FWIW, I really do recommend you keep your collar on your dog, it really is better for their safety, and the noisy tag thing is easily addressed. It only takes a moment of carelessness to leave the door open and they can get out. Microchips are a good backup, but the easiest way to be sure you get your pet back is to make sure they have their tags on.
My uncle is the author of the book “A wolf called Romeo” who lived in Alaska and they would have their dogs play with Romeo all the time. Check out his book if you guys want to here the full story behind him: A Wolf Called Romeo https://www.amazon.com/dp/054422809X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ggFXBbSBKVPK4
The rescuers are photographers, or I mean, someone in the family is.
EDIT As per the link on the Instagram account, it's the father.
We set up one of these for our crow buddies to hang out at our window. Lets the dog and birds socialize even when the window is closed.
this was my absolute favorite story as a kid. I’d have my mom take me to the library two or three times a week to read it to me (no idea why she didn’t just buy it but...)
Scarlett is the best cat in the world
The sequel is the blessing of the animals. The story is amazing. The man that adopted her was in an industrial accident and she kind of rescued him too.
> If it was two little human kids with leashes people would go crazy and the police would be called.
Um. I'm guessing you're not from America? That's a thing here...
They sell them on Amazon. Only $7.53, what a deal!
You could just get one of the many dogs that look like wolves and have a pet that's easier to train and more domesticated.
You could just tell people he's a wolf.
Plus all of the cutest videos. Mama was so happy to escape her babies
No, it's a separate app.
It's like Chrome's incognito functionality, but as a separate app. And since its a separate app, you can set it as your default browser. Which is nice, because then you have lower loading times and no 3rd parties tracking you.
You can still open anything you've opened in Focus in any other installed browser. And you can clear any data set by sites in Focus on demand.

if you expose a cat to a lot of weird things as a kitten, they're more used to it as an adult cat. like baths, strangers, car rides. riding on shoulders.
no, the cat doesn't really need lifelong baths, this could maybe even hurt the cat's coat if it happens a lot. But, kittens need to be shown a lot of stuff, there's a small kernel in that joke "all cats have aspergers".
The most I'll do is a changing mattress like this on the floor. If for some reason I ever leave the kiddo on the couch, I put him perpendicular to the cushions so he can't roll over off the couch - and never unattended, only when I'm right there.
These kind of people don't understand that there being any chance for injury or SIDS is too much of a chance.
There's a great documentary on Amazon Prime, called: Great White Shark: Beyond the Cage of Fear.
It's about a GW named Bruce, and its interactions with a team of researchers, and ultimately with professional mermaid/free diver, and ocean ecology activist, Hannah Fraser.
After you watch it, you'll want a Bruce in your life.
Poor Sashimi-chan :( this is the kitty found on the street in Japan. The rescuer's grandmother knitted several outfits for Sashimi, including a mushroom ensemble. sashimi was bottle-fed and loved and vetted, but passed away when she was a few months old. Heartbreaking. http://mashable.com/2013/08/28/mushroom-kitten-dies/
I found this! on Amazon, which looks like the same general pattern, but is nowhere near as gorgeous.
It's a rug! It only looks bad because you can't see the colors. It's a modern style rug. Like this one
> battled to teach my toddler to swim because the dog would keep pulling him out the water.
Breed dogs for tens of thousands of years to help and protect humans, and that task is inextricably linked.
this dog just keeps itself between the pool and a child
Reminds me of the ents in lord of the rings

Then you might identify with the documentary Chicken People.
For real though, this is to me a really good example of a quality documentary. It is funny, informative, and touching.

Actually, paid ones too. I subscribed to AirVPN for quite a while when it still worked. Not saying you couldn't find a paid one that still works, but they've definitely started to (or rather have done so for quite some time) crack down on paid VPNs too so using one is a game of cat and mouse.
I agree with you. To me it looks like a similar collar to this, the boxy silver with seemingly black fur in the middle along with the extended chain coming from the back. Too hard to tell for certain but I've never seen a legitimate collar look like this
yes it's called a kuranda bed and all of my dogs have loved them! I ordered them on Amazon. They are so much easier to clean than a stuffed bed. now that my cat has discovered them, he gets on there too! Kuranda Walnut PVC Chewproof Dog Bed - Large (40x25) - Cordura - Smoke https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004E2JVKK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_7K0nyb05T2EA7
They have. Soft cones are more comfortable and reversible so pets can eat, drink and sleep in them. But the plastic ones are super cheap so that's what the vet gives out.

