh! This is a weird one, but I just have to see if anyone else remembers this. There was a SNL sketch years ago, with Phil Hartman. He was the "Anal retentive [something]". For example, The Anal Retentive Chef. This goes down as the only "acting" video that has worked on me. His handyman one was my favorite.
NPR. It's never loud and often thought provoking. Soon enough, you'll become the guy who says, "I heard something really interesting on NPR the other day..."
The iHeartRadio app has a dozen or so stations around the country which is great if a particular guest or topic isn't doing it for you -- or it's a pledge drive for that station. They also offer a trove of back catalogue podcasts for nearly every program you hear on the air and many that are only available online.

Yeah seems about right 🙄 Contemporary ASMR is just about getting the most hype content.
The article is now up on Buzzfeed Music. Thank you all for your input -- it helped shape the piece into something very different from what I thought it would be when I started writing it!

Another interesting trigger, that people might want to try out with a person they know, is guided drawing. Simply, one of you sits down with pen and paper, and the other one tells you how to draw. For example, 2 centimeters to left. Or, keep drawing to the left, until he/she says stop. Apart from really bringing on the tingles, it's also a funny excercise. I will make a seperate post for games involving things like this.
e: it's not as good as I remembered it. Check out this little quick flash game from way long ago. http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/204356 Turn down the sound, since it's fairly loud. Perhaps somebody could take a jab at making a new version.
One more! Only 20 seconds but you can see her face. I went through 100 pages of her news stories and think I got all her videos. Not creepy at all.
Ah I thought it might be her. I remember replayed her 20 second ipad video about 5 times when I first found it. Any other videos by her?

China could take them on. I don't know about ASMR though. ASMR (Sound Fetish) does seem to be established in Japan. Total number of video users per site is irrelevant really, when it's a culture thing. http://www.nicovideo.jp/tag/ASMR 552 videos with the tag ASMR. I don't have Japanese character set on this machine to search a different way.
China’s Youku Tudou now serves 500 Million
March 21 (Reuters) - Google Inc's YouTube said 1 billion unique users were now visiting the video-sharing website every month, or nearly one out of every two people on the Internet.
Nico Nico Douga has over 26 million registered users and 1.5 million premium users
Vimeo Reports 100 Million
The number of ASMR people on Vimeo seems to come and go. 127 videos now, https://vimeo.com/tag:asmr , but there were a few more a couple months back.
I have these headphones. I love them. It's my second pair. The first lasted about 3 yrs, I replaced it last year. I use them every night and have never worried about the charge lasting. I've even forgot to plug them in in the morning and they still had enough charge for a second night.
I have these. Not specifically designed for sleep, but they work well. Stays in your ear, play/pause does not activate accidentally, soft and comfortable, long battery life, only $50.
I have these.
Battery lasts 10 hours or more, plus I can pull it down and use as a sleep mask. If you look up Bluetooth headphones for sleeping on Amazon there's different styles. The audio isn't super amazing but it does the trick for me.
"Night mode" just reduces eye strain, but a lot of the light is still leaking from the LCD that would effect your body clock and keep you awake. For the proper effect you would be better off using f.lux.
Seems the best thing to do is just download an updated version and see how that works.

If it doesn't, you can try converting the mp4 file to a .wmv for which you'll need a converting tool.