Or use a different app. I LOVE redditisfun.
If you get a backseat cover for dog, they often come with anchor points for a small leash and wall him up to make it harder to go to the front of the car.
Something like this.
My cat can sound like this sometimes too, but the vet can't find anything wrong. I have found using lysine daily has dramatically helped. It has helped to such a degree, that when I stop giving my two cats lysine, they begin developing symptoms again. I think they were both born with the viral upper respiratory disease. (They are littermates adopted from the shelter after being born outside and loaded with lots of worms).
I use Tomlyn Immune Support L-Lysine Powder for Cats. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BERPOP4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If the fur markings on the cat are correct, I think that's Fuku-chan and Marimo. They come from an owl cafe in Osaka. They are so adorable.

I'd also recommend the documentary "What the Health?" I was brought up as a meat eater and there are many sobering facts in this that I learned and have since cut back 90%. (eg: one is the length of our intestines vs. true carnivores and the science and biology of how that all works...)
You clearly have not been exposed to such a situation in real life.
There's an old saying, "A word to the wise is sufficient."
Exposing your dog to cattle is perilous to you and your dog. If something happened, I'd feel horrible for your dog because it can't read.
Oh god, you are imagining the typical cage that’s available in pet stores. Aquatic and avian pets do not get the proper attention and equipment in big box stores — no one uses those flimsy cages.
Something like this is the minimum acceptable housing even for a cockatiel that can live up to 20-25 years.
> I've never even heard of a malinois. how does it fit in that hierarchy?
They're very closely related to the German Shepard, but generally more energetic. I believe "German Shepard on crack" is a fairly common description.
The source for all those "most intelligent dogs" lists seems to be this book: https://www.amazon.com/Intelligence-Dogs-Thoughts-Emotions-Companions/dp/0743280873/ The author formed a ranked list of 110 breeds by surveying 200 dog-obedience judges. As such, it's going to be biased towards the breeds that commonly take part and perform well in those events.
Obedience/trainability and intelligence aren't necessarily the same thing though. Cats can be quite intelligent, but good luck trying to train one. Some dog breeds can be similar - a German Shephard is probably more trainable than a Belgian Mal, but that doesn't mean it's smarter.
Good stuff! You probably already know but rabbits need a much higher ratio of hay than Guinea pigs and are more sensitive to fiber requirements. The food mixes are also discouraged (a small amount of Oxbow pellets but the hay needs to make up almost all of their diet.
Kudos for everything you’re doing for the furfriend!
The camera taking the video could be one that’s permanently mounted on the dash, and is always on/recording whenever the car is running. My friend has one like that, and just last month she sent me a video from it (because a super high speed bump popped her up super hard; causing her to spill a smoothie the color of baby vomit all over her shirt while on her way to work).
As for the clicker thing— I believe it’s from a dog training device which lets the dog know he did the task correctly. Here’s an example of one. So it would seem that this dog is still in training, or this guy just always rewards his dog for correct actions. Either way; it makes sense considering he gives a treat right afterwards.
I don’t think he started driving with the intention to make this video. His dog just signaled low blood sugar, the guy double checked with his device, and then showed it to the camera (at which point he had then decided this would make a good video) because he wanted to show off his pup’s mad skills.
I don't think I explained my point well enough because I wanted to keep it short but it looks like I shot myself in the foot. Its not that people don't care, but that this isn't really the place for that discussion.
Agreed I cannot create my own reality, but can I at least browse r/animalsbeingbros without the animal cruelty discussions? Its kind of what I like about it.
Yea I Wash like twice a week unless I am sweating. Then I for sure wash it to get all the oil out. I also started using one of these as well to really get the conditioner down into your scalp. I think it helps with dead skin as well, I was getting a little bit itchy.

Here's a tip having dealt with a dog with a cast. We used a neoprene bootie, folded down and situated to slip on over the bottom of the cast for going outside. Even the dew in the mornings is enough to start breaking down the wrapping of the cast.
Something like this worked for us.
Good luck to you and your pup.
I'm wondering if it's one of these:

Not once in your life it has occurred to you that you are wrong and leftist propaganda is incorrect.
Based on your username involving code I strongly advise you to check this out.
I'm truly, honestly and without question curious about your findings there.
Looks like both are is sold about 30 miles from here in stores. I'll give them a try at some point. Also looks like Gardein doesn't use soy which means it may actually not taste horrible to me (I have issues with the taste of soy do to the bitter flavor in it).
Issue for me is
1) I'm not driving 30 miles to buy food each time I want to buy it.
2) I doubt it is as cheap as the meat I buy when I do buy meat.
3) It will never be as cheap as the meat I normally get since I live in farm country.
4) No one is going to trade me 'meatless products' for the use of my land in this area.
5) neither product seams to replace bacon.
Once lab grown meat is reliably available it will most likely displace most meat products, which will eliminate most of my issues (that are listed above for 'meatless products').
Out of curiosity. Do you have an issue with lab grown meat?
Edit: fixed "lag brown meat" to lab grown meat"
Edit2: I just looked on amazon. An 8 pack of 9 ounce mild and tangy barbecue chicken wings is $15.72 a pound. They can get bent at that price...
I often only buy meat if it is cheap. 7 pounds of bacon for $10, steak-ums 2 pounds for $3, chicken nuggets/strips/etc buy 2 get 3 free (not sure how much they weigh but it comes out to but the normal price is $5 a pound).
Sorry it is a watering hole water bowl for large/sloppy breeds so as not to spill all over the place.
Darwin emphasized competition, now we are beginning to look at the other side.
Both have equal survival value.
I have always had dogs. I love dogs. I am not, however, blind to the transactional nature of our relationship and that we have BRED THEM to love us.
I was just reading about a book Unlearn Your Anxiety and Depression after hearing an interview with the author at Commonwealth Club of California. Glad Max was there to comfort you and maybe these links will be helpful for you. Feel better
Ants individually aren't intelligent, but as a group they can behave in intelligent ways, although they don't do it the same way we do. If you ask a random person to guess how many marbles are in a container you won't get a very accurate answer, but if you ask 1000 people and average their answers you'll get a much more accurate result. We can understand our environment and communicate with others to create a more accurate model of the world, we are the only animal that does this. An individual ant will run in a random direction when it feels vibration such as a foot stomping on the ground. This doesn't help the individual ant much but when thousands of ants all run in random directions it results in them scattering, protecting the colony. Ants release pheromones in response to environmental stimuli. They do this automatically, it requires no understanding. The pheromones they release are received by other ants who are influenced and also release their owns pheromones. This complex network of ants signalling eachother can respond in ways more intelligent than any individual ant. It's similar to how you can understand this sentence, but no individual neuron in your brain can understand anything. I recommend the book From Bacteria to Bach and Back. It talks about how consciousness may have evolved, and how cultural evolution began to overtake biological evolution.

This was the one we got. It was amazing. My golden used to constantly choke himself pulling so hard. Slipped that on him and instantly things were better.
I was walking with a friend who had his big dog, after dealing with the pulling and seeing my dog, he bought one the second he got home. Never looked back.
You probably qualify for a service dog, depending on where you are. The rules regarding pets in your housing situation (unless you are homeless) don't affect service dogs since they aren't pets, they are qualified service animals that help you live a more independent life. Also, depending on the program, you may get a trained dog, or you may have to train your own dog. The latter may seem intimidating, but many people who have trained their own dogs say it has helped them understand the nature of their PTSD (or whichever other condition) in a much deeper way.
A great book about service dogs is The Possibility Dogs by Susannah Charleson, I really recommend it. It is written sort of as a memoir but also contains a bunch of stories of different people with different conditions, including PTSD, and how their service dogs have helped them. Charleson also has her own foundation that helps people find or train their own service dogs.
Whether you choose to get a service dog, a pet dog, or no dog, I wish you the best! PTSD is no joke.
